Unable to create content properly in UCM 11G

Hi All,
We are generating content ID's using Profile Rule activation condition -> Side Effects, below is the sample script we used in rule

In 10G we are able to create contents properly using this as well as through component making use of validateStandard filter, but in 11G this is not behaving properly. When content is created is it showing content got created but it is nowhere available for search.
Please help us to get this worked in 11G. Let us know if we need to make any configuration changes for this to work. Appreciate your help on this. Thank you

    We have used validateStandard filter to assign content id with 16 digits in UCM 10G and it worked well, we deployed this component in UCM 11G but it is not working properly. When we click on Check In button content is getting created and displaying Check_In Confirmation with 16 digit Content ID, upon clicking on Content Info it is displaying the complete info page. When we try to search the content it is not displaying in search results, also when tried to export it using Archiver it is not creating batch file. When we see logs in View Server out put it is displaying

So far the workaround is to use one Container Name at a time when creating the Warehouse.

Content categorizer engine, UCM 11g: ClassCastException.

Hi!
I try to register a categorizer engine in Content Categorizer in UCM 11g, on Linux.
My Extractor Class — SccMyTaxonomyExtractor extends SccTaxonomyExtractor.
When i try to build query tree, and click Content Categorizer Administration -> Query Trees -> Build Query Tree -> Overwrite contents of Taxonomy Cache, i get ClassCastException: SccAMyTaxonomyExtractor cannot be cast to contentcategorizer.SccTaxonomyExtractor.
Why?
I build my classes using contentcategorizer.SccTaxonomyExtractor from sccserver.jar (this .jar i get from UCM), with jdk 1.5, and jdk 1.6. Each time i get this exception.
Can anyone comment this?

According to the documentation ( http://docs.oracle.com/cd/E21043_01/doc.1111/e10797/c04_finding_files.htm#g1300865 and particularly http://docs.oracle.com/cd/E21043_01/doc.1111/e10797/c04_finding_files.htm#CJAEAHED ) only asterisks and question marks are used as wildcards for metadata search fields. No information about underscores - (according to this: http://docs.oracle.com/cd/F49540_01/DOC/inter.815/a67843/cqspcl.htm they are wildcards for Text queries in Oracle DB)
However, Kyle in his article https://blogs.oracle.com/kyle/entry/site_studio_naming_best_practi recommends not to use underscores for Site_ID as it "causes numerous issues", so you'll be on a safe side to get rid of them.

Howto install Related Content component on UCM 11g

Hi,
I did install URM 11g to test the Related Content component.
Does the component also work with UCM 11g. Are there any special metafields required?
Another problem is that I can't build the Related Content component, cause it is not listed in the URM ComponentWizard.

Yes it does work with UCM 11g
It is a little hidden but can be installed as follows
Admin Server > Component Manager
In the first paragraph click on the link to advanced component manager
THen on the this page find the text
"If you really wish to modify URM components from this page, please click _here_. " and click the link
You should now find that the RelatedContent component can be enabled just for UCM.
Please mark this one as answered (if it works of course) as it may well be useful to other people looking for this hidden feature!

Unable to create Content Repository

We have installed SAP Content Server6.4 with MAXDB on windows server 2003 IIS6.0 successfuly.
After that i have created content repositoy through OAC0 & Category through OACT. When we try to execute Create content repository through CSADMIN we are getting error
HTTP error: 404 Not Found
HTTP error: 500 (Internal Server Error) "Co
Z_CON_REP or Storage entry not defined"
When we check the content server status it is showing the status running.

You need to supply the "Key Store Location", "Key Store Password", "Private Key Alias" and "Private Key Password' to use socketssl.
Also please make sure that the content server has enabled "Use SSL". You can configure it using the enterprise manager.

Unable to create table in Oracle EX 11g

I am new user without any background to Db or SQL. Recently I have installed Orale EX 11g and was trying to create new tables using script menu. Please guide me further as I am unable to do it. Error is Invalid Identifier.

And please post the exact Oracle error code you get ("Invalid Identifier" is too generic).

Unable to create content area item for RDF-report

According to white paper "Security tips in Oracle Reports Services (release 6i with Portal 3.0)" I'm trying to integrate an Oracle Reports 6i RDF-module in my portal.
All goes well including running the report from de reports definition file.
However, when I want to create an item in the content area referencing the report, the report-application is not visible in the lov Application Components. The only aplication component I'm offered is "PEOPLE_APP: People".
Perhaps the following problems are related to this problem:
1) When looking for applications in the Portal Navigator, the report-application is missing in the applications list. However, after using the Find...-option the application is shown. Should report-definitions been shown ?
2) After installing rwwwvins.sql the package body WWV_RW_SB is invalid with errormessage "PLS-00306: wrong number or types of arguments in call to SET_SSO_SESSION".
Can anybody help ?

One problem solved...
It appears that I should have stated the application as "Expose as Provider". After doing that the report appeared in the lov.
Unfortunately one problem still remains. The package WWV_RW_SB has errors causing the parameterform to fail. I've rerun the rwwwvins-script but the package body stays invalid.

Workflow: content = 1meg? UCM 11g

I want to create a workflow to notify approvers if an image being checked in is bigger than 1 meg. What is the best way to accomplish this?
-I know there is a variable called dFileSize that stores the size of the file in kb, but this field is not an option in my criteria definition field selection.

you can further define the entry criteria in the workflow step so something like

jump to notify user step (see the idoc Wf functions in the idocscript guide and the workflow admin guide for details)

go to approval step or exit

you workflow steps may look like this
entrystep (everthing goes in in that needs evaluation)
notify users of size (with 0 approvers required, therefore users get the email but it exits by itself
approval
Alternatively you can modify the workflow email template to provide the dFileSize information in the field.

Does UCM 11g provide any default skinning options?

I have 2 questions basically:
1 )In UCM 10g there is an option to select skins IN My Profiles menu which provides 2 skin options, Oracle and Oracle2.. Is it possible in 10 G to create a website and use these two skins in your website to change menu, layout etc?
2) My actual area of work is to create a website in UCM 11g, i couldn't find any such option in 11 G which 10 G provided in My Profiles. Are there any default skins provided by 11G. How can I make use of these skins in my web application?
I found out that we can apply different kind of skins in 11g using ADF Faces. But that is not to be used in my project. Is it the only option in 11g?

OK I think you have confused two things here.
1)UCM ships with a native interface that is delivered by UCM based on HCSP/IDOC (A proprietary server side scripting language for generating HTML) this has been the case for about 10 years or so. THis native interface is used to provide the basic CMS capability and is oftent used as a simple clean front end for document management type deployments. UCM has very limited abilities to natively support personalisation (it does this by storing user settings on the file system) and one part of this is the ability to choose a layout and a skin. THe rendering of this profile is done via the HCSP/IDOC.
2)Since the Oracle acquisition of Stellent (~2007) there have been a number of productised ways to integrate UCM behind the Oracle ADF front ends of JDeveloper, WebCenter etc. The latest version of Site Studio lets you do just that using SSXA. I am not an ADF guru switiching between skins sounds perfeclty reasonable. BUT this has NOTHING to do with the old Oracle Oracle2 skins as far as I know.
I think you may be trying to run before you can walk really. First get to know UMC, Site Studio and ADF, then look at Site Studio SSXA and hopefully you will understand how/where skins can fit in.
Not trying to put you off but you have set quite a challenge to yourself

You can pretty much do anything with metadata, but depending on how many "N" relations are can reach limits in HTML or query strings, or Javascript for Dropdown lists or DB tables.
So planning for maximum use is needed.
If you create a metadata field xRelationToSite and put a drop down list with the list of web sites or sections you want to relate content to, then each content can be set to relate to one or many sites.
Then a new field could be created like xRelationToFolder and you can link content to different folders so that one file is outside of folders but you can make a Virtual relation to 10 or whatever folders instead of copying the same file into 10 folders.
Or you can relate content to each other by setting a metadata field xRelate to one value for all related files. xRelate is a free text field and you can put any value in there. Then you can check in any number of files and specify any text string in xRelate and bing bang boom they are all related.
That is the 1 to many relation with one value being related to multiple files via that one metadata field value. You display the list by doing something like a Library folder query to simulate a folder. (Weblayout Editor)
Then you could create a new page and or a new query in the Library page with a query that uses an AND or an OR operator (or create your own customizations if you don't like the library pages) to take the relationship to a N to N or many to many relation.
Since this is all metadata it is not so hard code limited like other options that are maybe "easier" like the Related Content Component but it is more robust since it is conceptually simpler.

Unable to create a Site Content in Web Page Composer

I am new to WPC and would like to explore more on the same. I tried following some blogs inorder to create and publish Web Pages.
I was stuck at a point where we need to create a site content. I guess all the permissions required to access each folder is properly set.
When I tried to create a content like for example an article... A window pops up which says please select a document type and I dont have any option to select whereas I have a cancel and next button at the bottom of the screen. When I click next nothing happens.
Did anyone went through this issue? What am I doing wrong? Did I fail to set some role to the author creating content?? Author has wpc_editor_role though.

The popup window (which I suppose is an XML Editor) doesnt have any UI Element to select when I try to create any content... may it be an Article, Linklist, etc...
I am using WAS 2004S SP 14. As I mentioned, all the xml and xsl files are available in the folder and even in the KM Configuration.
My problem is, I am unable to create a content as the popup window is blank... No UI Element to select or enter.

UCM - Unable to create table 'WebdavUserPaths'.

Hi,
we have UCM Version:10.1.3.5.1 (091014) (Build:7.2.4.29). It runs on production environment and also we have a test instance.
It runs fine for long time. Yesterday I stopped the content server on test environment. Problem is that I am not able to start it anymore. While starting I am receiving this error:

While analyzing this, I found there is the table WebdavUserPaths in the database and it is empty. This table is present in both databases - PROD and also in TEST. In both envs it is empty.
I found out that when I disable CoreWebdav component in ComponentWizard, then the content server starts up fine, bud WebDav is not working of course...
I would need to solve this issue, but I do not want to start immediately dropping that tables, etc... without knowing what is it used for, why content server wants to recreate the tables, etc...
Any body has an ideas?

I have installed OBIEE 11.1.1.6.0 in Windows 8 .All the links in presentations services are working properly except New icon. I am unable to create a new report , dashboard,filter or prompt .I can see my Subject area in Manage privileges but it is not opening all the links in Manage links are not working .Weblogic has following roles Administrators ,BI Author, Bi Administrator ,Bi consumer but still unable to create a new report.

Try to Open the catalog offline using Catalog Manager and give permissions as in http://www.cool-bi.com/Issues/CatalogPermissions.php

Check whether Standard transport switched-on is enabled or not. To get transport request your setting should be as follows : RSA1-->Transport Connection-->Edit-->Transport
