Unable to disable "panel on power on"function on U945

HI, I just bought u945 from officedepot
But the panel on power on function is always on, even I tried to manually disable it in BIOS, it's still on
I have tried to do it by system setting in windows 8
Is it a common issue for u945?
if there is no way to fix it, I will return it, this is so frustrating issue. (It turned on when I was walking around campus and drained off half battery life)

I have installed Simcity 4 and found that it runs better on software mode(running on the cpu)
but even though its faster than when I try to run it in hardware mode I still think it is a bit slow,
its clear that if i got 4 cores split into 8 threads and simcity is only able to use one thread 1/8th of the total processing power,
it should run faster if it was able to use one whole core.
Besides I think that 4 cores should be enough I usually dont have very many programs running at the same time so I dont think i would get much improvement
in speed except maybe in startup.
I dont suppose it would be possible to update a BIOS to support more functions?

RESET DEVICE
Hold down the Sleep/Wake button and the home button together until the apple logo appears (ignore the ON/OFF slider) then let both buttons go and wait for device to restart (no data will be lost).

Satellite C670D-11G - unable to disable screensaver

I've bought a Toshiba c670d-11g and I'm unable to disable the "screensaver" function.
Every 3 minutes my screen fills up with waves & fractals if I don't touch any key.
How can I disable this extremely annoying fuction?

Start > Control panel > Display > Personalization (bottom left corner) > Screen saver (bottom right corner) > set screen saver to NONE

IOS 7.0.4 Messages not working, unable to disable iMessage

After upgrading to IOS 7.0.4, I am unable to send Messages from my iPad2. I have the same issue on my iPhone 5s but I was able to disable iMessages in Settings and it works in SMS mode. I tried to disable iMessage in Settings on my iPad 2 but each time I do it then prompts me for my Apple ID password everytime I launch Messages. When I enter my password it accepts it but it enables iMessage, which will not send a text, I get the "not delivered". Since I'm unable to disable iMessage as described above, I'm completely unable to send any text messages from my iPad. Luckily I do not get the same results on my 5s, it allows me to disable iMessage and does NOT prompt me for my Apple ID/password and therefore does NOT reenable iMessage.
I've tried closing Messages and power cycling my iPad2 but the same issue occurs.
Both devices are runing IOS 7.0.4.

Thanks for the replies from all. The first issue was that I don't have a cellular iPad (I forget) so of course I could not turn off iMessage as I did on my 5s.
The real issue was that when my Wife's 5s was upgraded from IOS 7.0.3 iMessage was disabled. This did not happen on my 5s or my Daughter's 5s so I didn't expect it.
So, check to make sure that iMessage is enabled after upgrading from 7.0.3 to 7.0.4.

HP Pavilion g6 Notebook unable to disable Touchpad or access Synaptic to configure it

Recently, I have been unable to disable my Synaptic Touchpad on my HP Pavilion g6 Notebook and, me being a gamer, it is quite annoying fore I always end up moving the Touchpad with my wrist which will, in turn, move my Cursor.
I have done research on this problem and all the answers I have found, I tried and they proceeded to fail. I am quite infuriated and do wish someone knew what was going on and will help me.

It looks like you are facing difficulties with the Touchpad of your Notebook
We will surely assist you with this
Steps to drain the Static charge and loading default BIOS settings to resolve the issue
Step 01. Turn OFF the Notebook
Step 02. Un-plug the Power/AC Adapter and also remove the Battery too
Step 03. Press and Hold the Power Button of the Notebook for a full minute
Step 04. Now let's re-insert the battery back in and plug back the Power/AC Adapter
Step 05. Start the Notebook and keep tapping F10 Key during the startup to access the BIOS
Step 06. Once you get to the BIOS, Please press F5 Key to load setup defaults for the BIOS
Step 07. Now let's press Esc/Escape Key. Save Changes and Exit - Yes
Step 08. Now please wait till the Unit loads the Windows Operating system
Now please re-install the touchpad drivers from HP Website in order to resolve the issue

How do I disable the "Clear Recent History" function in the tools drop menu?

I've figured out how to disable the "Start Private Browsing" function, and would also like to delete the "Clear Recent History" and "Forget this site" options. I have teenaged children and would just like the options gone.

Disabling it in Firefox itself wouldn't help, since the users would still be able to find the files in profile folder and delete them manually. If you want to disable that, you might log in as Administrator on your system and modify the permissions to the history file, but it would end up in Firefox (running at the user account) being unable to add data to the file as well.

wait it for your iPhone to die then before it turns it plug it into iTunes while holding the home button and it will force it into recovery mode.
will be hard to get the timing right cause u will need to wait for the battery to die and charge up again. Other then that just take it to apple and have them replace the device for a fee.

Might you have a newly acquired iPad that is still locked to someone else's Apple ID? If that is the case, then you will need the former owner's Apple ID and password to proceed. That feature is called Activation Lock and described here:

If you cannot get that former owner's Apple ID and password, you will never be able to use the iPad.

Memory leak with Power Spectrum function

I have a memory leak on my application. By observing with the "Desktop Execution Trace Toolkit", the Power Spectrum function (from NI_AALPro.lvlib) seems to have two "Reference leak".
The first one refers to the function "Open VI reference"; I got around this problem by replacing the "Open VI reference" by an "Initialize" input boolean, but I don't understand the second memory leak.
Any idea ?

Loading in a second Actions panel with the same functionality as the first, but independent from it

The actions panel is perfect at what it does; however, if you have a few action sets and, in order to eliminate scrolling, you need to expand them into a double row of buttons, it quickly becomes difficult to maintain. As soon as you delete an action or add an action to it, it disorders the others and you have to reorganize again, which becomes a vicious cycle. I like to keep things organised and neat with all that I do and pretty much the only way to have this feature is to expand it on the back end of the software or, if possible, create a script that loads a second Actions panel with the same functionality as the first but completely independent from it. I assume that the SDK will not allow us to expand on the software in this particular way, as Photoshop is not open source; however, maybe this suggestion will be taken into account for future updates or versions since I have yet to find a suitable way to do this.

Hi, there is no fix for this unfortunately. However you can plug your iPad into iTunes and providing you have made a backup, you can restore from it

A few months ago, I was enlightened by a thread about how to disable panel stretching and enable the execute disable feature on my N200 laptop (these were features I'd been missing for years) by means of SymCmos. Now that I have an X200, I was impressed to see that you can enable virtualization and execute disable right from the setup screen, but I still can't find any way to disable panel stretch ("scaling") for times when resolutions other than 1280 by 800 are displayed on the screen. Does anyone know of a SymCmos tweak (or any other kind of fix) that can make this happen? Thanks.

If you mean. Settings> General>Restrictions>Allowed Content>Websites, then disable the restrictions and you should be able to do what you want to do.
