That one's consistent with disk/file damage. The first thing I'd try with that is running a disk check (chkdsk) over your C drive.

Select both Automatically fix file system errors and Scan for and attempt recovery of bad sectors, or use chkdsk /r (depending on which way you decide to go about doing this). You'll almost certainly have to schedule the chkdsk to run on startup. The scan should take quite a while ... if it quits after a few minutes or seconds, something's interfering with the scan.
Does the chkdsk find/repair any damage? If so, can you get an install to go through properly afterwards?

I have downloaded a trial version of Dreamweaver CS6 to my MacBook. Why do some features not work? I have OSX 10.6.8. I am using this trial version for a class I am taking on coding webpages using Dreamweaver. there are features I am using in class that will not open up or appear as options when I use the trial version. Are certain features locked out until I buy a copy or download a purchased copy?

Trial versions have no functional limitations, though your setup/situation might not be supportive of all functionality. You'll need to identify specific issues to get help with them. You should be posting in the DW forum instead of here if your issue does not have to do with downloading/installing.

By the way, if you are still interested, I found a solution. It's a bit crazy, but basically I have insulated the parts of the keyboard connector corresponding to the power button using some thin tape and then used a very thin wire going from the logicboard (where the test pads for startup are located) to my eject key, this way the original power button does not respond anymore and the eject key can be used as the power button, just like in the new Airs

Serial numbers only have number characters, so if you are seeing letters you are not looking at a serial number. You might be looking at a redemption code though. Redemption codes are used to acquire serial numbers in situations such as yours where you buy the product from some retailer.

Have just reinstalled Acrobat Pro XI and the Fit and shrink to page size options are not working - Any ideas?

When printing to a laser device my Acrobat Pro XI all of a sudden was not shrinking oversized pages to fit on paper. The Fit and Shrink to page options did not work. Could still output file reduced by using the percentage box but wondered if anyone else has encountered this problem before? Reinstalled Acrobat but problem still there.

I suddenly have started having this same problem. Anyone have an answer?

A couple of years ago i bought photosho elements 10 online. So i didn't get any of the discks to download the programe. But i was able to instal it will a downloaded trial. Since then I have bought a new computer and would like it if i could downlolad the trial version again so i could put in the serial number and have access to photshop elements 10. The only problem is that since their is the new photoshop elements 11 i cannot find the trial for photoshop 10 anymore. It is very frustrating and i just want to be able to get photoshop without having to spend anymore money.

So you bought the download from Adobe? If so, go to the main page of adobe.com and click on My Adobe (it was at the upper right near the search box the last time I looked, but it moves around). Go through the links there and you should find a link to download the program again, but this time save the zip or dmg file for the future, since those links are only for a certain amount of time.

I am unable to download a newer version of Firefox because it says that I have one that is open. I can't figure out where the open one is???

Do a clean reinstall and delete the Firefox program folder before reinstalling a fresh copy of Firefox.
Download a fresh Firefox copy and save the file to the desktop.

Trial version is the same as the purchased version. No need to uninstall the Trial, you can simply serialize it and use it.
