Unable to login to Universe Builder

Hi,
I get the following error when I try to login to the Universe Builder.
"Unable to cast COM object of type "DesignerX12.Application Class" to interface type 'DesignerX12.IApplication.' This operation failed because the QueryInterfaceCall on the COM component for the interface with IID.....
Any help is appreciated.
PS: CCM Server ON.

Were you ever able to log on to Universe builder?
Are you trying to create Universe on the Top of SAP CUBE OR QUERY?
Have you done any update of Service Pack and Fix Pack?
Make sure your services are running fine.
If it is SAP then have you installed Integration Kit and if yes make sure you select SAP Autnetication.
if you have done update then check to see if all servers are running in CMC.

I have changed the profile parameter but still not able to login.
After logging in XI thru SAP GUI, I have clicked on "Start Integration Builder" from SAP Easy Access menu. I have got the XI screen (http://srmprd1:50000/rep/start/index.jsp). Here I have tried to login to Directory and Repository.
Please note that I have got the same error message in the log file.
BTW, what is ..."ID003814 : JNDI Exception in getInitialContext of InitialContextFactoryImpl.." ??

Unable to login any user id first time in the Adobe content viewer (R25)

This is a known issue with the v25 Adobe Content Viewer. It is fixed with the v26 version, which is currently awaiting approval from Apple. If you have a Pro or Enterprise subscription to DPS, you can build a custom Adobe Content Viewer.

FRM-91500: Unable to start/complete the build

Hi,
I have oracle10g application server running on my linux box A, oracle database10g running on linux box B and Developer Suite10g running windows box C. I create a fmb file and ftp into application server box A.
but when i try to compile the .fmb file, i get the following error.
FRM-91500: Unable to start/complete the build.
i have set all these paths as mentioned below.

and i saved the EX01_01.fmb under /home/oracle/oracle/OASMidtier/forms
Now when i give xclock iam able to see the clock.
but when i execute the following iam getting unable to compile error.
[oracle@oracledev bin]$ ./frmcmp.sh userid=student/pwd@orcl batch=yes module=EX01_01.fmb module_type=form compile_all=yes window_state=minimize
infact as an additional information. whenever i do a
sqlplus / as sysdbai get following error:
ERROR:
ORA-12545: Connect failed because target host or object does not exist
what does this error mean. how can i fix this.

after rechecking all the configurations, r u successfully login with the database?yes i am able to connect without error. i figured out i was getting this error whenever i was changing the ORACLE_HOME from Infrastructure path to Midtier path. is there a way to work around this?
also i am able to compile the .fmb file now.
it is very strange. well it kind of worked, but this is what i did. i gave the following env variables:
ORACLE_HOME=/home/oracle/oracle/OASMidtier; export ORACLE_HOME
FORMS_PATH=/home/oracle/oracle/OASMidtier/forms; export FORMS_PATH
ORACLE_TERM=vt220; export ORACLE_TERM
and then when i executed the following:
cd $ORACLE_HOME/bin./frmcmp.sh module=/home/oracle/oracle/OASMidtier/forms/EX01_01.fmb userid=student/m4ewr0e1@orcl module_type=FORM compile_all=yes
i got the error as: FRM-91500: Unable to start/complete the build.
but when i did the following, it worked:
./frmcmp_batch.sh module=/home/oracle/oracle/OASMidtier/forms/EX01_01.fmb userid=student/m4ewr0e1@orcl module_type=FORM compile_all=yes
and i got the result as:
Created form file /home/oracle/oracle/OASMidtier/forms/EX01_01.fmx
i just dont understand. why did the frmcmp_batch.sh worked and frmcmp.sh did not?
Can you please explain me why?
also when i give the following:
DISPLAY=<servername>:0.0; export DISPLAY
and when i give: xclock i get error as:
Error: Can't open display: <servername>:0.0
but only when i give
DISPLAY=:0.0; export DISPLAY
and then when i give: xclock then i am able to see the clock.

Hi Chaitanya,
Some probable steps that you can try doing are:
- It is recommended to have a minimum of JRE 1.4.2 or higher. But its better not to have JRE 1.4.2_10 and above as it has been noticed to throw errors.
- To avoid auto updates of J2SE to higher versions go to the control panel and open the Java Plug In icon. Browse to the update panel and uncheck the checkbox for Check for Updates Automatically.
- Open Web Start and go to Preferences. In the General tab you will find 3 radio buttons for proxies. Select the None option.
- Try clearing the cache folder Java Web Start>File>Preferences>Advanced>Clear Folder and then try downloading the jar files again.

Unable to login in to Mac App Store using valid account.

I recently inherited a spare MacBook Air from my wife (who got a new one). I deleted her user account, and set up a new admin user account for me. The machine is running 10.7.5.
Now, I am absolutely unable to login to the App Store. I am using my valid Apple ID -- for example, the same Apple ID that I used to gain access to this very forum. System Preferences accepts my ID. iTunes accepts my ID. BUT the App Store will aboslutely NOT respond. It will not load. I get the red "connection failed" alert, and then after several tries it doesn't respond at all.
It doesn't give any option to switch users -- perhaps once the original owner has used the App Store, the computer will never again allow anyone else to use it? It doesn't say that there is another user logged in. There appears to be no way of deleting and reinastalling the App Store. There is no cache file I can find to be cleared. There is no preference option. There is no information. There appears to be no way of fixing this at all, short of wiping the hard drive and reinstalling the operating system. Is that what I have to do? WHY IS THIS SO HORRIBLY DESIGNED? And why is there no support short of the forum? I hate this about Apple (despite being a long-time Apple evangelist and OSX devotee).

The first thing you should do after acquiring a second-hand computer is to erase the internal drive and install a clean copy of OS X. How you do that depends on the model. Look it up on this page to see what version was originally installed.
If the machine shipped with OS X 10.4 or 10.5, you need a boxed and shrink-wrapped retail Snow Leopard installation disc, which you can get from the Apple Store or a reputable reseller — not from eBay or anything of the kind. If the machine has less than 1 GB of memory, you'll need to add more in order to install 10.6. I suggest you install as much memory as it can take, according to the technical specifications.
If the machine shipped with OS X 10.6, you need the gray installation discs that came with it. If you don't have the discs, order replacements from Apple. A retail disc, or the gray discs from another model, will not work.
To boot from an optical disc, insert it, then reboot and hold down the C key at the startup chime. Release the key when you see the gray Apple logo on the screen.
If the machine shipped with OS X 10.7 or later, it should boot into Internet Recovery mode when you hold down the key combination option-command-R at the startup chime. Release the keys when you see a spinning globe.
Once booted from the disc or in Internet Recovery, launch Disk Utility and select the icon of the internal drive — not any of the volume icons nested beneath it. In the Partition tab, select the default options: a GUID partition table with one data volume in Mac OS Extended (Journaled) format. This operation will permanently remove all existing data on the drive, which is what you should do.
After partitioning, quit Disk Utility and run the OS X Installer. When the installation is done, the system will automatically reboot into the Setup Assistant, which will prompt you to transfer the data from another Mac, its backups, or from a Windows computer. If you have any data to transfer, this is usually the best time to do it.
You should then run Software Update and install all available system updates from Apple. If you want to upgrade to a major version of OS X newer than 10.6, buy it from the Mac App Store. Note that you can't keep an upgraded version that was installed by the previous owner. He or she can't legally transfer it to you, and without the Apple ID you won't be able to update it in Software Update or reinstall, if that becomes necessary. The same goes for any App Store products that the previous owner installed — you have to repurchase them.
If the previous owner "accepted" the bundled iLife applications (iPhoto, iMovie, and Garage Band) in the App Store so that he or she could update them, then they're linked to that Apple ID and you won't be able to download them without buying them. Reportedly, Apple customer service has sometimes issued redemption codes for these apps to second owners who asked.

Unable to Login to Creative Cloud App

Photoshop CC was crashing every time I attempted to open a new file inside of the application (Photoshop would stay open as long as did not attempt to open a file.)
I uninstalled PS CC.
When I attempted to reinstall. I received the following message in the CC app:
"Unknown Server Error: Sign in is currently unavailable. We are unable to access your account. Please try again later."
I ran the CC cleaner, restarted, and reinstalled CC. I am still receiving the message and unable to login.
My password has been reset from the recent security warning, and I am able to login to my Adobe account online, and everything seems to be in order.
I am running on OS X 10.8.5.
HELP, please.

Unable to login with Jabber Windows

Hi ,
Am unable to login the Jabber Windows Client. Getting the error as "Unable to Communicate With the Server".
Able to login with CUPS & CUCM end user page. CUCM Integrated with LDAP.
While going through the UP Profile logs seen that "Failed to SOAP login".
Tried with restart of CUCM & CUPS several times but no go.
CUCM Version - 8.6.2
CUPS Version - 8.6.1
Tried with CUPC client result also same.

If credentials work on CCMuser CUPSuser I would suspect either some kind of communication problem between the clients and the servers and/or misconfiguration (user/device/line association, device owner, roles, CTI/CCMCIP profiles, etc) on CUCM/CUPS.
Specially because you mention the same happens with CUPC.

Unable to Login into APEX after upgrade from ORACLE XE to APEX 3.2

I have upgraded Oracle 10g XE to with apex_3.2 on the Windows XP.
My ORACLE XE wa in folder "C:\ORACLE XE"
And APEX 3.2 in folder "C:\Ver 3.2\APEX"
Once you complete the standard install, i performd the following steps to complete
the upgrade which i got on my previous post.
Till normal installation i was able to login in Apex link and was able to run my application which was
in oracle XE but the only problem was i was unable to see any images in "EDIT PAGE" but my application was running well.
then i did following steps to get those images
Connect to SQL*Plus as SYS
@APEX_HOME/apex/apxldimg.sql APEX_HOME
@APEX_HOME/apex/apxxepwd.sql password
(where password is the password of the Application Express internal ADMIN account)
I chanbged image directory as below
FROM:
create directory APEX_IMAGES as ‘&1/apex/images’ ;
TO:
create directory APEX_IMAGES as ‘c:\oraclexe\apex\images’ and also tried ‘c:\ver 3.2\apex\images’;
Ran @apxldimg.sql
@apxxepwd.sql password (where password is the password of the Application Express internal ADMIN account)
Exit from the SQL*Plus session.
Change directory to c:\oraclexe\apex\owa, open the README.TXT file and follow the instructions within to complete the installation
But now i am unable to login into the page itself. It "showing Page Not Found"
Please kindly help me how to run APEX now through link.

I got error while doing following steps in few procedures
Change directory to c:\oraclexe\apex\owa, open the README.TXT file and follow the instructions within to complete the installation
Before doing the above step i was able to login into my application but without images
Can you please help that how to check those errors and any particular procedure you know which is responsible for the Login problem.

Open Directory - Unable to login Workgroup Manager

I am unable to login to Workgroup Manager with my diradmin account.
I know the password is correct.
This is on Mac OS X Lion 10.7.2
Everything was working fine last night, but then it stopped functioning. I am able to see all the users, but they are greyed out. When I try to login, I get "The login information is not valid for this server"
The LDAP log shows a bunch of the same errors that it did not show before.

Try logging in to Workgroup Manager using the local admin account not the diradmin account. If this works, then try accessing the /LDAPv3/127.0.0.1 choice using the diradmin account.

Can not log into server computer with any accounts - "You are unable to login to the user account "abcdefg" at this time. Logging in to the account failed because an error occurred."

I have a Mac mini running the latest version of OS X and Server. Been running fine and flawlessly. However, I had a strange problem with the iCloud preferences panel crashing when I tried to access it, so I rebooted. Now I can not log into the system with any accounts. My master admin account (along with all the others) gives me the error:
You are unable to login to the user account "abcdefg" at this time. Logging in to the account failed because an error occurred."
I am able to see the server from other macs and I can log into it using the same account, but it only shows me a few of the shared folders I have access to but NOT to my main directories.
Rebooting into Command-R and doing a disk utility, I try and repair permission on that drive and get a bunch of errors like:
ACL found but not expected on Users
Repaired "Users"
ACL found but not expected on Users/.localized
Repaired "Users/.localized"
ACL found but not expected on Users/Shared
Repaired "Users/shared"
ACL found but not expected on Users/Shared/.localized
Repaired "Users/Shared/.localized"
Permissions repair complete.
But rebooting is no joy...same problem. Any idea what is going on or how to repair it? Should I do a time machine restore? Complete new OS X install? Any idea what is causing this or how to salvage it?

Got everything to re-install and it worked fine...for a few hours. Then I came in to find ALL of my network users deleted. Just GONE. Then found out the Open Directory was trashed and was unable to open, recover or restore from a backup. Looks like I may have a bad drive here.
I installed a new drive in the system, re-installed and so far (for a couple of hours anyway) the system seems to be working and stable.
