Time bound ATP check

Hi All,
We have a requirement wherein we need to do ATP check for orders having a material availability date of say 4 days and shouldn't do the ATP check for orders having material availability date lying  after 4 days.
Can we do time bound ATP check .Any inputs on how we can achieve this.
Thank you
Abhay.

Hi Ron,
That would not be possible in standard solution
You can check if this could work for
you: in ECC maintain Planned delivery time + In-house Production time  = Total Repl.lead time in P1 ( that is your P3->p1).
In APO “maintain Check control” – Confirmation at Checking horizon
CIF the master data, check if you have
the checking horizon (TRLT) populated in APO Product master (ATP TAB).
Maintain the Checking horizon calendar
– create a calendar and assign it to your location master ( calendar tab and
Shipping calendar) this will be automatically populated in the checking horizon
calendar field in ATP Tab.
Now when a sales order is entered, the
order will be confirmed at the checking horizon.
The negative side of it is that , all
the sales orders will be confirmed at the checking horizon.
Or
You can develop a program where you
can feed in the screen ( from – To)  P3 to P2 and P2 to P1 ( it
will search in the T lane and give the output as P3 to p1 after adding ) and
store this output in a Z Table , you need to modify the code to check this Z
Table to read the transportation time. Need to check on the performance
or will check if other experts has any other suggestions.

  • User exit or Badi for changing the lead time in ATP check in VA01/VA02

    Hi All,
Currently, SAP standard functionality takes up the lead times maintained in material master to create the schedule lines in the sales order in VA01. I am looking for some user exiit/Badi/Enhancement point where I can change the lead time. This is somewhat urgent so any help in this regard is appreciated.

  • ATP check reset start date to an earlier date (typically 5 days)

Any ATP check of assemblies and sub-assemblies causes the start dates to reset to an earlier date than required (typically 5 days)".
    Any thoughts.
    Charles

The above issue occurs every time an ATP check is done on assembly orders. The reset of start date to earlier date cause nerviousness in the production schedule and impacting all assemblies on which an ATP check has been made.
    Any thoughts.....

  • ATP check partial Quantity allocation to Sales Orders

    Hi,
Our client has three different sales order types for processing sales differently for the same materials.
While doing ATP check they have a order of priority i.e ZOR1 -> ZOR2 -> ZOR3 with ZOR1 highest priority.
For sales order type ZOR2 currently they donot have partial quantity allocation to sales orders.i.e if two orders, Order 1 created with 100 Qty and other Order 2 with 50 Qty and if ATP is 50 Qty.
System is allocating material to Order 2 which has order quantity 50 ( Which equals ATP Qty )
Now the client requirement is to configure system such that it does partial allocation to Order 1 ( order qty 100, where as ATP Qty is 50 ) i.e system should allocate even partial quantity to sales orders, that too in FIFO ( system should allocate ATP qty to order created first then next and so on )
Please let me know what changes i need to do to achieve the above functionality in SAP system.
    Thanks
    Venkata Rama Reddy.K

    Dear Venkat,
Please check the customer master for the customer which you have maintained in the 1st order. If the customer allows partial delivery, them the system will allocate the stock to the order which is created at first.
At the time of ATP check(In Availability Screen), you do need to choose, One-time or System proposal, which will allocate the stocks partially to the 1st order as you don't have enough stock.
Check out the settings in the customer master (for the customer in the 1st sale order) under Shipping Tab.
    Partial delivery per item  D/A/B
    Max. partial deliveries    >0
(And more thing, you mentioned that sales document type is having priority. As of I know - there won't be any setting which will set particular sales document type with high priority. If you are really doing that kind of setting - update the same in this forum - it may help others..)
    Hope it may help you.
(Venkat: Has your issue solved? Kindly update in the forum - if your question is answered)

  • ATP Check in ECC

    Hi,
In ECC, can ATP check while creating Sales Order; trigger production if stocks are not present. Will ATP check be able to confirm the dates if stock not available.
Also please share what time variables does ATP ceck consider if stock is present ( ex transportation time etc)
    Regards
Edited by: amlanapo on Dec 27, 2010 3:50 AM

    Hi
The production order would not be created if ATP check finds out that no stock is available to confirm the order. The production orders would only be created after the MRP run in ECC. Once an order is unconfirmed in SAP due to unavailability of stock etc. the order goes and lies in SAP as a backorder. Backorders need to be processed seperately in standard SAP as and when stock gets available. At the time of ATP check if no stock is there and no production orders are there then the system cannot predict when the stocks would be available. As a result the confirmation would return a 0 quantity and shift the order to a backorder.
The ATP check can determine if in future stocks are expected based on the availability check parameters and checking rule. If in the availability check scope production orders are included then it will be considered to see if availability is there based on the future GR date of the production order.
If stock is present then ATP does the check based on the requested delivery date entered in the sales order. The system calculates back to find out if the stock can be made available on that day by measuring the transportation dates based on the routes. The number of days in the route would be taken into account.
    Thanks

  • CRM 5.0 ATP check to ECC not including pick / pack time in ECC 6.0

Been searching SDN & OSS, our ATP check in 5.0 is reading the proper inventory in ECC but when no inventory is available the date being returned is the total replenishment leadtime in the ECC material master. (good)
When the order is entered in ECC if no stock exist, the total replenishment leadtime become the material availability date in the ECC schedule line, we have 2 days pick / pack time in the shipping point so the confirmed date is 2 factory days after the material availibility date.
Therefore in CRM the ATP date in CRM looks to be 2 days earlier than desired or what ECC provides.  I also set up the vendor partner in CRM but that did not help.
Anyone have experience with this one?
One similiar topic, if total replenshiment leadtime is 3 days and saturday & sunday are not workdays.  a CRM order placed on saturday gives wednesday (monday, tuesday, wednesday) as the date.    ECC gives thursday (tuesday, wednesday, thursday)

    I had 2 issues
    - I didn't have the X set in SMOFPARSFA so i was doing availibility information which doesn't include scheduling (pick pack)
    - other issue was timezones which required note 1423767

  • ATP Check with replenishment time

    Dear All,
The system behaves, when we use the 02 availability check type in the material master and assign 02 check type to control rule A in OVZ9.In this assignment the no replenishment lead time is not selected;that's the system will take the replenishment lead time into account. But even if there's not enough stock, the sales order quantities are confirmed.
When I activate/select the "no replenishment lead time in OVZ9, the system confirms what's available in the storage location.
Is there thing missing in customizing? Is there any OSS note? The client actually requires the replenishment lead time in the availability check but the system also should give the correct confirmation in ATP check.
    What should be else?
    Regards
    J.Black

Here what the problem is, even if the stock is not enough, the system confirms all the sales quantity in the sales order when the "check without  replenishment lead time" in OVZ9 is not selected. This is wrong.
But when the "check without  replenishment lead time" is selected, the sales order quantity is confirmed correctly. What is available in the stock is confirmed correcly. This is correct.
So the client wants the replenishment lead time selection in the OVZ9 and so that forward scheduling should exist but the stock availability check is şncorrect. What should we do now?

  • ATP Check at the time of creation of Opportunity.

    Dear Friends,
We have a business requirement in which we are supposed to perform the ATP check @opportunity level. When we are trying to assign the ATP Profile to the Item Category OPPT, the ATP profile is not available for opportunity. there is a FM "CRM_ITEM_TYPE_FIELDCHECK_CB" which is responsible for hiding the   ATP Profile field for opportunity "OPPT" Line Item.
I have update the ATP Profile for opportunity in the Maintenance View "CRMV_ITEM_TYPE"
I have implemented the 2 Badi's also CRM_ATP_EXTERN_BADI & CRM_ATP_EX_POST_BADI but none of the implementation is being getting called in case of opportunity.
But when i am creating Quotation the above BADI's are being getting called.
And moreover, the Availability Check for ATP in customization there is no RFC system maintained neither the Control Information.
But I am confused, why in case of Quotation the BADI's are getting Triggered and why not in Case of Opportunity.
Please Advise me on the above and if I am missing something or if there is any alternative for ATP at OPPT level.
    Your answer will be rewarded
    Thanks in Advance,
    Kind Regards,
    Ashraf.

    Hi Ashraf,
The reason is that ATP is run only for transaction type of category SALES ( BUS2000115 ) but opportunity is a different category. The only possibility you have left over here is to enhance the Event framework in CRM through tcode CRMV_EVENT.
Add these entries and see if it works, since there are a lot of checks so for beginning you can add these events in tcode CRMV_EVENT.

  • ATP check active when creating sales order - want to deactivate

    Hello experts,
at the time we created a sales order, the checking group for availability check in the master data of an article was "02" (Individual requirements). However, this was a master data error, as the correct setting for this article is "KP" (No check). We have changed this setting in the article master, but now we have a problem with the delivery, as we can not confirm the required quantity in the desired date. The ATP check says we have no availability (based on the wrong master data existing during the creation of the order), but we need to override this check.
Is ther any way of "overriding" the ATP check of the article in our sales order, thus taking into account the "KP" (no check) setting?
Thank you very much in advance.
    Kind regards.
    Marcos

Have you actually created the delivery yet? If not, you can use the following path to deactivate the ATP check during delivery:
    > SPRO
      > Logistics Execution
        > Availability Check & Transfer of Requirements
          > Availability Check
            > Determine procedure for Each Delivery Item Category
Perhaps turning of the ATP check temporarily shall help overcome the issue.

  • SD- Sales Order - ATP check not working for few item in same sales order

    Hi Experts,
Need help we activated ATP check but for few item i could not find confirmation qty after availability check. In same SO out of 4 items for schedule line it confirming qty for 2 item but  it's not confirming for remaining 2 items though stock is available. Please guide me how to correst and what need to check.
    Manoj

    Dear Manoj,
As you know, ATP is a big subject & some times its difficult to point the exact problem.
In your case, I suggest you to execute the function module:BAPI_MATERIAL_AVAILABILITY using Tx:SE37
key in selection criteria , in results check the "ATPQTY"- it will show you how much actual stock is available for use i.e. ATP qtty.
still if you find the availability & system not confirming the qtty, then problem could be in checking rule
Tx:OVZ9 check in relevant combination, whether you are considering RLT or not?
is this case with MTS or MTO
    because in Sales order -
for MTS - checking rule "A" & MTO checking rule will be "AE"

  • Questions on ATP Check, RLT & Planning

    Hi,
I have a couple of issues regarding ATP checks and Planning, and I was wondering if anyone could help.
    1. We have a setup right now where we are using standard SAP availability check with Replenishment Lead time. In the Purchasing, we might have scenarios where some Purchase orders are indefintely delayed from the Vendors and this has to be reflected in the sales order.
We tried doing that by setting the delivery date in the PO to 31.12.9999 but since the date lies outside of the RLT, the sales order is fully confirmed and the delay in purchasing is not reflected in the sales order. Do you have any suggestions on how we could get around this without deactivating RLT?
    2. We have a requirement right now of using the Planned delivery time in the Material master as working days instead of Calendar days for planning purposes. Any proposal on how that can be done?
    3. We also have a requirement of taking the 'ordering calendar' into account for planning as well as for availability check - the ordering calendar is basically a weekly schedule when the POs are created and sent out to the Vendor. As an example we have a material with Planned delivery time as 3 days and GR Processing time as 1 day. However, we send the PO to this Vendor only on every Thursday.
When the sales order is placed on Friday, using RLT the Sales order will be confirmed for Tuesday next week, but the PO will not even be sent to the Vendor till Thursday next week and we end up giving incorrect confirmations to the customers. Is there any way that this 'ordering calendar' could be taken into account in the Availability check.
    Hope someone can help.

    Hi arnab
one way of achieving your requirements is
after creating the sales order you can execute the SALEs order MRP using MD50 transaction enter the order # and MRP control parameters 1,3,1,2. and execute.
    Ensure the following before MRP.
    1. All the master data are maintained for the schedule line creation for the components ( Source list, Scheduling agreements)
    2. Material master with valid MRP data.strategy group having MTO strategy.
after sales order MRP you will get the schedule line created for the components
also MRp will create the cpacity requirements as we run the MRP with Lead time scheduling.
    Hope this helps

  • ATP Check at Delivery Level instead of Sales Order

In Standard SAP, whenever a sales order is created the ATP check is done and a Goods movement 601 is done for it and gets blocked.
I want that no movement to be carried out at Sales Order Level and should get blocked only at the Delivery level, instead of Sales order.
Can i do this by not defining any movement type in the schedule line category attached to the Item category of the sales order.

    hi amit,
u cannot remove MT assignment to SLCAT ,but what you can do is for your checking group and checking rule remove the ATP check relevancy in requirement class defination in spro customising >sd>availibility and TOR.
so that in VOV4 transaction for your SLCAT atp will be deactivated.
only while posting material doc at the time of PGI system would check for availibility and block the goods movement.

  • Make-to-Order customer Return Order triggers unwanted ATP check

When executing a return delivery on a Make-to-Order (Strategy 20, no APO) material, we notice that the ATP check (checking rule BE) gets triggered.  On a return this makes no sense  and of course fails, stopping us from creating the delivery. How can we prevent that?
Strat. 20 has Req.type KE & Req.Class 040 with the Availability Check flagged, but returns should not trigger an ATP check and therefore the  SLCat is unflagged as such ("Define Procedure for  each schedule line category"), but that seems to be ignored - only for this MTO strategy.
When, for testing, we change the Strategy on the same material to 40,  the ATP check -everything else being equal- no longer happens, which indicates that the Order type, Del Type, ItCat, SLCat are all ok. What link am I missing ?
Somehow, selecting a different material strategy impacts the running of ATP.  It would already be useful to know, if in your system, when using Make-To-Order strategy, you see the same or not.
    Help would be very appreciated.
    Hans.

Thank you for the suggestion.   OVZI already has these settings (MRP type and RqType blank).
I don't see how a setting in OVZI would explain that just changing the strategy on the material removes the problem : the key fields here (ItCat, MRPType) would have the same values and they would both come up with a requirement type, linked to a requirement class which has the AvC active (ovzg).  How come that gets overruled (I presume by the schedule line category DN) for one strategy and not the other ?
I could make an entry in ovzi to force it to go to the same requirement type all the time, but that will impact all materials using this ItCat and MRP type.  That seems like a too generic fix for a specific issue.  If you know of any other link between strategy (specifically MTO) and ATP behaviour, I'd be very interested.

    Hi,
This requirement can not be fulfilled by Standard SAP. But you can address this issue via Z development.
You need to maintain Z table with Customer and lead time. Write a BDC and run this BDC once sales order is created. So that system will change requirement date as per the Z table.
I hope this will resolve your issue.
