Unable to purchase from itunes due to security question page

I am unable to make a purchase from ITunes as Apple prompted a new security question page, and I get an error upon completing it: An error occurred we could not save your changes.
Help!

People have resolved this issue by updating their age to over 21

    When troubleshooting iTunes Store connection issues, the following articles provide the best information:
    First, try signing out of your account in Settings > iTunes & App Store. Once signed out, go ahead and sign back in.

    If you haven't been able to connect to the iTunes Store:
    - Make sure your date, time, and time zone are correct in Settings > General > Date & Time.
              Note: Time Zone may list another city in your time zone.
    - Make sure that your iOS software is up to date by tapping Settings > General > Software Update (iOS 5 or later) or connecting your iOS device to iTunes and clicking Check for Update on your device's Summary page.
    - Check and verify that you're in range of a Wi-Fi router or base station. If you're on a device with cellular service, make sure that cellular data is turned on from Settings > General > Cellular.
              Note: If connected to cellular data, larger items may not download. You may need to connect to Wi-Fi to download apps, videos, and podcasts.

    Downloading updates or tracks from iCloud works fine. Purchasing from the iOS App Store or iTunes via iPhone or iPad works fine.

    This is one of the rare occasions when you should run Repair Permissions (not Repair Disk) in Disk Utility. Ignore the many false warnings that it produces. If there's no change, follow the instructions in this support article.

    Is anyone having problems purchasing from Itunes today?  I was able to easily yesterday but unable to from my Mac, from my PC or from my iPad.

    You're right about the lack of support for Itunes. They say they will answer emails with support questions but its been over a week and I have yet to get a response. I was able to download a movie last night and thought the problem was resolved but am getting the same error message again today. You'd think Apple might want to resolve this as it as I am trying to spend money at the Itunes Store. The message tells me to contact Itunes -- have tried every way possible to do that and no response!

    If you have a rescue email address (which is not the same thing as an alternate email address) set up on your account then you can try going to https://appleid.apple.com/ and click 'Manage your Apple ID' on the right-hand side of that page and log into your account. Then click on 'Password and Security' on the left-hand side of that page and on the right-hand side you might see an option to send security question reset info to your rescue email address.

    What's going on with the iTunes store? I've tried 2 different cards to purchase- a credit card that keeps being declined (and yes, there's ample credit on it), and a Debit card which wont work either! A message keeps popping up saying something like "an error or omission in your details, please correct highlighted details" but nothing is highlighted and all the details are correct. Only had my iPhone for 2 days and I've had a titfull already.

    One correction, from the icloud I was not able to listed to the entire song.  So when you purchased the song if it wasn't downloaded to your library, chances are you have lost your opportunity to listen to it.
