Unable to purchase since update
I cannot make any purchase from apps since update installed on my Ipad I went to Itunes & purchased 1 song & that was allowed but not allowed on the Apps.
I have updated my credit card just to make sure, hooked it up to computer & sync all the data, did hard reset. Nothing has worked. Now what?
I have not yet upgraded, get the same error, and I am on 9.0.1.8..
also got the same agreement deal on my iPhone.. It cruised past it, but it's the only way I seem to be able to purchase from the iTunes store as of now..
Google search doesn't turn up anything yet, except that Apple TV finally got the 3.0 software update.
So it's not just 9.0.2 with problems, but potentially all iTunes users, or at least version 9 users.

Itunes no longer asks for password on new purchases since updating to iOS 6
Since updating iOS to version 6, and updating my Mac to 10.8.2 I am no longer asked to input my password on new purchases and can't see anywhere to re-enable that, it used to be set to request after 15 minutes of inactivity. If this has been taken away Apple need to re-instate it and fast, my kids have iPads and I don't want them to be able to download content without my authorisation, I used to control this by entering my password.
Try changing Settings > General > Restrictions > Require Password to 'immediately'

Error Message "camera is unable to initialize" since update a week ago.
Camera won't work, I keep getting this error message since update android version 4.4.2. HELP!
redchef101,
I am so sorry to hear you are having issues with your device. Lets get to the bottom of this camera issue. What type of device do you have? Was the issue resolved by following the steps provided by tbo27? If you try another camera application do you receive the same error message?

I have reset my phone, put the latest updates on itunes and iphone and thought it might work then, but no luck. I am trying to avoid restoring it as I dont want to loose the data I have purchased that is missing off my itunes since I updated that. I'm not sure how to contact itunes to get my data put back on my itunes on computer. All my purcahsed data from itunes still comes up on my phone as it hasnt been able to sync to the update. DOes anyone know how to contact itunes to have bought data re-put back on. It comes up in my itunes acocount with the date and purchase number but these items are missing from my itunes purcahsed items. Weird?
I am on an imac. Is there anyway I can get around the issue of syncing again or should I just restore once I have contacted itunes about them deleting my paid for items! I feel very ripped off, its like buyoing something from target and having the manager come to your house and retrieve it! lolPlawexki wrote:

Unable to AirPrint since updating iOS 6
I am hopeing someone can help. Since I upgraded my iPad2, new iPad, iPhone 4s, and iPhone 5 to iOS 6 I am unable to print to my HP 3050A. One app says "a connection problem occurred: SSL problem (possible causes may include a bad/expired/self-signed certificate, clock set to wrong date)" while notes acts like the file was sent but printer does not react. I've rebooted the router, printer, Apple devices, everything. I don't believe it is a HP issue since it still works when printing from my windows laptop (sorry guys, haven't upgraded it yet).
Found the solution to the Linux CUPS Server what apple did was change the programming language in the AirPrint printing communication with the printers. For the majority of you guys restarting router may work but since they changed the language you'll need to update the firmware of your printer...go to the manufacturer's website and look for your printer and see if there's an update for your printer...if there isn't ask the printer's support team. But you'd need to update the firmware. For HP D110 you can update from the panel (we have these at work). Best of luck!
If you have a Linux CUPS server see solution below, did this at work and all the users were happy again :)
First, you have to create new mime stuff and restart cups:
echo "image/urf urf string(0,UNIRAST<00>)" > /usr/share/cups/mime/airprint.types
echo "image/urf application/pdf 100 pdftoraster" > /usr/share/cups/mime/airprint.convs
service cups restart
Then you must regenerate the avahi service using the airprint-generate.py script from:
https://github.com/tjfontaine/airprint-generate
This will again create .service file(s) for each of your printer(s).
Then copy the generated .service file(s) to the appropriate directory and restart avahi-daemon:
cp AirPrint*.service /etc/avahi/services/
service avahi-daemon restart
That’s it. Printers should now show up (again) on devices updated to iOS 6. -
Unable to startup since updating to 10.8.5
My iMac was working fine until yesterday when I was prompted to do a software update through the app store. The update was for OS X 10.8.5. However, since I made the update, I have had a non-functioning iMac.
My iMac now won't start. On restart, it goes into a loop between displaying a panic message (superimposed on the startup screen) and displaying a screen with a message in several languages telling me that "Your computer restarted because of a problem". The startup never proceeds as far as me seeing my desktop. However, I can now start in safe mode with a bit of patience.
I'm thinking of reinstalling 10.8.4 but thought I should give 10.8.5 one more go first. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks1

Next, check with Eltima's developers about the issue to see if they are aware of the problem. This way you may find out if the problem is your system.
To uninstall the software you should use any uninstaller that came with the software. Otherwise, see the following:
Uninstalling Software: The Basics
Most OS X applications are completely self-contained "packages" that can be uninstalled by simply dragging the application to the Trash. Applications may create preference files that are stored in the /Home/Library/Preferences/ folder. Although they do nothing once you delete the associated application, they do take up some disk space. If you want you can look for them in the above location and delete them, too.
Some applications may install an uninstaller program that can be used to remove the application. In some cases the uninstaller may be part of the application's installer, and is invoked by clicking on a Customize button that will appear during the install process.
Some applications may install components in the /Home/Library/Applications Support/ folder. You can also check there to see if the application has created a folder. You can also delete the folder that's in the Applications Support folder. Again, they don't do anything but take up disk space once the application is trashed.
Some applications may install a startupitem or a Log In item. Startupitems are usually installed in the /Library/StartupItems/ folder and less often in the /Home/Library/StartupItems/ folder. Log In Items are set in the Accounts preferences. Open System Preferences, click on the Accounts icon, then click on the LogIn Items tab. Locate the item in the list for the application you want to remove and click on the "-" button to delete it from the list.
Some software use startup daemons or agents that are a new feature of the OS. Look for them in /Library/LaunchAgents/ and /Library/LaunchDaemons/ or in /Home/Library/LaunchAgents/.
If an application installs any other files the best way to track them down is to do a Finder search using the application name or the developer name as the search term. Unfortunately Spotlight will not look in certain folders by default. You can modify Spotlight's behavior or use a third-party search utility, EasyFind, instead.
Some applications install a receipt in the /Library/Receipts/ folder. Usually with the same name as the program or the developer. The item generally has a ".pkg" extension. Be sure you also delete this item as some programs use it to determine if it's already installed.
There are many utilities that can uninstall applications. Here is a selection:
1. AppZapper 2.0.1
2. AppDelete 3.2.6
3. Automaton 1.50
4. Hazel
5. AppCleaner 2.1.0
6. CleanApp
7. iTrash 1.8.2
8. Amnesia
9. Uninstaller 1.15.1
10. Spring Cleaning 11.0.1

Unable to "purchase" or download free APP updates
I am trying to download free App updates on my iphone but it says unable to purchase try again later. so i waited a couple days, and it still wont work. and itunes wont update them either. I have the 2.2 software ive tryed to restart it i cant figure it out. anyone know what the problemo is?
thanksI had the same problem. I just fixed it. There are several posts on many forums addressing the "5002" error that date back to the IT8 roll out. My solution started with the post linked below.
http://gosublogger.com/2009/01/how-to-fix-itunes-error-5002/comment-page-1/#comm ent-5330
After trying the suggested fix I posted the following:
Thank you for posting this work around. My iPhone 3G has been unable to update apps as well as iTunes 8 running on my MBPro. I followed your instructions to the letter, but still have the same symptoms with “5002″ error. Next I backed up my Mobile Apps folder again (after the reinstall (I kept the original backup as well)), deleted all, and synced with my iPhone 3G. At this point only the apps from my phone are in the iTunes Mobile Apps. folder. No success. I still get the “5002″error in iTunes, and “unable to purchase” when updating apps using iPhone.
Any suggestions?
UPDATE:
After an extensive Error “5002″ Google search, I discovered the post linked below.
http://discussions.apple.com/thread.jspa?threadID=1716575
I logged onto my iTunes account, and discovered that there was now a blank Credit Card security/CCV field next to the CC number field. Also there was a weird message in red stating that my address did not seem to be traditional for my area, and required editing or some such nonsense. I deleted a few characters in the address field, re-typed them exactly as they were, filled in my CC CCV code, and clicked done. All problems fixed!
I hope this helps..

Since updating my IPhone 4 to IOS 6, I am unable to pull up the list of Purchased apps under the Apps/Updates. I suspect I am too low on RAM to load the entire list of purchased apps. Any solution?
Hi Urs
I searched a lot and maybe found a part of the reason for this high data traffic.
I'm synchronizing my contacts, calendar & reminder with iCloud & my mail with Hotmail.
When push is activated for Hotmail, that doesn't matter, but when push is activated for iCloud, the amount of data nearly explodes. So I turned iCloud to manual and let Hotmail on push.
Contacts, calendar & reminder are synchronizing when opened (I think this is enough).
Also I do a backup on iCloud and than I deactivate the function (I do not delete the last backup, I only deactivate the option for automatic backup).
It seems, that the backup functionality also generates traffic when not on WiFi - especially at night!!
The battery life has been getting better, when I deactivated the support for automatic time zone changes (location services were always on).
The battery finaly got MUCH BETTER since the update on iOS 5.0.1.
My traffic is actually higher than on iOS 4 but not so high as before I deactivated some services...
I hope this info is a little help for you!!
Let me know if this works for you, ok?
Best regards,
Wolfgang -
Unable to purchase anything since update o 9.02
Since updating to 9.02 I'm unable to purchase anything from the UK iTunes store. It gets stuck on "Accessing iTunes Store..." and eventually times out with an error message.
I have not yet upgraded, get the same error, and I am on 9.0.1.8..
also got the same agreement deal on my iPhone.. It cruised past it, but it's the only way I seem to be able to purchase from the iTunes store as of now..

So it's not just 9.0.2 with problems, but potentially all iTunes users, or at least version 9 users. -

Unable to update error tied to Unable to purchase error?
I have tried changing the DNS servers to both Google (8.8.8.8, 8.8.4.4) and openDns (208.67.222.222, 208.67.220.220) and have had no luck updating to 5.1. I have tried multiple Wi-Fi connections. I haven't tried updating through itunes becase I havent had a chance to plus I just moved and don't have internet hooked up at my new house yet. I really don't want to have to wipe my iphone 4 just to download 5.1. I am wondering if this "unable to check for update error is tied in any way to the "Unable to purchase _______ and ___ other apps at this time error." I am interesed to know if anybody who is having trouble updating to 5.1 also gets the unable to purchase ___ error.
I have this problem too, I keep getting pop ups saying that my iPad 2 is unable to purchase certain things I haven't even purchased!
Plus I have been trying to download the 5.1 update since it was released last Wednesday with no luck, I keep getting the same unable to check for updates error message...
It's frustrating seeing as both my iPads and iPhone 4s and apple TV can't be updated... I don't want to have to alter any dns settings. Why should I have too!!!
Anyway how would changing the dns settings help an apple TV ?
It's about time apple let us know what's wrong! -
My Ipad 2 will not let me make purchases since Ios7 update however my iPhone 5 will.
Since updating both my gadgets with the ios7 software I have had no issues until recently...
Just before the update I noticed that my iPhone did not have wireless sync on so I plugged it in to correct this... A message popped up that required me to deactivate some of my computers which was no problems... (My fault from the past) until I went to log into the iTunes Store...
It wouldn't let me... Anyway. I figured apple were having problems and left it.
Two days ago (after update on my ipad) I went to instal an app and it wouldn't let me... It said I couldn't had this time. Try again later. Ignored it gave up!
Last night tried again... Same thing... Starting to get annoyed now... Plugged it in today and same thing has come up.. Need to log into iTunes to deactivate previous accounts however it's still not letting me!!!
I have spoken to apple and officially stumped them! Is as on the phone to them for an hour and a half, but I kind of figured it might be something simple and if I write it down some, one maybe able to help me.
So to sum it up I CANT MAKE PURCHASES ON MY IPAD... I CAN ON MY IPHONE.... ITUNES WONT LOG IN ON MY COMPUTER TO CORRECT THE PROBLEM. HOWEVER UPDATES ON MY IPAD PULL DOWN....
I am completely baffled.
Any help would be appreciated... I really want to watch the Americas cup final!!!Totally false. It will still function as it has. You may not be able to download newer more resource demanding Apps , but anything you currently have on it will still run on it.
Just because you can't update anymore, doesn't mean the iPad will cease to function.
It will run as it has without the updates but again your App choices will likely become more and more limited. but that's it. You should still be able to view websites, check your email etc... just fine. -
Since updating to ios7, I have found that music shows up on my phone that I do not own, either through cd or through iTunes Store. I was wondering if this was normal after the update or something else. It coincides with the glitch with cloud music, but is much more troublesome. Not only is it music I do not want, my fear is potentially getting charged or someone else being charged for music we did not buy
Yes I understand this. I have done this, even deleted songs which I did not want on there. My concern is songs have showed up which I did not purchase. (And currently my music library is designated as "show all" off). I would like to know how this is happening and is there a way to prevent it from happening

I recently did the iOS 7.0.2 update, now I'm unable to purchase apps. "App could not be purchased at this time. Please try again later. ". I have tried a few of the suggestions and nothing has worked. Reset, change auto lock time on main screen, change language setting. Now what???
This sorted it for me:
Backup your iPhone to iCloud (I believe backing up to iTunes will work too). Now go to "Settings --> General --> Reset --> Erase All Content and Settings" to completely restore your iPhone to factory settings. Assuming you've backed up to iCloud, you'll be asked when setting up your iPhone if you want to restore from an iCloud backup. Choose that option and once your iPhone has restored itself from your backup, this annoying problem will finally be gone! (was for me anyway).
To restore from an iTunes backup, connect your iPhone to your computer, load iTunes. Click the File menu and select Devices > Restore from Back up. -
Since updating my iPad mini I have been unable to send or receive messages. My iPad only wants to recognize contacts with apple products but still won't deliver a message to them. What can I do to solve this problem?
Try restarting the device first..
Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button for a few seconds until the red "slide to power off" slider appears, then swipe the slider to power off.
Then press and hold the Sleep/Wake button until the Apple logo appears.
If that doesn't help, try here > iOS: Troubleshooting Messages
