Unable to run Active Sync -- Geting OutofMemoryError
Dear All
Urgent help needed....
Can anyone of you please help us as we are facing issues with Active Sync.
We are getting the below mentioned error and are unable to process any records.
2011-04-28T10:18:43.905+0530: result from submit (blank means no errors):
2011-04-28T10:19:36.348+0530: Error processing updates
2011-04-28T10:19:36.358+0530: Java heap space
2011-04-28T10:19:36.359+0530: java.lang.OutOfMemoryError: Java heap space
Please suggest us what to changes to be made so as to procced ahead and get rid of the same.
What about to increase your java heap space? How much is it set? You can do it from your application server (the Xmx jvm parameter).
Anyway, tuning the jvm is not a simple thing and it change from one enviroment to another.

Hi,
I'm trying to run Active Sync for Remedy system via RemedyResourceAdapter.
The issue that I'm facing is when I run the active sync, it establishes the connection with the Remedy database but doesn't bring me the necessary attributes that I have specified in "Account attribute section"

I'm trying to pull all the ticket above CHG000000244575 with Summary & Description attribute.

Any idea/help is greatly appreciated.True...
but the problem turned out to be that i needed to make an addition to server.properties to allow the JVM permission to write in the particular directory.
We had been developing using tomcat, which didn't seem to care quite as much as to where files were being written to.

Error while running SAP HR activ sync
Hi Geeks,
Got this issue while I run my SAP Active sync.
"Caused by: com.sap.mw.idoc.IDoc$Exception: (8) IDOC_ERROR_INITIALIZATION: Could not initialize SAP Java Connector IDoc Class Library. Found SAP Java Connector version 2.1.6 but version 2.1.8 or a higher patch level is required."
I have SAPJco 2.1.6 in my class path and the Sap Idoc is of 2.1.8 but I am not able to find the earlier version of sap idoc jars in serverice.sap.com.
Let me know ur thoughts on the same.
Regards
JeyanthHi Choon,
First of all do you have the installation guide on you, if not please get one from the marketplace. The one I have suggests the following at the end of installation -
Since we are installing IDES, I am told just click retry once more (you will get the error again), and
then click OK to end the installation. This is valid for SAP R/3 4.7 ext.1.
See if this removes the error you are getting, please awards points if you succeed, and let me know.
Thanks,
kind regards,

Ensure 1 Active Sync process runs against the change log before all others?
He folks,
We have a lot of LDAP active sync thread. We have a primary on that correlates to an individuals account. Then we have several that represent affiliations at our organization. The affiliations are represented in LDAP as subordinates of the main persons entry. These sets of data were set up as different resource adapters because the they are different object types in LDAP.
Now we are running into a problem where the active sync threads for subordinates are running before the thread for the main entry. What this means, is that an affiliation thread might run, see a new person was added and ignore it (since that isn't it's resource) but find the affiliation subordinate entry and want to process it. However, the thread can't find an associated account in IDM yet, so no processing takes place on that change, ever..
If the main account active sync thread had already run, it would see the main entry, and then make a correisponding IDM entry. If the IDM entry has been made, and the affiliation resource active sync adapter runs, it will then find the IDM entry and update that.
So.. We are experience problems when the affiliation processes a new account before the main account sync process.
Can we ensure somehow that the main account active sync process always runs first? These are all LDAP resources. If we could ensure the main account resource / sync happens before any other affiliation resource, then we would never ignore data, and would not have anyproblems.
Does anyone know of a good clean way to do this?
Thanks!I had a similar issue, and solved it by using post process workflows and starting and stopping resource adapters manually. This will allow you to start the first resource, and any others you want can be started/stopped manually via the workflow. You can effectively "chain" resource adapters to run in any order you'd like.
On the first resource that you want to run before anything else, this will run as a post-process workflow:
<Activity id='0' name='stopFirstResource'>
<Action id='0' name='stop'>
<expression>
<block name='stop'>
<invoke name='stopActiveSyncOnResource' class='com.waveset.session.SessionUtil'>
<ref>displaySession</ref>
<s>%%FIRSTRESOURCENAME%%</s>
</invoke>
</block>
</expression>
</Action>
<Transition to='Process Errors'>
<ref>WF_ACTION_ERROR</ref>
</Transition>
<Transition to='startSecondResource'/>
</Activity>
<Activity id='1' name='startSecondResource'>
<Action id='0' name='start'>
<expression>
<invoke name='startActiveSyncOnResource' class='com.waveset.session.SessionUtil'>
<ref>displaySession</ref>
<s>%%SECONDRESOURCENAME%%</s>
</invoke>
</expression>
</Action>
<Transition to='Process Errors'>
<ref>WF_ACTION_ERROR</ref>
</Transition>
<Transition to='end'/>
</Activity>
This will stop the first one (after it has run) and start the second one.
Then, on the post process workflow of the second resource:
<Activity id='1' name='stopSecondResource'>
<Action id='0' name='stop'>
<expression>
<block name='start'>
<invoke name='stopActiveSyncOnResource' class='com.waveset.session.SessionUtil'>
<ref>displaySession</ref>
<s>%%SECONDRESOURCENAME%%</s>
</invoke>
</block>
</expression>
</Action>
<Transition to='Process Errors'>
<ref>WF_ACTION_ERROR</ref>
</Transition>
<Transition to='end'/>
</Activity>This stops the second one. -

SharathHi,
I am using integrated web logic server. Do I have to create JDBC connection in Integrated Weblogic Server? If yes, then how come it was working earlier and stopped working suddenly.
Just to try out, I have created JDBC with a name soademo (As mentioned in bc4j.xml) in Integrated Weblogic Server but didn't worked.
I will send you sample java class for your reference.
public class TestClient {
public static void main(String[] args) {
String amDef = "com.moj.model.AM.AppModule";
String config = "AppModuleLocal";
ApplicationModule am =
Configuration.createRootApplicationModule(amDef, config);
ViewObject emplist = am.findViewObject("EmployeesView1");
emplist.setWhereClause("first_name = :p_firstname");
emplist.defineNamedWhereClauseParam("p_firstname", null, null);
emplist.setNamedWhereClauseParam("p_firstname", "Smith");
emplist.executeQuery();
while (emplist.hasNext()) {
Row emp = emplist.next();
System.out.println ("emp " + emp.getAttribute("Empno"));
System.out.println("First Name " + emp.getAttribute("FirstName"));
System.out.println("Last Name " + emp.getAttribute("LastName"));
Configuration.releaseRootApplicationModule(am, true);
Appreciate if you can provide me in more detail as I have started working on very recently.

Active Sync running when a change occurs on the target resource
Does anyone have any insight on if I can configure an Active Sync to run when a target resource attribute changes? In the docs I only see manual running and scheduled running.
Thanks
Edited by: robspierre19 on Jan 25, 2008 12:35 PMHello.
Keep in mind that Sun IdM connects to resources via agent-less, over-the-wires connection. As such, there's no agent or software running on the managed system to "alert" IdM that a native change was made (e.g. a target resource attribute change).
ActiveSync is in most cases a form of polling -- it periodically checks for native changes. How it checks depends on the resource. In some cases, it checks change logs (LDAP), in some cases it checks a last-modified flag (e.g. DB table), in some cases it looks for an HRMD_A message (SAP HR), etc.
The Manual and Scheduled (Automatic) is how you want the ActiveSync process to start -- e.g. automatically start when IdM starts (Application Server is booted) or start only when you manually select it to start. The polling frequency is configurable for every ActiveSync adapter in the ActiveSync Wizard (Resources tab).
Does that make more sense? -
FRM-41214: Unable to run Report geting as error
I am converting 6i reports to 11g for that i am compiling 6i report in 10g reports and copy in 11g server
in that report is calling from form i have writen query
like
DECLARE
paramlistname VARCHAR2(30) := 'PLIST1';
plid PARAMLIST;
cnt number;
report_id report_object;
BEGIN
plid := GET_PARAMETER_LIST(paramlistname);
IF NOT ID_NULL(plid) THEN
DESTROY_PARAMETER_LIST(paramlistname);
END IF;
plid := CREATE_PARAMETER_LIST(paramlistname);
ADD_PARAMETER(plid, 'paramform', TEXT_PARAMETER, 'NO');
ADD_PARAMETER(plid, 'p_division_code' , TEXT_PARAMETER, :control_007.division_code);
ADD_PARAMETER(plid, 'p_depot_code' , TEXT_PARAMETER, :control_007.depot_code);
ADD_PARAMETER(plid, 'P_VALIDITY_DATE' , TEXT_PARAMETER, to_char(:control_007.valid_date,'DD/MM/YYYY'));
ADD_PARAMETER(plid, 'MAXIMIZE', TEXT_PARAMETER, 'YES');
report_id := find_report_object('Report_NTP_Pending_QtyP');
web_reportn(report_id,plid);
DESTROY_PARAMETER_LIST(plid);
go_block('Control_007');
end;
while runging a report from form i am getting error FRM-41214 Unable to run Report
So Please Help Me how to solve this problem in 11gweb_reportn(report_id,plid);This is where you actually call the report, so the error is in that procedure. What is the code of this procedure?
Furthermore, I don't see any reference to system parameters, like destype, desname, report server name etc. Are they set in web_reportn? -

When i view the source of application in browser, i found below code:
out of which alt="Due to browser or system restrictions, this active component (applet) cannot be installed, executed or displayed"
is important.
Let me know your inputs.

Flat File Active Sync doesn't work for account creation without unique id
Hi,
I'm trying to set up a FlatFileActiveSync for creation and update of accounts in IDM 7.0. I've followed the below steps for this purpose :-
1) Create a correlation rule (confirmation rule not reqd in my case).
2) Create a proxy admin and assign him a empty form. Also give him control over Top organisation.
3) Create a Flat-File Resource Adapter.
4) Create ActiveSync input form using the (Active Sync) wizard.
5) Start Active Sync...
My feed file contains only 3 fields firstname, lastname, email Id.
My correlation rule has the logic of matching up with IDM accounts(Lighthouse accountId) by taking first letter of firstname and concat with lastname from the data coming from feed file.
Now everything works fine for account updates i.e. if I change somebody's email Id who already exists in IDM I can actually see the changed email Id in Configurator's console.
But if I put in a record that doesn't exist, and which I expect to be created, it gives me an error.
Although, if I introduce a unique identifier in my feed file and link it with Lighthouse.accountId the account creation works fine.
Is this a limitation or I'm not doing something right ?
Exception I saw in resource log with log level 4 :
2007-04-30T10:02:12.291-0400: Error Processing Line: {lastname=Pogu, firstname=Gogu, [email protected]}
com.waveset.adapter.iapi.IAPIException: There was a conflict with the record [{lastname=Pogu, firstname=Gogu, [email protected]}]
and no resolution process has been specified on the adapter.
It is recommended that you define the process for handling unmatched accounts

</concat>
</block>
<s>false</s>
</cond>
<MemberObjectGroups>
<ObjectRef type='ObjectGroup' id='#ID#Top' name='Top'/>
</MemberObjectGroups>
</Rule>
Although this is not specified in Active Sync input form but in the correlation rule attribute of Active Sync config (using the wizard). Do I need to specify it there using the Field function.
Also, I figured out today that I needed to restart IDM instance after changing the value of "Create Unmatched Accounts" flag and now the error is as below :-

Quarter hour appointments and Active Sync
Hello, I want to say sorry if this is a duplicate post but I was unable to find a resolution. I have a user using the current $99 iPhone 3g connected via Active sync to the company Exchange 2003 server. He sent me some screen shots of his Outlook and iPhone calendars. The Outlook calendar has some quarter hour appointments that appear to show up on the half hours on the iPhone calendar. (A 10:45 appointment appears at 11 for example.) I am wondering if this is the normal behavior for quarter hour appointments and if it is not is there a way to correct this issue? I have already had him remove his calendar from the activesync setting and add it back.
Thanks for any help!Not sure why you're seeing that. I'm also using an iPhone 3G and ActiveSync with an Exchange 2003 server. Events that I create in Outlook or on the iPhone which start at :45 are displayed in the Day view as starting 3/4 of the way through the hour. If the event is only 15 minutes in duration, it starts 'on time' but appears longer (e.g. an 11:45-noon event looks like it runs from 11:45 - 12:15), to accommodate the text height.

Problems in using Msync with IPAQ 3760 and Active SYnc 3.5
Hi,
Environment :-
IPAQ 3760
Windows NT workstation
Active Sync 3.5
I am using Active Sync 3.5 which does not need RAS
configuration on the machine.
I am unable to run msync.exe. It does not give any errors
messages.
The 9i lite documentation talks about RAS settings.
If anyone has faced similar prob coudl you please let me know
the solution.
regards,
SonalYou do not need to make a RAS connection with Pocket PC 2002,
because now ActiveSync itself makes an IP connection, and
Oracle9i Lite just needs an IP connection for synchronization no
matter how you establish it. Hi, I also experience the same problem. Using PocketPC 2002 I have a pasthru connection. Ik kan browse on the Internet with Internet Explorer, so the connections works.
mSync just seems to do nothing. When I press the Sync button, nothing happens (not even a progress bar).
Any idea?
Thanks,

Cannot Set Exchange Active Sync Email Account ot Default
OK, I am having a problem setting the Default Email Account as Exchange Active Sync. I am seeing this in iPhone and IPad both running 6.1.2. The Active Sync Mail account is installed on both devices and works fine. The problem is I am unable for some reason to change the Default Email Account from iCloud to the Exchange Active Sync Account installed. When I select the option to change Default Email Account, iCloud is there and checked however the Active Sync Account does not even show up as a selectable option here. Please help! Thanks

Exchange Active Sync issue - Xiaomi Redmi 4G Note or 4.4.4 Kitkat
Dear All,
We are in technical support for exchange active sync. We are getting number of calls from Redmi 4g note device users, as they are unable to configure or change their password in particular device model(Redmi
4g note, android version 4.4.4 Kitkat).
The same password is working well and good in Outlook, Webmail and other android/IOS devices.
Steps taken as of now:
User formatted the handset, flash the device and Hard/Factory reset,
Disabled the active sync service & enable again for users from exchange server,
Removed accounts from webmail.
We download some apps from play store and tried but no luck.
While configure exchange active sync in Particular model users are getting error as "User name and password incorrect".
There is no issue from exchange server and user account. as same is working fine in other devices. This issue happening for more that 10 users and receiving more calls day by day.
I request anybody to take it forward and provide the solution/suggestion, if it is a known bug for particular device model. Please confirm back.
We are waiting for someone valuable reply. Many thanks in advance.
