Unable to scale X axis Dynamically

Hi,
We have created graphs and passed parameters dynamically to change the Scale of Y-Axis. We could not do the same with the X-Axis. Is there a limitaion with the type of graphs and the dynamic scaling of x-axis when it comes to Oracle Reports Builder?

Hi Serish,
There is no difference in how Oracle9i Reports treats the dynamic scaling of X-axis verus Y-axis. For example, for the dynamic scaling of Y-axis, if you used somethinng like (inside the Graph.xml)
<Y1Axis axisMinAutoScaled="false" axisMinValue="&<P_MY_MIN_YAXIS_VALUE>"
axisMaxAutoScaled="false" axisMaxValue="&<P_MY_MAX_YAXIS_VALUE>"/>
Just introduce another tag X1Axis with all the remaining attributes the same, and you can get the parameters for X-axis scaling dynamically.

Unable to scale wallpaper in iOS7

Not to be fussy, but it's Caches, at least on this MBP.
the problem with com.apple.desktop.plist is that it seems to be kept in RAM and/or Cache and is recreated on logouts. I'm pretty sure that that plist is the culprit.
If that doesn't work I would log out of that account log into a different admin account and delete the plist and the cache folder from there.
I am sure it's a corrupted file and clearing Cache is an excellent idea.

One way to do this is to force the system to perform the function "periodic"
Open a terminal and enter:
sudo periodic daily weekly monthly
you might need to enter your password.
If anyone is curious, enter
man periodic
and read the manual.

SSRS 2008 - create the interval values in y-axis dynamically

Hi All -
I have a report which has number values in y-axis and date in x-axis. This is a clustered column chart, the problem is for a particular date if one of my value is very huge say (in Thousands, Ex: 10000) and another is small (Ex: 120). In this case my small
value bar is hardly visible.
Hence in this case, I was looking around for an option like below, the y-axis interval needs to change dynamically based on value (i.e) until a threshold value the interval should be fixed say incremented by 120, once it reaches a threshold (Ex: 360) it
should be auto (i.e) if the max value for that date is 3800 after 360 the interval needs to be in thousands or more based on the need.
So based on the above explanation i would want the values like below for my y-axis -> 120, 240, 360, 2000, 4000.
Please let me know in if this is possible

Based on my understanding, you are creating a 3-D Clustered column. And you want to make the Y-axis values distribute uniformly, right?
In Reporting Services, there is a scale break feature which can display two distinct ranges in the same chart area, then to make Y-axis values distribute uniformly. However, this feature is not supported in 3-D Clustered columns.

In your scenario, if you want to make Y-axis values distribute uniformly, you can add a secondary vertical axis to display those too larger values. Please refer to steps below:

Motion tracking scale (z axis) ?

I have been usingmotion tracking, and it works very well when tracking position along the X and Y axis, but the "scale" tracking feature, that would effect the z axis, just does random nonsense, no matter the tracking point I choose. Any tips?

Motion paths will track in Z-space.
Your project needs to be 3D (add a camera). Start animating your path (x,y) if necessary. I recommend using the Record button (set your initial playhead position). Change the camera view to "Perspective" or Left, Right, Top, Bottom, whatever gives you the best view of the Z-axis (I prefer perspective). Use the 3D position control (blue arrow) to move the object forward or backward in space. Use the Red and Green arrows for X/Y control.

Unable to change X-axis values in playback

I need help with an issue in SignalExpress which I am new to
and struggling a bit.
In PlayBack mode DisplayView I can’t get the X-Axis to
retain the values I set. I can change them but as soon as I click ‘play’ the
max value alters to what appears to be the buffer length of the recorded data,
the on screen, AutoScale is off. The play-position indicator shows that I have
more data than one buffer length and exporting the log file to Excel confirms
that all the data (greater than one buffer in length) is there.

Thanks for replying and giving suggestions.
I don't have Labview but could get evaluation version if you think this might help. I would be even less familiar with this than SignalExpress so the effort might not be worth it.
I have tried pre and post saving to set the x-axis, the results are the same. It looks like the values I set in the x-axis are overwritten by values within or associtaed with the recorded/saved file and I feel I must be missing something simple. I tried the help function and as far as I'm aware I'm following the information necessary.
What I do is set signal express to playback mode and in dataview having dragged my voltage logged file to the graph I right click and select 'properties' - 'scales'. for the 'time' option I uncheck autoscale andalter the max value to 300 ( I have 300 sec of recorded data) and click 'ok'. My data view graph changes x-axis to 300 max and a small ammount of data is compressed at the left hand side of the graph. I then click play at the top and the x-axis changes to 10 sec. The bar at the top shows 300s and scrolls though with what apperas to be just evry 10s of data (block) being displayed on the main graph.
If I then check 'properites' for the x-axis as above, auto sclae is still unchecked and max value reads 9.9s. I can change this and the graph x-axis changes until the next block gets placed on the screen where the x-axis reverts to 10s. After I make this change my data of unkown block gets compressed to the first 10s at the left, it fills the graph once updtae occurs but only the current (I assune) block.
if I look at 'playback options' I see nice little images of my data over 300s with start time 0 stop time 300 relative to log start time, block size 1000, overlap 0%, ignore last itteration if partial is checked and play entire intervals only is not checked.
I set the record side up for sampling 100Hz with block size 1000.
Hope this information helps you understand what is going on and that you can tell me what I've missed.

Chart preview (swf file) doesn't scale Y axis correctly, shows 0 to 6 only!

This is my first post on this forum.
I am trying to generate an interactive chart using the most simple functionality of using 2 comboboxes and 1 line chart.
The selected values from the 2 comboboxes are supposed to go in to 2 cells on the spreadsheet. The spreadsheet cells that are used to create the chart are then updated. The updated chart can be seen on the canvas with proper values along the Y (Values) axis. However, when I click on the "Preview" button - as it generates the swf file, it shows the comboboxes with the correct labels and it permits to change my selection therein but the chart is always blank because the scale of the Y axis is from 0 through to 6 - and no values for any combination of the 2 comboboxes fall within 0 and 6.
What do I need to do to address this Y axis scaling problem? The current setting for scaling is Auto with 'Linear' entered for "Fixed label size".
Please help - I am desperate to know what is happening here! The Excel formula works, the chart on the canvas is updated but not on the preview. I am using Xcelcius Engage 2008 application.

I doubt if the problem relates to the size of the chart. I believe that the problem could be related to the installation not being complete (since the key that we currently have is a temporary key only provided by SAP) or something of the sort - the reason I say that is because whilst the chart did not get updated with the combobox component, it did get updated with the filter component ((I used it on 3 tab sheets with varying number of variables in the filter ranging from 2 to 3). With the the filter component (with 2 or even 3 variables) it all worked ok. So I resigned myself to using the filter component instead of the combobox.
Whilst I have got you, could you advise me of the advantage that a component offers over the other - in this case, the filter over the combobox or the other way around?
One other thing, if I may ask you - is it possible to drive Xcelsius using Excel VBA. The reason I want to do this is to be able to do the following from with Excel VBA:-
1. Open Xcelsius
2. Import a spreadsheet in to Xcelsius
3. Export the dashboard in the desired format
I can do everything else that I would need to do to update the input spreadsheet from within Excel VBA with the exception of the above 3 tasks.
If you or anyone can help me realize the above, that would be a monumental assitance. The same shall be highly valued.

Unable to retrieve results using dynamic query

I have created a custom table and have created a custom bol to integrate it with web ui. I have redefined the dynamic query result method of genil layer. I find the data into LT_RESULT but when I invoke the root list method the LR_OBJECT does not contain the values.

FCP X unable to scale any still image beyond 400%-why???

Just wondering if anyone else has run into this problem.
If I try to scale any image in the Inspector window, FCP X doesn't let me scale beyond 400%.
Why does FCP X place this limit? And is there any way it can be bypassed?

Click and hold on the numeric scale value. You will see blue arrows which allow you to exceed 400% eitherr by clicking on the arrow or moving the mouse while you hold the mouse button down. You can also click on the value and type in a new value.

Unable to scale a pic to "full size" when choosing a home & lock screen.

Why can't I scale a picture when I'm given the opportunity to "move and scale" a picture when making it my home and lock screens? If I pinch it to include the whole picture, it snaps back to a zoomed in version and over half of it is cropped out. Is this a problem with iOS7? Will it be resolved soon? Thanks.

This is apparently a bug in iOS 7. Take a look at the posts to the right under "More Like This". Several users have come up with creative workarounds for this. Hopefully it will be fixed soon in an upcoming release!

Unable to change column width dynamically in cross tab report.

We have developed cross tab layout using template builder v.10.1.3.2.1 in EBS.I am trying to increase column width dynamically and the width is coming xml.
i looked at document and found one command <?split-column-width:name?> for the same.i tried but it is not increasing the size of one column.
Output

Row text2 40 50 60
I want to inrease the size of column for row text1 and row text2.
Need help in this.

Unable to convert disk to dynamic

Hi
I am trying to convert a 1 TB new LUN to dynamic disk on a VM (Vmware); it is giving me an error “Logical
Disk Manager
the operation did not complete. Check the system event log for more information on the error.”
Tried below steps:-
Removed the disk, added it back (RDM).
Unmapped a LUN and presented a new LUN (RDM),
Added a new disk (.vmdk) and tried that to convert,
Uninstalled the drivers and reinstalled them
Replaced VDS.
Reinstalled SP 2
Please help me on this issue.

Well if you have converted the disk in another machine there is no more problems right?:)
What OS is the server running?
If you run the diskpart utility as administrator does anything work better?
list disk
select disk <from above, 0>
convert dynamic

Unable to scale down mask

hi.
i created a mask in my footage by using pencil tool
now i want to scale it down (NOT to shrink/expand masked area)
tried this: selected footage layer and went to Transform - Scale, and even if i scale down to -500%, nothing happens. Then went to Mask - Mask Expansion, but this is not the feature i need. I need to scale down the object which i've masked out
also tried to add adjustment layer and linked my mask layer to it and then tried to scale down Adjustment layer - no effect, simply nothing happens
using AE6 trial version on win7

tried to follow the steps provided there: "To transform any number of vertices, select the vertices that you want to transform and choose Layer > Mask And Shape Path > Free Transform Points."
Free Transform Points is greyed out when i try to select it. Made sure that footage layer is selected before i went to Layer > Mask And Shape Path >
cant understand what is going on here. have 3 layers in the following order: Adjustment layer, Shape layer and and the footage layer where some object is masked out. Mode is set to Normal on all three.
i can change the form of the mask, increase/decrease feathering, etc, but i need to scale down the object which is within mask's boundaries. Maybe its not technicaly possible or smth?

Unable to display x-axis labels

In the Query Designer, characteristics ZNAME is specified as the Rows and ZDAYS is specified as the Columns. Example data:
Name - Alfred, John, Michael, Peter
Days - 10, 20, 0, 5
However in the Analyzer, the ZNAME are represented as running numbers (1, 2, 3, 4) instead of names (Alfred, John, Michael, Peter) in x-axis of the chart. Go to Source data and under the Series tab, I notice that the Category (X) axis labels is not captured. How can i show the x-axis labels by default without making any changes in the Analyzer ?

Hi,
Is this required at WAD ? If you want labels in WAD , you must select the checkbox show labels by edit chart . Its not possible at query designer stage.

HP Photosmart Plus B210a unable to scale prints?

Photosmart Plus AIO, product no CN216B, model no B210a, running under Win 7 x64.
Cumulatively I have spent a ridiculous number of hours searching for a way to scale printouts, usually web pages I'm trying to fit on a single sheet of paper.
Tantalisingly, I found a US HP retailer site that listed specs for this printer including the ability to scale prints between 12-1200%. However, I've yet to discover where/how this can be achieved. Is it really impossible to simply 'fit to page'?
Please, PLEASE, will one of you experts put me out of my misery once and for all on this question? Thanks guys.

For this printer itself, it does not have the feature to scale prints. However, there are third party applications (such as Adobe) that can provide that option through their software. But is not included in this printer's drivers.
