Unable to schedule a maintenance order

HI
I created a maiantenance order via IP10. In IW32, when I click on the schdeuling icon, I get the message 'scheduling carried out..', but when I look at the operation > dates, the early & latest start dates are in the past are in the past (09/12/2011 & 14:55:00) and early start and finsh dates are 09/14/2011 (17:00:00). why is it not scheduling? Where are my basic & scheduled dates along with other information like sched type, rel date, etc?
In customising I set the scheduling type as backward, the contorl key is PM05 and has checked for everything and in the resource master data - in the capacity tab and other formula is SAP008 and schedling tab, other formula is SAP004 and capacity category is set for fintie sched, LTP, can be used in serveral operations.
In the task list, I maitained duration as 11 hrs and claculation key as 'manually', the work field is greyed out (why?), number = 1 etc.
I'm in ECC 6.0.
What else should I check? Pl. let me know.

I'm using a package of cylce length 24 H and the start date I specified in IP10 is current date (that probably explains the start date in the past - where do I change the scheduling type from 'backward' to 'forward'?). In the operation (only one operation), I've maintained a duration of 11 hours. The 'work' fiedl is greyed out - is that an issue? If yes, what should I do to open it up? The key for caluclation is set to 'maintain manually'. If I change it to 'calaculate duration' in the order, the error msg is 'Enter units when calculating work or duration' and if change it to calculate work, then the error is 'Calculation of labor made in service package --> calculation key replaced'.
Is there anything else I should check?

  • Plant Maintenance Schedule Calls not creating Maintenance Order

    Hi,
    I have created a maintenance plan that is schduled on a weekly basis. This worked fine initially but now calls are not being generated and therefore no orders are also being generated. The process I used is:
    1. Create Equipment
    2. Create Task List
    3. Create Maintenance Item
    4. Create Maintenance Plan
    5. Schedule Maintenance Plan
    Can you help?
    Also can you tell me which program you use to create orders for an entire maintenance planning plant, I know IP10 can be used for maintenance plans? For example you schedule your maintenance plans but I assume a periodic job must run to actually create the orders

    Hi Gary,
    I had an issue with calls not being generated and was browsing similar issues when I came across yours. I note that you also asked how you could create orders for a whole maintenance planning plant.
    This can be done by using the sort field on a maintenance plan. You need to define sort fields (config) for the maintenance plans for each of the plants required and then insert them on each plan. You can then use the sort field as a selection when scheduling.

  • Consider preventive maintenance schedule into PP order capacity planning

    Hi PP experts,
    My client's requirement is that when a preventive maintenance order is created in PM module for a particular work center (used in production) on a given date, NO production order (which is processed on that work center) should get released or confirmed. In other words, the capacity should be blocked at all for the subject work center.
    Could you please guide how to make this effective?
    We are using discrete manufacturing with capacity planning. At the time of PP order release, system shows capacity situation so as to decide whether go-ahead even with overloaded capacity.

    First, you should assign the PP work center in the location tab of the PM equipment which refers this workcenter.
    Secondly you should enter the sytem condition in the task list of the equipment.
    During preventive schedule  the work center  will be reserved by PM orders for maintenance and this can be seen from capacity planning from PP side.

    Dear All,
    I am aware of the sub contracting indicator to be cliked in the maintenance order in order for the system to generate a Sub Contracting PO through Maintenance Order. However I am unable to see this indicator in maintenance order fields.
    Is there anything that I am missing in customising settings or is this related to activation of any business function sets.
    I am working in ECC 6.0 EhP 5.0.
    Need your help / inputs so as to resolve my issue.

    However this is something I am aware of. The settings suggested by you will automatically generate a PR with Account Assignemnt Category as 'Order' (F) & Item Category as 'Service' (D) combination.
    I am looking for the auto generation of PR through the maintenance order with Account Assignemnt Category as 'Order' (F) & Item Category as 'Sub Contracting' (L) combination.

    In maintenance order , depending on equipment , the planning plant gets defaulted . If Equipment is installed in another FL whose planning plant is different , the order's planning plant doesn't change (Greyed) . Is there anyway to change planning plant in orders

    We have maitenance and planning plant same .Equipment was in maintenance plant XYZ and planning plant XYZ earlier . Now the same equipment is in maintainance plant ABC and planning plant ABC . In order , I am able to change maintenance plant  to ABC , but unable to change the planning plant to ABC .
    If I do not change planning plant and change only maintenence plant , what are the effects in cost reporting ? Since ultimately cost is settled to equipment cost center (which is now changed to ABC cost center) , I feel there will not be any effect . Old planning plant may only affect search right ? ....Please advise ...

    In IP30,
    Go to menu path Program -> Execute in background
    Make the necessary printer settings in the Background Print Parameters popup screen and t press the green tick (or hit ENTER)
    Do the following in the Start Time screen: (1)Click the Date/Time button and enter the start date and start time for the job. (2)
    Click the Period Values button (bottom of the screen) and click the Weekly setting then save to exit popup. (3) Click the save button in the Start Time screen
    Go to TCode SM37 and check that the system has created a job called RISTRA20. Also check the frequency by double-clicking the job name.

    I am aware of the option to get pop-up box while creating maintenance order if the equipment is under, but this wll not meet my requirement.

    Hi,
    you can go for general preventive maintenance plan creation. whatever your requirement is, you can create relevent task list, assign your strategy of maintenance for that asset after its warranty is over and so on up to a particular period, say 365 days.
    Then create strategy plan (IP42) and schedule it in such a way that it generate its first call object by the end of warranty and keep on generating as per your requiremnts. schedule it (IP 10), and you will get call objects (notification or order) as per your requirements.
    It is an standard SAP practice, hopw it will work for you, without any enhancements.

  • Pur Req via Plant maintenance order

    Hi,
    When Non stock item is assigned to a Plant Maintenance order, A purchase requisition is created automatically for that item.
    During the creation of purchase requision it is required to enter goods recipient and unloading point( few fields are made mandatory)
    Issue: At this stage we are giving planne delivery time and GR processing time.
    But when we check the Purchase req for that item, Only GR processing time is considered not Planned delivery time.
    Please provide your suggestion, why planned delivery time is not considered for scheduling of purchase req.

    Hi!,
    I think you should check the operation control key you are using. Whether that key allows 1. Externally processed opearation 2. allows the scheduling of externally processed operation. If both are true then it will take the standard values defined for that opearation for scheduling. if 2nd is not true then it will schedule as per planned delivery time.
    I think this will solve your problem.

  • Option 'Maintenance Order' missing in 'Allowed Object Types' tab in IMG of User status Profiles

    I have created a User Profile using T-Code OIBS.
    Now I want to assign that User Profile to Maintenance Order. But in the 'Allowed Object Types' tab, the option "Maintenance Order" is missing due to which I am unable to assign it to Maintenance Order.
    Could anyone tell how to add the option "Maintenance Order" in 'Object Types'.

    Thanks for your help.
    I just found that in t-code BS13, the object categories ORI and ORH exist but 'No Status Profile' check is marked against them. That is the reason why the system is not showing the 'Maintenance Order' as an option in Allowed Object Types.

  • Changing basic finish date in Preventive maintenance orders

    Hi Experts,
    My requirement is to block PP work centre when maintenance schedule the equipment for preventive maintenance. I am making system condition as zero in generated preventive maintenance order but basic finish date is not changing in the order automatically. Can anybody please explain how to bring this? Finally my requirement is system should change basic finish date and time as time given in operation of task list.

    I have done all setting and tested but there is no change.
    My client requirement is like this - whenever maintenance plans are scheduled, for the scheduled dates, production capacity should not be considered by production. We could do this for breakdown orders but not happening for PM orders unless we change the finish date.
    The issue is to get the finish date automatically when scheduling maint.plans with respect to values given in operations. Please suggest how to get the  basic finish dates automatically.

    I need to define back ground job for Maintenance Order Settlement through KO8G transaction code.
    Here are the requirements
    1. The job should run on weekly basis automatically.
    2. The settlement period and posting period should be taken care by the job dynamically. i.e. if the job runs in July, the job should pick up Settlement period and posting period as 7 automatically.
    Kindly let me know the steps to define the back ground job as per above requirement.

    To run the KO8G  each week, the a RECURRING job has to be created.  At my job, Basis/Ops department would create and schedule the job.
    To have the posting periods, dates etc dynamically determined at the time the job runs:
    Create the variant and save.
    In 5.0, KO8G does not save a variant, therefore, go to SE38 and create a variant for program: RKO7KO8G
    When you go to the ATTRIBUTES screen, to add a name and description, you will see a list of all the fields that are part of the selection criteria. 
    For an example, I frequently use the Posting Date. To the right of the screen is a field called Selection Variable, click on the drop box and select D - Dynamic Date Calculation.
    Go to field NAme of variable, click on drop box and select the variable you want.
    Each field has its own list of selection variable and name of variable depending on how it works in the progra.
    If you look at Posting period you will see:
         T: Table Variable from TVARVC
         B: User-defined variables
    I do not know about User defined variables, but for TVARC there is thread that leads to a "how to" blog

  • How to Create New Maintenance Order using IP30 against the deleted one

    Dear Sir,
    We have an equipment having Monthly Maintenance Schedule . Using IP30 , we had generated Maintenance Order for next 3 months (i.e Jan / Feb / March ) .  Due to some change in the Task List , We decided to Delete these earlier generated Maintenance Orders and then generate the fresh Orders usiing IP30 . To set Delete Indicator , we used Tcode IP02 and these Orders were marked with Delete Indicator .
    Subsequently using IP30 , we tried  to generate fresh Maintenance Orders ( for month Jan / Feb / March ) for this Maintenace Plan.  But no fresh Orders are getting generated .  On Analysing it further , we find that for this Maintenance Plan ( Tcode IP02) under the tab <Maintenance plan Schedule Call > , against the Jan / feb / March months  Sceduling Type/Status is appearing as "Schedule Completed" .
    Kindly guide us as how can we generate the fresh Orders .

    I would suggest two option for this query:
    Option1: You can use the existing (deletion flaged) orders, by deleting all the operation  in the created PM order and in order, goto Extras - select the Task list which you have done changes. In this option your exsisting plan is not distrubed.
    Option2: If any way you want new PM orders, then Goto schedule of the plan & restart, system will ask wheather to delet/ skip the existing schedule.
    Hope this options will help you to take decision.
