Unable to see empty reporting role folders

Hi all,
I am facing an issue where the Reporting Roles containing the empty folders aren't visible in Bex..
I want to create a query and assign it to the newly created folder. But the folder is empty as of now, and hence not visible when i try to save the query.
Any information would be appreciated.

Hi there,
Create a new role in PFCG transaction which you want to input your query.
Assign that role to your user.
Go to the query designer and edit your query.
Choose Publish->To Role and you'll see all the available roles assigned to your user (including the new one). You can publish that query into that new role (and also create new folders inside the list of the available roles).

We are unable to run any detail reports in SPM UI. When we try to run the query "0ASA_MP04/0ASA_MP04_Q0001" in RSRT it goes in debug mode and gives the following error:
[Microsoft][SQL Server Native Client 10.0][SQL Server]Arithmetic overflow error converting expression to data type int. row 1, col -1
Error reading the data of InfoProvider 0ASA_DS09
Error while reading data; navigation is possible

Hi Neel,
Detail reports in SPM is based on query "0ASA_MP04/0ASA_MP04_Q0001" like you have already identified. But in SPM this query is passed multiple filters from the summary reports before it is executed. This query has be filter before its execution because it contains very detail line item level information like multiple Document Item numbers, which depending on how much data you have could take very long time to execute and possibly will fail with memory related issue at most customers.
In order to check to see if the query is functioning you can modify the query (in Query designer) and apply some filters on multiple characteristics to ensure you will receive very little data. This way during execution of this query in RSRT you will be able to narrow down the true issue.
OR
You can click 'Generate Report' button for this query and that should also tell you if there is something wrong with the query.
By the looks of the error message you are receiving "Error reading the data of InfoProvider 0ASA_DS09", either there is some mapping missing in the detail MP or there is some other issue. This is too little information to narrow down the cause of the issue. Hopefully the explanation above will help you get to the true cause of the issue.

CUP Issue: Unable to see the expired roles

Hi All,
I am experiencing a problem which is explained below:
A ticket was raised in CUP for deleting role(s) in backend system which are expired. When I accessed this ticket to do the needful, I am surprised to see that the Expired roles are not visible to me!
However, I checked with another user and that user can successfully view thos Expired roles for that user mentioned in the request.
Can anybody give me a tip of how to analyze and solve this?
NOTE: My user id in CUP is having all the authorizations of administrator. I also have access to SU01 tcode in the backend system.

i copied user who can view the expired roles in cUP to a new user via UME and checked. Still the same problem. BAsically these user are maintened in LDAP and when I copy the correct existing user to a new user, automatically it is getting created in UME. I am quit suspicious about this.
As far error in AE_UME, yes I have uploaded the latest copy of this after SP upgrade. I have not seen any error while uploading it. If it has any errors, then the user who can view expired roles should also have the same problem.

Unable to see the report values in 2010 excel

Hi Experts,
We have got an issue here,we can see all the values of the workbook when we open it with excel 2007 or 2008.But when we use 2010 excel and open the workbook we can see "#NAME?"in the place of numerics....it would be great if you can suggest regarding this issue.

Unable to see crystal reports in Infoview

I created a crystal report by using sap R/3 tables.Now I want to publish it in BO Enterprise,so that i can view my report inb crystal reports.I tried two options 1.save as report in enterprise 2. using workbench i published in Enterprise.
When I tried to open it Infoview ,the report taking the r/3 credentials and also parameter values after that it is showing "Page cannot be displayed".so please anyone help me to get out of this one...

"page cannot be displayed" is generic error message. In IE, go to Tools - Internet Options - Advanced tab, then uncheck "Show friendly HTTP error messages". Restart IE, then try the same step you generated the error. What is the error message now?

Unable to see my report in the LOV

Hello,
I have a v basic question. I have changed the report "Invoice Print Selected Invoices" to display an XML output and after I submit the report and it completes, I try to run the XML Report Publisher concurrent program. The parameter wwindow does not show the request that ran before. I have changed the Concurrent:Report Access level to User , still it does not show the report in the LOV, It shows some other Check printing reports, not the Invoice one, What other set ups do I need to do ? Pl help

Please confirm the following:
1. Change output of concurrent program to XML
2. Setup data definition with the code exactly the same as the concurrent program short name
3. Setup template with the code exactly the same as the concurrent program short name
4. Run the report with the same user and same responsibility as you are attempting to run XML Report Publisher from.

Unable to see Publisher roles in obiee 11g

Hi All,
I have installed OBIEE 11g (11.6). In Admin tool for the user weblogic I am unable to see the publisher roles XMLP_SCHEDULER, XMLP_ADMIN, XMLP_DEVELOPER etc.. But I am able to access publisher.
Only able to see BI Administrator, BI Author, BI Consumer BI System.
In OBIEE 10g, I am able to see all the roles for Administrator user once I installed.

Thanks.Have you installed BI Publisher along with OBIEE ? If yes, then the roles should have been created in the enterprise manager by default. Since you dont see them, I believe you will have to manually create all the application policies and then application roles and assocaite them. You either find them in the documnetation on what to create etc or you can try installing .5 version of OBIEE to replicate the same in .6.

Unable to view FF reports in the front-end of FF 5.2 tool

After installing the FF tool on Netweaver, I am unable to see the reports from the back-end (R/3) system. The R/3 system has the FF 5.2 RTA installed and a user Id defined to connect to front-end of FF 5.2.
I configured the FF 5.2 connector, but still am unable to view reports from the front-end.
any suggestions would be helpful.

I was able to resolve the issue by maintaining the gateway in the SAP adapter and running the transaction /VIRSA/ZRTCNFG on the abap side

Unable to see report

I had one strange issue.Willbe greatful for some inputs.
User is using one report.He sees report in .NET application which fetches data from BW.The report is based on one BW query.
In BW query,we are using one characteristic SALES_ORG which has hierarchy SALES_HIER_2000 activated on it.User belongs to node 5000 in this hierarchy.We have a hierarchy node variable on this characteristic in Global filter area.This variable has a default value of 100 which is higher level node in SALES_HIER_2000 hierarchy.so when ever query is run,the variable is input with this top level node.But I think our user roles are built in a way,that users can see only their hierarchy nodes data.In our users case,he can see only 5000 hierarchy node data to which he belongs.
Then the hierarchy is changed to SALES_HIER_3000.My user now belongs to hierarchy node 8000 in this new hierarchy.So this new node 8000 is included in his role so he can continue seeing reports.Just to make a point here,this 8000 node also comes under higher level node 100 in new hierarchy as in old hierarchy.But the problem is,he is unable to see reports.
I noticed that in our query we are still using same hierarchy node variable.Do I need to create one new hierarchy node variable as we are using new hierarchy eventhough both old and new hierarchies are on same characteristic SALES_ORG.
Also,I noticed that in this old variable which we are still using,we have default value 100 from old hierarchy.Do I need to change this default value eventhough in new hierarchy also,100 is the higher node to which new user's node 8000 belongs to?..........
what can be the reason that my user is unable to see reports?Please advise.

Perhaps I was not clear in my original help message. When the report is run from within report builder, there is no footer in the report. However, when the same is run from the application, one footer is printed. How to change this footer is the problem.

Unable to see options in reporting services with admin account

I have sysadmin access to the sql server but i am unable to access the reports which i am using earlier. recently i have updated the server sp4 on current sql sever 2005.
how to re-enable the access to the reporting server. please help me.

According to your description, you are using windows domain account which has full access to report manager, but you couldn’t see any folders in the page.
Based on my research, this is because of User Access Control. Windows Vista, Windows 7, Windows 8, Windows Server 2008 and Windows Server 2008 R2 operating systems limit the overuse of elevated permissions by removing administrator permissions when accessing
applications. Because the noted operating systems limit permissions, members of the local Administrators group run most applications as if they are using the Standard User account.
If you are executing the report locally, we can Run the Internet Explorer (IE) as Administrator. if the folders still are no shown, we can add the report manager to Trusted sites zone to solve the issue.

It is showing crash report with Relaunch option, when i click on Relaunch option finder is working properly but i am unable to see Top bar(Apple logo, Date and Wifi etc... bar). Even in safari address bar, TextEdit not accepting any text means when type something not showing up and also i am unable operate any thing from keyboard. Plz help me…..

One thing that you can try is installing a 'fresh' version of OS X Lion. Boot into your Recovery partition (holding down the command and R keys whilst booting) and elect to install OS X from the Recovery screen. You need not erase your hard drive and you should not lose any of your data.
Oh, and just as a precaution, I would use Disk Utility, once you're in Recovery mode, to verify your hard drive before trying to install the OS again.

Unable to see fields of BI Publisher report in MS Office

Hi,
We have a report in BIPublisher(10g). We are designing a template for a report. So from MSOffice, while we are accessing the report, we are unable to see the fields. We were able to see only RowSet. The report is working or able to see in BIPublisher.
This happens very often to us. We will be able to see the fields for some of the reports and unable to see for some reports. I can say we are able to see all the reports in BIPublisher.
Initially we are working in the sytem with 1GB RAM and thought that MSOffice is unable to load the report. Now we are working from a system with 2GB RAM, still same problem.
We did: Open MSWord-->Login to BIPublisher--> Open the folder-->Select the report.then--Insert field.
In the popup window opened, we were able to see only RowSet no fields.
We observed this is happening to the reports which have parameters to be passed
where could be the problem...help us.

Have a look at getXMLdata and downloadXMLdata of schedule service , using these you can get the xml data produced by the report job
getDocumentData and downloadDocumentData will return the document data which is basically a translation of xml data in your output format

Unable to see the csv option while scheduling the report

I'm using BO XI 3.1. While i'm trying to make a schedule of a report, i am unable to see the csv export option. Is there a way to enable in the csv option?

Scheduling the reports in CSV formate is possible in BO XIr3.1.
I would suggest you to contact to your BO Admin to check weather you have proper rights or not, in CMC scheduling part.

SAP Authorization: unable to see change logs for role assignments

When trying to find the changes update to certain role . We are unable to see that changes/ hope the changes are note gettng updated.
we recive the message " NO CHAGE DOCUMENT FOUND TO MATCH SPECIFIED CRITERIA"
MESSAGE NO .CD887.

10.9 unable to see share folders on 10.6.8

I have a mac mini running 10.6.8 being accessed via 10.9 iMac and I am unable to see certain shared folders.
I was checking on the Mac Mini an some folders have an extra space at the end of the filename. I remove the extra space, and now, I am able to see it on 10.9 iMac. I also notice that filename that contains "/" have the same issue.
I check on another computer running 10.8.5 and I can see all the folders that are list on the mac mini running 10.6.8.
Is this a common issue with 10.9 that it can't read "/" and an extra space at the end of a filename? Or is anybody else experiencing this issue?

I have got a similar problem.
I use a NTFS-partition on OS X 10.9 and bootcamp.
I have had some folders on my shared NTFS harddisk with a "/" in the folders name. Example:"share/download".
Now all this folders disappeared and I can't see them anymore in OS. If I boot Windows via bootcamp, I can see the folders. The "/" is replaced with a ":", but the file location cannot be located and It is not possible to rename nor open nor anything.
For now all the data seems to be lost on OS and untouchable on windows...
I want my folders back!!
