Unable to send or reply to emails - getting Red X

we have 40-50 BES accounts created and have had minimal issues activating accounts. this particular clients account is unable to send or reply to emails. We have hard reset device and recreated his account in our BES eviroment twice and still the same thing. We even tried both the AT&T 8310 and the verizon 8330 thinking it may be the services data plan.
Any help is appreciated.
Thanks

  • Using talktalk and unable to send or reply to emails any solution?

Having just bought iPad and set up all passwords etc now. Finding unable to send or reply to emails no problem with receiving, just when I send, the message comes back that server does not recognise my address. I am with talktalk, don't know if the problem is with them. Any solutions that can be tried?

Try this first - Reset the iPad by holding down on the Sleep and Home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider - let go of the buttons. (This is equivalent to rebooting your computer.)
Or this - Delete the account in Mail and then set it up again. Settings->Mail, Contacts, Calendars -> Accounts   Tap on the Account, then on the red button that says Remove Account.

  • Unable to send or reply to emails

I am continually getting an error message when I attempt to reply to or send emails. 'An error occurred while sending mail. The mail server responded: sorry, that domain isn't in my list of allowed rcpthosts (#5.7.1). Please check the message recipient xxxxxxxx and try again'. After this message, Thunderbird attempts to connect to my broadband provider but nothing happens. I have had a variety of error messages prior to this and I am getting more than annoyed. My broadband provider email platform has the same settings and works fine, so does the email on my tablet and my phone. My broadband provider support say it is a Thunderbird issue. Can someone advise please? Thank you.

Thanks for the reply. Not really sure if this is right but I've checked the POP mail server authentication settings and it set to 'password transmitted insecurely', but then there are four other options - Encryted password, Kerberos/GSSAPI, NTLM and TLS cert. I do have a password. Is that what you mean?

  • Just upgraded and cannot send or reply to email

I just bought a MacBook Pro (15"/216gHz/2gig ram) and transfered everything via firewire from my old PowerBook G4. When I attempt to reply or forward email, I click on the button (or use the menu) and absolutely nothing happens. I can click compose and get a new email screen, but when I click to send nothing happens. I receive email without troubles from all my accounts. I have no problem sending and replying to email with my old G4 (and the other computers on my Airport network - so it's not the network) and all the preference settings for my accounts are identical. Any ideas or assistance?

In the other thread where you posted about this problem, I suggested you to reset Launch Services. Have you tried that or not?
I’ll repeat it here in case someone else having the same problem comes accross this thread. The following article describes how to manually reset Launch Services — the notes at the bottom of the article also provide information about the side effects of deleting each of the files involved:
    Resetting Launch Services
If you prefer using a cache cleaning utility instead of following the manual procedure described in the previous article, take a look at this other article for general troubleshooting and cache-cleaning procedures. Actually, you should also verify/repair the startup disk (not just permissions), as described there:
Resolving Disk, Permission, and Cache Corruption
The most appropriate utility for this particular problem probably is Tiger Cache Cleaner, but you may also want to consider other utilities, such as OnyX, or Cache Out X, which are free. Whatever utility you choose, be sure to read this first:
Side effects of System cache cleaning
As an example, this is how you should proceed with OnyX:
    1. Quit all applications.
    2. Launch OnyX and enter your administrator password.
    3. Go to Maintenance > Reset and check LaunchServices database.
    4. Un-check any other pre-checked options.
    5. Click the Execute button.
    6. Restart the computer.

  • I can send or reply to emails from home, but not when traveling

I can send emails and reply to emails when I'm here at home in California.  Just got back from Florida where I could neither send or reply to emails.  The same thing was happening on both my and my wifes 3gs phones.  Ideas?

I had the same problem starting yesterday.  I fixed it by turning off wifi when not at home.  Now I can send and reply to e-mail.
I have found that if I leave the wifi on, the phone will keep trying to connect to the mail servers and drain the battery making the battery life problems MUCH worse.  Not sure what will happen now that it has to use the cell network for all e-mails.

  • My IBM Lotus iNotes 8.5.3 FP2 WebMail application no longer works to send or reply to emails I need to get Firefox 15?

As described, since I upgraded to Firefox 16.0.1 yesterday, when I access my work WebMail application of IBM Lotus iNotes 8.5.3 FP2, it will not send emails, reply to emails, or attach files to emails. I saw some similar issues posted for earlier versions, but our tech support group will not make changes and say Firefox is not a supported browser environment. So, I need to get an earlier version of Firefox until the interaction problem is fixed.

This is due to a change in Firefox removing the ability to used signed script. The technote below from IBM describes a workaround and a fix is due out in the next fixpack.

  • Unable to send or reply

I am a new MAC user, I have set up the mail with the correct settings and am able to receive mail. However, if I try to send or reply I get an error message reading sender address was rejected by server. I also get an error that the outgoing server cannot be found to check the settings. This is the smtp setting correct? If anyone can help I would appreciate it.

  • Iphone won't send or reply to emails

iphone (iOS 7.0.4) can receive, but can't send email (either new or a reply)
Message: "Unable to send ... Copy placed in outbox ... sender address .... rejected by server".
No problem on iPad (iOS 7.0.4).
Have tried switching off iPhone, deleted email accounts, reinstalled etc.
    Anyone else had this?
[This corrects my first ever post (whcih had a mistake in) earlier]

Double-check your outgoing server settings. Find out from your email provider what might be causing that error.

  • "Unable to send mail" using Verizon email account

No matter what I try, my Incredible will not send an email using my Verizon email account. I receive emails but cannot send. I've verified the account settings numerous times and the verifications always work. But I still get the "Unable to send mail" message. Initially I thought it was the port but I've tried both 25 and 587. Neither work. I know I've sent messages before but it's been a while. Anyone have any ideas?

I tried SSL with 25 and 587 (Verizon recommendation). Still no go.
BTW, there isn't any way to save the Mail size limit and Download options is there. Every time I go thru this I have to go back and set these up again.
    Thanks again for your help.

  • How do I select a sender when replying/forwarding email on z10?

    Current setup:
I have a Gmail and two other accounts. All mail from two other accounts is forwarded to Gmail.
I set up all three accounts on Z10.
When composing a new email, I can select any of the three accounts as a sender.
When replying to / forwarding a message, the sender is always set as Gmail, regardless of which address the message was sent to.
    Question:
Is there any way to select a sender for reply/forwarded message on Z10 from the list of email accounts?
Please do not offer to switch off forwarding; I am not going to check three emails on other computers I use to work with emails.
    Solved!
    Go to Solution.

Currently, you can't change the sender when replying or forwarding. It will use whatever account the mail came from on the device.

  • TS3276 Unable to send or reply in mail

MacBook Air mail won't send or reply to any messages, although it receives them just fine. All my names and passwords are correct, but I keep getting the 'can't connect to account' message. Can anyone help?

    Hello-
I have the same problem since upgrading to Mountain Lion from Snow Leopard last weekend.
    This seems to be a common problem in 10.8 and a glitch in Mail 6.6 according to my ISP;
under advanced in the SMPT settings, Use of SSL cannot be unchecked causing the mail not to send.
I Googled the problem and found that checking Use Custom Port and setting it to 25 solved the problem for others. It worked for me too but when I close Mail, it resets the custom port to 587 and the mail will not send until I manually change the custom port back to 25. Mail 6.6 does't like port 587.
It's my hope Apple will resolve this issue in a future update but until, I am using Thunderbird mail (free from Mozilla). It works fine and uses port 587 btw.
    Other thoughts welcomed!
    Best,
    John
