Unable to view Base maps

Hi
I am not able to view any base maps present in the user_sdo_maps.This problem comes even when I am trying to run any mapviewer demo application.It shows error like following:
java.lang.Exception: MapViewer cannot process your map request. Check MapViewer log for details. at oracle.lbs.mapclient.MapViewer.processImgURL(MapViewer.java:5346) at oracle.lbs.mapclient.MapViewer.run(MapViewer.java:4908) at demo.map._jspService(_map.java:185) [SRC:/demo/map.jsp:176].......
I am very new to oracle spatial.Can anybody help me to solve this problem.

Hi Suprabuddha,
post the map request that you are sending to MapViewer (it should be on the log message). In order to get more detail on the log, you can edit the MapViewer configuration file (mapViewerConfig.xml under WEB-INF/conf directory of MapViewer's installation) and set the log_level parameter to "finest".

You probably have restricted access to the file. Check if the drive is ntfs. If the os user is in administrator group, you can give permissions in file properties.

C540 unable to view maps

We are UK based, and have recently bought a C540 touchscreen computer. It came with Windows 8, and very soon we upgraded to 8.1.
We had a local computer company set it all up for us.
We are unable to view maps on a couple of websites (Open Streetmap and Tomtom Live Traffic). Other maps are fine (e.g. Google Maps). These are websites which we want to be able to use, and can't understand what the problem is.
It's the same when using IE11, Firefox and Chrome. On two other computers in our home, there is no problem - one is a laptop with Windows 7, the other an old computer with XP.
Any advice would be appreciated please.

Now that you have updated the Ovi Maps application, you need to update the map data as well.
Using File manager, delete the Cities folder and qf file from the memory card. Then run Maps once before using Ovi Suite to download the required map data.

When I select the pdf file from Infoview, I receive the message 'Do you want to save this file' which only allows me to save the document to a location on my computer.
Other users can view the file in Infoview, so it probably relates to a setting on my computer.

I've had a little look on Adobe's knowledge base; try this to check whether the issue is related with opening PDF in your browser in general:
"Determine if the web browser can open the PDF file from your local hard drive rather than from the web:
In the web browser, choose File > Open (or Open File).
Choose All Files from the Files Of Type pop-up menu (Windows)
Click Browse
Select the PDF file you saved in step 1 of task 5, and then click Open to open the PDF file. If Acrobat or Adobe Reader displays the file, but won't display it on the web, the web server has a problem serving the PDF file. Contact the webmaster of the site from which you downloaded the PDF file."

MapViewer base map image is not loading on OBIEE 11.1.1.6.4

Hi Experts ,
We are facing issue in OBIEE 11.1.1.6.4 and OBIEE 11.1.1.6.5. The background maps are not loading. The measure is getting plotted the as per postal code but the background map is not coming up.
The Issue is only with External maps. It is working in Google maps.
In Mapviewer > Management > Manage Map Tile Layers we can see GOOGLE_MAP as well as our required map tile layer.
When we select GOOGLE_MAP and click on view map / manage tiles button we can see the background map.
But the same doesnt happen for our background map.
Our Operating System is Windows 2008 (We have tried in Linux as well).

In case you have not found the reason for your problem. You mentioned that the problem is only with External maps, but also say that it works with Google maps (which is external). I'm assuming you had an internal map that was not working, right? First suggestion is to check MapViewer log for errors after you try to view the tile layer. You may have missing metadata, or broken definitions (base map or tile layer) pointing to data that do not exist.

Unable to view picture

First, try a simple reboot:
With the BlackBerry device powered ON, remove the battery a few seconds and then reinsert the battery to reboot.
Try all those again, and if the issues persist, please post back here in this thread.

Hope some one can help, have made several posting on this subject but generated no reply? Am running on version 2.1.0.87: o/s XP: nokia 5800 :   when I sync with my phone all records transfer but I am unable to view my pictures or album art on ovi suite, just see grey default image . As with all things of this nature, no software vendor can forever remain compatible with every historical PC platform...XPSP2 has indeed been dropped from compatibility with the current version of the RIM Desktop Software. Your choices are:
Update to XPSP3 (which, if I recall correctly, is completely free)
Fall back to a version of the Desktop Software that is compatible with XPSP2...you can find older versions here:

Sorry, but I no longer recall exactly which versions support which XP levels...you will have to do some experimenting I suspect.

Navigation>after creating a oppurtunity..
1)Clicking on the customer tab to search the customer,once the details appears we can able see oppurtunity tab on left side,when we click on the oppurtunity tab it should display all
the oppurtunities created on the customer.But at present it is not showing any oppurtunities..please hlp me...

Your issue has been escalated to a Verizon agent. Before the agent can begin assisting you, they will need to collect further information from you. Please go to your profile page for the forum and look at the top of the middle column where you will find an area titled "My Support Cases". You can reach your profile page by clicking on your name beside your post, or at the top left of this page underneath the title of the board.
Under "My Support Cases" you will find a link to the private board where you and the agent may exchange information. The title of your post is the link. This should be checked on a frequent basis, as the agent may be waiting for information from you before they can proceed with any actions. To ensure you know when they have responded to you, at the top of your support case there is a drop down menu for support case options. Open that and choose "subscribe". Unable to view alias on alternate Essbase hierarchy - Selecting POV

Hi All
I am just wondering if anyone is experiencing the following issue.
I am using version 11.1.2.1 and creating a financial report that connects to an Essbase database.
The issue is that I am unable to view the alias when trying to run the financial report via Workspace if I am looking a shared member (from the alternate hierarchy).
I can see the alias if refer to the base member I am unable view it when trying to select a member from the POV selection screen in Workspace.
I know I am able to do this in 11.1.1.3 but after upgrading to 11.1.2.1, I have lost the functionality.
If anyone can shed any light it would be most helpful. I have logged a case with Oracle support.

If you take the same retrieve and put it into the add-in, does it work?
I know, I know, a SmartView forum, so maybe you don't have the add-in. Could you write a report script/MDX query that duplicates the layout?

The retrieve will then take over two minutes then return the following error:Makes me think that you've got some kind of horrific (hugely sparse and/or very complex) formula on that member and that's what's causing the failure.
You could, of course, just go into the outline and look at that member and see what's at that member.

Unable to View SMS, Error- Uncaught exception: Index 87 = 87

Hi
Pls help - I am unable to view my SMS (Both Sent and Received). Not getting any notification also. If i compose SMS after sending it disappears. And I am getting error -Uncaught exception: Index 87 >= 87 everytime i switch on the device. Not able to find the SMS in Messages>View Folder>SMS Inbox also. I have tried by wiping all applications, device has enough memory- 127MB. Even Checked Firewall... Pls help...

There are no specific Knowledge Base regarding the error Uncaught exception : index 87 >= 87 or similar, As you had already wiped or deleted all applications from your device but still error appearing so to rule out any software issue you can reload your Device OS ,but first do your device backup using BlackBerry Desktop Software,For further instruction please refer to this Knowledge Base :
KB11320 : How to perform a clean reload of the BlackBerry Device software using BlackBerry desktop software for windows.
After Reload restore your backup.I hope it will solve your issue.

Z10 unable to view contacts

Have a new Z10 and unable to view contacts, this is the case for migrated contacts or manually entered. It appears that the contacts are on the Z10, since they show up as conflicts when using Blackberry Link sync. Unfortunately the contacts don't appear on the device under any view setting including "All".
Any suggestions?

Other than "ALL", what other tabs do you have in your Contacts app?
Also, do this, open your Contacts app.
Swipe down from the top > Settings.
In the "Show in Contact List" turn OFF all contact sources... turn off each one.
Tap the BACK button at bottom left and can you see ANY contacts? Any that you seemed to be missing before?

Unable to View COI Functions

Hi
I am unable to view COI functions in UCWB. Usually it should be available after Function IU eliminations and Reconciliations in process view. Please let me know, if some settings needs to be change to make it available.
The system is SEM 6.0.

For information of folks like me.
When I click on consolidation of investment settings, it was asking for good will data stream.
then I went to Data Basis - > Data Streams to Generate Good Will data target and Info prov.
Then the system allowed my to check ..COI and now...COI functions are visible..
