Unanswered calls

I am about to go over the minutes in my plan (which we NEVER do) due to hundreds of unanswered calls. Because of job issues, we have been getting an unusual humber of phone calls from bill collectors, which we don't answer, and I have purposefully left my v-mail box full so that they cannot take minutes that way. But even the unanswered calls are using up all our minutes.
What can I do about this? If I leave my phone turned off will it still take minutes?

No, it's not voicemail useage at all. My inbox is full. The minutes are adding up every time they call, even though I don't answer it and most of the time I "ignore" it. Still, every time they call, it takes a minute from my plan. Are you on a pre-paid plan?  If you don't answer a call on a post-paid plan there are no minutes involved.   Someone leaving a voicmeail uses no minutes either.  And with my husband and I both getting the calls, it's draining the minutes pretty fast.
I'm not sure what's draining your minutes, but unanswered calls and people leaving voicemail messages are not the issue...unless you are on a prepaid, but even then I don't think a call uses minutes unless you answer it.  Are the calls being forwarded to another number?  That's the only way I can think of that it would use minutes....

  • Forwarding my unanswered calls to my mobile showing the E1 no on my mobile while i want to showing the caller mobile ID.

    hi guys,
if i have a coming call from mobile to my extension and i forwarding my unanswered calls to my mobile showing the E1 no on my mobile while i want to showing the caller mobile ID.
is the ""gateway Calling Party Selection* Originator"" configuration on cucm will solve it or no

    Hi,
Setting the Calling Party Selection to Originator will send the Original Calling party number to your provider. If your provider accepts any calling number, it is well and good.
you may also need to enable the other setting 'Redirecting Number Delivery Outbound' and Redirecting Party Transformation CSS to ensure the IP phone's number is sent to provider as a Redirecting number along with the original calling number and final called number.
Please collect 'debug isdn q931' for a test call to verify how these numbers are sent to provider.
    Thanks

  • My iphone is forwarding unanswered calls to my husband's iphone

my iphone is forwarding unanswered calls to my husband's iphone - verizon
how do I turn it off?

This is because on Settings/Facetime he has your email checked. At least that is what I would check first. Uncheck your email on his phone. If that doesn't work, try turning off iPhone Cellular Calls in the Facetime settings on both phones.

  • How do you get number of unanswered call?

I'm getting lots of spam phone calls.  How do I find the number of who called if I answer it.  Missed calls show but not unanswered calls.

Yeah, if you did the reset and the restore, it's likely a hardware issue. I would try plugging in headphones and see if you can hear clearly through those (i.e. the ones that came from the phone). If you can, its likely an issue with the speaker in the phone. You can also try the phone on speakerphone and without speakerphone to see if the noise happens both ways. This would help narrow down the cause.
Also, just as a quick thing to test you can go to Settings and toggle airplane mode on and off a few times. Turn Wifi and hotspot off as well as location services. You can also click on carrier and select your carrier to see if that makes any difference (with any possible connection issues/interference). If you go into Settings and then General, you can test turning off 3G to see if the noise goes away. You can try turning off Cellular data etc.. Just see if turning off any of these things makes the buzzing decrease. Theres also settings under General for 'Reset' and theres an option to reset network settings, which is also worth a try at this point.
If you have an Apple Store near you, they're amazing and they'll usually replace your phone on the spot (if you're within warranty).

  • Phone does not receive incoming calls

Please help.  Verizon can't seem to.  My phone does not receive 90% of its incoming calls or messages.  I have been told to delete all of my messages and call logs- no use.  I have tried removing the battery and resetting the phone.  I did make sure the phone was not in "do not disturb" mood- it is not.  People who call me say that it doesn't ring, just goes straight to voice mail even though the phone is on.  Very frustrating problem as my 6 year old phone before seemed to give me better service.  I feel like a child who is only allowed to make outgoing calls!  Please help.  All suggestions are welcome.  Thank you.

Check the Call Forwarding section. There are two options to select. One says Forward All Calls and the other says Forward Unanswered Calls. Make sure Forward All Calls is not selected. That would cause all calls to go to the number specified which may be your voicemail. To get there from the home screen click the Phone icon > push the option button (left of the trackball) > click options > click Call Forwarding.

  • Nokia E66 problem with calling

    HI!
It is less than two weeks from purchasing a brand new mobile phone - Nokia E66. Although it is a good device for a lot of things a modern men needs nowadays, it has some dificulties when it is ordered to call someone.
It works fine for a day or two, but after some time calling a persone  from the adress book is impossible. Even if a number is displayed as an "unanswered call" and "yes" button is pressed everything from the screen dissapears. I am able to call someone only if I type a number manualy. Pressing the "yes" key works fine only if a number is typed manualy. Restarting the mobile phone also "repairs" the problem for a while.
I have the neewest software installed on the phone. What to do next?

i would consider reinstalling latest firmware and then using the code #2 from your home screen to finish the process. back up all your data and contacts if you don't have them on the sim card, remove the memory card when you do this and default code is 12345.
    1. *#7780# - Restore factory settings - resets all the settings to the default ( you will not lose any data)
Make sure you back up your data as you will lose all of it when you perform option 2 or 3 on this list.
    2. *#7370# - Reformat your phone
    3. This you perform as a last resort. Nothing else is working. If the phone is dead proceed with reflash if not, turn off your phone, hold the following buttons while pressing the power button. (the default code is 12345)
re-flash - hold the following buttons *, 3 (number button) and talk/green key. turn on the phone and do not release those buttons until you see the Nokia boot up screen. once you feel the phone power up you can let go off the power button while still holding all three buttons
If these codes are not working the only thing for you to do is contact your Nokia Care Center/Service.

  • In Lync, if a call is not answered, and does not go to voice mail, is anything recorded in the Lync database ?

We are using Lync 2010. This question relates to the LCSCDR database.
In Lync, if a call is not answered, and does not go to voice mail, is anything recorded in the Lync database ? Are there any options to make Lync store a record of unanswered calls ?
Is there a way to tell from the LYnc database if a call was answered by a person or went to voice mail ?
I cannot see anything in the sessiondetails table to indicate any of the above.
    Any help much appreciated.

You shouldn't install Shockwave Player unless you know for a fact that you need it.

  • How can I evenly split incoming calls between 2 employees without a shared voicemail?

I need to load balance a low volume of calls between 2 DNs.
Incoming calls need to be evenly split between Employee1 and Employee2.  If they don’t answer the call, it needs to go to their personal voicemail, not a common voicemail account.
I think the Hunt pilot and line group is what I want, and I can utilize a circular distribution, but my only hurdle is voicemail.  I can get voicemail to go to a single account, but I need a method to simply split incoming calls to 2 employees, and (if no answer), drop into their personal voicemail.
I cannot figure this out, any suggestions?
I’m running CUCM 9.02, Unity Connection 9.02, and UCCX v10 (I mention UCCX as a tool I could leverage, Employee1 and Employee2 are not agents or part of a call center)
    Thanks for any assistance.

Queuing is not enabled.  I have no desire to queue the calls.
    In the Hunt Pilot settings:
When I chose “Do Not Forward Unanswered Calls”, calls drop after (what appears to be) the Line Group’s RNA Reversion Timeout  is met.  Never goes to voicemail.
The same when I select “Use Forward Settings of Line Group Member”.
If I select “Forward Unanswered Calls to” and manually select my VM pilot DN, missed calls finally go to Unity Connection, but not to any voicemail account.  If I add the Hunt Pilot number as an alternate extension to Employee1’s unity account, then all unanswered calls will drop into Employee1’s personal account, even the calls missed by Employee2.  This is not the desired solution.  I need Employee2 ‘s voicemail account to answer the calls missed by Employee2 as well as Employee1’s voicemail account to answer the calls missed by Employee1.
This brings me back to my original question.  Is there a way to get this to work with Hunt pilots and line groups, or should I be trying something else?  I just need calls to DN:111 split 50/50 between 2 DNs (DN for Employee1, and DN for Employee2), and have missed calls drop into the personal voicemail of the DN that missed the call.
I’m hoping someone who has gotten this to work can share their Hunt Pilot and Line Group settings.
    Thanks again.

  • Why does Skype charge for group video calls?

    Yes, this is a rant.
Yes, I hold little hope of receiving a meaningful response.
These being said, I hope that if more people point out the absurdity of charging for a feature currently freely available from a major competitor (one would hope Goggle shows as such on Skype's radar?), who knows, Somebody at Microsoft/Skype will slap they forehead at the sudden realization that they are losing market share that will be very hard (if not impossible) to regain.
I can already hear the arguments against making this (and other features, such as US/Canada calls) free going on incessantly about lost revenue and the next quarter results - I've used to work for a behemoth and that's how they die: never considering loss of customer good will, bad reputation and the resulting inevitable mass migration to competitor's solution in response to the company's obvious ineptitude. It never seems to dawn on them that losing some revenue now means living to fight another day.
Oh well, the battle between the giants was interesting to watch - until I've realized that one of the giants is blind.
    Oh, and BTW:

  • UCCE - Time between outbound calls

    Hi.
I am deploying an UCCE with Outbound Option but Agents wait in Reserved state more than 1 minute or 1 minute and a half between calls.
My customer says that with Nuxiba its time is 15 seconds.
My dialer is predictive and I have 20 E1s R2
Now, I read on documentation that ISDN is the only supported protocol but in Mexico ISDN does not exist with the provider (TELMEX).
Do you know what adjustments can work for my scenario?
    Regards.

    Hi
The total time it takes is due to the dialing list that you have. From the dialer log that you've provided, if I take a customer call that was successfully transferred to agent, it takes about 15s once the INVITE is sent, CPA is done and transferred to agent. For an example, with the sip call with id 8d0b434c-bf23d303-733f013d-75045a00 on port 226. INVITE was sent at 13:58:58:220, transferred to agent at 13:59:12:438 and BYE was sent at 13:59:12:524. For this call, the Agent was reserved on port 223 at 13:58:53:930. There were an unanswered call before the call was successfully transferred.
You need to tune the Campaign configuration about max lines per agent and abandon rate. Let me know if that helps.

  • How to limit incoming call on B-ACD CME?

I have configure B-ACD on CME 4 and its working. But I have a problem with incoming call from outside (PSTN). I set queue-len for 30 queue. But on busy hour, some call hear only ring tone. No greeting tone or busy tone. When I check call session, its only 10 or 15 session.

    param voice-mail 0
    param service-name queue
FYI: I have no voice mail. 'param voice-mail 0' is to send unanswered call to my operator.
    Regards,
    Iwan

    Hi Iwan,
    To restrict the number of calls to the application you need to configure only the appropriate number (10 in your example) of dial-peers to point to the AA Pilot number. Have a look;
Set Up Incoming Dial Peers for AA Pilot Numbers
In this task, you associate dial peers for incoming calls with the AA service that you want them to use.
Cisco Unified CME B-ACD is available for outside calls through voice ports and trunks, for which dial peers must be set up. When you set up a dial peer, you use the service command to associate it with the name of the Cisco Unified CME B-ACD AA service that you want callers to that dial peer to reach.
Note You must configure a dial peer for each incoming DID voice port.
To determine how many ports or trunks you must have for your Cisco Unified CME B-ACD service, consider the following:
Total number of phones across all ephone hunt groups
Total number of slots in the queues across all queues
Total number of PSTN ports feeding into the queues
The number of simultaneous calls that Cisco Unified CME B-ACD can handle is limited by the number of PSTN ports, but these ports may not always be in use. For example, you could have three queues with ten slots per queue, but configure only 10 ports instead of 30 because you do not expect the three queues to ever be full at one time.
    From this good doc;
    http://www.cisco.com/en/US/products/sw/voicesw/ps4625/products_configuration_guide_chapter09186a00805f2305.html#wp1003323
    Hope this helps!

  • Black screen. how can i retrieve missed calls?

untill i replace this phone with a black screen  if i miss a call i can't tell who it was.
any idea how i can retrieve the list of  'missed calls' ?

    Thanks for your suggestions budone!
    Hi mike b,
I know how important it is to identify missed calls. Unfortunately, when a call is not answered a connection is not made with our towers. Which means we would not have any record of an unanswered call.  I would definitely encourage you to implement of budone's suggestions until you are able to replace your phone. In the interim please let me know if you have any additional questions or concerns.

  • Routing of Non-Answered calls

    Greetings,
I have two campuses, one with extension 86XX and the other with 85XX. At this time, when a call is made to any extension with no voice mailbox assigned to it, the call is forwarded and answered by the Cisco Unity default greeting. Then the call is forwarded to the main line extension of 8500. I want to change this so that calls made to an 86XX extension with no mailbox get forwarded to the main line at 8600. Calls made to an 85XX extension get forwarded to 8500 main line.
I browsed the Direct and Forwarded Calls Rules within the Unity Administration, but could not determine that any of that was the correct location to make that change. I could be wrong.
    Could I get some advise.
    Unity 4.0(3), CCM 4.1(3)sr3c
    Thanks in advance

Thanks for your response. I added two rules that transfer to 8500 and another to 8600 based on the dialed number. Both tranfered to the defined "transfer to" extension, but it transfers all unanswered calls immediately without first going to the extension's voicemail, if exist. I have attempted several entries in the "Transfered from" field, but nothing matches.
I found that the Operator Call Handler was configured to forward all Unaddressed Messages to 8500.
The Operator Call Handler has an extension of 0 assigned to it, but not sure if it's a valid extension. Is there typically an extension assigned to the Operator?
How can I confiure the Operator to transfer calls to certain extensions based on the dialed number? Is there a way to tell how the calls are getting to the Operator.
    Thanks in advance.

  • Display Skype Number on Forwarded Calls

First, I have a Skype Number and I pay for a Skype Premium account. My Skype Account stays forwarded most of the time to another phone.
When someone calls my Skype Number and it forwards to phone, I would like my Skype Number to be displayed on my phone as the Caller ID. Is this possible?
    Thanks,
    Mark

technically it would be a violation of Skype terms and conditions for three users to use the same Skype account, but a call to a shared Skype Name will ring, more or less simulataneously, on all Skype clients where this Skype Name is signed in
but it IS possible to forward any unanswered call to as many as three other Skype Names at the same time -- ringing stops when one of those users answers the incoming call, and it does not matter if they are already in a call (essentially Skype has built-in Call Waiting capability)
these users can each have their own calling subscription, and it sounds like Unlimited Europe would be a likely candidate -- whether you administer these accounts under Skype Manager is up to you, and the main consideration will likely be whether you want to fund the subs centrally, or let each user expense the services separately

  • REPEAT ALERT desperately needed for missed phone calls

There are apparently many people out there like me who need a phone that functions like a pager - that is, repeatedly "beeping" or alerting you of an unanswered call or message (and maybe even selectively identifying WHICH incoming numbers would trigger a repeat alert).
I can't realistically keep visually checking the phone to see if an emergency message is there. HELP!
