Undelete COPA plan data

Hi Experts,
I have used KE1C to delete COPA plan data. It generate a negative posting to offset. Later, I found I have deleted it wrongly. Is there any way to undelete the data? Thanks.

Transaction KE1C is used to delete planning data.
But KE1C does not phyically delete entries made in table
CE2xxxx. The method used in this situation is the reversal method (the
line item is reversed out of the table by posting a negative line item).
If you want to delete these line items totally then it is necessary to
use the archiving transaction SARA. This will reduce the table
size.
You could also use KE13N to post the delta to edit/correct the entries.
For example for customer A and product B you have revenue of 1000 (but
it should be 900). In that case you can post a line item of -100 so
that the result is 900.
You can see which option is most suitable for you.

KE26 or KE21N is meant for correction of actual data in copa and
KE13N or KEPM is to load copa planning to copa
2) we have many planning tcode like kpf6, kp06, kp26.
what is the difference between them and ke13n/kepm?

KE13N is for mass upload of Plan data into COPA, COPA planning os for operating margin planning this is different from cost planning in controlling
KEPM is for input of planning data by the users in the system

Check material master data attributes for COPA planning?

Our users use COPA for sales forecast. Apparantly they don't know their data, because they often manage to plan sales on materials that are no longer "active", defined by "plant specific material status" in the MRP view of the material master.
They would like the system to issue a warning or forbid planning on a material if it has a certain status.
I don't know any way to do this other than getting someone to code a validation that runs whenever planned data is saved. Is there an easier way?

Actually, we are only using ke11 for planning input, so your suggestion won't work for us:-(
However, reading it and trying to write why it wouldn't work inspired me to come up with a possible solution myself using simple derivation:-)
Rule 1:
Table lookup:Source field MARC-MMSTA, target field USERTEMP1
Condition: PLIKZ=1
Rule 2:
Derivation rule: Source field USERTEMP1, target field USERTEMP2
Condition: PLIKZ=1
Attribute: "Issue error message if no value found"
Rule values: Only entries for the valid status (we only have vlaues 1-4, so I just made mapping 1-1, 2-2, 3-3 and left out 4, which should not be planned)
This solution doesn't require that the field is added to the CO-PA structure which is a nice bonus:-)
The request was for a warning, but maybe an error will be acceptable as well.

COPA Planning-Upload via KE13N

Hi Experts ,
I am doing COPA planning , but stuck with the excel upload via T code KE13N.
-I have defined the planning level on the basis of the sales organisation
-Planning packages on basis of years.
-Paramater set has also been defined. Integrated excel is checked here .
-While saving the planning layout i have defined the coloumns for Company code, distribution channel, division as Lead columns.
When i am trying to execute the parameter set, excel gets generated. i am unprotecting the excel and doing the changes in layout, Since i want Characteristics in rows and Values in their corresponding columns . i save that excel to my desktop in text format.
After this in KEPM i goto settings > fomatting > Save file description.
It gives me mesage " File description 02_CE1CA00__SAP_001TEST7 was saved"
After this i goto KE13N and trt to upload the text file i created before but i get the error message
"File description 02_CE1CA00__SAP_001TEST 7 does not exist".
Cld u pls advise where i am going wrong .

1.Entry should have template ___.____

2.Error occurred when generating data for the planning processor

COPA Planning to Profit Center Accounting

Hi,
We are using ECC 6.0.
When we do COPA planning and transfer the values of COPA to Profit Center, no data has been transfered to profit center plan items.
We have not activated Planning version of Classic Profit Center Accounting. Is it required for ECC 6.0 also to activate Classic Profit Center Accoutning?
We have Mapped requisit Value fields of COPA to GL Accounts.
Can any one guide us in this regard.

Hi,
In COPA the planning has been done to the value field of PRCTR which represents Profit center. Through report forms the actual and plan data for the value fields can be derived in COPA itself. I dont think that the planned values can be transferred to profit center accouting. On the other hand the actuals of profit center with the same value fields can be derived in COPA.

Balance Sheet and Income Statement for Plan data

Hi Everyone,
in our Company we maintain Plan in COPA for next year that is for 2009 , we have finished all the Planing activities and now (users asked me), they want to have Balance Sheet and Income Statement for the data we have in Plan version , I am not sure what they are Talking about, please help me ,
where can I set up that requirement ? and what is actually Balance Sheet and Income Statement for Plan data?

Version 999 Project System Plan Data Issue

I am using transaction CJ9B to copy the Project System related plan data i.e. plan data at the WBS element level from Version 10F, period 1 to 12 in year 2010 to version 999, period 1 to 12 in year 2010. The transaction CJ9B runs successfully in the update mode. But when report CJI4 is executed for version 999, period 1 to 12 in year 2010 then we do not find plan data in sync with version 10F.
I analysed this issue, had a meeting with end user and blanked out target version 999 using source version 9ZR for the year 2010. Then I again copied version 999 from version 10F. Still plan data in version 999 do not exist as they are in version 10F. I have checked the version 999 master data in transaction OKEV. Integrated Planning for SPL, COPA, cost center accounting and business process is active. COPY Allowed is also enabled. Version 999 is unlocked as well.
Hence I am not sure why the copy functionality is not working fine for version 999, period 1 to 12 in year 2010.
Can you please take a look and revert with your opinion so that this issue can be fixed ?

Hi,
If you want to copy all the plan date from 10F to 999, then in Txn CJ9B
select the indicator reset and overwrite in target version and execute in test mode.

COPA plan version

Currently, only version 0 is used for actuals and plan. Again this year we have used version 0 for cost center planning, profit center planning and also COPA planning. The user community would like to create a new version for COPA planning only to upload new data. Can I have a different plan version # for COPA only for this year? If so, how do I do that? Does it impact the other areas of planning?

How the COPA Plannign Framework(Tcode KEPM) works?
Where they pull out the figure or value fields? How the system will work?

You define planning levels , planning package, and planning method. This then allows you to enter your plan data into COPA. It can be used to calculate and distribute plan data too. The set up uses value fields and characteristics from COPA.

Plan data missing in KE30

Dear all,
I have problem.
I complete planning the copa planning via tcode KEPM, record type B. Posting has number document and exist as table CE2XXXX.
I continues creating COPA report make comparison between actual and plan. I create starting with form and assigned to report. However, report contained no data for plan column. I can identified the problem because version can not work in form. If i generate the report without form (basic type), plan report could be generated.
Please any advice, why plan data with form could be missing in report KE30.

Hi,
if the same plan data can be seen in "basic report" but not in a report based on a form, its definitely the form that causes the problem. Check the form, or ask somebody who is able to do so, maybe there is a mistake in the definition that you are not able to view...

COPA Planning Framework

Dear Experts,
       I am doing COPA Planning Framework.
First Step: Created Planning Level as Co.Code Sales Plan.
Second Step: Created Planning Package as Co.Code Sales Plan for 2010.
Now I am trying to create Planning method. But system automatically showing that Planning Level as Planning Method.
Why it is like that?
Then Should I need to create directly the Parameter Set?

A planning layout consists of a header area and the lead and data columns
Header Area
One or more rows make up the header area of a planning layout. These rows display the global selection criteria for all the plan data that is displayed, or to be entered in the layout. The characteristic values in the header area (for example version, fiscal year) move within the limits that are set by the selection criteria in the planning package or level. They are valid for the entire planning layout. The header area can contain only characteristics, that is, no key figures. You can also build planning layouts that do not contain header areas. Usually, however, this will only be appropriate when you use very few characteristics and especially when very few combinations can be formed from the characteristic values. Otherwise, the layout will contain either very many columns or very many rows..
Lead Columns,
The lead columns determine what the plan data displayed in the data columns refers to:
If you display key figures in the data columns, then the lead column shows which characteristic values (or which combination of characteristic values) the plan data in the data columns refers to.
If you display key figures in the lead column, then the lead column contains a list of all the key figures used in the layout. This means that each row in the data column contains the plan data for the key figure listed in the lead column.
Each planning layout must have at least one lead column.
Suppose Report is
Fiscal Year                   Revenue
2010                                500
Then fiscal Year will become lead colums ...

Backup scenarios for plan data : DTP to be used ?

I have a planning cube to which i have a back up cube, which is a standard cube, and have a one to one transformation between both of them. My scenario is that i want to take a back up of the plan data into this standard cube. Initially i want to take 3 years of plan data and then i would take a weekly backup of the data.My requirement is that once i take a back up of the data, that particular data has to be deleted from the planning cube.

you can do the following.
1. backup the data using a transformation
2. write a planning function/sequence which sets all keyfigures of the backup-ed data to zero (in your planning cube).
3. Compress the planning cube.
If you use the variables in the filter in step 1 and 2 this should be safe. If you want this can even be executed in one process chain.

0vtype =20 (plan data) not populating to cube but present in psa

Hello Experts,
I have a requirement in BW 3.5 where in I need to create a report on multiprovider which should give the actual data,plan data and the difference between actual and plan data for some key figures.
The data flow is like this
There are two cubes one for actual and the other for plan ,I am able to get the actual data (10) for actual cube from R/3 .
But the problem is with plan cube,I am not able to get the plan data (20) to the plan cube (to the field 0vtype) ,but the data is coming till psa from R/3,there is no routine present in update rule also,but still data is not showing up for this 0vtype in plan cube...
I have tried loading selectively (020) by giving 020 as constant in the update rule..but still no luck
The datasource that is fetching plan data is 1_CO_PA_PLN1000.
Could you please suggest how to proceed further

Checking the mapping between the 0vtype and the source fiedls.
Check in transfer rules first if it is mapped or not.
Transfer rules are not mapped to source fields then correct it .

Regarding planning data not available in reports

In my reports I'm populating actual data and planning data.But as of now we have only actual data display's in our report.what we are doing is we are populating data in BW and analysing on the base of the product cutomer (compounded) combination which is coming from r/3.(groups and sub-groups which we are entering at r/3 )
So our report shows us on the base of groups and sub groups which we are entering at r/3 level.That all is working fine but our customer wants that planning data is also displays in the reports as of now it is showing not assigned values in report.
so my question is ,To display planning data for group and sub groups provided by r/3 on the basis of product and customer (though other reports are showing planning data) , I know that I need to include this compounded infoobject in bps cubes but shall I also need to consider this in the BPS functions?I'm confused here and not sure about this.
And is that mandatory to have that componded infoobject mapped from underlying ods for customer.Because as of now planning cube is only updated with BPS functions?
Could you pls advice?

If the actuals and planning data are in seperate cubes then you will need to create a multi over both cubes to report on them together. However your BPS planning must be done against the same infoobject for you to be able to report on them together. If you are planning against the same IO the groupings from R3 will apply.
Also include the infoobject 0REQUID as a characteristic restriction and restrict it to variable 0S_RQMRC (Most Current Data)

After closing request plan data are not longer displayed

Hello all,
guess it's a standard problem but can't find a solution in the forum.
Scenario:
I created a planning cube and an aggregation level with two key figures, a workbook
based on the planning cube and a cube with actual data. The workbook showed the
the actual data and the so far entered plan data, so everything worked fine, but after closing the request
in the plan cube manually by switching to loading and back, the workbook doesn't show the plan data anymore.
Planning is not finished, so its necessary to see the already planned values.

I think this is an inconsistency of the OLAP cache used in the plan buffer. Clear the cache of the plan buffer query via RSRT or RSR_CACHE. The plan buffer query has the following technical name
- IC/!!1IC if the input ready query is defined on an aggregation level on the InfoCube or on a multiprovder that contains an aggregation level as partprovider that is defined on InfoCube IC
- MPRO/!!1MPRO if the input ready query is defined on an aggregation level on the multiprovider MPRO
For a final solution earch for notes in the area of OLAP and OLAP cache in connection with planning.
