Understanding Throughput Numbers on ASA5585-X series

I'm in the evalation process to upgrade from an ASA5580, which at peak is handling 5 Gbps download and 2 Gbps upload I want to be sure I'm understanding the numbers on the ASA5585-X data sheet correctly. Looking at the ASA5585-S40 for example, these numbers are listed:

The "Maximizing Firewall Performance" presentation at Cisco Live also mentioned a "Real-World Throughput" of 12 Gbps, but I'm not sure how they came to this number.
My questions are as follows:
Is "throughput" the combined inbound and outbound traffic? Would a 8 Gbps download and 2 Gbps upload be considered 10 Gbps throughput, or only 8?
What is "Multi-Protocol" and how does that influence the numbers? If the firewall will only pass tcp/80 with no inspection, what is the throughput?
The 5580 platform has a bus limit of 16 Gbps. Does the 5585-X series have any such limit?

I've scanned through similar discussions and mostly see chatter that throughput depends on packet size. Well, duh! The link states that the 20 Gbps number for the 5585-40 is with Jumbo frames, so that's good to know. But what I'm really trying to figure out is what the throughput would be for large but non-Jumbo frames, roughly 1200 Bytes. I would guestimate it in the 12-15 Gbps range, but since a need a firewall speced for 14 Gbps, it's really cutting it close.
I think the only way to get at these numbers is lab environment with packet generator, so I can go that route. Just seeing if anyone else has done it already. In a nutshell, I'm trying to fill out charts like this below for the 5585-40.

I'm struggle to understand how Numbers works.

As an Oldie I'm finding the transition between Microsoft Excel and Numbers a bit traumatic. There has to be an easier way than trial and error, but I haven't found it yet.
Any suggestions as to where I can find a decent tutorial, will be much appreciated.

If you haven't already, have a look at Help > Numbers Help in your menu (recommend not using the User Guide linked to above as Numbers has changed *a lot* since then.) And study some of the templates at File > New.
Numbers built-in functions are a subset of the multitude available in Excel. But they work the same, so Excel-oriented descriptions of how those functions work generally apply to Numbers too. No array formulas in Numbers, though.
In Numbers think about using separate tables instead of one large table like a worksheet in Excel. A Numbers table is similar to a named range in Excel (or to a table in Excel if you use those). Tables are central to the Numbers experience.
Numbers doesn't have built-in macro capability like Excel's. However, similar automation can be achieved via AppleScript.

Can MB31 be used for GR to production orders with series numbers?

As we know, MB31 can do GR to production orders. If the finished goods need series numbers, can MB31 assign series numbers to the finished goods received?

Dear David,
Create a serial number profile using OIS2 and assign the same in the work scheduling view of the
material master.
It depends on the business requirement once after the order is created or when released the serial
numbers gets assigned and at the time of Good's reciept these numbers gets copied in MB31.

Previous Numbering Series Navigation Lock

Dear All,
for the new financial Year we had Defined new Numbering Series and now some documents are created in New No. Series.
My Concern is when we Navigate the same doc it display one document of Old series than one document of New No. series, Can we Lock Old Numbering Series Document so that when we navigate those document are not displayed.

Hi,
Ther is no such locking provided in SAP B1.But you can do the workaround be setting the group in the document numbering fo the old series and restricting the user acees to that group through user authorization.

Create a two-way link (using AppleScript?) in Numbers '09

We are migrating to iWork '09 for our business needs and seek an Applescript expert to advise us as follows.
Our team has successfully used VBA in Excel for Mac 2004 to "two-way link" two cells in differing spreadsheets such that anything entered in cell 1 shows up in cell 2 and vice versa. However, neither Excel for Mac 2008 (which most of our company uses) nor Numbers supports VBA, and Numbers seems like the best overall app to use IF we can get two cells to link as described. Typical formulas do not work as a cell cannot be both an input and an output cell.
Please advise or help!

It would require that the script is aware of the exact location of every document.

Numbers as Excel replacement

I have really been trying to like Numbers.
I am a long time Excel user and spreadsheet addict. I am not a power user by any means (I don't even know what a pivot table is much less how to make or use one). I mostly use the spreadsheets for financial tracking and time tracking (logbooks).
On a nice clean Leopard install, I did not want to pollute it with all the duplicate fonts and other garbage MS Office spews on to the hard drive. So I bought iWork.
Almost everything I try to do requires a work-around and from what I read here, I am not the only one experiencing this.
I know and fully understand that Numbers is NOT Excel and I don't want it to be. It just seems that Apple has kind of dropped the ball even in what a simple spreadsheet program should be. It almost seems like they never expected anyone to use times and dates on their spreadsheets.
I know this is the first try at the spreadsheet market, but I must say that for the first time, I am disappointed in Apple.
I cannot recommend Numbers and am considering "polluting" my clean hard drive with Office spewta once again to have access to time and date calculations, freezing panes, etc.
I hope things change on the next rev. and I hope it is a free update.

Take your attendance example, I have the same situation. If you put the dates in the header row they will appear in each page in print view, this is what I do. <</div>
If you are in "print view", does that mean you have to switch to some other view to edit info? Or is it still allow edits but just is a different way of seeing things? Also, you mention header ROW. I haven to have three rows for what I would want to always see. I also have two columns I freeze.
In excel we all put the latest date at the right-hand end of the table. Why not do it this way, put the latest date right after the names (by adding a column there as you take attendance each class), thus your first day of class would be the one that is pushed off the screen and that would not matter <</div>
Okay, so everything ends up in reverse order and I guess that could be done, even though it isn't normal, but what about when I'm looking through a series of dates to see patterns - like maybe the student doesn't do their homework sometimes and looking back I might notice it is always on Wednesdays. I'd still need to scroll but I wouldn't see the student's name as I did. Hiding columns would also make it harder every time I need to look for these things.
Then instead of making all the totals to be at the far right of the column, make a separate table for that. <</div>
That is certainly an option that I think would work fine, though as I switched from one to another, I'd still have to find the student in question on a second sheet instead of having already found them on the first.
I'll need to actually try this on Numbers sometime when I get to the Apple store again.
It does seem to me that being able to freeze panes is a pretty simple, basic capability to have though. I really can't imagine why it wouldn't be something people would want. It would be like saying we only want a one-button mouse so we are different than windows!

How to measure throughput on Cisco 2811

How do you measure the current throughput on a Cisco 2811 router?
We will be replacing this unit with a 4000 series one but the new devices limit the amount of throughput and require a license to increase the limit.
Also, anyone aware of the commands to check the current throughput limit on a 4000 series router?

I'm not sure about the 4K, but a show license might show the active license, and if it does, that should tell you the maximum performance.

Activities in Finance that involves moving of customer numbers

I would like to know what are the activities in SAP that are involved with transferring of customers numbers ?
We are having some business shifts that we are renumbering our customer numbers from non-standard numbering to a standard numbering range of XX-series. Apart from AR balance transfer what else should be taken care of from finance ?

ITunes refuses to copy TV Shows based on episode numbers...!

I have a lot of TV content in iTunes, some bought from the iTunes store, some I have ripped and encoded myself. Everything is tagged thoroughly and correctly with episode IDs, episode numbers, watched/unwatched flags, series and season info, even episode titles. The works, basically. Everything appears in the correct order and works perfectly from iTunes itself.
However, when it comes to syncing with my iPhone, it's a totally different story. I have iTunes set to copy over the first least recent episode of various shows, and this used to work fine. Then it started to get things a little off, so I may have watched episode 1 and 2, but it would sync episode 4 instead of 3. Then it got worse, much worse, to the point I am now where it's as if I have some hidden 'copy any random thing you like' option checked.
To try and remedy this I deleted my iTunes library XML and uninstalled iTunes. I then re-installed, and set everything up again (not a fun process!). Then I let it sync my iPhone and if anything the selection of episodes it copied over was even more crazy than before.
I don't know what else to try here. iTunes itself displays everything perfectly and in the correct order, but I really liked the ability to keep things in sync between iTunes, my iPhone, and my Apple TV. I can use playlists and manually choose which video to sync, but I shouldn't have to.
Any ideas how to fix this? Thanks.

Cheque numbers

Hi All.
The payment and system has assigned cheque against document numbers as pre cheque series updated in the SAP. But the actual Cheque Numbers given to parties/vendors are different than cheque numbers assigned in SAP. We want to assign new Cheque instead of old cheque numbers.
We are alreday reversed the document.

I want to update new check number 789 instead of 456.

Choose Plot Columns as Series or Plot Rows as Series from the pop-up menu in the bottom ba

I am trying to construct a 2D graph in Numbers 3.5 (2109) that shows at two time points the voting intentions by political party. The instruction given by Help is below, but I cannot find the bottom bar or the pop-up box.
Switch rows and columns as data series
When you add a chart, Numbers defines default data series for it. In most cases, if a table is square or if it’s wider than it is tall, the table rows are the default series. Otherwise, the columns are the default series. You can change whether rows or columns are the data series.
Select the chart.
Choose Plot Columns as Series or Plot Rows as Series from the pop-up menu in the bottom bar.

Click once on the chart (graph) to select it. Then click on Edit Data References. The pop-up appears bottom left of the Numbers window.

Creating and using new Document Series in SAP B1- URGENT

"I want to use two different series in the same period in SAP B1 other than the default series. But whenever I am trying to do it i am unable to use both the series and at one time. Only one series is accesible even if I use the option "set default series for certain users."
Further elaboration - I handle retailers and wholesellers in my business process.I want to use two series Retail and Wholesale for the two different classes whenever I make an Invoice. So that the class of the document is seperated by the series.

In Admin - System initialisation - Document Numbering go to relate series document and choose A/R Invoice by double clicking it. Now the Series A/R Invoice will open. In that window click on new. It will go into Numbering series set up. Here go the the particular row in the first column give the series name as Wholesale and enter the first no.and the last no.and give the period indicator as default. Now right click on that row and addnew row you will be taken to the next row where in again you can name a series and the last and the first no.

Spotlight in "Open Dialog" fail to find "Numbers" file

Hi,
when i use the spotlight search tool inside the open dialog box from Numbers it seem to be unable to find "Numbers file".
Let say I have 4 files on my Hard Drive :
- FileName1.xls
- FileName1.Numbers
- FileName2.xls
- FileName2.Numbers
If I type "FileName" in Finder > Spotlight It get all the 4 files.
If I type "FileName" in Numbers > Open Dialog > Spotlight it get :
- FileName1.xls
- FileName2.xls
Either I check or not different search options (filename / content / Start / My iMac ...)
Any idea what's wrong ?

La corruption d'index est une piste. Mais comme Spotlight trouve mes fichiers dans d'autres conditions, cela indiquerait un Index correct. Toutefois, ce point est très technique et je ne ferrais aucun pari sur la "mécanique" d'Index Spotlight. J'ai donc utilisé l'outils recommandé dans la discussion donnée en lien (je n'aime pas trop l'idée qu'un outil tiers bidouille les entrailles de l'OS d'Apple, mais bon). Apparemment l`'outils détruit l'index et Spotlight se met au travail et ré-index le disque.
Mais cela n'a rien changé.
j'aimerais approfondire un peu si vous le coulez bien. Avec 37 805 points vous devez avoir quelques ressources en réserves ;-)
Appelons ça le "bogue" ; même s'il peut s'agir d'un problème de paramètre quelconque modifié maladroitement dans mes préférences systèmes ... En explorant différentes pistes et en vous les soumettant je peux peut être vous mettre sur la voix d'une solution qui ne vous vient pas immédiatement à l'esprit car très spécifique à mon cas particulier.
Nous sommes d'accord sur ce point : la recherche dans Numbers > Ouvrir est une implémentation de Spotlight. Manifestement cette implémentation est pleines d'options et présente des différences significatives avec le Bureau.
Exemple 1 :
Dans Finder la recherche par type > autre est un champ vide.
Dans Numbers la recherche par type > autre est une liste de choix.
Il semble que Spotlight dans Numbers ne prennent en considération que les fichiers que Numbers peut ouvrir. Et pour cela il se base sur l'extension. Et le bogue fait penser que les développeurs auraient oublié l'extension ".numbers" !

J'ai effacé tout une série de tests tant la découverte finale est la plus importante ...
En modifiant l'extension d'une application en .numbers elle est apparue dans ma fenêtre Numbers !
J'en conclu que "mon" Numbers n'affiche via spotlight QUE les fichiers portant une extension compatible (xls, cwk, txt) ET que le fichier est de type "binaire / app / ???".
L'erreur serait sur ce dernier aspect : les fichiers numbers ne sont PAS des fichiers "binaire / app".
Ou orienter les recherches, puisque, manifestement, ça marche sur votre Mac ?

Numbers trouve les .php (des fichiers text assimilable à des executables) mais ils sont grisés donc impossible de les ouvrir.
Là je dis, ça devient du n'importe quoi .... :-(
