WAS server getting restarted??
Hi,
We have a J2EE application running on WAS 6.40/sp15. While processing about 20000 records, the application puts as many messages in queues. It works fine till 15000 records. But when processing more than that the application gets aborted and the WAS server gets restarted. Any help what could be the possible problem?
Is there any queue size or some thing like that which needs to be increased??
regards,
SujeshSujesh,
Can you be more specific about records? Type?

Unexpected Error during get latest
I support RoboHelp and RoboSource for a couple people in my
company. One of them recently has been having issues while
performing a get latest on all the files when RoboHelp initially
starts up. In the middle of the get latest an error message pops up
"Unexpecte Error: please contact the system administrator." When
she clicks okay the get latest stops midstream, without getting
many of the files. I am the system administrator and have no idea
what the issue is. I made sure all the files from both of the
client computers were checked in properly. And still the error.
Just as a side note, we are still on RoboHelp X5 and the help
system we have created is rather large.
Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.
SethHi Seth,
this error message is extremely helpful, isn't it? ;-)
It can have any number of reasons, but in my experience the
most probaböe ones are:
- The project has been added to RSC by importing the
respective folders using RoboSource Control Explorer instead of
using the Add to Version Control command from within RoboHelp
Office. Therefore, the database contains several files which must
not be there. Look for the project's cbd-file in the database; if
it's there, this will be the cause.
- The database is corrupt. Stop the RoboSource service on the
server and run a jetcomp over the database.
If the problem persists, please ask again; I'm under a slight
time pressure right now.

VM with 1GB RAM in Hyper-V server gets restarted while Updating glibc rpm
I created a linux RHEL 6.1 based VM in Hyper-V server windows 2012R2.
VM settings are given below:-
Start up RAM=1GB.
Max RAM=2GB(dynamic expandable).
RAM type=dynamic
We are trying to upgrade old version of glibc rpm(glibc.i686 02.12-1.25.el6) with new version(glibc-2.12-1.149.el6_6.5.i686) on this VM using yum command. We also tried using rpm -Uvh command but result is same. We did the same
upgrade in ESX server VM there it is getting updated successfully.
While installing new glibc, VM is getting restarted unexpectedly.
Note: This behavior is not seen on ESX hosted VM.Hi Sir,
>>I created a linux RHEL 6.1 based VM in Hyper-V server windows 2012R2.
First I would suggest you update hyper-v host then install newest LIS for RHEL 6.1 :
https://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/dn531026.aspx
If the issue persists I would suggest you to try to get further assistance within following forum:
https://social.technet.microsoft.com/Forums/en-US/home?forum=linuxintegrationservices&filter=alltypes&sort=lastpostdesc

Elton Ji

Hi
In one my production servers we have ColdFsuion 5. From the
last week , its automatically getting restarted.
I have observed the Server logs i found this issue. due to
this all my users are getting frustated, as they are missing the
data in the middle.
Ex:
"Information","1","02/20/08","11:03:32",,"The ColdFusion
Application Server started."
"Information","1","02/20/08","12:09:32",,"The ColdFusion
Application Server started."
how to overcome this? In what scenarios this issue will
happen?
could any one have an idea on this.

HI,
We have deployed an .ear file of size 44MB to J2EE stack of WAS6.4 SP16. While we are starting the application in VA, portal server is getting down. This happens only with this application. When we try to start other applications, they are working fine.
However, the same application is working fine when we deployed in WAS6.4 SP9.
Please share ur ideas on this........
Regards,
Ravi.HI,
Sorry for the late reply.
In the log file it was showing as JmxConnectorException. what does it mean?
I havent seen OutOfMemoryErrors anywhere in log files.
And after deploying the application in VA in server1, I am seeing one more file MetaModelRepository, here the application is not getting started.
I am not seeing this file while deploying to server2, here the application is starting.
Is this the problem with MetaModelRepository. whats the significance of metamodelrepository?
Regards,
Ravi. -

This is the info:I am experiencing exactly the same issue with my 2012 Macbook Air. The panic usually occurs after opening the MacBook's lid or after attempting to exit the screensaver.
Does anyone know what causes this? -
How often should the SMP server get restarted? Cockpit message "Restart Required!"
How often should I restart the SAP Mobile Platform server? I have received a message in the SMP Management Cockpit that states "Restart Required!".
Hi Darrel,
Batish is right there is no need to restart server unless you change specific settings that need a restart. Ex. cache settings. You can find an "i" symbol next to these fields which need a restart if you change these values.
Also server restart is needed if you change any config files ex. admin-role-mapping.xml.
Are you able to reproduce this issue. Could you give a screen shot of this issue. What is the version of server?

I have set up the RWA and I can log in to the web console with my server account. However when I click on any of the shared folders I get this error:
An unexpected error occurred. Please try again. If the problem continues, contact the person who manages your server.
Does anyone know how to troubleshoot this?
Regards,
MaciekI had this very same issue with one of our customer's servers that was running Windows Server Essentials. I ended up calling Microsoft about the issue. I hope this helps someone. This originally appeared on my blog: http://techspeeder.com/2014/01/14/remote-web-access-error-an-unexpected-error-occurred/
Troubleshooting Steps:
1. We were getting unexpected errors while accessing shared folders remotely
2. The tech found IIS handlers were missing
3. She went to IIS > server level ( parent level) and added managed handler mapping :
Name: svc-Integrated-4.0
Request path: *.svc
Executable: System.ServiceModel.Activation.ServiceHttpHandlerFactory, System.ServiceModel.Activation, Version=4.0.0.0, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=31bf3856ad364e35
4. Added script mapping:
Name: svc-ISAPI-4.0_64bit
Request path: *.svc
Executable: windir%\Microsoft.NET\Framework64\v4.0.30319\aspnet_isapi.dll
Name: svc-ISAPI-4.0_32bit
Request path: *.svc
Executable: windir%\Microsoft.NET\Framework32\v4.0.30319\aspnet_isapi.dll
5. Ran IISreset.
6. We were able to access resources in Remote access, then. -

For troubleshooting your issue, please take steps as below:
1. Open web.config file of current web application
2. Find the node that begins
<trust level=
3. Change the trust level from WSS_Minimal to
WSS_Medium
4. Save the file
5. Drop to command prompt and execute :
iisreset
If your issue persists, please provide detail error message of ULS log to determine the exact cause of the error?
For SharePoint 2010, by default, ULS log is at

Hello Community
Edit My Profile in My Site displayed an error that "An unexpected error occurred" with a
Correlation ID. I have tried to read the logs in the 14 hive Logs folder but unsuccessfully.
I was able to understand Event Viewer logs, there was supposed to be 4 possibilities
one was wheter UPS was running, the other was clearing the cache and the other 2 I also fixed
I even recreated the Search Service Application, Metadata and UPS but when I fixed the problems
the error still occurred.
Then I used a Powershell command that displayed output but the Output doesn't make sense
because it is saying the login failed associated with the database that was created by the Search
Service application when it was created.
But how can that username be related to the Search Service database? Below is the output:
