Unexpected error with form submittals

We have end users at various locations. I created a form for them to fill out and submit back. Some locations have no problems submitting the form and others get an "unexpected error." It's pretty clear that the locations that are not able to submit the forms are being blocked somehow. We can ask the administrators to let the forms go through but I'm not sure what to ask them to do. Can anyone help me out?

Hi;
Can you share the URL of the form with me and the appoximate time of any of the failed submissions?  We'd like to investigate on our end.  Mail to [email protected]
Are the users entering large blocks of text?  Attachments?
Thanks,
Josh

  • Ical won't sync with yahoo calendar. Get error....There was an unexpected error with the request (domain CalDAVErrorDomain / error 1 / description 'The collection at "/dav/xyx/Inbox/" is not an inbox.').

    Hello, I get the below error when I start iCal and it tries to sync with my Yahoo Calendar. Any thoughts?
    There was an unexpected error with the request (domain CalDAVErrorDomain / error 1 / description 'The collection at "/dav/xyx/Inbox/" is not an inbox.').

    I am having same problem - I've added events to Ical and it's not updating in my Yahoo calendar. Getting this message: There was an unexpected error with the request (domain CalDAVErrorDomain / error 1 / description 'The collection at "/dav/mcarthur_c/Inbox/" is not an inbox.').

  • "There was an unexpected error with the request on subscribed calendars (error -1)"

    I have been subscribing to my wife's work and home calendars since she started using an iPad mini late December. Suddenly, today, nothing will sync to it. If I try to update, the iCal app fails to pick her work calendar, saying "There was an unexpected error with the request on subscribed calendars (error -1)." Her iPad has the current iOS.
    I tried re-sending the 'subscribe to my calendar' email (with a link) from her iPad, but trying to open that link results in the same message.
    Our computers all run Mac OSX 10.6.8 and iCal 4.0.4.
    I don't really know if my iPhone 4S is picking up her calendar info. I have never been able to see if/how an iOS retrieves cloud data when accessed.
    Any help appreciated.

    You will find that the calendar's URL bevins with ical.mac.com. The mac.com domain was one of MobileMe's website hosting domains, and with the closure of MobileMe none of its hosting works, including the CalDAV server which was used by a number of subscription calendars - mostly third-party but also some Apple ones: you would think, wouldn't you, that at least Apple would be aware of this. In fact a few days ago, following a similar query, I went through about twenty randomly chosen calendars in Apple's list, and only two of them worked. Most of the rest were ical.mac.com ones (there were a few with other servers which had also gone dead).
    These calendars are no longer available, and won't be until the authors wake up and find somewhere else to host them.

  • Template.fmb  error  with  Forms 9i

    Hi, please could someone explain how the following error can be solved.
    I have been given a Form as an .FMB file which I need to modify slightly and then compile to an .FMX file. However when I load the .FMB file into Forms Builder 9i an error dialog appears containing the message:
    FRM-18108: Failed to load the following objects.
    Source Module:Template.fmb
    Source Object: WHEN-NEW-FORM-INSTANCE
    Source Module:Template.fmb
    Source Object: WHEN-WINDOW-CLOSED
    etc, etc, etc.
    This is followed by a second error dialog stating:
    FRM-10102: Cannot attach PL/SQL library Form. This library attachment will be lost if the module is saved.
    FRM-10102: Cannot attach PL/SQL library Company. This library attachment will be lost if the module is saved.
    Can someone please explain this? I can find no trace of a file called 'Template.fmb' anywhere on my machine!
    Many thanks for your help. I will be very grateful for any clues!
    Terry.

    Thanks for your reply Professor Yaffle. Originally I assumed that 'Template.fmb' (plus other library files) must be something specifically developed by the people who gave me the .FMB source file, however I then did a search with Google and came across several references to a file called 'Template.fmb' (usually in the context of an older version of Forms, 6), which suggested that this file may be a generic Oracle file which ships with Forms (or an old version of Forms).
    Unfortunately none of the hits that I obtained with Google were particularly useful in telling me what this file is or where I can get a copy (if it is a generic publicly available file). There were several comments along the lines of, "download files from the $AU_TOP/resources directory to your local disk", but what is $AU_TOP?
    I am now beginning to think that perhaps 'Template.fmb' really is something that was developed by the people who gave me the .FMB source file, as you suggest.
    By the way Professor Yaffle, I see that you are in Bath, UK which, by coincidence, is only about 14 miles north of where I am (Frome)! Small world, as they say.
    Terry.

  • Unexpected error with curly braces (guids)

    I have a client using the v8.1.6 of the OraOLEDB driver. When a query is run that references a guid, I get an unexpected error (-2147467259). The query looks like:
    SELECT obj_name,obj_desc FROM myobjtable WHERE object_id = '{123445-1234-1234-123456123456}'
    The object_id field is a VARCHAR2(38). If I drop the curly braces, the error goes away, although I don't get any rows. This does not happen with v8.1.7 of the driver.
    Is this a known fix in v8.1.7? I'd like to tell my client to update the driver but I want to make sure this is actually the correct solution. Thanks.
    -Russ

    Well, curly braces have a special meaning in ODBC/ OLE DB-- they're used in escape sequences to create timestamps, dates, call functions, etc in a platform independent way. I know there have been bugs in the ODBC driver when it comes to curly braces in a string literal-- I'm sure there have been bugs in the OLE DB parser. If you do a search in Metalink, you may be able to find the particular bug number you've found, but I would strongly suspect that this is a known, fixed bug.

    hi -
    i just encountered a crash that looks the same to me (the segmentation fault and logs look very similar - problems around the JavaThread "RMI TCP Connection".
    Did you get anywhere with this? do you have any clue by now what causes this, or do you have a workaround to avoid it?
    10x,
    Noam

  • Receiving 'Unexpected Error' with Firefox Sync

    I was having issues with Sync no longer working. I am on the latest version.
    I signed out and when I try to sign back in I get 'Unexpected Error' in a red bar across the box. I tried using my work email to set up a new account and get the same thing.
    I tried refreshing Firefox as I saw that suggestion in another thread but even after refreshing I still get 'Unexpected Error.'
    Any suggestions?

    Make sure that you allow cookies for the accounts.firefox.com domain if you aren't allowing cookies generally or use the 'Ask me' cookie setting.
    Various data is stored in localStorage and sessionStorage, so make sure that DOM storage is enabled.

    A few things that you can try:
    Disconnect Sync and reconnect to Sync.
    Delete the signedInUser.json file in the profile folder with Firefox closed and possibly delete the Weave folder as well.
    Delete and re-create the FxA account.

  • Invalid number error with Form on table page

    We used the "Form on Table..." wizard to create a simple page to update the SCOTT.EMP table. When we submit the page we get the ORA-01722: invalid number error. When I view the data in the WWV_FLOW_DATA view in the FLOWS_010500 schema, I can see all the data from our form in long format with the actual values that were submitted. But I can not track down where this error is coming from.

    James,
    What data did you enter in each field? Could it be as simple as you tried to enter character data into the deptno column?
    Sergio

    With this changes your program works:
    function validate(){
    if(sw)
    return true;
    else {
    alert(str);
    return false;}
    <form method="post" enctype="text/plain" action="mailto:[email protected]" onSubmit:"return validate()">
    <tr><td><input type="submit" value="next" size="20" name="submit"></td></tr>
    (also, note that you should advice that you need 5 digits in the ZIP field.
    Fill the field with 3 digits to see what I mean).

  • Recordset filter error with form

    I have a good working recordset which views my records good.
    When I change this to a recordset with a filter (form value)
    it doesn't work anymore (I did a test in de recordset window with
    the same value)
    In my browser I get: (dreamweaver closed and database isn't
    locked anymore)
    HTTP 500.100 - Internal Server Error - ASP error
    Internet Information Services
    Error Type:
    Provider (0x80004005)
    Unspecified error
    /spxcrm/slsklantselectie.asp, line 16.
    What could this be?

    I found that the problem must be in security and rights.
    I've set up in the folders that IUSR_[username] should
    havefull rights. This solves the problem, but not 100%.
    Now I can run my page 2 times. The 3rd time I get the same
    error.
    Hope somebody has a better idea.

On each, I am shown this page after clicking to begin the setup of my printer. I tried installing it to another Mac, and it worked without error. I'm unsure of what I can do to fix this. • Error with Credit Card Address

    Whenever I try to log onto the itunes store and set up an account to buy music it says my credit card doesn't match my address when it does, I have sent tech support e-mails, but of course they are useless.
    One reply by e-mail said to change my info on the myinfo site, but everytime I try to do that it says there was an error, so I can't change the information there either.
    It's pretty bad I am wanting to spend money for stuff and the tech support is horrible.

    I have already checked with the company to make sure the address is the same and it is.
    As for the error message, there is no number but I get.
    "There was an unexpected error with the application.
    This problem has been noted, and an email has been sent to the
    administrators.
    Please continue with the application.
    Thank you for your understanding."
    I tried editing my profile several days in a row and I still get this, over and over.
