Universal Customer Master (UCM) Future Dated Records

Hi
My organisation is assessing Universal Customer Master and wants to put data from HRMS into it via data interface. However, we do not know if future dated records are able to be entered into UCM. This presents an issue, as HRMS records tend to have future dated changes that would not necessarily show in UCM.
Any advice would be appreciated.

Check Window > Previous Recipients for that user name and see if the old addresses are there. If they are delete them.

  • R12 - Payables - Prepayment & Future Dated Payments

    Hello,
I'm looking (in R12 Payables) for
    1. Pre-payment invoices record which is not yet applied
    2. Future Dated records which are not yet matured
Can you please help and suggest where I can get these details...table name or report or screen....
    Thanks in advance
    Satish

    Hi
You can view this information in the Invoice Inquiry screen.
The navigation for the same from any standard responsibility is Invoices>Inquiry>Invioces - This will open the Find Invoices window.
For e.g. you want to find out which supplier have the Prepayments and Future Dated Payments available, than perform the following search:
Enter the supplier name in the supplier name field and click on the TAB - Calculate Balance Owed, thereafter Calculate Balance Owed screen will appear and then click the Calculate Button which will display the following information:
    Invioce Count and Balance:
    Unpaid Amount:
    Future Dated Payments:
    Less Available Prepayments:
    Number of invoices:
    and
    Number of Prepayments.
    Hope this helps.
    Thanks

  • Issue with chinese description for Customer master

    Dear All,
In customer master there are few records with chinese characters. Now interesting thing is that sort field, street city etc are showning correct values in chinese characters but for medium description it is showing "#" .
Why it is not showing chinese characters in only medium description field?
    Regards,
    SS

    Hi,
Please check the language for the medium descritption field in the infoObject master data for the particular entry.
Are there multiple languages maintained? what are the medium description texts against those?
This can help to isolate the issue.
    Hope this helps!

  • Sort Key in G/L Acounts and Customer MAster Records.

    Dear SAP Guru's,
What is the specific use of the Sort Key?How will this effect the Line item entry in FBL5N?
In our Company The G/L Accounts the sort key is maintained As 000  Allocation Number.
_Also In Customer Master-->Company Code Data
The Feild sort key : It is maintained "000" Allocation Number _
If I change the sort key Now after 1 year of several records updated Will the System sort according to the changed sort key?
I want the sort key to be document Number Now after a year will the previous records be shown with the immediate effect.
I have gone through this link.
    https://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/sdn/forums.
    regards,
    Amlan Sarkar

Sort key field is also known as Allocation field.
The u201Callocation fieldu201D is populated automatically onto line items, during document entry, based on the default sort indicator set in the master record.
When you display or change line items, they are displayed in a standard sort sequence as per sort key defined in master records.
Sort key is defined in G/L master, Vendor master and Customer master. The key defined here is taken as the default key by the system when you want to display the line items pertaining to that account.
The sort key determines what is populated in the allocation field upon posting.
Changing the sort key will only change future postings not already existing line items.

  • How to change Number range to Contact Person in Customer Master Record

    Dear all,
We are maintaining contact person details under contact person tab in customer master record.
Currently contact person is being created using VAP1 transaction.
Can we automate this contact person creation by entering the data in contact person itself?
and where can we change the number range of contact person.
I have searched a lot to find the solution for this. Please help me to resolve this issue. Your suggestions will be highly appreciated.
    Best regards
    Venkat

    Hi Venkat,
To your first question: "Can we automate this contact person creation by entering the data in contact person itself?"
Yes, you can enter the contact person directly in the customer master in the contact person tab. A number is generated automatically.
To your second question, go to transaction SNUM, and there use object "PARTNER". Here you can configure number range for contact persons.
    Hope this helps,

  • Account Group and partner functions in customer master records

    Hi Gurus,
I need your help to confirm the following understand if correct:
    1. To create customer master record for partner function Ship-To, need to create a customer master record using the uniquely assigned account group for Ship-To , that is, 0002 . In this ship-to master record, define in its partner function tab, the other partner functions related to it.
    2. To create the above, it cannot be achieved by just assigning the partner functions in the partner function tab of SOLD-To customer master record , created using account group 0001.
    Question:
    1. How does the system know or allow what codes a user can select (f4) or enter manually when defining in customer master record's partner function tab, the partner functions and their respective codes?
How is this controlled? Is it by user authorization? or will user / sales administrator be able to select any codes tied to a partner function?
    2. Lets say there are 2 partner functions : Sales employee VE and 9E called Sales Representative. Both of these partner functions are of Partner Type PE.
When defining in customer master record's partner function tab, how does the system know what codes is selectable for the administrator for each of these partner functions?
    best regards
    M Russo

    hi russo,
this is to inform you that,
    1. yes you are right.
    2. you need to follow the steps as you said.
    Question:
    1. that you can find in the search basing on account group for partners.  that assignment we should know russo which SH to be assigned to which SP.  no need to have authorization for that, make a note of the list of SH and SP to be assigned that's all.
yes, he will able to select any SH from the list but make sure that we assign the correct SH to the list of SP.
    2. that you will be defining it in Partner Determination Procedures.  at the time of CMR creation you have to select the correct code that will get populated in sales order.
    hope this clears your issue.

  • Restrict the creation of customer master records at sales area level

I know that you can supress fields at the company code and sales area level in customer master, but, is there a way in configuration to restrict the creation of a customer master record at the company code and sales area levels?  Only the general data level is needed for this customer account group.
Any help would be greatly appreciated!!

    Hi
Create the Customer Master without entering the Company Code and sales Area. The system will allow and ask you to fill only the General Data.
The other way is that Create a Account Group and suppress its all Fields of Accounting View and Sales Area View, so that for that account group you will have to maitain only the General view.

  • Location of Indian Tax IDs in Customer Master Record.

We are enabling India as company code/sales organization. One of the requirements put upon us is to carry 2 tax id numbers on the customer master and at the transaction level. We are being requested to carry a CST (Central Sales Tax) id and a VAT tax id. I am using the VAT registration field kna1-STCEG which is 20 characters long. The business is telling us that they need the CST to be 25 characters. Our original intent was to store it in kna1-STCD1, however this field is only 16 characters long. The business is telling us that the validity years need to be appended to the tax id number which pushes it over the alloted 16 characters. Has anyone else run into this, if so what was the chosen method.

    Hi,
I had the same problem in my previous implementation. If the tax condition types in your customer master and material master are not in the same sequence, then your condition records would not behave properly. They would either throw out some junk values or multiple condition types may appear in your sales order.
To over come this, I have made the sequence of the condition types in material master through OVK1 T.code as the same order as the customer master condition types.
This resolved my problem and the condition records were correctly picked.
By doing this your issue also would be resolved. Please update the forum if you still face issues or if you use a different method to over ride this.

  • How to change the field sequence in Customer master record.

    Dear Friends,
We are required to chage the sequence of customer master record fields that are available under different tabs of 'General Data', 'Company Code Data' and Sales Area Data.
Our client requirement is to place all mandatory fields in the first screen of customer master record. Here the intention is to save the user time instead going and clicking multiple tabs/screens to fill information on only one or two tabs. Please suggest us the availabe solution in SAP for this requirement.
    Thank you
    Raghu Ram.

    Hi
Step 1: Take help of a FI guy and:
The fields can be suppressed by configuring through Financial accounting > Business Partners > Customers > Account groups.
Step2 : The challenge inyou project is to have a single tab with the allowed fields
A technical guy can only help you out on this . Again This would be a huge effort since first you need to change the code for customer master. As customer master is a source of data for various documents in SD , at each place you will have to do changes in th code...I don't think it is feasible.
Instead of doing this , create an external interface for transferring the value to SAP through BAPI. this would involve integration and may be as per defined SAP standards you can use CSV files or XML files for the integration process.
This would be a better option than fiddling with SAP system

    Regards
    Parul Deshwal

    Hi Parul Deshwal,
    - The number range is created in XDN1.
    - The number range is assigned to the account group "Stock Transfer - Depot" in SAP Customizing Implementation Guide>Financial Accounting>Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable>Customer Accounts>Master Data>Preparations for Creating Customer Master Data>Assign Number Ranges to Customer Account Groups
Remember - If you are entering an external number it generally means the number is created in an external system and replicated to your system.
Help - Check what external number was used last by doing SE16 on table KNA1 and use the account group "Stock Transfer - Depot" as a selection parameter.
    Best regards,
    Glynn
