Unlimited data gone after I was told my plan would not change

I went the other day to get my wife a birthday present. She had a droid bionic and has had a lot of problems.  She always mentioned that she really wanted a iPhone seeings I have had one for over 2 years with no problems.  So I thought hey why not get her the iPhone 5.  So I did as I was purchasing it I made sure to ask that we would not lose the unlimited data.  I was assured that I would not, so I went ahead and purchased the phone.  Two days later I get a text on my phone stating that I had used 90% of the data on my line.  Then the next day I received a text stating i had used all my data for the month.  So I called Verizon and they stated that because I upgraded that my line had lost the unlimited data.  I stated what I had been assured of at the store and I was told to go back to the store and complain to them.  What good would that do when you told me I could not get my unlimited data back.  What I was told next shocked me, I was told I could get my unlimited data back if I took my wife birthday present back and got a refund then my plan would revert back.  So after that I requested to speak to the loyalty department and was told they did not have one.  I stated yes they did because I had spoke to them before about a issue with a droid device. So finally he stated they did have one but they only do out going calls.  What kind of customer service is that, when you are told to take a gift back and get a refund.  Switching to a new plan would raise my bill to over $200, were is the loyalty to customers who have been with Verizon for years.  I pay 176 dollars a month now I put up with the new activation fee for all phones.  I am seriously considering taking that phone back and switching to another carrier, because it seems like Verizon d does not really care if their customers are happy or not.

Did you purchase the phone at full retail price or the two year contract subsidized price? Was it a corporate store or a premium retailer? Did you look at your receipt and see if they kept you on the Nationwide Plan or switched to the Share Everything Plan?
If you are within the 14 return policy period, return the device and call customer service and request an inactive pricing restoration of your previous plan and the upgrade you had used to buy the device. Since you returned the phone, the upgrade eligibility should return, but you NEED to request that your plan be reverted back to its previous setting. If you are outside of the 14 days since purchase, you are out of luck.

    Do you have Wifi at home? Do you do a lot of social media, internet surfing, video etc?  Go to settings/data usage/ and scroll up to see what is consuming your data.   You can restrict any of these apps from data usage by selecting one, then scrolling up and checking "restrict background data" for each app you wish to limit. Ones restricted will still function on wifi if available. Data can be restored to any app by unchecking a checked box.  That's a start.
    I keep my S5's data turned off unless I have a particula need when not near wifi. This month I'm near mid way through my billing period and have consumed around 29MB.  Not as much fun for sure but much easier on the wallet.  Caution, public wifi is likely not a secure connection.
    You also can set alert and limit levels for data use by your phone on the Data Usage screen of your phone.

    During the month of January, I was about to go over on my minutes and I called Customer Service. A representative told me my best option was to upgrade to the next higher plan and pay the difference rather than getting charged for the overage minutes. I did exactly that.
    On my February bill, I was charged the overage minutes. While on vacation, I called Verizon again and a representative told me I was right in what I was told by the other representative. She filed a request to have the charges removed, and it was later denied. I pleaded my case again and how the first representative told me to do exactly that. Once again, denied. I had to settle for a lousy 25% off the charges after talking them up from 10%.
    I feel cheated and scammed after I was told what to do and later comes back and bites me. HELP!

    I had the 1400 minute plan and upgraded to the 2000 minute plan. The bill clearly shows the 1400 min plan being taken off and charged 2000min plan from the beginning of the billing period.

    I recently changed my plan over the phone with a rep because I initially was going to cancel my service.  I was told that I could change my plan and save $40 a month and by changing my plan, it would NOT change my contract end date.  I just pulled up my account and not only do I see my end date extended out to another year, but the changes I made were NOT correct.  I want this fixed !!!!!

    You may be mixing up two entirely different Adobe products.
    1. Adobe Flash Player. Needed to view web pages designed with Flash. Not needed to view PDF files. Not available for Android (not just Sony).
    2. Adobe Reader. Reads PDF files. However, the Android can also read most PDF files without needing Adobe Reader.

    I recently brought in a broken iPhone 4S and was told the damage was too great and therefore that is was BER and Apple would not cover the phone.  I have never dealt with this issue before and was curious as to where in the terms and conditons Apple reserves the right to not cover if the think that the phone is beyond economical repair.  When I asked clerk I was told that everybody knew that BER applied and "you would not expect an insurance cover to pay for a car if it was totalled."  I told the gentleman in that case the BER only applies as to whether I received money for car or insurance company repaired the vehicle. When I asked to see the terms that set this out nobody in the store (or the chat support agent later).  Does anybody know where this term or terms is set forth.  Also, has nobody ever questioned if it is fair to sell consumers coverage for accidental damage and not tell them that only small damage is covered and not major damage?  I am a little suprised unless I am missing something really obvious.  I have never had this issue with Asurion or with Best Buy coverage.  Thanks

    You mention Apple Care, not Apple Care + which are two completely different things. Apple Care is nothing more than an additional year of standard warranty coverage. Apple Care + is what addressed accidental damage. Warranty has never covered accidental damage. What kind of damage did you do? An out of warranty replacement can be done for $199 for the iPhone 4S, and that just means you brought the phone in at least somewhat intact.
    Never heard the term, but what I wrote above is what warranty is.

    If it's an Apple mouse, make it "Favorite" in Bluetooth preferences.
    If it's not, the same thing might help, too, but if the problem continues it could be a driver issue (possible incompatibility with your OS X version).

  • Project Start Date – modification after project was saved.

    I created new project with  a start date 01/April/2015 and saved it. Next, I change the start date to 14/April/2015 in the setup.
    However still in statistics windows I see the start date as 01/April/2015. Additionally, every new task has start date 01/April/2015.

    1.Firstly I set up project start date as 01/04/2015 in Project, Project Information and in File, Project Information and save document.
    2. Afterwards, I modified start date into 14/04/2015 in the same places.
    However, the date in Project, Project Information - Statistics was still 01/04/2015 (please check screenshot).
    3. But finally, after several openings and closing of the document the date in Statistics is correct (hard to say what is the reason).

    I am on unlimited data from years ago. Unfortunately, I have 2 basic phones and 1 smartphone. Years ago I needed 1400 shared voice minutes but no longer. I could easily just do the 700. I know on the two basic phones it says I can change the voice plan. My question is.....every time I attempt to do something I am told on the smartphone account I will need to choose a new data plan. Does this include the voice minutes or is this considered separate?  Trust me when I tell you I have to read the fine print on every page to make sure I don't lose it. Any help is greatly appreciated. I am sorry but when I try to talk to them on the phone it appears they would rather lose me as a customer than continue my unlimited date.   • I was told that I could not return a defective iphone!

    I ordered an iphone from apple.com. The screen was not screwed all the way down, so i had to take it to an apple store(hour and a half of my day which is a big hassle because i work alot and go to school full time.) to get checked out and eventually replaced. I immediately put an anti-glare screen protector on it. About a week later i removed the screen protector because i didn't like the affect it had of making the blacks look grey. The only problem is that the screen protector wasn't causing the greyish blacks. The screen itself was! So i set up an appointment yesterday, and went to the store today. They agreed that the screen was defective. They didn't have any 4 gb iphones in stock however and told me i'd have to come back another day when they come in. That of course is more of my time. I told them i would return the phone and just buy an 8gb (which they had in stock). They told me i couldn't return the iphone. I only had it for 12 days and it never worked. He said it was "against policy," which is of course just a cop-out way of saying "because i said so." I find it hard to believe that Apple would disallow returns of defective products and i also question its legality. I would like to think that it is just this store (they almost made we swear never to buy an apple product once before when they damaged my laptop in for repair, refused to admit to it, and insinuated that I am a lier.
    Has anyone else had this much trouble with apple? Because i am becoming fed up.
    (oh and they better not try to pawn a refurb off on me. It never worked in the first place and i did not pay full price for a refurb iphone)

    Apple appears to be 'cracking down' on their returns more lately. When the iPhone was first released and for about 2 months afterwards, they were taking in returns no problem, replacing defective iPhones with brand new ones in the box, etc. Now they seem to be doing everything in their power to NOT return them or replace them. Sounds a lot like an insuance company. I guess that's what happens when you put a lot of defective product out there.
    If I were you Dan Pallas, I'd just go back to the store with my reciept and my iPhone and return the whole thing. How can they deny a return? They can't if it's in the 14 days. When they charge you the 10% restocking fee, pay it but let the manager know you're not buying anything else. Tell him or her that you were going to buy an 8GB phone at a higher cost, thus giving Apple more money but now no way. Remind him that good customer service is at places like Costco where you can return an item for 90 days and NO restocking fee.
    I know you want an iPhone, but isn't this policy ridiculous? Show them that you think it's ridiculous.
    I find it absurd that I can buy an iPod at Apple and have a 14 day return policy, replacement with a refurb and a 10% restocking fee. Yet, I can go to Costco and buy the same iPod and have a 90 day return policy, free techincal support, and NO restocking fee if I need to return it within those 90 days, as well as get a brand new non-refurbished iPod. AND that same iPod is $10 cheaper than at Apple. Guess who gets my business?

    Actually, you can have a mixture of USB2.0 and USB 3.0 devices on the 2012 Mini's. USB3.0 devices will operate at 3.0 speed and USB2.0 devices will operate at 2.0 speed. It all depends which device is plugged in first not the slowest speed device. So, if a USB3.0 device is plugged in first, it will use SuperSpeed and USB2.0 devices will use High-Speed. If a USB2.0 device is plugged in first, ALL devices (3.0 and 2.0) will operate at High-Speed (USB2.0).
    In the System Information under USB there are two types of USB hubs. One is USB High-Speed Bus which will show the USB2.0 devices. Another is USB SuperSpeed Bus which shows the USB3.0 devices. You can see your devices under each Bus.
