Unselected Tab Text / background colour

Hi all,
I have a PS6.0 installation, using JSPTabContainer.
The docs tell me how to change the background colour for the selected tab, but not the unselected tab.
I assume it is a default value sourced from somewhere, but I don't know where.
Any hints?
(ps. I'm a little new to this)

The jsp templates in this folder will give you a clearer
picture of what is going on at the runtime...
For your problem see tab.jsp (and tabs.jsp )

I'm building a form which has a tab canvas using Forms 6i. In my application Im using Oracle Look and Feel and the BLUE Colour Scheme. The background colour in the bar with the tabs is shown as grey, I would prefer it to be blue (that matching the shade of blue in colorScheme=Blue). I have tried setting the background colour of the tab canvas using the colour palette but am unable to find a matching shade of blue. Does anybody now the colour code to use?

Add background colour to text

Hi
I was just wondering it its possible to add a text background colour in muse (for links) natively or would I have to achieve this by using CSS?
Had a search but could not find an answer.

Yes ... but I don't know why the above solution has been picked as Correct, because it's wrong ...
Just create the text wording you want then give it give that a background FILL colour as would with any other element ... to make it look better add a STROKE of about 1 (or 2) ... then a bevel (rounded corners) of 3 ... then use the 'Spacing' option (right panel) and use the pixel settings to give the text equal spacing from the edges so they're not too tight to the borders ...
The button below (which is on a black background) was given a Facebook link ... when hovering over the link you get the hand popup to show it's a web link ... and was customised to the colour theme of the website ... then use the STATE options to create colours for Over, Down and Active ... to show feedback when using the button ...
Just click on the text field to set a hyperlink ... no need to actually highlight the whole text itself ... and don't forget to tick the 'open in new window or tab' box if that's what you want it to do ...

Tab background colour color

I'm trying to fill in the background colour in the header section of my app...

I realise these are images... and I've tried entering the bgcolor="#000066" attribute directly to the images....

you could use 129: Horizontal Links List (101). You can specify the background colours in that template.....

How to change the text color of a label by using RGB values without changing the background colour?

xCode interface builder:
When I try to change the color property of a label's text by using the RGB values, the background color also changes to the same value automatically.
in other words:
While setting the RGB values for text colour of labels, the background colour also changes unless we use the sliders.
How to make sure that only the color of text changes and not the background?

You can simply do this.

Indesign CS6 text drop shadow changes background colour

I have two layers, one for a background image linked to a photoshop document and another layer for text. When i add drop shadow to the text, the background colour goes sort of dark, and the same happens in overprint view whereas with 5.5 it didn't do that. Is there a way to fix this?

I have designed a report in CR2008 using XSD datasource.
I have a field which returns a RTF text. The text comes out correctly when I run the report.
Scenario:
1.Background colour (eg Yellow) has been applied to the field
2.RTF text contains paragraph breaks
Result
The background appears for each paragraph and where there a para break, there is white space. In other words, I want the background colour to appear for the entire field. Right now, it appears odd because I have white spaces between each paragraph with the background colour for each paragraph

How to insert background colour into text?

Hi,
I'm relatively new to Dreamweaver so I'm not sure how exactly to phrase this question. Within a div file on my HTML I have created I have a few links taking the user to another page. .
For the sake of clarity I have inserted an image to express what I am trying to say.
The background colour for my div is a chocolate brown. I was wondering if there was any way of creating a background for the text for each link within the div? So the text would have a background with a different colour?
I'm trying to create something that looks like this:
Does anyone know if this is possible to do? Do I have to create separate Div files within the main div file to do this?
Apologies for the lack of detail, I just don't know the technical words to show what I'm looking to do! Any tips or links to tutorials would be hugely appreciated.

First, we need to examine the HTML code used to construct your menu. The modern approach is to use an unordered list like this:

How cna I change the text and background colours in iTunes?

Can anyone tell me how I can change the text and background colours in iTunes? I am a visually impared user and my main requirement on a PC is to change the colour schemem to white text on a black background. Most software adopts the settings of your colour scheme but iTunes goes it's own and has everything on white backgrounds. I cannot read from white backgrounds (dazzle - that sort of thing). I have never used iTunes for this reason. I have always been a devotee of by far the best media player out there Musicmatch Jukebox, who allow you to edit skins in every detail. However, recently Musicmatch was taken over and users were forced to migrate to the ridiculously poor Yahoo Music Jukebox. A massive downgrade in so many ways.
I want to use iTunes but will not be able to if I cannot sort this issue out. I downloaded 7.5 before discovering that if you want to use Multi Plugin for skins you need to go back to iTunes 7.02. I've done that, but the skins available are completely pointless to my eyes. They don't change the colours of the main components, just the graphical bit at the top.
What I need to do is change the background of the main browser windows so that they are black and the text is white (you know the track lists and tree views, etc). This must be a very simple case of just changing the codes somewhere, but I can't find where. I read somewhere that you need to hack into something call ResourceDB inside a file called iTunes.jar. There is no such file on my PC. Could that be a Mac thing?
Please help someone if you can. I would like to become an iTunes user. There seems to be more music available than on Napster which I currently use.

In my opinion, it seems that Apple has decided to sacrifice usability so that iTunes would look more like a Mac application. You are probably already aware that using Windows' built-in high-contrast settings do not work in iTunes.
I did some hacking at the resource file a while back, but I was unable to figure out how to change the color of the background. IIRC there was a resource whose description indicated it would change the background color, but when I changed the resource, nothing happened.
I was, however, able to figure out how to make the "large" font much larger (any size you want, I suppose). Will that help? See

I don't think it is too harsh to call it "shameful" that Apple has chosen this design path. Where I work, we are required to make ALL applications (or any computer interface, such as a website) section 508 compliant. Of course, I'm being a bit of a hypocrite, because I've made no effort to make my website compliant. If you have trouble reading it, please let me know.

Setting colour of text background

I automatically generate mail from FileMaker, attaching a PDF of my data. Filemaker generates an outgoing message with the file attached and then passes me to Mail so that I can modify it and send it. This morning, the accompanying text has a black background. I can change the text colour and the document colour but can find no way of removing this black background. It would be a normal thing to do in an Word document or an HTML document, change the "text background", but not in Mail! Any ideas please?

Hate to say it but me too (from the Filemaker side). Happened right after installing S5. Worse it now shows the PDF in one of those windows that displays an X in the upper left corner. The simple solution is cut the PDF file from the stinking window, delete the window and paste the PDF back in. How could they screw this up? The whole window viewer is an annoyance as it often pops up when I least expect it on replies, making it very hard to trim quoted text in a reply. What is wrong with simple?

Global Background Colour with individual Overide Text Boxes

Hi I am looking to apply a global background colour using the details properties.
However I have individual text boxes that have their own background colour based on expressions that I want to overide the global details properites.
So I set up the global one with this expression
IIF(Fields!Number_of_Defendants.Value = 1 ,"Yellow","Transparent")
for the individual text box I used a nested IIF
=IIF(Fields!Bill_Rate.Value = 115,"Red",IIF(Fields!Number_of_Defendants.Value = 1 ,"Yellow","Transparent"))
This works but I'm wondering if their is a easier way so I don't have to have the 2nd clause.

As per my understanding, I think the expression you post is simple way. If you don’t want to use IIF function, I suggest we can try to use switch function as below to achieve the similar requirement:

White border in cell when adding background colour.

In Numbers for Mac. When I add a background color there is a white border inside the cell. How do I have the entire cell filled with the colour? I go through, the 'format'menu, 'text','layout', 'border' and 'background colour'.

Use the Cell tab to apply a fill color to the cell instead of applying a background color to the text.

Linux: The tabs text color changes with the theme, while the menu text color is always black.

When Firefox theme is changed, it usually changes window appearance, e. g. backgrounds, and sets corresponding text color to contrast with that background. It always used to be like this. For instance, I currently use Sunflower_01 theme which sets blue sky as a background. The tabs text is white, as well as the bookmarks. The white text contrasts very fine with the sky. But the menu items are awfully black, casting dark-gray shadows on the dark-blue sky. The menu remains black regardless of the theme I set.
Of course, it's all fine without any add-ons (light background, dark text), but with a theme enabled, it looks not the way it used to be. I wonder if it can be fixed somehow.
I use Mozilla Firefox 33.0 for Linux Mint (release 13, maya).

Did you install from the repositories? I have found the same problem with Ubuntu 14.04, a workaround is to either use a userChrome.css file, or (in my opinion, the easier route) [https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/stylish/ Stylish] extension with a new Style.

How do I change the background colour on notes. I need a darker background due to a visual issue. Apple has now discriminated those with visual issues. I am so not happy with many of the new changes because of this.

I am so not happy with the new changes especially when it come to the ability to change background colours, fonts and font sizes/ colours... Does Apple really think that their only audience is the young cool crowd or people who do not have a visual impairment. Think before you make changes to your software and programs. You WILL lose more people to androids if you continue this way.
At least give users the ability to make apps like notes their owned by allowing them to pick the style, theme, background and colour, font size and colour.
A very ****** off Apple user who is now looking at Androids.

I'm sorry but I don't see an ideal way to do this. Is it the yellow label text, e.g: "New" against the white background which is causing the difficulty?
The only way I've found of getting the colors to change in Notes is via Settings>General>Accessibility>Invert Colors but then it looks like something has barfed all over your screen.
I'd be very, very surprised if Apple do not fix this, firstly because I believe "Accessibility" is a legal matter and secondly because they will not want to cause difficulty for their customers. We have to remember that this is a major, major overhaul of iOS, it has essentially been taken back to the drawing board and done from scratch again, it may take a little time, but I'm sure they will fix these issues.
