UoM at sales order is EA...

Hi,
UoM at sales order is EA. while at delivery, I want to display UoM as KG & again at invoice it should be EA. How to configure this?
considering 1 EA = 1 KG as conversion maintained at Mat Master.
Br,
Bala.

Hi,
In one of the SD views in the material master, you have the possibility on the bottom to say : delivery unit 1 KG.

  • Dynamically Convert  to Sales UOM in Sales Order

    Hello,
Our customers sometimes send us purchase orders in a Unit of Measure that is different than our Sales Unit of Measure for a material.
Custoemr service would like the system to convert from the Customers UOM on the Purchase order to the Sales UOM of the material.
For example, they will request 500 lbs of material 555123. We sell this material in bags that weight 55lbs each.  So in reality we need to sell them 10 bags of material which is actually 550lbs.  What they would like is if they entered 500 lbs in the Standard Order, the system would convert this to 10 bags.
I was looking in MM Basic Data > Additional Data > Alternate UOM to see if this could be setup there.  But I still cannot determine if this is possible.
Can someone please let me know if this concept is possible in Customizing and if so, where should I investigate.  Thanks very much.

Thank you for your replies.  I have been investigating the rounding profile prior to this post and though they may be a possible solution.
Does anyone know for sure though if a Customer Service agent enters 500lbs in the Sales order if this will convert this to the Sales UOM?
The reason I ask is that I found an SAP Note 453347 that states "In the sales order, the system always uses the quantity entered on the item overview even if alternative units of measure exist."

  • Change pricing UOM for sales order line

    Hi,
I'm on release 12 and would like to have a sales order which is ordered in pieces and priced in meters.
Therefore I want to have a sales order line with order quantity UOM in pieces and the pricing quantity UOM in meters.
I'm however not able to change the pricing UOM in the sales order line form.
Is there anyway in which I can change the pricing UOM in the sales order line form without changing the order quantity UOM?
Or should the order quantity UOM always have the same value as the pricing quantity UOM ?
    Regards,
    Jan

    Hi Vinoth,
    Thanks for your reply.
I'm able to create sales order with order quantity UOM in pieces and with price quantity UOM in meters.
The issue I have is that I want to be able to change the price quantity UOM to another UOM just like I'm able to do with the order quantity UOM.
This is required because we want to have pricing for European customers in meters and for US customers in feet. At the moment the vaue of the price quantity UOM defaults to meters for the sales order line but I want to change this manually to feet for US customers.
What I would like is that I can change the price quantity UOM of a sales order line from meters to feet just like I can change the order quantity UOM from pieces to for example boxes.
When I use the sales order line form or when I use the order API, I'm now not able to change the price quantity UOM.
Is is possible to change the price quantity UOM from a sales order line to another UOM (and therefore overwrite the default price quantity UOM) ?

  • Changing UoM in Sales Order

    hi,
I'm trying to create a sales order, by default the Sales Unit of Measure gets the BuM, (e.g. pc).
In the Material master, conversion from box to pc is maintained.
Now, I'm trying to change the Sales Unit to box, but the system won't allow me, it says " Sales unit is not defined for item "
Can you tell me where else to look at, so that in the Sales Order, we can enter other unit of measures?
    Thanks,

    Hi Kapil & Sanjay,
    Thanks for the quick response...
there is already a unit of conversion in the material master additional data.. the Sales unit var is unticked.
actually, if I input sales unit "box" in the material master, when I create the Sales Order, by default it becomes box.  But when I change it to "PC" which is the BuoM, it will not accept and tells me, Sales unit is not maintained for the item...
Is there any other settings I need to check aside from the two you mentioned?
maybe a setting in sales document or sales item category regarding not being able to change the unit of measure?
    Thanks,

  • Maximum Quantity restriction in the sales order?

    Hi All
We need to make restriction of maximum order QTY  with UOM in sales order key combination of sales organization wise / site wise / distribution Channel wise
While qty is entered for an article in sales order for which maximum sales order qty is maintained in some field (Article master or any other possible field)-, system has to check if the ordered quantity is greater than maximum sales order qty then should display error message and will not allow to process further
    Hope the same is clear.
    Regards,
    C S Javali

    hi
there is no standard functionality available to set the maximum limit for a material in the sales order.
You can try using user exit userexit_save_document_prepare in include MV45AFZZ.
You may need to use Z-table to enter the maximum value for sales organization / site  / distribution Channel / material

  • Adjusting the behavior of sales unit of measure on sales order

    Hello Everyone,
I have a question regarding adjusting the behavior of sales unit of measure (UOM) on sales order (SO).
We maintain 3 UOM on material master u2013 A, B, C; where A is base UOM and C is sales UOM.
If we change the material on existing sales order in VA02, system also always changes the UOM on SO to C as well because C is sales UOM on material master. Sometimes SO quantities are in A or B UOM and we do not want system to change them to C when material is updated.
We know it is a standard SAP behavior and the question is if it can be adjusted somehow (in configuration or some other way), so system is not changing the UOM on existing SO to sales UOM when material is updated.
PS if we leave sales unit of measure field in material master blank, when material on SO is changed system is still changing the UOM, now to the base UOM A
    Thank you!
    Alex

ANSWER: According to SAP there is no way to change the behavior without taking the risk of breaking a lot of stuff.

  • UOM problem and PR00 not picking in sales order

    Dear Gurus,
    Material UOM -->       CARTON
    Additional Data -->     30 PC= 1 CAR
    VK11 -->                   1pc = Rs.10
When raising a Sales order, system is not picking up PR00. When checking in VK13, system is showing
    1 CAR = Rs. 282.03
How is this happening? If 1pc is Rs.10, 1carton should be Rs.300.
Yesterday i put a question in this forum asking if i can sell in pieces after entering UOM as carton. I was suggested to put 30pc = 1carton in Additional data, which I did and checked to find the system working fine. But today to show this to my boss, system is not picking the PR00 and its value in VK13 as 282.03.
I am totally confused here. Plz help me from this maddening situation.
    Thanks and regards.
    Venkat

    Hi
Go to sales order -> item data -> conditions tab and click on analysis , see what is the message system  is giving.
Another clarification is that when system is not picking PR00 ctype then how you are able to tell the value is 282.50.
Check the step in Pricing procedure for PR00 where you have assigned.

  • Changing UoM of a component in Sale Order

    Hello everyone,
We are faced with the following issue:
    1) For a material A there is a BOM created which has material B as a component.
    2) The base UoM for both the higher level item as well as the component is CS.
    3) The sale UoM for the higher level item is ACB.
    4) There is no sale UoM maintained for the component material.
When a sale order is created for material A using VA01, the UoM for A as well as B is CS.
The requirement is that the UoM for B should always be ACB.
We have tried some user exits also but the UoM for B is always reflected as CS.
    How to solve this problem?
    Best regards,
    Ronnie

  • PP: Production Order Qty UOM should be based on the sales order Qty UOM though having Alternate UOMs in material master

Hello PP GURUS I am new to this and i have one issues. I.e., While creating the Production Order, want the unit in the production order should be based on the sales order unit instead of what has been defined in the material master. Since, having 3-4 alternate unit of a material & can create a Sales Order in any one of them.
Also pls let me how to go through
either with the help of ABAP or configuration.
If it is with the configuration pls let me know the solution to arrive.
    Eg: Base UOM is KGS
          Alt UOMs: SQM, MTR, NOS
Sale order is Prepared with SQM and the same shall be in production order too to produce qty.
    Pls help me.
    rgds,
    Kumar V

    Hi
First you have to maintain alternate units in mateial master for that first go in additional data & maintain the alternate units as below..
    For example
    1200 M2=1 KG For SQM
    12 M=1 KG For MTR
    3 PC=1 KG For NOS
And then you can get Sales unit field in sales data 1 view enter your sales unit in that field & you will get production unit in work scheduling views as per your desire production units and according to that units your sale order & production order will pick that units & you can proceed accordingly but remember that first maintian the conversion factor as above other wise it will not accept hope that it will help you have a nice day...

  • Sales order item quantity not rounded and allowing decimals with UoM EA

    Hi gentlemens,
I noticed something strange in our SAP ERP system.
When we enter a material in a new sales order item, we are allowed to enter quantity 1,5 EA (1 and half Each).
But when I check the config of the UoM EA in table T006, the number of decimals (field DECAN) is 0 and the decimal place for rounding (field ANDEC) is also 0.
As far as I remember from other other SAP system, there should be an error message when entering the quantity 1,5 EA saying that decimals are not allowed for this unit of measure.
Can someone help and tell me wich error message or which rounding program should normally be active when entering decimals with uom EA ?
    Thanks and regards,
    BDT

    Hi Mani,
Thanks for the thread reference. I found the related OSS notes yesterday evening but this was for procurement.
Here the question I have is more for a sales item.
The strange case we are facing is:
In a sales order, we can enter a particular material as a standalone item with a quantity of 1.5 EA without any problem.
But if we create the same new item as a sub-item of a previous one (filling UEPOS), with qty 1,5 EA, then a rounding is triggered by the system based on the T006 config.
I am wondering if this is a problem with the SAP standard program or if we did anything wrong in the past in our system?
    Best regards,
    BDT

  • Sales order with differing order UoM and pricing UoM

    Hi
I need to create a sales order where the unit of measurement for the ordered quantity differs from the unit of measurement in the pricing condition PR00. This works fine if you have a fixed conversion, because you can simply set up the conversion in the material master of the sold material. My problem is that this conversion is flexible and can be changed by the sales representative. How do I do this? I remember that this isn't a problem at all in MM-purchase orders, you simply enter the conversion in the conditions tab directly. That doesn't seem to work in sales. Any hints?
Example for spreading services for farming.
Sales order for service "spreading", order qty = 17.600 HA, price = 21.00 GBP per 1 KGH (kilogram per hectar), conversion = 17.600 HA = 723 KGH if 12.720 KG of fertilizer is spread on the field. Problem is that tonnage and the field size are changeable. As well the theoretical application rate of 723KGH can be overwritten manually as required.
    thx
    Bj

Make sure the quantity conversion flags are checked, and then allow manual condition processing.  This should open up the fields to allow for manual adjustment of the quantity relationship.
You will still need to maintain a default UoM ratio that will be proposed on the sales order, but that relationship will then be able to be changed at order entry time (or after save in change mode).

  • Free Goods Problem and User Exit if needed in Sales Order

    Hello All,
The problem is related to Free Goods in Sales Order which is given with an example -
We have maintained Free Goods ( T Code - VBN1) in inclusive scenario which is as follows -
For 210 PAC (Pack) of Material A 18 PAC Free.
Where 1 PAC = 20 BT (Bottle) and 20 PAC = 1 CV (Case Pack)
In the material master of Material A the Base Unit Of Measurement (UOM) = PAC and Sales UOM = Blank so that we can use any conversion factor maintained for the material.
The conversion factors maintained for Material A are as follows -
    1 BT = 1BT
    1 PAC = 20 BT
    1 CV = 20 PAC
Now when we are raising sales order for 11 CV the free goods are not generated in the Sale Order.
Again if we maintain the Sales UOM in CV and raise the sales order it is showing :
10 CV as main item and 1 CV as Free which is wrong because in the conversion factor we have already maintained 1CV = 20 PAC , Whereas in the inclusive scenario it is given 11CV = 210 PAC and 210 PAC = 18 PAC is free.So in any case it is taking into account 2 more PACs.
Please suggest what need to be done in this case in respect of User Exit or Source Code in ABAP if needed.
    Thanks & Regards
