Hi,
We need to add new printer driver in SAP application server , how to add new driver?
Actually we have some graphics and fonts which is not supporing SAPWIN .we have different printers ,these printers I could not see in SPAD .
I foung many notes which did not help me . Can you please suggest step by step how to add new driver.
Please dont suggest help.sap.com , It will not help me .
- LisaFirst, you need to download the sap driver of your printer model from the manufacturers websites, usually the file has an extension *.pri this is different from windows drivers. Next, save the file to a any directory (e.g. c:\temp) then logon to your System. In TCODE spad > goto Utilities > For Device types > select Import. A window will be opened > tick Device Type >
Object name: type the exact filename of your downloaded file (xxx.pri) to be imported
Mode: IMPORT
F8/Execute
Select the Local Object button and browse to the location of downloaded file and select open, this will start the import process. When import process is complete a pop message will be shown "Object successfully imported"
Note: For alternative drivers try to use ZSAPWIN.
Hope this helps.

Hi All,
I have downloaded printer driver for Lexmark T644 , in spad from menu utilities->device type-->import
i have selected radio button as device type under object i have provided the driver file name (print-drivers-hpux11.11.pkg.gz.pri) which i have downloaded . when i click on execute clock , iam getting error message "This syntax cannot be used for object editing. Please let me know how to proceed .
Thanks in advance
Thanks&Regards
Shamshi Shams
It seems the device type is in compressed form. first unzip the file before importing it.
the extention of the file should be .pri but the extension of your device type is .pkg.gz.pri.
.gz is a convention of compressed format. check the installation details of this file before you import.
I think so your file should look like this before you import print-drivers-hpux11.11.pri.

Windows 7 - HP Laserjet 8500 print driver problem
I have tried everything imaginable to correct this HP 8500n print driver problem with no success, please help!
I cannot correct or get rid of a reoccurring “Incompatible Print Settings” error dialog box message that repeatedly states that “There are one or more conflicting settings. One of the settings is: Output Bin: Mailbox 1, Accessory Output Bin: Not Installed”. The radio button options are “Restore my previous settings or Keep this setting, and I will change it later”. This same dialog message repeats 13 times for all the other various conflicts each time you click on printer properties to change to 2 sided printing or any other printer settings. This printer does not have any of these features attached or set into it.
I am a volunteer that manages a number of computers on our small church LAN, 2 computers operating on MS XP-SP3, 2 on MS Windows 7 Home Premium and my 2 problem computers that came pre-installed with Vista Home Premium of which I have performed an HP OEM upgrade to Window 7.
I have isolated this print driver problem to the Vista operating system and even when computers are upgraded to Windows 7 does not correct this driver error. I have also tried every possible print driver variant of the HP 8500, HP8550, PCL, PS to include the Microsoft versus HP versions with no success. In each case I get this error yet neither of the XP computers or the computers that had Windows 7 as a original operating system have no problems with their print drivers for this printer.
Yes, I have repeatedly searched and upgraded the operating system and print drivers. In desperation I have even tried to find the correctly behaving Windows 7 print driver and transfer it to these Vista upgraded to Windows 7 machines. However I could not isolate the driver location.
The only thing I can conclude is that this errant HP print driver was resident within Vista and remains resident even after a HP OEM Windows 7 upgrade. Additionally, all of these computers are configured to access this printer via its static IP address on the network. The XP computers are 32 bit, all of the Vista upgraded to Win 7 and OEM Win 7 computers are 64 bit machines all with respective OS.
Can anyone please help me correct this problem?Hi,
Unfortunately I can't see your uploaded image yet as it is awaiting approval from HP.
From what I can see you are correct that HP does supply drivers for this printer and that the drivers for your printer are already included with Windows 7. On the machines affected, try the procedure below to see if it helps at all
Next download revo uninstaller on the link below and install it.
http://www.revouninstaller.com/download-freeware-version.php
Disconnect the printer from the PC.
Run Revo and see if it finds any HP Printer Software installed. If it does, right click the software icon and select uninstall. During the process you may be asked to delete registry entries. If you are, just select all and click delete. Do the same for any left over files and folders. Once completed, reboot the PC.
Re-connect your printer to the PC and follow the guide below.
http://h20000.www2.hp.com/bizsupport/TechSupport/Document.jsp?&objectID=c02536257
If this helps you will need to repeat the process on each of the affected machines.
Best wishes,
DP-K

Need to export windows 7 x64 builtin printer driver to a x86 print server
Hi,
We're planning our migration to windows 7 x64. But our environment doesn't have a x64 server neither a Server 2008; we only have x86 server 2003.
We are having trouble with printer Konica Minolta Bizhub 161f. I spoke with Konica support, they advised me they do not have a x64 driver for this model yet. The tech told me i can use the
HP LaserJet Family PCL5 driver built-in windows 7. I connected the network printer and selected the built-in driver from the list. So far this works as a charm.
Here's my concern, in order to upload x64 drivers to a 32bit server, i need to first to connect the printer from the print server to my x64 computer. But when i try this, i don't have the
prompt to select a driver from win7 built-in drivers. When i choose connect to... it asks me to locate a INF file on my computer. I don't have the INF file since its built-in windows. I tried to look within Windows's file system, under "Windows\INF\" but i
couldn't find what i need.
1. How can i export or find a built-in driver file within windows 7?
2.Is there is a better way to upload x64 drivers to a 32bit Server 2003?
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks
Regards,
BenoitHi Benoit,
Thanks for the post.
Here is how we find the built-in driver file within Windows 7:
1. Navigate to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Print\Environments\Windows X64\Drivers\Version-3\{Printer Driver Name}, in the right panel, check the value of "InfPath". Now we will get the specific path of INF file.
2. On a x32 Win2k3 server
Click on Start, Control Panel
Double click on Printers
Press the ALT button
or
Click on Organize, Layout, Menu Bar
Click on File, Run as administrator, Server Properties...
Click on the Drivers tab
Click on Add...
Click on Next
Uncheck the 'x86 Type 3 - User Mode'
Check the 'x64 Type 3 - User Mode'
Click on Have Disk...
Click on Browse... (to the x64 Win7 machine)
\\X64Win7\c$\windows\system32\driverstore\filerepository\prn*.inf_{GUID}
For example:
\\X64Win7\c$\windows\system32\driverstore\filerepository\prnhp001.inf_5fecfc5e\prnhp001.inf
Click on Open
Click on Ok
Under "Printers"
Select the print driver that you want to install
Click on Next
Click on Finish
Now you should be able to see the x64 print drivers installed under the "Processor" column.
Click on Close
In this case, we need to pay attention to the match of INF file name. As the Konica Minolta Bizhub 161f 32-bit printer driver has been installed on Windows Server 2003, but you try to install HP LaserJet Family PCL5 64-bit printer driver. The two INF files
will not be the same, which causes the x64 driver can be instaled as an additional driver. So we need to change the INF file name to match the 32-bit one. I cannot guarantee that the method can totally work on this case as it may involve some custom settings
from printer manufacturer. If needed, I suggest you contact Konica Support when you go through it.
Hope this helps.

How can I prevent update notice for print driver?
Recently I let the update notification window update my HP printer drivers. The updated driver eliminated my scanner. (i have an HP Photosmart all-in-one). I had to track dpwn and install the latest OS X printer driver at the HP website. It works fine. Now I get a notice that new software is available every few days, and it always contains the printer driver from Apple.
I want to keep my Apple software upto date, but I don't want to go through reinsalling my HP printer driver every few days. Is there any way to turn this notice off?Hi Rathi,

UPLOADING PRINTER FONTS
Every printer manual I've looked at talks about downloading fonts to the printer. I understand that part; but can I upload the fonts to my ibook? If a printer is advertised as coming with, say, 136 Postscript fonts, will they be available to me to use if I haven't already got them on my machine?
Thanks in advance for any comments.but can I upload the fonts to my ibook? If a printer is advertised as coming with, say, 136 Postscript fonts, will they be available to me to use if I haven't already got them on my machine?
Nope. They are on the printer as a convenience to speed up the printing process. If you were to print something using any of the fonts permanently installed on the printer, then those same fonts you're using on your Mac won't be sent to the printer. This reduces the amount of information that the application/print driver needs to send, resulting in faster execution of the page rendering. Which, as a result, gets the page out of the printer faster.
But you need to have those fonts on the Mac first by other means. They can't be pulled from the printer. -
Printer driver for brady ip600 not found
Hi Friends,
I need to print barcode label through Brady IP600 Model Printer, I didn't found the specific drivers for sap for this printer and please give some idea how i can make a device type for this model printer to print my Barcode Label.
Thanks in advanceIt sounds like you may have a preference file left over from the Epson Stylus Color 860 printer.
1) Have you followed the directory path, /Library/Printers/Epson/CIOSupport, to see if the plug-in exists.
2) Check for a preference file named for the printer in /Library/Preferences
3) Check for a preference file named for the printer in ~/Library/Preferences
4) Check for an Epson print driver named for the printer in ~/Library/Printers
If you find items in those locations from Epson for the Stylus Color 860 printer, move them to the Trash or a folder on the Desktop. See if the message goes away.
Be careful not to Trash any files related to the Gutenprint driver. -
Does SAPlpd pass data to my printer driver?
I am now using SAPGOF device type and trying to print data to my printer. I use "F:Printing on Front End Computer" on my Spool Administration setting.
I expect the SAPlpd is sending data (SAPGOF data) to my printer driver, then the printer driver will be doing something before it sends the data to Windows Spooler to print.
Is my understanding above correct?
Someone told me actually SAPlpd will not use printer driver in this case, but the SAPGOF data is sent directly to the Microsoft Windows Print Manager. So the printer driver will not receive the SAPGOF data.
Is the above statement correct?
How to verify it?
Please advice.
Thanks and best regardsHi,
SAPlpd is a transfer program for print output using a Microsoft Windows operating system. Generally, we use 'Remote printing with windows os'. In this case host spool system (Microsoft Windows spooler) and the spool system (application server with a spool work process) are on different hosts with remote printing using Microsoft Windows, the SAP spool system requires an external process that transfers the output requests from the SAP spool server to the Microsoft Windows spooler. This process is provided by the SAPlpd transfer program.
SAPlpd doesn't know the underlying printer h/w including driver itself. It just transfers the data from SAP system to Windows OS spooler. Then windows host spooler will send the data to printer driver.
Please reward with points, if it is helpful.
Thanks,

Dissociate default printer driver from the report viewer
Hello,
I have a problem in reports visualization. I set the report paper size via the code:
_printOptions.PaperSize = CrPaperSizeEnum.crPaperSizePaperCsheet;
The problem is when i visualize it it's truncated to the printer default paper size. How could i resolve this. I tried the DissociatePrinter option and it didn't help.
I'm working with .NET RAS SDK and C#.

Edited by: Rahma Sayari on Feb 20, 2012 9:44 AMWhat version of CR?
What version of .NET?
WEB or Win app?
See KB 1386475 and 1490938 (use the search box in the top right corner)
Also note that the paper size enum may be (most likely will be) different for each printer driver. Thus retrieving the paper size enum and setting that to printOptions.PaperSize may be something worth trying.
Searching for 'printoutputcontroler' may also get you additional resources.

Helo!
We need print from redirected printers on Windows Terminal Server based on Win 2008 Server.
Driver which used for that print task is Easy Print driver. WTS administrators say that we can't use any other drivers for that print task.
But when I printin this way from sap spool request created in WTS spool, but not redirected to client PC spool and not printed on it.
Please explain which Device Type I can use in SPAD SAP for print via Easy Print driver?Dear Evgenij Sorokin ,
1) There is no need to install any drivers in WTS .
2) It is the access method which is important not the device type.
3)Use access method 'G' while creating output device.'SAPWIN' device type is enough.
4).visit this page http://mywts.sap.com/faq/WTSPrintingInformation.pdf
Your local printers are seen in the WTS if they are shared while connecting to the terminal server. -

do following,
download sapsprint.exe from service .sap.com (Note 927074 - Patches for SAPSprint)
install it on your network server where network printer is attached.
now in sap follow the steps,
tcode -> spad -> configuration -> output devices -> change (F8) -> create
output device -> give name of printer i.e HP_printer
short name -> HPP
device type -> select your printer driver i.e HPLJ1100
device class -> standard printer
select tab access method
Host Spool Access Method -> S
Host printer : __DEFAULT
Destination host: ip address of host where sapsprint is installed
now in su01 for every user assign this printer ( use SU10 for mass change)
