URGENT! Convert text symbols to a different language

Hi all,
I need to know if there is a way to call text symbols in a different language? I need to call the following text in german depending on certain prior conditions but when i log in to the SAP system it is in english.
Any help would be much appreciated. Thanks

            20 SY-VLINE,
            21(35) TEXT-053,

Hi Seema,
You always want this text to be displayed in German when you login in English language?
You can make the translation in German.
Goto -> Translations will list all the texts used in your program.
Corresponding to text-052, give your translated text in German.
Every time, you run the program, this text in German will be displayed.

Hi,
I have a report which generates a string in different languages depending on the selection input.
I have translated the texts in method (for example text-t01) from original language EN to Chineese ZH.
When the user is logged into the system using EN language, I use SET LOCALE LANGUAGE ZH, then
I read the texts which are in Chineese which is correct, then I switch back to SET LOCALE LANGUAGE EN.
But the texts afterwards are still retrieved in Chineese language.

Once we translate the texts from source language EN to target language <anything>, then when we login to the client with that target language , the text will be seen in the target language only...if we login with EN it will show in English langugae...
either SE63 or from the menu->translation in se38(for programs).

Maintain text in report in different languages

Hi Gurus!
I have a report in different languages. Now when user logins in different languages, I want him only see English in GUI in that specific report. How do I do that? I don't want to re-translate again all the text in text elements and selection text.

Changing the text symbols in the logon language

Hi...
I want a text symbol to have description in malay. I logged in to the R/3 system in malay language and went into the text symbols space of the respective program which is in SAPLHRHAP_C_IF_DOCUMENT in my case. I need to change the text symbol BEX (Exit) to BEX (keluar) in this malay log on.When I try to rename it, It says that "the text symbol is in original text and cannot be renamed"
can you guys tell me how to do it?

if you want all your buttons everywhere to have white text, i'd subclass button and make the necessary change in that by calling setForeground();
otherwise, call setForeground() on all your buttons...

Text Line separation involving different languages

I am trying to make the transition from Pagemaker to CS2. I frequently have to make cards with strict external dimensions involving short lines of text in mixtures of English and Thai. Part of the reason why it is necessary to vary the distance between the lines is because the Thai Language uses tonal and punctuation marks above and below many of the consonents.
How can I best adjust the distance betwen lines of text in CS2?

Text being dispalyed in different language

OS: Windows 8.1
Everything else is displayed in english but at some places text and numbers displayed in Hindi language. What should i do to correct this issue? The screen grabs are attached below.

Urgent :- Wrong print out in a different language.

Hi,
In my invoice for a particular output type, the default language is english, but the invoice print comes in german. if I change the default language to Danish in Header output in invoice, the print out comes in english. there is an anomaly.
how to correct this...??

It may be Bug related issue in your Script or Smart Form so please approach with ABAPer he will Debug the programe and fix the issue.

Smart forms in different languages

Hi all,
i have an issue
I hav to convert my smart form in 8 different languages.
i know se63 but i dont want to use it as i have to maintain texts manually in different languages in se63.
is there any FM or code with which i can convert my smart form in different languages.
my smart form is originally made in EN language n i hav to convert it to german , italian , french , spanish etc.
please tell me any SAP note no that would be really helpful.

if you do to want to use se63, you have 2 way:
1. use modul text ( see Transaction smartforms, 3°option on the screen)
2. Use a standard text (so10 transaction)
I mean that on smartforms you have to use only this 2 kind of text and, of corse, translate it.

Normaly databse values are mentained in same table, and if there is requirement of maintaining texts or values in different languages then there is always a laguage key in database table.
in your case as you have specified that there are two different tables , then u need to eitherfind a function moduel which automatically checks for language and do the required data fetch from tables.
or if you dont find any such function module then you have to code different select statements for each language.
you can check the laguage using system field sy-langu to get the language then call appropriate select statement.

Hi Sunny,
It is pretty simple.
Create a smartform(it is easy to design & fast to develop) in English Language.
Then goto transaction SE63 & maintain translations in the required language for your smartform texts.
Now, when you logon to the target language & print the invoice, it will print in logon language as per the translations you have maintained.

Does someone know if it's possible in a function module to use text symbols declared in another program (report) ?
Are Text symbols a part of a report / MF or different objects that can be used outside ?

If you really need to access a text symbol of a different program or class, you can use the ABAP statement [READ TEXTPOOL|http://help.sap.com/abapdocu_70/en/ABAPREAD_TEXTPOOL.htm].
To access the text symbols associated to a class, you need to use its include name, e.g.
READ TEXTPOOL 'CL_OSME_GENERATOR=============CP' ...
to access the text symbols of the class CL_OSME_GENERATOR. You can use the class CL_OO_INCLUDE_NAMING to determine the include name of a class.
Of course, the online text repository is the better way to provide a central storage point for texts you want to use in many different programs.

Converting smart forms as a pdf in different languages

Hi Experts,
I have been created a smart form and later on i converted it to in pdf also, but how can i convert a smart form output into different languages (English(defualt), German, Italian, French, Spanish,). Can anyone tell me about the idea behind this or a simple demo program???????????
do i need to maintain each text on the smart form into these languages already through SE63 or somewhere any idea that can help me without translating the whole text into those languages, could be able to do pdf conversion.

The OTF data needs to already be in the target language - the conversion process is a process of changing the document format only, not a translation tool.

How to send email notification in different languages in Workflow? Can anyone send me some useful guidelines or link where it is mentioned.

There is no profile option available to specify whether send or not send email notification.
But after login, in preferences youcan set the notification preference value by which you can configure whether to send or not
to send email notifications.
If you select ''Do not send me mail' or 'Disabled' it will not send.
For other values it sends the notfication in different formats like text, html, attachments etc...

When converting a pdf file to word it appears in a different language

I was able to convert my pdf files to word but when I open the word document the document is in a different language. How do I get my word documents in english?

What product are you using? Are you using Adobe CreatePDF service that you can access at https://createpdf.acrobat.com? Can you please send me your PDF file at [email protected]? I'll give it a try. Upload positions-text in different languages?

Hi folks,
we have to enter positions in different languages. To enter new positions we use a flexible upload - method. We have got one upload-file for EN and another one for DE.
The problem:
if we upload the EN-file, the text of the positions in DE gets blank,
if we upload the DE-file then, the text of the positions in EN is blank.
So one of the fields (either DE or EN) is empty and would have to be entered manually.
What can we do to upload both DE and EN - text for the positions?
Is this possible at all?

Hello folks,
it´s possible to upload different languages!
It´s easy if you know how to do it:
create an upload-method with (at least)
Positionplan and language in the header
Position-nr and text (short, medium, long if you want) in the body
--> NO further information (hierarchy, type or whatsoever)!
Create a file with information above
Import the file
--> if positions are available the new language will be filled in
--> if you accidently address a new position you will get an upload error (as no hierarchy-info is available).
