URGENT iRecruitment - AME Custom Transaction Type

Hi All..
We have a requirement to send Vacancy Approval Notifications to Manager's Supervisor
( Say X is the Manager we specify while creating the Vacancy. System should send Approval Notification to X's Supervisor ).
1 I built a Custom Transaction Type with Dynamic Approver Group using the following Query
SELECT DISTINCT 'PERSON_ID:'||ppl.person_id
FROM apps.per_all_people_f ppl,
apps.per_assignments_f asg,
apps.per_all_vacancies vac
WHERE (vac.requisition_id = :transactionId)
AND (asg.person_id = vac.manager_id AND ppl.person_id = asg.supervisor_id)
2. Changed the Profile option "IRC" Vacancy Approval Transation Type" with the Custom Transaction Type ID.
Note: Test Workbench in AME is not showing any Approvers
3. When i create a NEW Vacancy. The System is selecting the default Approver ( which is Supervisory based ) . It is considering the Supervisor based on the USER ID we use it for creating the vacancy and sending the Approval. NOT using the Manager ID. !
My Question is
1. Is the Query Specified above correct as per requirement ? or am i missing something
2. How does the system consider the custom trasanction type for creating the list of Approvers. ( other than Profile option "IRC: Vacancy Approval Transaction Type""
Please Note: I did not use any Attribute or Conditions in the Custom Transasction Type. 'cause the business requriement is very straight forward.
Please Guide me through.
Thanks and Regards
Sheera

Santosh,
SAP do not support the copying of transaction types from SDHF to anything other than ZDHF or YDHF ie within the customer namespace.  In order to do that you need to use the copy function from SOLMAN_SETUP -> IT Service Management -> ChaRM -> Copy Transaction Types or transaction AI_CRM_CPY_PTYPE_WEB.  The procedure is documented in section 2.3 in the 'Change Request Management - Configuration and Upgrade Guide' available on the Marketplace http://service.sap.com/~sapidb/011000358700001056012011E.PDF.
I would follow that procedure first with a supported transaction type name and that may resolve your problem.

  • Custom Transaction Types, Subject Profiles etc...

    Hi all,
    Did anyone worked on custom Transaction Type on SDCR?
    I know that this is CRM specific stuff to configure, but want to check what are the implications in modifying exisiting SDCR..  Well, in the meanwhile, we need to work on custom Code Groups, Subject Profiles etc..
    What is the impact on upgrades if we modify the SAP defined Transaction Types SDCR?
    Please correct me if I am wrong in my approach.
    Response is greately appreciated.
    Regards,
    Mike.

    Thanks for response.
    I tried to copy and modify the subject profiles, catalogs etc.  I could able to create Change Request with the custom transaction type, but not able to authorize the change request.  And I am using SAP defined action profile for custom transaction type.
    And also little bit confused how to attach the custom change request to support message (we need to select the action item "create change document").  It seems there are lot of modifications to be done all the way from support message to urgent/normal correction.
    Please advice.
    Regards,
    Mike.

  • Customized transaction type not working

    In Change Request Management, we have copied a transaction type from "Normal Correction" and tried to customize it.  We have also copied a new action profile for this new transaction type.  And copied exactly the same action conditions.  However, when I trigger action "Set to 'In Development' " and save the change.  Status of the message does not change to "In Development" as "Normal Correction" did.
    Is there any setting missing that I should do?

    Hi Martin,
    have you followed the instruction in the IMG, when copying the transaction type?
    IMG: SPRO -> Configuration -> Scenario-Specific Settings -> Change Request Management -> Important Information
    See copy of the IMG activity below:
    IMG ###########################
    <i>Important Information</i>
    Before you start to configure Change Request Management, make sure that you have performed all the Solution Manager IMG activities under the following nodes:
    Solution Manager -> Basic Settings
    Solution Manager -> Scenario-Specific Settings -> General Settings
    When you copy the standard Change Request Customizing into customer namespace, you should just change the first character to Y or Z e.g. SDCR -> YDCR or ZDCR but not Z1CR, if you change more characters you should be aware that modifications will be necessary and it is not standard SAP. This restriction is required for all CRM related objects like catalog, transaction type, status schema ...

  • Can't Use Custom Transaction Type with SOLMANREQU

    Hi All,
    I'm newly making VAR ITSM configuration for Solman 7.1 .
    I've made ITSM configuration and can open an incident to SAP etc.
    I've created ZMIN and ZMIV from the original ones (with report AI_CRM_CPY_PROCTYPE) and added them to DNO_CUST04.
    When I try to login with a user IM_CREAT_SMC who has a ZSOLMANREQU authorisations, I can't see ZMIN or ZMIV truncation Types in Incident Creation screen.
    But If I add SMIV or SMIN to DNO_CUST04/ITSM Conf 2.2 , this user uses that one and create an incident normally.
    I don't want you use an original one. How can I achieve this problem?
    And one more question that, If I don't add crm_UI_profile parameter to user, It asks me to select ZSOLMANREQU or SOLMANREQU . Is it normal or do I need to do sty for using Z one as default?
    Regards
    Tutku

    Hi Tutku
    you can assign business roles via
    parameter
    pfcg roles
    organization model
    if you have multiple pfcg roles(which are attached to business roles) then it is normal to have that pop up because one person can play multiple roles in reality like same person can be change manager or tester etc.
    in your case you should only get the z* if required so kindly remove the stanard pfcg roles in solman
    below is a good blog to refer
    Where are the business roles assigned in SAP CRM

  • Settlement Transaction type problem

    Gurus,
    We currently use CJ88 to settle to AUCs to Fixed assets for US Projects. SAP internally uses transaction types 331/336 while posting this settlement and values are settled to all depreciation areas. Now, we are implementing for Mexico where they want only select depreciation areas to post acquisition costs. I created custom transaction types for 331/336 for the select transaction types.
    But the question is how do I make CJ88 to select 331/336 for US and the custom Ttypes for Mexico.
    Any suggestions will be highly appreciated.
    Thanks

    Hi Bernhard,
    Could you elaborate what your proposed solution is?
    I welcome other too to take a shot at this.

  • Authorization for custom trans.type in crm_dno_monitor

    Hi
    In ChaRM , i have created custom transaction type ZDCR, i have added the transaction to the authorization object CRM_ORD_PR for change manager role for create ,change & display . as when i open the crm_order ,i could able to create the custom transcation type , but when i am execute the transaction type in crm_dno_monitor , no thing is selected , but when i check the same in the full authoraztion user it is getting selected , i don't know where to maintain the custom transaction type for getting selected via t-code CRM_DNO_MONITOR .
    Regards
    Arumugam

    - First you display the ZDCR list from Tx CRM_DNO_MONITOR with a user with limited authorizations
    --> Messages are not displayed
    - Then you do the same (tell me if i'm wrong it was not clear on your screenshots, i'm not sure whether messages on the last screenshot are SDCR or ZDCR) with another user with full authorization.
    Did you create a BP for your first user ?
    I recommend that you try again with your first user with SAP_ALL profile and tell me if it works. If not we'll have ruled out one cause of error.
    Stéphane.

  • Restrict Transaction types in menu

    Hi All,
    In CRMD_ORDER transaction, when i select option "Create" from the menu 'Business transaction', it gives me a BIG list of all the standard and custom transaction types for selection.
    Is it possible to restrict this list to limited custom transaction types based on the user authorization. Also i have same requiremnt with Follow up transaction option.
    I guess this should be possible throgh authorization, but not sure how to go about it.
    Any help in this regard would be greatly appreciated.
    Thanks and Regards,

    Hi,
    Make use of Authorization object CRM_ORD_PR to restrict transaction types.

  • Inventory - Transaction Type - Information Request

    Hi,
    I was looking to use a Standard or Custom Transaction type, to bring in a material to a Non-Nettable Subinventory. These Transaction should not increase/decrease or impact any costing/accounting.
    So, what Transaction Type can be used and what are set-up changes needs to be done to achieve this?
    Thanks,
    Gowri

    A transaction type is the combination of a 'transaction source type' and a 'transaction action'.
    Use the Transaction Types window to define additional transaction types to customize transaction entry. A user-defined transaction type is a combination of a user-defined 'transaction source type' and a predefined 'transaction action'.
    For example, if you frequently donate items to charity, you might want to define a transaction source type called "Charity" and a transaction type called "Issue to Charity". In this case, the transaction action would be Issue from Stores. You would then use the Miscellaneous Transactions window to actually issue an item to charity, using the "Issue to Charity" transaction type. You would also specify the actual charity to which you are issuing, such as Goodwill, and the expense account that specifies the source (Goodwill).
    You must specify a transaction type when you perform a miscellaneous receipt or issue, a subinventory transfer, a WIP transaction, or an inter-organization transfer. Therefore, when you create a user-defined transaction type, you can only choose one of the following transaction actions and transaction source types:
    Hope, it will assist you to take decesion

  • No transaction type is available for creating a transaction

    Hi All,
    I have referred the following link
    http://wiki.sdn.sap.com/wiki/display/CRM/ActivityTransactionDisplayinNew+UI
    However, I am not able to create activity transaction.
    It gives message as No transaction type is available for creating a transaction.
    I have checked the component BT111M_OPPT and window inbound plug IP_CREATE.
    The settings in SPRO are maintained
    but still I get the value of   CASE lr_context_node->collection_wrapper->size( ) as zero.
      lr_context_node = lr_proctype_popup->get_context_node( iv_cnode_name = 'PROCTYPE' ).
      CHECK lr_context_node IS BOUND.

              iv_msg_v2         = sy-msgv2
              iv_msg_v3         = sy-msgv3
              iv_msg_v4         = sy-msgv4
              iv_msg_level      = '1'
              iv_important_info = abap_true.
    Is there any FM which will fetch the custom transaction types?
    Thanks and Regards,
    Gauri.

    Hi Gauri.
    Try to replicate or create the same using the same transaction type from SAP GUI if it is working fine there , issue will be in the web ui other wise the issue will be with IMG configuration.
    To get the custom transaction types use the function module
    CRM_ORDER_PROC_TYPE_SELECT_CB
    if you want to know all process types then use the below function module
    CRM_ORDER_PROC_TYPE_T_SEL_CB ( for this FM dont pass any import peramters except language as EN)
    Thanks & regards

  • IRecruitment Notification Approvals AME Transaction Type not being triggerd

    Hi,
    We are trying to customize iRecruitment Notification Approvals AME Transaction Type for our requirement of sending customized notification to recruiters and employees whilst doing any application status.
    But for some reason AME is not triggered.
    I have verified that the profile "IRC: Notifications AME Transaction Type" is approrpiately set at Site level; with value being "IRCNTFAPPROVALS". Does anyone know if any other setup needs to be done for AME to be triggered for this particular transaction type to be kicked off.
    Working on R12, 12.1.3 version.
    Any suggestions, if any one has faced a similar issue or any guidance?
    Thanks

    Similar issue for me too. Kindly update

  • Urgent!!  How to call a custom transaction or an ABAP program in BSP?

    Urgent!!  How to call a custom transaction or an ABAP program in BSP?
    We are pretty new on BSP.  Would be very appreciated if any expert here give us the detailed steps on how to build up the application to just call a custom transaction (e.g., t-code: ztest) or an ABAP program.  Would we have to create a button or event handler to do that?  And the detailed steps?
    Thanks in advance and we will definately give you reward points!

    hi Durairaj,
    During the time to wait for your answer, we copied Bernd's code from your last link, but when activating it, get the 1st error msg:
    Field "CLIENT" is unknown. It is neither in one of the specified tables nor defined by a "DATA" statement. "DATA" statement."DATA" statement. The error shows up here:
    <td>
    <htmlb:inputField id = "client"
    value = "<%= client %>" />
    </td>
    Then we added Client to the page attribute and define it as type String, then get another error:
    The field "EVENT" is unknown, but there is a field with the similar name "EVENT_ID"."EVENT_ID". This error shows up at the beginning in the Event Handler:
    OnInputProcessing:
    code
    • event handler for checking and processing user input and
    • for defining navigation
    • event handler for data retrieval
    event = cl_htmlb_manager=>get_event( runtime->server->request ).
    IF event->name = 'button' AND event->event_type = 'click'.
    button_event ?= event.
    How to resolve this unknown Event error, need to define in Page Attribute tab? but with what type?
    Actually we only want to run an ABAP4 program in BSP, the code is complicated, could you show us an easy way of doing this in BSP?

  • Incorporating transaction types from F-43 to FB60...urgent help !!

    Hey guys...i need urgent help...my client is upgrading from ECC.5 to ECC.6 and in process they will no longer be using F-43 . Now they want me to incorporate all the transaction types from F-43 to FB60. Can someone explain the process. Thanks in advance.

    Dear Stiffler,
    The Payment Method field (ZLSCH) is not controlled via field status.
    This field cannot be set to required in the standard functionality in
    FB60.
    It means that for Vendor document entry for "payment method",
    you can only achieve it by creating a validation rule at call-up
    point 2.
    Or You can insert it into a Payment Term by OBB8 and insert the Payment Term into Your vendor/customer master data.
    I hope this helps.

  • How to allow create different transaction type for different customer

    We are using CRM 7.0 now. We have two types customer, one is sap customer, the other is potential customer. We want to distinguish the two types customer. And user can create all transaction (for example: quotation, opportunity, activity) the sap customer. And the user only can create activity for  the potential customer, they can't create others transaction type for potential customer. How can we realize it? Thanks.

    Hi,
    We can make use of the BLOCKING REASONS to realize your requirement.
    A Blocking Reason can be assigned to the Business Partner role dependent data  and to the transaction type. A Business partner can be used in a transaction only if he is not assigned to this blocking reason.
    For Ex, In your scenario you can create a Blocking reason 'Not a SAP Customer ' and assign it to all the Potential Customers. You should assign the blocking reason to all the transaction  types which the potential customers should not be allowed.
    Hope it helps. Please let me know if you need further help.
