    Hi,
    Thanks everyone for the response.
Doc ID 975182.1 for EBS-OAM integration is being followed.
We've collected the HTTP  traffic but it shows the same 500 internal error and class cast exception. The deployed access gate also shows the same error when in debug mode.
    Any pointers would be helpful.
    Thanks.

  • OAM (10.1.4.3) Integration with WebLogic App Server (10.3.0 or below)

    Hi All,
Can I use OAM 10.1.4.3 (Authentication Provider & Identity Asserter) to implement SSO with weblogic App Server 10.3.0 or below?
OAM 10.1.4.3 Authentication Provider & Identity Asserter is the recommended way to configure SSO with Web Logic App server 10.3.1 ( Oracle Middleware 11g).
    And
OAM 10.1.4.2 uses WebLogic SSPI to configure SSO between OAM 10g and WebLogic App Server 10.3.0 or below.

    Hi,
This is how the integration goes with different versions of WLS and OAM.
There is oamAuthnProvider.jar available with OAM 10.1.4.3 downloads. So it provides the assertion functionality.
Can I use OAM 10.1.4.3 (Authentication Provider & Identity Asserter) to implement SSO with weblogic App Server 10.3.0 or below?
    Mahendra: Yes
OAM 10.1.4.3 Authentication Provider & Identity Asserter is the recommended way to configure SSO with Web Logic App server 10.3.1 ( Oracle Middleware 11g).
Mahendra: Yes, this is the recommended and easy approach.
OAM 10.1.4.2 uses WebLogic SSPI to configure SSO between OAM 10g and WebLogic App Server 10.3.0 or below.
Mahendra: Yes, older version of OAM uses SSPI connector installation.
    HTH.

  • OAM and MS Active Directory Integration on Non-Windows Server envrionment

I will start by saying that I am dealing with a heterogeneous environment here where multiple systems are run by different levels of management. Our Oracle systems chose to go all *nix (Oracle Solaris and Red Hat Linux) and hence we do not have a single Windows Server in our Oracle services area and would really like to keep it that way as we prefer to keep a uniform platform across our Oracle servers.  However, the desktop side of our department has chosen to use Microsoft Active Directory and now we wish to integrate and perform authentication against it for our OAM protected sites.  We are in the initial setup phase but we have no desire to implement a critical server such as OAM on the Windows platform and would rather tie OAM running on a Red Hat Linux server to Active Directory.  We will also be using OID as we run Portal but do not want to use it as our authentication authority for Oracle Products (local policy is that Active Directory is the only valid credential authority on site as we are moving to true Single Sign On across our desktops and web applications).  I have a few questions.
    1. Can it be done natively or would we have to run the Windows version of OAM?
    2. If you must run OAM on Windows to use AD for authentication, Is there some way to setup the Windows version of OAM as sort of an interface for our main OAM server running on Red Hat Linux to do the AD Auth?
    3. Can it be done using some sort of an interface such as Oracle Virtual Directory to interface with the LDAP interface to MS Active Directory?

    Hi David,
    Answers in-line
    1. Can it be done natively or would we have to run the Windows version of OAM?
You can run all of the OAM Servers on *nix, and simply point to AD as an OAM data source on the machine:port that AD is running on. There is no need for the OAM components to be on Windows.
    2. If you must run OAM on Windows to use AD for authentication, Is there some way to setup the Windows version of OAM as sort of an interface for our main OAM server running on Red Hat Linux to do the AD Auth
As above, this is not necessary.
    3. Can it be done using some sort of an interface such as Oracle Virtual Directory to interface with the LDAP interface to MS Active Directory?
Yes, this is entirely possible. Even though it is not necessary in your situation, it often provides more flexibility to front-end the user store with OVD, for example when adding/renaming Windows domains, or specifying specific branches for users and so on.
    Regards,
    Colin

    Any ideas?

    Hi,
Another way to "find" the URL for the oamconsole, that I use if I'm not familiar with the configuration I'm working on is to first log into the Adminserver WL Console, then go to "Deployments".
Then, find "oamconsole" in the Deployments listed (on the right).
Click on that, then on the next page, look for the "Testing" tab. Click on the "Testing" tab, which which show the /oamconsole app.
Click on the "+" to expand the tree, and you should see a bunch of different URLs on the right, e.g., if you have OAM console deployed to managed servers, etc., there'll be different URLs for those, etc., and you can just click on the links to open up OAM Console in your browser.

  • OAM 11g not starting

    Hi All,
I recently installed OAM 11g using following Steps:
    1. Installed 11g DB
    2. RCU utility for creating OAM repositories
    3. Installed WebLogic 11g
    4. Added OAM instances to the Weblogic Domain
    5. Launch Weblogic
5.1 Weblogic ADMIN console coming up without any issues: http://oam:7001/console
5.2 When I try to Launch OAM App from Weblogic console or CMD prompt (using command: startManagedWeblogic.cmd oam_server1 t3://oam:14001) I get the following error: OAM is not coming up:

Any suggestiongs on as to what might be causing this error?
Did I miss a step in OAM installation?
Thanks for your help in advance

I changed the port as per the doc 1384844.1 and I still get the same problem.

  • OAM WebLogic integration issue

    Hi
I have integrated portal application hosted on WebLogic with OAM using SSPI.
The integration is successful and the application is working fine but we see following Error message in the weblogic logs whenever user hits the Portal home page.
    <Dec 2, 2008 1:39:20 AM PST> <Error> <NetPointSecurityProviders> <700012> <Access system authorization failed for resource. Type [wl_authen], Name [Authen/Basic], Operation [LOGIN]. Reason - User's authentication level is insufficient for a requested resource.>
We see this message only when user is not authenticated before and hits Portal home page which also has Login portlet. Once user is authenticated and access any resource on the portal application, we do not see such error messages.
Has anyone faced this issue before? And what could be wrong with the integration?
    Thanks
    Kiran Thakkar

    Hi kiran,
U hve said tht u r successfull in integrating weblogic application server with OAM using SSPI
The same oly v are also trying to do but we are facing some issues:
    I'm using BEA weblogic8.1sp3,OAM10.1.4.0.1 and SSPI10.1.4.0.1
During instillation of SSPI i have selected the advanced instillation so the policies are automatically getting deployed in my OAM but after tht my weblogic is not able to start.
In the log file it is showing the following errors:

  • Urgent help in upgrading!

    Hi All!!
I have instaled Portal 7 SP 9 and I want to upgrade it to SP13, I have the .sca files for that. But I dont have the ones for Kernel and IGS.
My doubt is, in the Marketplace I see
Support Packages and Patches -->" SAP NetWeaver" --> SAP NETWEAVER" --> SAP NETWEAVER 7.0 (2004S) -->"Entry by Component" > Enterprise Portal>
    in Kernel 7.00 64-BIT UNICODE
then, I have two options: Windows Server on IA64 64bit --> MS SQL Server and Windows Server on X64 64 bit --> MS SQL Server
My OS is Windows Server 2003 on a Xeon(TM) processor and the computer is an IBM BC_ 8843 and my BD is MS SQL Server, so, What is the correct one??
Additionally, I want to know if there's no problem in upgrading Kernel from path 75 (is the one that is installed with SP9) to 114 (the lastest available) and IGS from patch 4 to 11, and after that to deploy the *.sca for SP 13.
    Thanks a lot!!!!
    is really urgent!!!!!
    Yolanda.

    Hi Yolanda,
I think that X64 64 bit will be correct (however, I also think that you will get prompted if this was the wrong choice).
    Regards,
    Holger.

  • Failure starting OAM Server

I am getting the following error at startup and I cannot figure exactly what the error is telling me. The error is at the bottom. Any help would be appreciated.

    Hi,
I'm also facing the same issue. (trying 11.1.4 Fusion Apps for Oracle Linux 64 bit)
I don't think it's JDK related nor permissions related as mentioned in the above given Note: 1279434.1
The error stack says it's Null pointer exception. from

         at oracle.security.am.engines.sso.adapter.OAMSessionConfiguration.<init>(OAMSessionConfiguration.java:52)
Any more suggestions ? Could you let us know how do we troubleshoot this issue.
fyi. oam_server1 (managed server) is up.
    oam_admin (11.1.1.3.0) application is Active
    but oam_server application is FAILED
I've also tried disabling IPV6 protocol as mentioned in 1471671.1

  • Error installing OAM against Sun Directory Server 6.3: No such object (32)

    Hi folks,
I'm getting error installing OAM 10.1.4.3.0 (Linux, 64 bit) against Sun Directory Server 6.3. I've followed Oracle troubleshooting doc (http://download.oracle.com/docs/cd/E15217_01/doc.1014/e12493/trouble.htm#BABBAAFH), and replaced every occurrence of cn=userRoot with cn=my_company_name inside iPlanet5_oblix_index_add.ldif. I still get the same error "ldapmodify: No such object (32)" for every entry in the file. Has someone managed to get it to work?
    Thank you, Roman

    Hi folks,
I got it to work, here're the steps:
    1. After loading the schema file, follow the article (http://download.oracle.com/docs/cd/E15217_01/doc.1014/e12493/trouble.htm#BABBAAFH, not the doc 552157.1 as it states incorrect info, sorry
Notoriuos) to edit the index file (iPlanet5_oblix_index_add.ldif) and replace all occurrences of "userRoot" with "your_company_name" (which is your ldap suffix without the c=us part as in
    o=your_company_name, c=us) using vi command:
    :%s/userRoot/your_company_name/g
    2. run ldapadd (not ldapmodify! as all but the one last object listed on the dn: line might already exist under cn=config), here's example:
    $ ldapadd -x -h your_ldap_host -p your_port -c -f IdentityServer_install_dir/identity/oblix/data.ldap/common/iPlanet5_oblix_index_add.ldif -D "cn=directory manager" -w directory_manager_passwd
    3. If done right, you should see smth like this:
adding new entry "cn=obactionname,............... per every entry in the index file
    HTH

  • OAM/WLS 10.3

Has anyone integrated OAM 10.1.4.2 and wls10.3? After completing the integration, I log in using the weblogic user. This web logic user and password is also in LDAP that OAM is authenticating against and it is the same password used for wls console. Now after the integration, I'm able to start the WLS server however, it seems that I'm no longer an administrator. I cannot make any changes via the console. Has anyone experienced this, any ideas?

  • I cannot publish a large Edge Animation as an .oam in Dreamweaver

The Animation is 135mb and I can see it OK in Edge. When I publish to an Animate Deployment Package it also arrives as expected - but when I insert it as an Edge Animation into Dreamweaver it does not pick up the height and the width - and when I change those dimensions in the property inspector - and then publish - it does not send anything to the server.
    Please help.

Hi both of you and Elaine,
I am fully aware how large the file is - I am not that naive.
It is a long time back since I sent this post - and it is also sorted a long time ago by putting it into an iFrame.
…but I understood that I from inside Edge Animation could export an .oam file and use it integrated in Dreamweaver. (I followed a tutorial from Edge Animate.) But it did not work and the only explanation that I can think of is the file size. ….but there was no problems using an iFrame - so why use an .oam at all?
    regards
