Urgent support by two simple requirements

Hello,
i need support by two simple requirements.
Can someone tell me, whether it is possible to realize these in context of SAP XI /SAP Web AS
Graph showing relationships between Tables, DB Spaces & OS File system?
(Yes/No)
Can all jobs and/or scripts be re-run after failure without risk to production data (i.e. stepwise recovery)?
(Yes/No)
Thank you very much!
Regards
A. Henke

Hi Axel,
As far as your first requirement is concerned we can do that in SAP WAS very well with the help of WebDynpro. You need to use Business Graphics for that purpose, see the following link for details,
/people/sap.user72/blog/2005/03/23/business-graphics-in-webdynpro
Well for the other one you need to use job scheduling in JAVA with the help of say Quartz or something like that so that you can run timely jobs.
I hope it helps you.
Best regards,
Guru.

Some disk formats don’t support the recovery partition required by encryption. To use encryption, reinstall this version of Mac OS X on a reformatted disk.
No 2. I can not activate Find My Mac service. It displays as follows :
Find My Mac requires a recovery partition
Some configurations, such as software or hardware RAID, do not support a recovery partition and can't be used with find my mac

Restart holding down the option/alt key and see if you have a Recovery Volume.

  • Muse file is damaged and cannot be opened...Urgent support needd...loss of 40 hrs work

I had worked on Muse file for over 40 hrs...Now I cannot open the file.
It says the file is damaged and cannot be openned.
    Urgent support needed!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Jennifer, thank you for sending the two files. They've created more questions than answers.
Neither file shows any signs of the type of damage that occurs when a drive is removed without being ejected. I feel quite confident that's not the cause in this case.
Unfortunately the nature of the damage is such that to understand it I'm going to have to spend a significant amount of time developing some custom foreinsics tools. At least a few days of focused development. Unfortunately at the moment I have a few high priority deadlines looming along with an approaching vacation, so it's going to be at least a couple weeks before I'm going to make any progress on that.
Without the results of those foreinsics but from what I've seen in the file the most likely cause is one of two things:
    1) Faulty hardware; or
    2) A bug in Muse.
Neither of those is likely, but those are the two most likely causes I can theorize.
    Faulty Hardware
From my experience on InDesign and now Muse I've come to realize hard drives fail far more frequently than most people realize. The fact that .muse (and InDesign) files are large means they cover more area on your hard drive and thus are more likely to be the first to encounter issues caused by a failing drive. The Muse file format is a database (as is InDesign's) that contains many many cross linked objects. If you save a large text file and one byte is scrambled the result is a misspelling in your text file and the word processor opens and displays the file fine. When one byte in a large image is scrambled odds are a single pixel will appear as the wrong color or transparency in your image editor. When a single byte in a database file is scrambled, it can break the interrelationship between objects and result in an unintelligible file to the application attempting to read it.
I recommend you run Disk Utility and any other hard drive verification software you might have to help rule out failing hardware.
    A Bug In Muse
This is the one I'll lose sleep over until I find time to do the forensics, assuming the forensics turn up something fairly conclusive. If the cause is a bug in Muse, it's going to have to be something very obscure that for whatever reason is radically more likely to occur on your computer or with your specific usage pattern of Muse, since it's exceptionally rare for someone to reach this error and not have a file with obvious signs of hardware failure, drive removal without ejection, folder sync software issues or multiple users simultaneously editing a file on a server.

  • Macbook Pro Retina (late 2013) and support for two external monitor

    Hi,
I have a Macbook Pro Retina 13" (Late 2013) and are looking to buy two DELL U2414 monitors. But after searching the web i´m a little bit confused if my MBPr will actually supports connecting two montors from one single Display port.
I will be using this montors at work where I use my MBPr with Windows7 (Paralllels).
I want to set up these two monitors with extended desktop not mirroring. The reason of using just one DP on my MBPr is that the other one is used by my wired ethernet connection. Will this work under OSX10.9.2 or 10.9.3?. Does my MBPr 13" support DP1.2a MST that is needed for daisy chain multiple monitors?

The hardware supports DP1.2 and MST but unfortunately at present OS X Mavericks does not.

  • Urgent: What ports should be required in DMZ zone?

    Hi,
I am thinking the ports question might need to posted here. Please have a look on my posting in the following link:
Urgent: What ports should be required in DMZ zone?
    Thanks and Regards,

    Thanks, Ravi.
The environment I am working now won't allow me to guess and test. We are on the project and to submit a change request would take very long. So I need submit all neccessary ports correctly at one time.
Could anybody give me any suggestion? I read the TCP/IP ports for SAP documentation. But I don't think it can answer my questions above.

  • Does LabVIEW support the SNMP (Simple Network Management Protocol)?

I looked at LabVIEW 2014 online help for some info on SNMP.
A problem was posted in 1996 and updated in 2008.
Does LabVIEW Support the SNMP (Simple Network Management Protocol)?
    http://digital.ni.com/public.nsf/allkb/4CD3625A939A77DE852564050047D3BD
This was addressed to LabVIEW version 4.
What version are we up to now?
    Version 14?
One solution offered was to get the SNMP VI from Viodia.
Why should I have to spend another $1,000 for a VI from Viodia after spending $5,000 for LabVIEW Professional?
Come on National Instruments, offer up SNMP to go with your professional package.
There seems to be a lot of chatter about SNMP on the forums.
I’m sure a lot of customers would be happy to have an official LabVIEW VI for SNMP.

I find it unreasonable to expect that LabVIEW supports out of the box every network protocol that has ever been invented under the sun. You may find SNMP to be the most important protocol on the world but for most programmers it is a niche protocol that they may have heard of but never will happen to come across in their applications. It's in fact pretty low level for a very specific purpose of managing network connected resources.
On the other hand it is not rocket science either so can be implemented by someone with enough determination on top of the native network interface functions in LabVIEW. Is it a lot of work? Yes, you bet! Is it worth 1000 bucks! If you really need it and your own work hours cost anything more than a few cents per hour, most probably too! If you can live with an implementation that is supporting many but not all features of SNMP, the link on LAVAG is a very good and nice one.

  • Comparing performance of two simple workbooks

    Hello guys,
i split one planning query with actual and budget columns into two separate queries (one shows only the actual columns, the other only the budget (entry-ready) columns). Then I created two simple workbooks, one with the large planning query in it and the other with the two separate queries on one sheet. Now I simply want to compare the performance of both workbooks against each other. How do I do this the easiest way? Do I need to install the technical content for this? I'm pretty new to performance measuring.
    Many Thanks in advance,
    Norbert

Ok, thanks for the quick response, that already helped me a lot. However, I'm still not sure how to read the statistics.  When I just want to measure the time the workbook needs for loading after I've connected and chosen it from the 'open workbook' dialog.  If I just open the analyzer, connect, open the workbook and then display statistics, three steps are shown with their result rows (see below):.
(Nav.) Step Counter     Event     Validity Period
    1     Not Assigned      0,735344
    1     RFC call      0,005681
    1     Read System Info.      0,013980
    1     Read Themes      0,000247
    1     User Interaction      0,000000
    1     Result      0,755252
    2     Bytes Transferred      0,000000
    2     Load Workbook      0,020858
    2     Not Assigned      1,972510
    2     Persist MIME      0,020032

    3     Result      0,162955
    Overall Result           30,264647
Which event times actually belong to the loading of the workbook? The whole step 2 or 3? Both together? or just the rows 'load workbook' or 'load local workbook' in step 2 or 3?

Hi, my current plans and products include Creative Cloud Photography plan (one-year) and Creative Cloud single-app membership for Photoshop (one-year), I only use photoshop occasionally and for very basic things, are these two plans required for basic photoshop use or am I able to go with one or the other ?

PS is part of the photography plan, so your single app plan is redundant.

  • VB6 NI-USB-9237 DAQmxCreateAIVoltageChan selected physical channel does not support the measurement type required

I have a VB6 program with code that properly reads analog inputs from an NI-USB-6008.
I tried to re-use the code for a strain-gage module NI-USB-9237, but at the DAQmxCreateAIVoltageChan step I get the following error:
"Measurements: Selected physical channel does not support the measurement type required by the virtual channel you are creating.
Create a channel of a measurement type that is supported by the physical channel, or select a physical channel that supports the measurement type."
Should I be calling a function other than DAQmxCreateAIVoltageChan?
If so, what is it, or where can I find the reference for such functions?
Or - if that is the right function, should I pass different arguments?  Currently I'm calling:
    DAQmxErrChk DAQmxCreateAIVoltageChan(taskHandle, "Dev1/ai1", "", DAQmx_Val_Cfg_Default, -10, 10, DAQmx_Val_VoltageUnits1_Volts, "")
Thanks in advance for your help

    Solved!
    Go to Solution.

I figured it out from 372251a.PDF
First, the correct function is DAQmxCreateAIVoltageChanWithExcit
Second, you can't just ask for one sample on one channel - ask for 2 samples instead.

  • HT3209 My Computer supports all of the requirements, plus I use Apple TV, iPhone4s, and the New iPad (dumb name by the way) and it still won't allow me to download HD Movies. What is wrong with this picture?

Why is that my PC supports all of the requirements for HD video but iTunes won't allow me to Download HD Movie. I am able to handle some of the most intense PC Games and I have HD movies Downloaded from previous versions of iTunes that work just fine. This is just stupid that iTunes thinks it knows my Computer's capibilities better than I do. Is there a way to change it?

    Hi,
At the top of any Buddy List it will show Your Name or your Handle (Screen Name)
This can be changed if you click on what is shown currently and it will become a drop down.
    Pic
The "Name" is taken from the Mac User Account that is logged in and the My Card in that Address Book.
So if this is your New Macbook Pro then Open the Address Book (Presumably there is only one Mac User account on this computer at the moment) and find the My Card (Head and Shoulders iCon)
Make sure the details are yours.
If the details are your brother's (Migrated info ?) then find your card and then go to the Card Menu and the option "Make this My Card".
When Adding and @mac.com name to iChat 6.x the server for the AIM login should read api.oscar.aol.com
The port likes to be port 443 with SSL ON  (See Sever Settings tab in iChat > Preferences > Accounts)
    Try it without SSL
NOTE:  Despite the Add screen saying @Mac.com the account can get listed in the Accounts List as a MobileMe account.
I would check that the original computer or the current one is not set to allow only one Login.

In power, yes, but I don't know the effect on the human ear.  Something is gnawing in the back of my mind that suggests that the human ear can compensate for a portion of the lost volume.

  • HT5219 What are the external monitor requirements that can support having two windows email and safari open side by side?

I have a 27" iMac at home that supports this but would like to see if I can enable my Macbook air to do the same thing.  I want to find out if this capability can be supported with my Macbook air and if so what are the monitor requirements.

Usually two causes of that, the first being the windows dpi scaling (most common cause) and the second being your graphics card driver needs to be updated.
Try playing with the windows dpi settings
Right click on your Desktop and select Screen Resolution
Then in the screen that comes up, click on Make Text or Other Items Larger or Smaller
Then move the slider under Change the Size of All Items to Smaller and restart windows 8
Also, you can try clicking on Let me choose one scaling level for all my displays, then click on Custom sizing options and drag on the rulers to set 149% and see if that is any better.
