Use Plan data if actual data is not available(By month)

Hello All,
We have a cube which stores the actual and plan data by month. There will be plan data for all the months of the year in the cube whereas the actual data is only populated for that month at the end of the month. So, there will not be any data for the rest of the months of the year.
QUESTION : Is it possible to create a bex query to show data by month with one key figure which should be Actual data if available in the cube or else the Plan data. I would be able to provide the last month where the data is available to the query in a form of a variable.

Hi,
in the row you put the month.
in column you have three keyfigures:
- restricted keyfigure r1 : amount with selection actual
- restricted keyfigure r2: amount with selection plan
- calculated keyfigure c1: (r1 ne 0) * r1 + (r1 eq 0) * r2
please test it. It's should be work.

You create one cube for plan data and create another cube for actual data.
Create a multiprovider and give comparision report. this is betterway.
Or you can also load actual and plan data in one cube but you need to maintain one character like version to seperate atual and plan data.This is not a good work.

Activity without date type "Actual Date"

Hi experts,
Does anybody use activities without date type "Actual Date"(000000000002)?
I created a new date profile and assigned it to a transaction type,
then warning message "Date type "Actual Date" does not exist in the activity
" (CRM_APPOINTMENT062) occurs.
The message was origninally created by note 428436.
The note describes "certain date types are required in the reporting and for the index update".
I don't know what is "the reporting and for the index update".
I'm afraid if something bad happens without the date type.

Hi,
Whenever activity (or any other one oder document) is created, an entry will be made in CRMD_ORDER_INDEX table. When system looks for the transactions, it first checks if a corresponding entry is there in this or not. That's why indexing is improtant for effective search to happen.
So the note means that in absence of Actual Date date type, system may lead to improper update of the index table and also reporting of activities may be affected.

This error message will appear erraneously, if you skipped the update to Mavericks and iPhoto 9.5.1 and went straight from an earlier MacOS X version to Yosemite, without first updating to iPhoto 9.5.1 and associating iPhoto to your AppleID.
Try first to buy iPhoto with your AppleID instead of updating. Delete iPhoto from Applications, but don't empty the Trash, then go to the main page of the App Store and search for iPhoto. If you are lucky, it will show as free and you can buy it directly.
If iPhoto is not showing as free, there is no help but contacting the App Store Support: Ask for a redemption code. You will need to provide a prove of purchase for your mac with iPhoto preinstalled.

Still it could not find the data network.it searches for voice network instantly and works too. but even full voice network available, there is no data network.when i restart the phone it could find data network.
Already i reset network settings for two times.

How Distinguish planning data and Actual data in a Planning cube

I want to dispaly planning data & actaul data in a query how can i do it?
in my query it is showing all the requests it is not distinguishing.

Well use infoobject 0VTYPE for actual and plan differentiation
and 0VERSION to categorise which version of Plan data it is,typically you might have different planning versions .
Example
0VTYPE = 10 actual
0VTYPE = 20 plan
0VERSION = 001
0VERSION = 002
0VERSION = 003
Business decides which 0version value to be taken as final planning version once freezed.0VTYPE = 10 for actuals is always one ,it do not have 0VERSION to be taken in to account.

The data aquisition sub.vis are not available on my toolbar.

I found a document that said that some options may not be loaded because of the DAQ board or other hardware that is installed. I was trying read the signal on my
board using AI Sample Channel.vi but it is not available in the toolbar. Is this not the way you would do it with this board? This is the way the manual states to do it. I'm simply trying to
connect my VI to my DAQ board. I've used the channel naming conventions.
How do I get the data into my VI?
I've tried to reinstall the software, and install the missing parts but I get 'error 1605' while reloading the software.

I was wondering if you are able to see the Data Acquisition subpalette in your functions palette. The AI Sample Channel.vi should be in this palette if it shows, if it doesn't you may have to reinstall NIDAQ. Make sure that you unistall all previous versions of NIDAQ on your machine from Control Panel-Add/Remove programs before you try to reinstall it.
The error your are getting 'error 1605' is an out-of-space error. Check to see you have enough space on the machine and make sure you do not have multiple copies of the software on your machine.

Using PSE8 and PE8 - folder survey service not available

I used PSE2, 4 and 5. Hoping that PSE8 would have been inproved and rid of all old problems I bought PSE8. Much more of 100 crashes have been observed.
1st problem:
I am not at all happy, as the burning of DVD's even after buying PE8 is not solved. HP Laptop is asking for CD; even als DVD have been standard for a long time.
2nd problem:
The error message, after using the command DATEI/ORDNER UBERWACHEN 'der ordnerüberwachungservice ist nicht verfügbar' translation: THE FOLDER SURVEY SERVICE IS NOT AVAILABLE. The result is, that I have to use the command 'erneut verbinden', translation LINK AGAIN several time which is very time consuming. The folder survey service would reduce this to a minimum.
3rd problem:
How can I influence PE8, to give out the shows exactly as made in the PSE8 and not all slides in one standard duration and the way to present them (only one shutter mode). I don't want to make Videos but photo shows, but I am forced to use PREMIERE ELEMENTS to burn a CD, even as I prefered to have a DVD or BLUE RAY disc.

I tried choice 1 and 2. My computer is able to read and write discs (in
other programms) so I assume the bruner is o.k.
Unfortunately without any succes. I have to re-install PSE8 as there seems
that one file is not installed on my computer, further I have to re-install
PE8, due to the fact that at the time of installation, not the full
programm has been placed in the same folder.
Is there any advice from your side, which one of the two should be
installed first. (Acc. to John R. Ellis you would be the specialist to
answer this question). Thanks in advance.

to burn a DVD, with the format given by PE8, just to have a secure copy of
my diashows.
Procedure PE8: Files selected in PSE8, as mentioned above into PE8.
DISTRIBUTER: I have selected DVD.Then started the buring prozess. Programm
saying: CODING AND BURNING, after 13 hours, the process was over, but
without any files on the DVD or any message, that something went wrong.
(About 2.7 GB of datas)
Tonight, after an other trial, I got the message, after about a quarter of
an hour after start, saying that not the complete programe was in same file.
I thinks I have to re-install PSE8 and PE8 due to the fact that:
1)      folder survey service is not working (PSE8)
2)      No DVD can be burnt (PSE8 PE8)
3)      PE8 wants that the complete programm to be in the same folder. I
just hope that when I de-install this programm, everything will be removed.
4)      PSE8, when I log-in under an other user name (on the same computer),
no command lines is shown, just a dot, but I know now, that there the
different commands are hiden.
Since starting to sort out about 5'000 pictures in December I made a lot of
reports to ADOBE, as generated by the software with many comments, made some
E-mails and talked to technicians on the phone. But these to programs are
still not working properly.
Now to my main question. As I have to re-install these two programms, does
it matter which one is installed first. I thank you for an early reply.

Time Machine - using multiple drives when the first is not available

Hello I have been succussfully using Time Machine with my USB external drive. I have been connecting it to my MacBook Air from time to time. Manual backups as well as the hourly backups when the drive has been connected worked without any problem.
Recently, I connected Synology DiskStation (NAS) to my network and I have added it to the list of drives in my Time Machine setup. When my original external drive (first in the list) is not connected to my MacBook the hourly backup is not initiated by the Time Machine at all. Manually started backup is runnign fine without any problem.
The external drive is annotated with exclamation mark in Time Machines list with "not available" error - and it seems that this is causing the interruption of automatic hourly backup to any drive.
Is there any way how to debug Time Machine? Or to get some logs of Time Machine?
Any similar experience with multiple drive backup when the first of them is disconnected most of the time...?

Perhaps you should address this to Synology's tech support. Apple doesn't provide any support for third-party NAS, so your best bet is with Synology.

I show 5 full 3G bars but data is either SLOW or not available for iphone 4

I am having 3G data problems in Parkersburg WV, specifically the downtown tower. It will show 5 full 3G bars out in the middle of the parking lot or in a building and the 3G data is either VERY SLOW or says cannot connect. Edge is way faster, at least 20 times faster. We both have the new iphone 4, and 3gs users I talk to are having no problems. What is strange is it is only the one tower/location, every other place we go it works perfect. I had a ticket in and they looked at the tower and said it was fine, and they went ahead and reset it anyways and we are still having the problem. Apple says it is not an issue with the phone since it works on every other tower, and AT&T says its not their problem because they show nothing wrong and other non-iphone 4 owners have no problem. Any thoughts? I have tried the SIM, hard restart, turning off wifi and blu-tooth, having AT&T re-establish my iphone to their system and last but not least restoring the iphone to factory. If anyone gets anything to work please post.

Start Firefox and homepage is not displayed; cannot navigate back to previously viewed pages using back or forward arrows; bookmarks toolbar not available on start-up though selected in options menu.

1. Start firefox and my homepage is not displayed--there is no webpage displayed on initial startup. A homepage is listed in the options menu. In order to see homepage I need to manually press the home icon to the right of the search box.
2. I am not capable of using the navigation arrows to the left of the address bar to navigate to previously viewed webpages. The arrows are present but are gray. Is there a setting in the security tab of the options menu that disables the navigation arrows for security purposes (i.e. not remembering webpages or cookies, etc.)?
3. Though the bookmark toolbar is selected in the options menu, the bookmarks toolbar is not visible when starting firefox. Instead there is a red firefox toolbar located at the upper left of the screen. In order to view the bookmarks toolbar I need to go into the options menu and de-select the bookmarks toolbar (causes the red firefox toolbar to disappear) and then re-select the bookmarks toolbar.
Any information to help correct these issues is greatly appreciated.

Restarted Firefox with add-ons disabled (help->restart with add-ons disabled). Removed ''Facebook Disconnect'' from add-ons. Restarted and everything seems to be working.

Show Default Image when actual Image is not available

The Customer is using BI Publisher to generate a Report with the Inventory Item Details. This report also shows an Image of the Item. These Image files are stored in a different server.
We are able to dynamically show the Image based on the Item Numbers using the URL{} tag.
We are facing an issue when there is an Item when there exists an Item with no corresponding Image File. The PDF is generated without any image. In such cases, the requirement is need to display a Default Image showing "NO IMAGE".
During XML Extraction, we do not know whether the Image file is available in the server.
How do we handle this specific requirement.
Any assistance is highly appreciated.

Having raised a service request with Oracle, it would seem that this is not possible -
"Unfortunately, In the BIP core, there is no functionality to test that a file ( containing an image ) exists or not ."
The problem I have is that the URL referencing the image is concatenated and includes the XML item for a reference number. That reference number, and therefore the XML item, is always available but the image that corresponds to it is not - so I can't test for a null or false return because BI Publisher does not recognise the concatenated string of the url as having a returned value.
This would be a problem if the layout options in Word were more flexible (better) - being able to add an image to the background of a table or cell would have solved my problem but, sadly, that is not possible in the version of Word I'm using (2003). I'm not sure whether it's possible in newer versions though?
