Unable to access OWA or ECP. - "Something went wrong" or "500 unexpected error"
Our environment consist of 3 client access servers with 8 mailbox servers. I recently installed windows updates on all of the servers. Now when a user tries to access OWA it fails and says "Something went wrong" when I try to access
ECP I receive "500 unexpected error"
I have tried building a new CAS and mailbox servers with the default settings but it still fails. I did not install the latest Windows updates on the new servers. I tried creating new databases with new users and it also fails.
There are also these ASP.NET 4.0.30319.0 warnings showing in the application log:

</Event>I opened a case with Microsoft. After 3 days and over 15 hours on the phone they were able to resolve the problem. They had to use ADSI edit to remove the canary data for the domain.
I tried rebuilding the virtual directories, building a new CAS server, a new mailbox server and a new server with both roles installed. I created a new database and new users in that database and used the new CAS server but the problem continued which
led us to believe it was something being obtained from Active Directory. We finally figured out the problem was in the properties of an object in ADSI.
You have to open the ADSI editor on the primary domain controller (start-->administrative tools-->ADSI edit), go to CN=Services --> CN=Microsoft Exchange --> CN=<Your Site Name> Right click CN=Client Access and click properties.
Scroll down to msExchCanaryData0. You have to click edit and copy the data from Data0, Data1 and Data2 (you may have more or less) to a notepad file. Then erase the data from those settings. Now log onto the CAS server and open IIS management.
Go to application pools and right click MSExchangeOWAAppPool and click Recycling. Then restart all of the mailbox servers.
It's a great idea to take a system state backup before performing these steps as editing ADSI data is risky. -

Need to know how can i troubleshoot this further?
Regards
MaheshI would do the troubleshooting in following sequence.
1. Put a wired PC on to the vlan allocated for WLAN1
2. Check whether wired PC gets an IP & can browse internet
3. If that works, then we know no issue of DHCP & not issue with L3/NAT routing to access internet
4. If step2, does not work then your issue is not within wireless, you have to change the focus of your troubleshoot.
5. If step2 works, then test a wireless client with OPEN Authentication (No ACS involvment). If this does not work, then it means wireless client does not get proper IP connectivity. Check dynamic interface configuration for this WLAN & make sure gateway addresses correctly configured. Also VLANs are trunk across to WLC from switch.
6. If step5 works, then try your client with ACS & see the client get successfully authenticated. If not it may be WLC to ACS issue. Troubleshoot that in that case.
Do some troubleshooting like this & let us know the outcome. I am sure you will abe to find out the issue easily in this way.

Windows Users Unable to Access SL Server
I am attempting to have Windows clients access the SL server as AD users. I have AD/OD configured in a Magic Triangle with 10.5 and 10.6 clients being managed properly and accessing everything normally. smb services are enabled, all users and groups appear to have access according to Server Admin but I cannot login to the SL server as an AD user from a W2K machine. I'm probably missing something obvious, so I apologize for any ignorance on my part. Any ideas on how to gain access under Windows are welcome.
Hi
As per the information and details provided by you, to access OWA in Exchange 2007, please follow these steps: -
Open
Active Directory users and computers.
Click on the
View, and then click Advanced Features.
Note:
To make the
Security tab available at both the user level and the organizational unit level, You must enable the Advanced features option in Active directory Users & Computers.
This option will be available in the
View tab.
Open the properties for both the user level and the organizational unit level that the users are located in, and then locate the
Security tab.
Click on the
Advanced.
Make sure that the following check box is selected:
Allow inheritable permissions from the parent to propagate to this object and all child objects. Include these
with entries explicitly defined here.
Force Active Directory replication.
I hope this information will be helpful for you.
Thanks and regards

User unable to access Leave Request in Portal
Hello guys,
A user can't access the leave request via Enterprise Portal 7.0 - the view works perfectly with the other users thus the issue seems to be isolated to this particular user. IE version being used is IE 6.0 - so that shouldn't be the cause of the problem. Also, the roles have been cross-checked and synchronized with the other users who are able to access the Leave Request function. Yet, it appears the roles are correctly assigned
Could it be possible that this is a problem with the user's data? Which component should I also look into?
Thank you in advance!
Regards,
JanAs for the IE patch problem, we're conducting an http-trace to check with this. But I see this as very unlikely, since the user also tried accessing it via a different workstation but the problem persists.
The 'resolution' for similar cases was to recreate a user account - even just a direct copy of the same user works. This could be an SAP application bug perhaps? The target is for a long term fix to the problem.
Thanks!

MikeHi Rohan,
Are you saying to replace "nat (any, any)" with "nat (inside, outside)"? I was wondering about this because I'd always done "nat (inside, outside)" but a colleague had performed the initial configuration which already contained "nat (any, any)" statement and I was not sure if this was just something new in 8.3.1. I also noticed the "global" command is no longer available.
I will give this a try. Thanks.

Exchange 2013 Sp1 some users cant access owa
After I install new exchange 2013 with sp1 on windows 2012 R2 server one for mail boxes and the second Client Access, i move all mail boxes to it, then i uninstall the old server (exchange 213 with cu3).
All may exchange server’s virtual machines on hyper-v 2012R2
I install certificate and configure virtual directories
I notice some users can’t open there mail boxes from OWA they get a blank page after the enter username and password (from internal and external) (the same users can open outlook anywhere) at the same times many users can access owa.
After many restarts they can access OWA.
After some days some other users can’t access owa.
I remove ECP and OWA virtual directories, Then Recreate and configure it.
But the same problem some users cant access owa
I install a new client access server, configure it
But the same problemHI
YOu can check below things to resolve the problem
Disable SSL from Default Web Site if you have enabled them
Check if you have set any redirection in the Default Website if so remove redirection and see the results
Ensure that you have a valid certificate for owa VD
check correctly the authentication type - windows authentication is enabled or if you have form based authentication enabled
Below is an example for enabling WA
set-Owavirtualdirectory -identity "servername\owa (Exchange Back End)" -WindowsAuthentication $True -Basicauthentication $false -Formsauthentication $false
Set-EcpVirtualDirectory -Identity "servername\ecp (Exchange Back End)" -WindowsAuthentication $true -FormsAuthentication $false

Restriction user to access owa outside the organization

if possible please suggestHi,
Based on my research, we can block selected Users external OWA access by change the files
startpage.aspx and basicmessageview.aspx

Static NAT causes unable to access server via internal IP
Hi all,
Need some help. I running site-to-site IPsec VPN in Cisco 2811 IOS 12.4 both site. Here I encounter a problem to access server on Site A from Site B
Site A having Leased Line connected to router with Public IP. I have done static mapping 1 web server to Public IP (NAT). This to allow external users to access the server via Public IP. At the same time, users at Site B would need to access to same server via Internal IP since they have Site-to-Site VPN established. But once I done Static Mapping (NAT), user at Site B unable to access the server at Site A using its internal IP. But external user can access server via Public IP. What went wrong here. Do i need to add extra command to get this done? We really need this.Hi sheik,
I'm accessing the server form Site B using its server's LAN IP.
If I remove the static NAT statement from my router at Site A, everything works well. I can access the server from site B using its LAN IP via Site-to-Site VPN. But in this case, external users unable to access server via Public IP since no Static NAT statement. -
Reporting Studio - user unable to open new or existing reports
Hi All,
I have a user unable to access reports since migration to Production application. He had no problem in Development. Oracle support checked all our settings, installation, configuration, etc and concluded that it was simply his computer and they could do nothing to fix it? Before we rebuild his machine for no reason, has anyone else had this issue? The error reads "Failed to connect to server" with the details "Error connecting to database connection xxPRODXX: Server/Cluster is incorrectly configured. Since support validated our configuration, that message doesn't seem to be right.
Thanks,
RogerGood question Kelly and No - the support rep checked the registration, but we didn't unregister/reregister and now that you mention it, I think we had a similar issue in Development and that may have been the fix. So we'll try that now. Thanks!

New created user cannot access OWA
I have a sporadic issue with some new users. As we migrate folks to Exchange, some new accounts created are unable to access their mailbox via OWA (or their personal device). It just keeps responding "The username or passowrd you entered
isn't correct. Try entering it again.".
They never successfully log on (although some have after a few days). I've verified that they have the correct security.
Any ideas?Try checking the OWA and ActiveSync policies, and comparing to a user that is known to work:
Get-CASMailbox "<mailbox name>" | Select-Object Name,ActiveSyncEnabled,ActiveSyncMailboxPolicy,OWAEnabled,OWAMailboxPolicy -
User Preference Panes dimmed, unable to access...
I am "in charge" of our network which consists of 10 PowerMac G5s, an XServe and XRAID. We are currently running 10.4.6 throughout.
We are adding some WACOM tablets to a couple stations, but I have been unable to access the WACOM preference pane in the system preferences. The WACOM software creates a new row below the "System" row, and adds it's preference pane. When logged in as a user this pane is visible, but dimmed out. When I log in as root the preference becomes available, and I am able to tune the tablet.
I have used the latest driver, and have installed / uninstalled a few times. I have installed as root, and as a user with identical results as above.
The Workgroup Manager has NOT been configured to manage user preferences; there are three options that I see, "Never", "Once", and "Always"- "Never" is selected.
I am looking for a way to make the WACOM pane available to the user. Any thoughts?
Thanks!Tried Repairing Permissions on the machine after installation?
I would have thought that installing as Root would be a bad idea (might cause permissions problems). An 'admin' user should be sufficient. Do 'plain' users have any restrictions set on them in their Accounts preferences?
It doesn't sound like it has anything to do with the server though, (if you are not using managed preferences). If you get no joy here (server forum) you might want to try the genera Tiger forum area.

Concurrent users unable to open a shared Microsoft Access MDB database
I have a share on a Cisco NSS2000, the NSS is in Workgroup mode (Firmware 1.13).
Every user have read/write rights on this share.
When I try to open an access MDB database from this share it happens that only a single user at time can open the database.
The second user that try to open the database get a "Cannot lock file" error message.
So, when a user has the Access DB opened, no-one other can open (or connect to) the same DB.
It's impossible to open the DB using the access IDE ("Cannot lock file" error message).
It's impossible to make multiple connection to the DB using OleDB ("Cannot lock file" error message).
I've tried give full access to the mdb file.
I've tried give full access to the mdb folder.
I've even tried to give full access to the temporary LDB file.
I always get the same error message.
Is there a workaround?
Thanks, MaxI've finally been able to update the firmware to the latest 1.16.
Now everything works fine, problem solved! :)
