Using Namoroka x64 some pages that should have a white background are red
I'm using the beta version of Namoroka x64 and some pages that should have a white background, have a red background. The 32 firefox does not have this issue with the same page.

Trying a txt file on the hard disk gives the same result
Opening in the side bar is the default for bookmarks that are created via a link or button on a website.<br />
You can check the Properties of a bookmark via the right-click context menu in the side bar (Ctrl+B; Cmd+B on Mac).<br />
In the Bookmarks Manager (Bookmarks > Organize Bookmarks) you can click the More button in the Details pane at the bottom right.<br />
Make sure that "Load this bookmark in the side bar" is not selected.

On your iPad - go to Settings>Mail, Contacts, Calendars>Load Remote Images>On. Try that first.
You can also try a reset. Reset the iPad by holding down on the sleep and home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider - let go of the buttons.
Quit the mail and all other apps. Go to the home screen first by tapping the home button. Quit/close open apps by double tapping the home button and the task bar will appear with all of you recent/open apps displayed at the bottom. Tap and hold down on any app icon until it begins to wiggle. Tap the minus sign in the upper left corner to close the apps. Restart the iPad. Restart the iPad by holding down on the sleep button until the red slider appears and then slide to shut off. To power up hold the sleep button until the Apple logo appears and let go of the button. -

The usual problem is the creation of an anamorphic 16:9 file and either losing the internal flag/aspect settings or displaying the file on a media player that does not correctly use the display information embedded in the file. Physically splitting/trimming anamorphic source files in iMovie rather than splitting/trimming the source content by reference can throw away the anamorphic settings/flag when the content is re-written to the hard drive, incorrectly creating a non-anamorphic file from an anamorphic source, or incorrectly creating an anamorphic file from a non-anamorphic source can all produce your problem. To know what is happening, you will either have to provide more details regarding your workflow or provide an sample clip for examination. In some cases, depending on the video compression format involved and the target media player, the problem can be fixed without having to re-compress the file. -
I am trying to confirm the time at which a particular backup occurred using an external hard drive that I have since misplaced. Although time machine lists the backup times for some backups, it does not list them for all, including the one in question. Can someone help?
Okay, I've sussed it. I saw a link to another discussion that hadn't turned up in any of my searches before I posted the question above.
My Tosh HDD was formatted to FAT 32 and therefore would not be backed up by Time Machine. I removed all data from it - nightmare as I hadn't enough space to put it on the macbook HDD, but, after trawling through numerous photos and deleting rubbish for hours, I finally made enough space and copied all data across. Then, after clearing the data from the Tosh HDD, I used disk utilitity to reformat it to Mackintosh OS Extended. Chose the option without kournalling because I'm not baking up onto this disk and so don't need it - according to some other discussions I found.
When it was done I check on time machine in system prefs and once I selected options, I was able to remove it from the excluded from backups list. Hey presto. Now I'm moving my photo library and my music library onto the Tosh HDD and my macbook should start to breath again. Hurray. -

Try opening a terminal window (Applications >> Utilities). At the prompt, enter:
>sudo SystemStarter restart CiscoVPN
This will ask you for the admin password and it will restart the Cisco client service. That should fix it. This seems to be a known issue that will eventually be solved with some updates.

Most of the time, when I hit a link, it opens but tabs with ads or pages that I didn't ask for are opening also and they come up on top. I have to dump them to get to the link I originally hit. How can I stop this from happening? It's so irritating and they take a while to come up before I can close them. Note: I use Firefox for Mac OS
You can stop that behavior by changing two settings within the browser. Go to Tools -> Options and click on the CONTENT button. Make sure that "Block pop-up windows" is checked. Then click on the ADVANCED button on the far right and add a check to "Warn me when websites try to redirect or reload".
That should stop most of them. If not all, then you could install AdBlock Plus add-on, since most of the redirects are ad generated. (Tools -> Add-ons -> Get Add-ons) -
I would like to make an in app purchase using the $20.00 credit that I have on itunes. I am using my i phone5. It does not give me the option of using the credit that I already have, only of using a credit card. How can I use the credt that I already have instead of a credit card?

A 6 hour installation that should have only taken 30minutes!! Very unhappy customer!!
I am very upset about a recent purchase I made at your store. I bought a fridge (an open box item) and it was going to be delivered on Friday, March 28. The delivery guy (Jake) came at about 10:30 and hauled away our old fridge and brought in the new fridge BUT then the trouble began. Jake said that the hose part we bought won’t fit the waterline and we need an adapter (looks like the size of a nut or washer – just a little part) I asked him if he had this part on the truck and he said he doesn’t carry parts on the truck and told me I need to go to town (I live 30 miles out of town!) and go to the store and get the part – I was a little confused because he was supposed to be installing the fridge. I didn’t know much about the fridge so I said ok, what would I need to tell them and he said tell them you need an adapter that is 3/4” to a 1/2”. So he kinked my waterhose and put a bucket underneath it but it still dripped a little bit so I hurried to town (it is about 11:30 now) to Best Buy to get the adapter and the guy in the appliance area didn’t know what I was talking about so they called Jake and he told the Best Buy employee what I needed and the employee said they don’t carry that part….. so I went to Lowes and they didn’t know what I needed because it didn’t make sense to them that I would need a 3/4” to a 1/2” adapter. I then went to Menards and talked to the appliance department and then they didn’t know so I was sent to the plumbing department and the lady was very nice there but she also didn’t think it made sense that I needed a 3/4” to a 1/2” adapter because waterlines are usually 1/4”. So I called up Best Buy while still at Menards and they had Jake (the delivery /installer) talk to the lady at Menards and explain to her what I needed so he told her the same thing – I needed a 3/4” to a 1/2” adapter. She said that the only thing they would have is 2 options a 3/4” to 1/2” adapter or 1/2” to 1/2” adapter (they both looked like the size that would fit a garden hose!! I didn’t think that was right but that is what Jake from Best Buy – the delivery /installer guy told the lady at Menards. So I bought those 2 parts and raced back home because now it was 1:30pm in the afternoon after running around for 2 hours looking for an adapter that Jake said I needed. I got home and was immediately livid!! The two parts were what I thought TOO BIG! Both ends were only 1/4”! So I called Best Buy again and talked to Mike (I didn’t get a last name) he was very nice and tried to be helpful . I explained what happened from the beginning (around 10:45am till now 1:30pm) and told him this is outrageous I am missing a whole day of work because of this when I could have been to work by 11:30am if Jake did this correctly. I told him I can text him photos of everything 1) The end of the water line 2) the end of the fridge 3) both ends held up together 4) each end by a tape measure to show it was only 1/4”. He said that would be very helpful so he game me his number and I texted the photos to him and I got a call 2 minutes late and he said “umm… I am so sorry for the inconvenience but all you need is an adapter for a female end to a make end and they have those parts on their trucks”, I asked if he was being serious because it was around 2:30pm now and I still don’t have my fridge installed! Mike said he would call Jake and tell him to get to our house and put the waterline on with the part from his truck. Mike called back after talking to Jake and he said that Jake was in Crookston, MN for a delivery but would come right back to our house as soon as he was done. Jake got to our house around 3:30pm and came in and I showed him the parts that I bought that HE told the lady at Menards I needed. He said he didn’t know what to do. I told him I talked to Mike at Best Buy and he said you have the part on your truck. He said he would go look. He came back in (sure enough) with the part!!! He connected the waterline to the fridge and it was done (Literally 10 minutes) and left around 4:15pm. I am so disgusted with the incompetence of your delivery guy/installer, for something that should have taken a total of 1/2 hour or less. My fridge should have been delivered and installed and I should have been on my way to work by 11:00am to 11:30am. Instead I spend a whole day running around and make numerous phone calls that were NOT NECESSARY. Then I tried to call the store and explain about what happened but Nichole – said she was the Home Sales Manager, said there was nothing the store could do and didn’t even acknowledge the incompetence of the installer and she didn’t even attempt to resolve this issue. I have make attempts to get this matter resolved but have not received ANY responses, I am hoping someone will respond to this message?!?

I’m positive you were excited to receive your new refrigerator, and expected the installation to go smoothly. Our installers should be knowledgeable in their field, and able to troubleshoot issues such as you described. It’s truly regrettable that Jake may not have known which part you needed, and sent you on a trip across town to look for a part that was unnecessary.
After running from store to store only to find that the part needed for your refrigerator was in the installer’s truck, I can imagine how frustrated you would be, as I would be infuriated if I were in your shoes. While I’m glad to hear that Mike was able to get things resolved with just a few pictures, I apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused you.

When reading my book on iBooks, I encounter duplicate pages for many pages then it skips the pages that should be there so I am missing large parts to chapters, is this a "bug" in the book or app? How can this be fixed?
Does the same thing happen on any other books that you have in the app ? If not then it's probably just that one book, in which can you could try deleting the book and re-downloading it - if it re-downloads in the same state then try the 'report a problem' from your purchase history :http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1933

i used an apple account of a friend to download apps to my iphone, the account then closed, now when i tried to update apps i download it from my account or i buy it using my account, its says that i have to put the password of my friend account, and if i want to update any app i downloaded or buy from my i have to delete it and download it again.
what can i do??As far as I know you should be prompted for the password for an account that 'owns' one of the apps that requires updating.
If all of the apps with updates are linked to your account and that is the account that is now logged in, then you could try a reset and see if that helps : press and hold both the sleep and home buttons for about 10 to 15 seconds (ignore the red slider), after which the Apple logo should appear - you won't lose any content, it's the equivalent of a reboot. -
I erased my windows partition using disk utility then realized I should have used boot camp, because now I can't resize the original partition and seem to be stuck with a ghost unusable space. Boot Camp now doesn't give me the option to install or remove windows partition.

The problem is that I did erase the partition, using disk utility, but I can't go back to my original disk size pre-partition, as disk utility won't let me do it and gives the message "Couldn’t modify partition map because file system verification failed." When I try to use Boot Camp Assistant it won't let me select the third option to remove windows. -
