Using Templates to get feet wet....mine are blank but work?

OK, when I open templates and look at a template it has images in it before I select it, once I select it, it goes grey and I am to replace the layers with my own images.
I'm just wondering, for example.....
In the template Weave-Open it shows a lot of musicians, three fades (cross wipes) and when I open it my project is grey..
So I can see what it is REALLY doing, is there a way to open the template as it is in the VIEW/PLAY preview bar before you open/select it so that all the graphics load onto the template?

I believe the preview is just a rendered clip with sample images. The images present in the preview are not included in the Motion content.

In my iPhoto library, only some images appear as thumbnails. The rest are blank but appear briefly when scrolling through or properly when double clicked. Any ideas?

Option 1
Back Up and try rebuild the library: hold down the command and option (or alt) keys while launching iPhoto. Use the resulting dialogue to rebuild. Choose to Rebuild iPhoto Library Database from automatic backup.
If that fails:
Option 2
Download iPhoto Library Manager and use its rebuild function. This will create a new library based on data in the albumdata.xml file. Not everything will be brought over - no slideshows, books or calendars, for instance - but it should get all your albums and keywords back.
Because this process creates an entirely new library and leaves your old one untouched, it is non-destructive, and if you're not happy with the results you can simply return to your old one. .

The original image files are missing form your iPhoto library or iPhoto cannot find them, because the link to the originals has been broken. The image info is stored in the internal libraries, independent of the original files. That is, why you are still seeing them.
I restored the whole library from my backup.
Try restoring from an older backup, from before you first noticed the problem.
How large is the library, that you restored? Is the file size large enough to hold all your photos, or has the size been reduced? If the library is still large, the photos may still be inside, even if iPhoto cannot find them.

What happened, before your iPhoto library got deleted? Which applications have you been running, or which new software have installed or upgraded? Have you moved the library to a different disk or tried to use it from different user account or access it over the network?

Templates are blank now, worked before...

All of a sudden when I open Pages the templates are blank. When I click on one of the blank templates, I get an error message. I just moved accross country and my disks are packed somewhere that I can't easily get to. I have the retail license code for my software, but don't know what I can do. Any suggestions??? I don't want to have to spend another 80 bucks on this program, but I need it asap. Why would this happen and what can I do? Any suggestions will help

The message simply says "The template "blank document" could not be opened"...it says the same thing for each template I try to open, such as "The template "evalutation document" could not be opened". Keynote works just fine, but Pages doesn't work at all. I can open up an old pages document that I saved and use it to just type a basic letter, but can't open a new document at all. I'm just trying to open new documents to create a newsletter. I guess I'll most likely have to go to an apple store and explain this to them.

PDF documents are blank but epub documents are not

I have an install of ACS 4. Installed on the following.

I have a production license and I am able to fulfill books - both epub and PDF.
However, when I attempt to download/view the books in Adobe Digital Editions, the PDF files are blank. I should mention that the PDF files that are blank, are PDFs that I grabbed from public domain sites (archive.org). The epub documents that I grabbed from the same source, work find in Adobe Digital Editions.
I would also add that the sample books that are included with Adobe Content Server work just fine. So, I am to assume that there is something 'wrong' with the PDFs that I have.
Anyone see this before? Anyone know where I could look for answers?

Digital Editions supports essentially the PDF/A profile (plus some extras see the FAQ at http://www.adobe.com/products/digitaleditions/faq/ for the full list). The most commonly noticed thing that is missing compared to the current PDF 1.7 spec is JPEG2000 support.
What happens when you view these files in Digital Editions before your package them?

All photos show up in album, but a few are blank (but numbered in order) when clicked on

I have an iPhone 4s that is up-to-date on updates. Just a few days ago, I went to "Photos" to show someone a particular photo in one of my albums. (The photo had been taken long ago, not with my iPhone, but with my regular camera, and had been transferred to my phone from my computer. Everything had always worked correctly.) When I clicked on that particular photo in the album, what came up was a blank white screen, with only the proper numbering (ex. 23 of 50) and "Edit" at the top of the screen and the "send to" symbol at the bottom of the screen. I tried to "edit," but the edit screen was frozen. Any thoughts on this?

If the photos are still in your computer, I would recommend using the iTunes sync feature to remove the photos from your iPhone and then sync them back on. Please use the following article as a reference on photo syncing if you need it.

IPhoto thumbnails are blank, but maximized photo shows up.

I had to power of my iMac while iPhoto was uploading some photographs. When I turned it back on, iPhoto prompted me to restore the library. I said yes. Now the thumbnails aren't appearing, and when you double click a photo to maximize it, it briefly shows up with the grey yeild "!" icon and then the photo shows up, but the thumbnails are still grey. Is there a fix for this?

Try the following:
1 - launch iPhoto with the Command+Option keys held down to open the First Aid window.
2 - Run Option #2, Rebuild Thumbnails. It could take more than one pass to get the job done.

Some parts of DAA.IE website e.g. Site ID and footer are fine, other parts e.g content area are blank but all are ok in IE8

Above happens on all DAA web pages and all are ok in IE8. I have not noticed it on any other websites.

* "Clear the Cache": Tools > Options > Advanced > Network > Offline Storage (Cache): "Clear Now"
* "Remove the Cookies" from sites that cause problems: Tools > Options > Privacy > Cookies: "Show Cookies"
Start Firefox in [[Safe Mode]] to check if one of the add-ons is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Tools > Add-ons > Themes).
* Don't make any changes on the Safe mode start window.

Data type change made to schema.xml of comments list which is part of blog site template is not reflecting in the existing site but working fine when new site is created.

I have created a blog site with the available site template few days back. Now we have the requirement of having the attachments in the body of the comments section.
So, I updated the schema.xml of the comments list available under ../templates/blog/lists/comments/schema.xml to have rich text for the Body field.
With this change, I created a new site and it was working fine. Change is reflected in the new blog site.
However, this particular change is not reflected in the existing blog site. Any changes made to the schema.xml is not effecting the old blog site.
Can anyone suggest what can be done for the change to be reflected in the old blog site?

Hi,
According to your post, my understanding is that you wanted to add attachments in the body of the comments section.
You can add the the Code inside the Default list pages. For more information, you can refer to:
Enable Attachment in SharePoint Blog post list and display the list Attachments
In addition, you can add an enhanced rich text field to the comment list and remove the body field. Then you can insert files into comments, too.

Over the years I have had many ISP and email addresses - but now we have finally gone almost fully virtual...
I have a live login and MS ID 4 my SkyDrive account but I only use my MS touch with 8.1, SkyDrive and office 365 for mobility.
And I still like to backup to my own server!!!
What would be good is if I can put all the software licenses and product keys of the software and keep a record of my mac addresses for hardware and even static IP's in a file or a secure location within the MS online store.
That's where MS wants me to get my computing needs from in future and I will always be able to retrieve it in future but what about the $$$$$ I have spent on software, hardware and applications prior to now???
I know u guys love 2 collect data 4 marketing analysis,
4 example I have an old PC that is still running a server from last century - if you knew about it a simple script would allow you to offer upgrades or at least relevant MS products - UNLIKE the rubbish adds I just turn off or tune out

That's crap - This is a clean brand spanker install of Win7 and there was nothing b4 I put the oem drivers from Toshiba back on.
I looked at dozens of support pages and forum blogs and tried for hours to get a copy to download - including incognito and other logins but because my default PC name is also my MS Windows live ID the same error was repeated.
I keep away from the non MS sites for these things and with good reason - there were heaps of similar users with the same issue or very close to it that had downloaded from a supposed MS copy from eValue or digital river etc and the next
thing was total corruption of the OS.
EVENTUALLY I found a LIVE MS chat on a support site in the US and she gave me a link to a slightly older version which will need updating and some reg edit changes but so far, so good.
The point is - what a crock !
I should be able to just keep all my software, drivers, updates, service packs, and versions that I have upgraded in the MS store.
If Microsoft aren't going to support XP or Office 2003 and eventually 2007, vista & Windows7 not far behind??? then that's still no excuse for them to put these restrictions and limits when I OWN my copy of the software!!

I own Photoshop CS5 and i get messages that there are updates available, but when I go to download and install them i get the message "There was an error downloading this update. Please quit and try again later. " What can I do to resolve this?

Can't get to Secure Area. Was working, but now Log-in Page hangs when enter Name and Password.

Built site using Muse, then used Business Catalyst to set up Secure Area. Site worked for several months, but the Log-in Page looked somewhat unprofessional, since Name and Password box could appear almost anywhere on page. Asked for Adobe Help, and Adobe tech sent 'Test' page to check presentation. Now Log-in Page doesn't work at all. When enter Name and Password and hit Return - nothing ! Have to 'Escape' out of page - it just hangs. So members of the community site can no longer share internal data.
Would really appreciate any help trying to fix this issue.

All of my top sites thumbnails in Safari are blank

My thumbnails on the top sites in Safari are blank, but the links works perfectly.

Resetting the cache has neither helped. I don't know what to do.

Hi This is a bit late for an answer but I've just taken possession of a new MBP and was browsing the forums as I have a few issues too. On this topic my thumbnails werre all blank to start with but as I have used the sites they have slowly returmed until now they are fine. My issue is with Preview. I used to be able to combine PDFs after scanning but now? I'll need to post this question elsewhere methinks.
