Validation Error Question

I am getting some very small validation errors (8th - 10th decimal place), about 240 out of 15000 cells. Here are the simple details:
control = spreadsheet query to the ASO (source) cube , test = spreadsheet query to BSO (target) cube.
Anyone know why a transparent partition would perhaps create some validation errors?
Thanks.
Drew Rushford

This error is flagging up that dynamic calculations on a sparse dimensions are involved in the area for partition slice 1.
Are there attribute dimensions in the source database? If so then mad to [void] in the mappings. Also check for dynamic calculated sparse members, and see if these are causing the issue. It is not ideal, and will usually stop a partition working, if you are trying to pull dynamically calculated values from a replicated source.
If the above are not obvious then cut the partition down into a smaller chunk (potentially a single cell) to get the partition to validate and then build up to see where the issue arises.

    Weblogic app server wsdl web service call with SSL Validation error = 16
    I need to make wsdl web service call in my weblogic app server. The web service is provided by a 3rd party vendor. I keep getting error
    Cannot complete the certificate chain: No trusted cert found
    Certificate chain received from ws-eq.demo.xxx.com - xx.xxx.xxx.156 was not trusted causing SSL handshake failure
    Validation error = 16
    From the SSL debug log, I can see 3 verisign hierarchy certs are correctly loaded (see 3 lines in the log message starting with “adding as trusted cert”). But somehow after first handshake, I got error “Cannot complete the certificate chain: No trusted cert found”.
    Here is how I load trustStore and keyStore in my java program:
         System.setProperty("javax.net.ssl.trustStore",”cacerts”);
         System.setProperty("javax.net.ssl.trustStorePassword", trustKeyPasswd);
         System.setProperty("javax.net.ssl.trustStoreType","JKS");
    System.setProperty("javax.net.ssl.keyStoreType","JKS");
    System.setProperty("javax.net.ssl.keyStore", keyStoreName);
         System.setProperty("javax.net.ssl.keyStorePassword",clientCertPwd);      System.setProperty("com.sun.xml.ws.transport.http.client.HttpTransportPipe.dump","true");
    Here is how I create cacerts using verisign hierarchy certs (in this order)
    1.6.0_29/jre/bin/keytool -import -trustcacerts -keystore cacerts -storepass changeit -file VerisignClass3G5PCA3Root.txt -alias "Verisign Class3 G5P CA3 Root"
    1.6.0_29/jre/bin/keytool -import -trustcacerts -keystore cacerts -storepass changeit -file VerisignC3G5IntermediatePrimary.txt -alias "Verisign C3 G5 Intermediate Primary"
    1.6.0_29/jre/bin/keytool -import -trustcacerts -keystore cacerts -storepass changeit -file VerisignC3G5IntermediateSecondary.txt -alias "Verisign C3 G5 Intermediate Secondary"
    Because my program is a weblogic app server, when I start the program, I have java command line options set as:
    -Dweblogic.security.SSL.trustedCAKeyStore=SSLTrust.jks
    -Dweblogic.security.SSL.ignoreHostnameVerification=true
    -Dweblogic.security.SSL.enforceConstraints=strong
    That SSLTrust.jks is the trust certificate from our web server which sits on a different box. In our config.xml file, we also refer to the SSLTrust.jks file when we bring up the weblogic app server.
    In addition, we have working logic to use some other wsdl web services from the same vendor on the same SOAP server. In the working web service call flows, we use clientgen to create client stub, and use SSLContext and WLSSLAdapter to load trustStore and keyStore, and then bind the SSLContext and WLSSLAdapter objects to the webSerive client object and make the webservie call. For the new wsdl file, I am told to use wsimport to create client stub. In the client code created, I don’t see any way that I can bind SSLContext and WLSSLAdapter objects to the client object, so I have to load certs by settting system pramaters. Here I attached the the wsdl file.
    I have read many articles. It seems as long as I can install the verisign certs correctly to web logic server, I should have fixed the problem. Now the questions are:
    1.     Do I create “cacerts” the correct order with right keeltool options?
    2.     Since command line option “-Dweblogic.security.SSL.trustedCAKeyStore” is used for web server jks certificate, will that cause any problem for me?
    3.     Is it possible to use wsimport to generate client stub that I can bind SSLContext and WLSSLAdapter objects to it?
    4.     Do I need to put the “cacerts” to some specific weblogic directory?

    I received a workaround by an internal message.
    The how to guide is :
    -Download the wsdl file (with bindings, not the one from ESR)
    -Correct it in order that the schema corresponds to the answer (remove minOccurs or other things like this)
    -Deploy the wsdl file on you a server (java web project for exemple). you can deploy on your local
    -Create a new logicial destination that point to the wsdl file modified
    -Change the metadata destination in your web dynpro project for the corresponding model and keep the execution desitnation as before.
    Then the received data is check by the metadata logical destination but the data is retrieved from the correct server.

  • Validation Errors with new Install of W7 x64 Ent Debug Checker On New Equipment

    I am receiving multiple Errors. I am trying to use the Windows 7 x64 Enterprise which happens to be the Debug Checker version OS as the host machine.  I have only built the machine, and tried to load the Drivers.
    I say this due to the starting issue that upon the loading of the entire driver set, (for the MB, Seagate Harddrive, and Vid Card), I would get the BSOD.  I identified that the Bluetooth driver was the issue.  I then did not load the Bluetooth
    drivers for the MB on the 5<sup>th</sup> or so install of the 7 Ent os.  (Tried Server 2k8 r2. Which is not compatible with the MB Drivers.)
    I have not received a single Update either.  The Auto update feature claims that I am up to date.  I do not believe this due to the fact that any fresh Install of any OS has about several decades of updates and reboots to go through.
    Upon trying the suggestions on the forum about turning off the IE Addons, the errors remain.  Also the results of the sfc /scannow are copied below.
    My Questions
    I am seeking assistance on solving the Errors that have refused to leave me alone , to put it humorously and am asking for your insight and wisdom.  Will you take a look??
    Do I need to go to Win 7 Ent or Ult x64 that is not a Debug Checker version.
    Are there other Microsoft download Registery file checkers besides the MGA Diag tool that are freeware that I can use to check, for corrupted registry files.
    Or do I just need to take it to the stores (Fry’s and Microcenter) that recommended the equipment and have them just reload the software and allow them the headache of solving the error issue, by paying them to install the drivers and have ALL of the
    drivers work. (including the blue tooth)
    The Goal is to turn it into a Active Directory Server using Virtual Box with Server 2k8 R2 running in the virtual box environment.
    Errors and Results.
    There are also a number of logs that show various Crit, Error, and Warning logs.  I will include those if need be.
    This is the majority of the error messages, and I have missed the opportunity to capture others.

  • Calendar Component and validation errors

    Hi,
    For the first time I am trying to use the Calendar component to insert a date field in my SQL Server db.
    The problem: I can insert a date column only if its of type java.sql.Timestamp.
    As Timestamp extends the date object..
    I tried to bind the selectedDate field as <Timestamp> Object[refractored in my class file] and when i tried to update by DB it throwing a Validation error.
    If I bind it as a Date Object directly I am getting an EvaluvationException
    as date objects cannot be inserted directly
    Am i missing something here or is there a proper way of implementing it.

    Its a fairly direct question about object conversion problem in creator
    Basically the selectedDate parameter of the JSC Calendar component
    needs to be pointed to a Date Object
    If we need to insert that date information to a SQL Server column the equivalent data type should be java.sql.Timestamp which extends Date.
    So if we point the selectedDate parameter as a Timestamp object the creator throws an illegal argument exception.
    Can some one clarify how to resolve this issue?

  • Page rendering process doesn't run after validation error

    I have a page rendering process (On Load - After Regions) that needs to be run for my page to be rendered properly; however, it doesn't run when the page is rendered after a validation error. In debug mode, I see the following line:
    "0.05: ......do not perform process because inline validation condition found."
    Is this a bug? Validations are meant to prevent execution of On Submit processes, but is there a reason to also not run rendering processes?
    I need to dynamically construct some javascript and insert it somewhere after a certain item on the page. Is there a workaround?
    Thanks.
    Rodney

    Rodney,
    Let me see if I understand your question:
    1. A page is rendered
    2. The page is submitted
    3. A validation fires and fails
    4. The page is re-rendered displaying the validation error message
    5. Your on-load after regions process did not fire
    You want to run a process in all cases; in the standard page load case (1) and in the re-load case (4).
    You can do this by creating a region of type PL/SQL. You can give the region a null template so that it will not display any values. The region can be the last one displayed on the page; so that it will be run last.
    You also asked if it is a bug that the on-load after regions process did not fire; as the debug message indicates this is proper. Here is an example that illustrates why you typically don't want to perform processes when rendering a page after it was posted causing a validation to fire.
    Lets take the following example:
    1. create a form on the emp table; assume a salary column called "SAL"
    2. create a validation that says the salary must be numeric
    3. edit a row of the EMP table
    4. change the employee job from clerk to manager; and enter a "X" in the salary item
    5. submit the page
    6. the validation will fire; page processing will stop; and the page will be re-displayed
    7. the process which fetches the rows will not fire; and the page will be re-displayed; the job item will display the change from "clerk" to "manager" and salary will still contain the invalid "X" value. If the process had fired it would have replaced the values in the form.
    My recommendation is that you use regions for any processing that is UI releated. I hope this helps.

  • Interactive Report validation error messages...

    Hi guys!
    I was looking for answer to this question for a long time now...is it possible to change the validation error messages in interactive report?
    With regards,
    PsmakR

    Hi,
    there are more validations than you think. Anthony Rayner has prepared a nice summary in a [url http://anthonyrayner.blogspot.com/2010/08/apex-40-enhancements-validating-form.html]blog post.
    You see in that post where and how to disable validations, but also, that you may not disable all of them. The only way to avoid all validations would be to implement the report yourself completely.
    The good news is, you can overwrite those messages. The following documentation tells you how to:
    http://download.oracle.com/docs/cd/E17556_01/doc/user.40/e15517/global.htm#CHDEDHBJ

  • Customizing validation errors

    First of all I want to take moment in conveying my thanks to each and everone who helped me several times and who spend a lot of their valuable time in helping other developers like me.
    Here's my question:
    When the validation errors show up in the notification, they are formatted with yellow triangles. (apex 3.2). How can I remove these yellow triangles?
    I have a page level validation which throws multiple lines of error messages. I want them all to be a bulleted list.
    So, basically I want all item and page level (which may be more than one line of errors)error messages to be a bulleted list.
    How can it be done?
    If bulleted list is hard, then I would atleast like to get rid of yellow triangles because they don't work good for page level validation which throws multiple error messages. Each traingle indicates one error which may not be the case when my page level validation fails.
    Thanks for looking into this thread,
    RN

    Thanks Jari for prompt reply.
    Your solution worked by putting code in page html header section. Yellow triangles got replaced with bullet points.
    Can you please direct me where you found the code
    li     {
    list-style-image: url(Bullet.gif);
    }My actual problem is more complicated. Changing bullets did not solve what I want. I did not describe my problem properly earlier and got carried away in wrong direction.
    I would like to explain again what I want:
    All validation errors show up as a bulleted list. Each bulleted point shows one validation error. But I have a page level validation that checks multiple business rules and throws error lines like this:
    Product Category should be defined. <br>
    Product needs atleast two approvals before moving it to next status.So far, these both error lines show under one bullet because it is result of one validation failure. But I want there two lines to show up under two different bullets because these are two errors.
    If I can't show them this way, then I don't want any error message to be bulleted because bullets will give user wrong impression about number of errors.
    I do want all error messages(from all different validations) show up in new line for the readilibility.
    Hope I explained my requirement better this time.
    Thanks,

  • Validation Error - An error occured executing the provided SQL Command

    Hi All,
    I am new to using SQL Server in general (2008 R2) and am trying to change the source location for multiple packages in order to obtain our data from a more reliable environment.
    I have created a copy of the target database where the data will be loaded, amended the source and target connection managers and ran through the packages to ensure they work, which many do.
    We are changing the source from a local server to a cloud based server and when running a package that literally truncates target table, selects * from source, and inserts data to target I get a validation error "An error occurred executing the provided
    SQL Command "Select *...." The connection has been disabled" and "component ADO NET Source failed validation and returned validation status "VS_ISBROKEN"".
    The table structure from the 2 sources is the same and I have even recreated the data flow tasks to ensure the metadata has updated. When selecting 100 rows or even 5,000,000 rows from source the package runs fine but will fail as above
    when selecting &* (around 9.5 million rows).
    I'm not sure if this is due to the new data source being web based or if it could be some erroneous data in the table that isn't being selected when limiting to 5 milling rows etc.
    I have spend hours trying to figure out what the issue could be (doesn't help being new to SQL Server) so any guidance would be hugely appreciated!!!
    Thanks,
    Louis.

    Hi All,
    Unfortunately I don't believe any of the above are the issues.
    Our current working project/packages run via an SQL agent job daily. To test and ensure the package in question ran outside of the agent WITHOUT changing the ADO NET Source I exported the package (that runs daily) and ran it locally,
    to which it failed.
    I then edited the select statement from 'select * from [table]' to 'select top(100) from [table] to which it ran without error.
    So in summary:
    Package will run fine if run as part of the agent job (with multiple other packages)
    Package will not run from File System when selecting * from the source table
    Package will run from File System when selecting limited rows
    Could this be something to do with permissions? The errors I get are:
    An error occurred executing the provided SQL command: "select * from [table]". The connection has been disabled.
    "component" ADO NET Source"(396") failed validation and returned validation status "VS_ISBROKEN".
    Thanks,
    Louis.

  • Report Still Runs When Validation Errors Occur

    Hello.
    I'm using Apex 4.2.1 against Oracle 11gR2 and Oracle App Server (mod_plsql).
    My Set-Up:
    I created an application containing a "classical" type report that is driven by a WHERE clause. I also have two date fields in an HTML region on this same page. These fields are used in the report WHERE clause. And the report is run by clicking a GO button on the page.
    Here's what the WHERE clause looks like:
    where table_date >= to_date(nvl(:P1_BEGIN_DATE, '01-jan-1900'), 'dd-mon-yyyy') and table_date <= to_date(nvl(:P1_END_DATE, '31-dec-2300'), 'dd-mon-yyyy')This is designed so that, if any of the date fields are NULL, then the minimum or maximum date will be used for the query.
    These date fields should always have a value when the report is run, and so, I created two after submit NOT NULL validations, one for each of the date fields. If any of these fields is NULL when the GO button is clicked, an error message appears in the notification area at the top of the page.
    Looking at all this, you might realize (as I do) that the nvl() functions in the above WHERE clause are redundant. After all, the validations are supposed to prevent these date fields from becoming NULL when the report is run. In any case, this set-up does work ok and points out a strange behavior with Apex.
    My Problem:
    If any of these validations throws an error message, the report still runs. In previous versions of Apex, if a validation (or, for that matter, any error) is thrown, the report remains static. The report region does not disappear and the report is not invoked until the user corrects the error.
    If both date fields are filled, I click the GO button and the report correctly returns, say, 100 rows. But when I empty both of the date fields and click GO, the validation errors appear and the report still runs, now returning the maximum number of rows, say, 1000.
    What I've Tried:
    I added a Branch-to-Page with condition "No Inline Validation Errors Displayed" so that the page branches back to itself only when no errors appear inline and I changed the validation error messages to appear inline. This has no effect.
    And if I remove the nvl() functions from the above WHERE clause, then, when validation errors are thrown, the report data is replaced with the "No data found" message. All very disconcerting to my users.
    Does anyone know why Apex reports are still run in presence of validation errors?
    And how do I get around this behavior?
    Thank you for any help.
    Elie

    Hi, Scott.
    Thank you for your help/suggestions.
    I like your first suggestion: creating a DA on the GO button that causes my report region to refresh only if both begin and end date fields are populated. And so, I tried doing this.
    My DA looks like:
    Event: Click
    Type: Button
    Button Name: P1_GO
    Condition: - No Condition -
    Action: Refresh
    Fire When Event Result Is: True
    Fire On Page Load: Checked
    Selection Type: Region
    Region Name: People Count
    Event Scope: Static
    Condition Type: PL/SQL Function Body Returning A Boolean
    My PLSQL Code in Expression 1:
    IF ( (:P1_BEGIN_DATE IS NOT NULL) AND (:P1_END_DATE IS NOT NULL) ) THEN
      RETURN TRUE;
    ELSE
      RETURN FALSE;
    END IF;My P1_GO button was automatically changed to "Controlled by Dynamic Action". And "Execute Validations" for this button is set to "Yes".
    Unfortunately, this DA does not work. When both date fields are filled, clicking the GO button does not cause the report (nor anything else) to refresh. However, if I navigate to another application tab and then return back to my report page, I notice that the report does refresh at that point. But clicking the GO button has no effect.
    And when either or both of the date fields is NULLed, clicking the GO button does not cause my validation error messages to appear.
    By the way, I do agree with your comment about the NVL() functions. As I had mentioned in my original post, I also realize that, with my WHERE clause, checking for NULLs in my date fields is not needed. Still, if users fail to fill these date fields, then it would be useful to remind users that these fields should be populated. This is why having the validation checks are still needed despite my WHERE clause.
    In any case, would you know what I am doing wrong here with this Dynamic Action?
    Also, with respect to my first question, why is Apex causing my report to refresh when validaion errors have occurred? This did not occur prior to version 4.2.
    Thank you very much for any further help/advice.

  • Windows Validation Error?

    Hi
    I recently downloaded a copy of Windows 7 Pro (from my University for free) on a new PC build. Here are its specs if you need them:
    Intel 4670k, 8 gb ram, 650 watt PSU, 50gb OCZ Vertex SSD, AsRock Z87 Pro3, and another 250 gb HDD.
    After installing Windows, I kept getting an error like this:
    ---------.exe encountered a validation error
    process name:
    ---------.exe
    Module name: KERNELBASE.dll
    Assert offset: [Some random numbers/letters]
    Now, I felt this could be a corrupt ISO (I made a bootup USB), so I remade the ISO and tried again. No luck.
    I thought this could be a corrupt download, so I redownloaded the copy of Windows 7. No luck
    People are saying that that is the debugged version which shouldn't be downloaded, so I can redownload the standard version of Windows, but can't I just download a Service Pack to fix that?
    Or is that not my problem? Then what is?
    Thanks for any help
    PS: This is a valid copy of Windows, with a valid product key.

    OKAY so I found the problem. At the university's download page, there is a "bugged" version and "debugged" version. Download the BUGGED version. Also make sure your ISO image isn't faulty.
    Thanks for the help everyone!

    Actually this is not the answer.  The 'bugged' version and the 'debugged' version both use the exact same activation key.  Apparently your download was corrupted causing you problem initially.

  • Bdoc under the status - Bdoc validation error

    Hi -
    I have been working on replicating materials from R/3 to CRM. The replication was working fine. Then I decided to extend the Bdoc by adding custom fields on both r/3 and crm. On R/3 side I added new sub screen and maintained a Z-table for holding the values.
    In CRM side I extended the product by assigning new set type and attributes.
    On the R/3 side I'm pushing the data to Bdoc on the T_OTHER_INFO table using the BADI CRM0_200 - > pointing Function Module  - Z_SEND_PROD_TO_CRM .
    On the CRM side, I was using the BADI Product_customer2 and the method - MAP_R3_TO_CRM_MATERIAL.  Here I'm able to find the values populated on the T_other_info table of the BDoc.
    I'm Just passing these values to the cs_product_bdoc-data-zmatmas table and cs_product_bdoc-data-mnt_settype .
    But once a material is changed on R/3 and when a Bdoc was trying to post, I'm getting a status for the Bdoc on CRM as - BDoc validation error.
    Do I need to activate anyother BADI's for enhancement of BDocs?
    Thanks for your advise.
    James...

    Basically i understand your question as, you need to send Equipment status changes from R/3 to CRM. In R/3, you cannot create BDOC.It only extracts the data and send the details as Queue. So Pls use FM CRS_EQUIPMENT_EXTRACT to send the data as queue. In CRM it will create BDOC and do the necessary posting.

    <logic:messagesPresent>
                   <html:messages id="error">
                        '<bean:write name="error" />'
                   </html:messages>
              </logic:messagesPresent>I want to display the error message in a pop up.
    I've written a function to pass the message when the page loads.. this works correctly when there is only one error... because I'm using the above code.. so of course it doesn't work.
    Now my question is, can I pass the whole collection into the function and iterate through it in the function and how is it stored in the collection.

    Hi,
    Edit your label template as above. Remove javascripts mentioned above if you edit same template.
    Include this javascript
    <script type="text/javascript">
    $('#errdialog').find('ul').append($('<li/>',{text:'#ERROR_MESSAGE#'}));
    </script>Then in page where you like use this place to page HTML header
    <script type="text/javascript">
    $(function(){
    if($('#errdialog').find('li').length>0){
      $('#errdialog').dialog({
       modal:true,resizable:false,
       buttons:{"Ok":function(){$(this).dialog("close")}}
    </script>And to page Header Text
    <div id="errdialog" title="Validation Error !" style="display:none"><ul/></div>Regards,
    Jari

  • Dynamic values for JSF selectOneMenu using javascrpt. JSF validation error.

    Hi,
    Im using Myfaces 1.2 (tomahawk) . I have a very bulky page having lot of drop down menus. It has a datatable containing four drop downs in a row and the datatable has close to 40 rows (with pagination) . Each of the drop downs have close to 100 items . This makes the page size very huge and not suitable for an internet application.
    Im thinking of a way to have the drop downs populated using javascript in body onload event so that the page size reduces drastically. I have defined a selectOneMenu without selectItems. So before page load there will be no items in the drop down. The body onLoad method populates the drop downs and the page gets rendered as expected. All the javascript events related to these drop downs works fine. When page is submitted i want the selected value in the bean variable.
    But when the page gets submitted im getting the error
    Validation Error: Value is not valid
    Can someone let me know the reason behind this and a way to solve this problem . Its really URGENT...
    Please help....
    Thanks,
    Swami.

    Validation Error: Value is not valid During validations phase, the submitted value of UISelectOne/UISelectMany will be tested against the current SelectItems. If it is not covered by the SelectItems, you will get this error.
    Its really URGENT...This is your own problem, not our problem. This way you're only trying to move the problem/pressure to us and pushing us to respond soon. This is considered very rude in terms of netiquette. Next time you do so, I have no problem adding you to my ignore list. • Task License Validation Error Message/ Automatic Scheduling for Disk Defrag is not working.

    I saw where I could possibly ask you for answers to the problems that I am having with Windows 8.1 pro. First of all I noticed that my disk defragmentation task which was set on daily wasn't operating.  It indicated that the last time it ran all disks
    for disk defrag was back on 4/20 and on the this morning of 4/26 there was the date 4/20 for all the disks.  I went into the Administrator Tools section of Control Panel and found Schedule Tasks.  When I opened Schedule Tasks I got the
    error message that indicated a Task License Validation Error. It went on to read:The task XML contains a value which is incorrectly formatted or out of range.  This is my question...are the two related...the inoperative automatic maintenance of disk defrag
    and this error message from task scheduler?  And how do I address each issue to solution.   Thank you very much.
