Variable description change

Hi,
I have a web template where when i run it asks for the variable input where I need to enter To and From values
for this variables entry screen at the top
I am getting the heading like Varibles for ZDefects_Q001(my query name)
instead of this I want it to display as variables for Revenue
Ex:-
Varibles for ZDefects_Q001
From -___________
to__________----
Please let me know how is this possible

if u wana change the query name then go to properties of the queries and change the name or save as other query as other name and delete the prev one and if u want to change the name of the variable right clik or double clik(m not sure) on the variable u geta optoin there

WAD: change variable description in Info Field

Hi guys,
I have created a Web Template with the Web Application Designer (WAD). Using an Info Field item (Info Filed properties > Data Binding > Text Element Type > Variable Value ) I displayed the variable filter value used to launch the Web Template. The available values are: Default, Manual and Listed. I have to choose one of the listed variable changing the variable description. I tried to change it also changing the XHTML code, but launching the Web Template the system automatically recalls the original variable description.
Can anyone let me know how I can do it?

Hi Giulia,
We cant do this WAD , need to do it in query designer.( Cant edit a query in WAD)
If u want to change the descriptions of the chars u created, u can do it in the infoobject level it self.

Variable description not appearing in variable screen

Hi Experts,
we have created a variable which is ready for input. While executing the query, the variable description is not appearing in the variable screen, instead variable technical name is only appearing in the variable screen.
The same variable is being used in two queries. In one query, it displays the technical name and in the other query it displays the description of that variable.
your solution would be greatly appreciated.

yeah......it is strange. As soon as the variable screen comes up, all the variables normally shown in description rather than a technical name, unless you select "Key & text" OR only "key" OR only "Text".
But, in this case this particular variable is showing in technical name, the description itself is disappearing from the variable screen.
No changes have been made to variable. The same variable displays with descriptions in other query. so difficult to analyze.

Crystal didn't show the BEx query Attributes description changes/Values

We experiencing the BEx query attributes/crystal report issue.
I create a crystal report using BW- BEx query. Bex query displays the attributes values. But in crystal report side it didn;t show up the values as well as description changes.
But If I change the display properties of attributes (different from one attribute to another) the crystal report reflect the values. But crystal report didn't show the Attribute description changes , the one i did it in BEx query side.
Example:
Bex has a Masterdata as well as attribute Field1, Field2 etc.. I changed the description like Field_Test1 and Field_Test2. Also I changed the display property for Field_Test1 is Key and text and long , Field_Test2 is Text & LOng text.
I got the attribute values is crystal report Xi R2. But crystal didn't reflect the description changes?
Suggestions Please?

Service Master / Activity Master description change Issue

Dear Experts,
I am facing problem with Service master / Activity Master description change problem.
Steps in the problem -
1) Service Master / Activity Master created.
2) Long term purchase order (with large quantity) is created.
3) Service entry sheet and Invoice has been posted for the Purchase Order.
Due Service master / Activity master description change requirement from client, description of the
Services are changed.
But it is not updated in Purchase order. (As purchase order has been created before service master description change)
and when i am trying to post next service entry sheet with reference to the long term purchase order created,
it is not adopting the new one service description.

The solution to your issue could be achieved as follows:
In the item level 'Service' tab for the corresponding PO line item, change the quantity to which you have already made Service Entry sheet. Then create a new line item with the Service number, once you enter the Service number you would see the new description here. Then when you create a Service Entry sheet with reference to PO, the system would ask you to select one of the two entries you have in PO. Here select the new entry which you have made.

Material description change not possible after MM12 &MM13

After unicode & patch upgrade , i am not able to change material description in BAsic DATA1 of material master .This changes are done by running MM12 & MM13 tCode. Can anubody help me why i am not able to change material description of material after running MM12 & MM13

MM12 & MM13 are scheduled changes it will not change immediately , Pl.s scheduled the materials with proper chnages then check the changes after schedule date .
Could you explan me why you are using these codes for Description changes ? is there any specific requirement

How can I detect if a global bolean variable has changed

I have a boolean global variable that change its value from time to time. At hte beginning of my program I take the actual time, but everytime this value change I have to reset this previous value and take the actual one. I've tried to do this with the event structure but it doesn't work because this is a global variable and not a control in the panel. Some idea to solve this problem? Thanks in advance,

It's mainly because you are reading value change events for the indicator, not the control. Value change events are only fired for changes given by a user. The indicator however is not updated by the GUI, but by programmatic input from the control. By replacing the reference with a reference to the control it will work. Or you can write the value to the indicator by using a Value (Signaling) property, that will trigger a change event for the indicator.
Note: You should not register the event inside the loop, do that only once - outside the loop.
If the boolean you are to monitor is not changed from the GUI you can as I mentioned above make it fire an event by setting the value using the value signalling property inst
ead of wiring the new value directly, but the property node has it's downsides so another option is to create a user event, put that reference in the global, and then run the generate user event function whenever the boolean changes.
I see you read the ms timer when the value changes. Why? If you want the time get the time, if you want the time since the last update you could use the ms timer, keep the previous value in a shift register and then calculate the difference, but the ms timer rolls over now and then so that can give false results...What is the purpose of the time and how often does the value change?

I understand not wanting to waster resources on polling but I am not aware that LabVIEW can automatically generate an event on a SV change.
Maybe a better solution...
You could implement lower level TCP communication (i.e. have a look at STM - simple messaging protocol) for passing data betweeen RT and PC (instead of using a SV). You could send a generic command (boolean trigger maybe?) from your RT system when the value of whatever it is the SV is storing has changed. You can avoid polling on the non-RT system this way.

I have a issue for this: user want to set Favorites Description changed with the Logon langue, For example: In EN Langue, The MM01 in Favorites is u2018Material createu2019, If user used the other Langue, he want the u2018Material createu2019 changed the logon langue.
If the t-code in SAP menu, the description can change with logon langue?
How to set?

Material Master description change

Hi All,
I have a PO created for a material and the PO is released at all levels. Now i change the description of the material using MM02. Now if i check in the PO it is not showing the new description in the short text field.
I made changes to the Vendor name and i see the New name coming up in the PO when i open the PO
Question:
WIll the new description of the material gets displayed on the already existing PO for that material or this new description gets appended only for the Purchase orders which are created after the description change
Please let me know

Hi,
PO created before Changes hence they are not comming in old documents.
We cna corelate with following example -
E.g.
u have original docuement (Matrial Master)
u have taken a Xerox copy of that ( Created PO )
now
u have changed the origional document (Material Master)
Changes will never reflect in Xerox Copy unless u get the new xerox or u need to change it manually
but yes u can one thing change it manually-
Remove the line item system will ask u about enter material number then add the same material number u will get the new desription

Showin a variable description for an info-object depending on a user login

Hi,
Client requirement is to show a variable description for an info-object depending on a user login.
e.g. a Characteristic Name is Level1 with a description as 'Level1'. If a user in Canada logs in and see a BEx report he should be able to see the description for infoobject Level1 as 'Cost center'. A user in US may wish to see the description as 'Expense center' etc. etc.
Is it possible to do so ? If yes please let me know ASAP.

I don't think it is possible through standard functionality, but maybe you could try a workaround.
Create a Characteristic (say COMP) with text, and compound it with Infoobject Level1. The values and description for COMP could be
US Cost Center
CN Expense Center
You could make COMP an Authorisation relevant object and check the same with regard to user login, so that the people of sepecific country see only description relevant to their COMP.
In the report Display COMP as Description and Level1 as Key.
But do not that compounding may have an impact on the performance, also look into the implications of the same if you need to do it for a large number of reports/objects.

Variable Time Change Audio

Sending audio from FCP to Soundtrack doesn't appear to honour variable time changes. The video is of course as expected but the audio is at 100% constant speed.
Can the audio stretching and timeslice tools in soundtrack be used to line up the audio to the video on the fly?

Is this a bug that anyone is aware of or something to do with the transfer/send process from my system?

Variable description

In Query Designer, I have created the Variable for Characteristic 0Plant. I entered the Description following for this Variable:
Plant (1500 = Buying, 1800 = Warehouse, 1900 = Shipping)
This is so that the user can see clearly what Plant represent what. However, when I run this report, I only see the following
as description of this Variable:
Plant (1500 = Buying, 1800 = Warehouse, 19
Is seem like I hits the max characteristic. Can we adjust the lenght of it so that I can see the following in the seleciton screen??
Plant (1500 = Buying, 1800 = Warehouse, 1900 = Shipping)
Next question is, on the selection screen, when I click on the 0Plant Variable, I only see the Key:
1500
1800
1900
Can we turn on the Text also so that user can see what Plant means what?

It's the same issue here...Variable description is truncated on selection screen...
The variable description in Table RSZELTDIR is showing correct description...
when i try to execute the query in Bex & WAD it truncates the description from Company Code (Multiple Single Value Mandatory) to Company Code (Multiple Single Value..
we are on SAPKW70105

I made the below change:

then there is no error for the Asset.
Please let me know how to identify all the assets that have this error. You have mentioned RAAFAR00 'Recalculate depreciation'.
so my understanding is if i run the program the warning for all the assets appear.
Does calculation of Depreciation AFAB report the assets with errors.
