Velocity configuration/sandbox per servlet?

There are two servlets on my server (tomcat), each of them using different directories to store Velocity templates.
But as Velocity.init() could be run only once per JVM (and not a servlet context) - i can specify only one path and another system wont work.
Another way to go - is to include both directories in loader path, but then i get a collision, since i have similar file structure in both template directories (i.e. both are web systems, and have register/form.vm template file (which differ ofcourse)).
Is there any way to configure Velocity per servlet context, and not by the whole tomcat context? Some kind of sandbox?
If there is not - how do people solve it usually?

this configuration is functional without VRF, when I used the configuration with VRF - it is not functional:-(

if the main server is up, the CSS will use it over the sorry_server.
You can't tell the CSS not to use it if it is UP.
Therefore, the only solution is to find a way to keep your main server down once it fails a keepalive.
This can be done with a script that would issue the command 'suspend' once it detects the service missed a keepalive.
The script can be a tcp keepalive script and instead of returning just a failure one the server is down, the script itself can generate the 'suspend' command.
So, you then have time to sync your database and when ready you can do an 'active' under the service to start using it again.

Configuration file for servlets

Hi, everyone
I have one problem,I can't solve:
I want write configuration file for several servlets (by incapsulating my static class Config in DBServlet subclass), but I don't know how can I find this config file in runtime( it will be placed, as I think in root documents directory of web-server).
I can't use no method of DBServlet and HTTPRequest on its initialization phase (suche methods as getServletContext, getServerName, getServerPort and others), so
I can't get real path of root documents directory of web-server.
If I will read this file by URL like "localhost/config.cfg" there will be problem in web-server configuration with access permissions, I think.
Is there some standard ways to find and read in servlet runtime from file , which is placed in root documents directory of web-server.

1.    Define Withholding Tax key (206C)

3.    Create the access sequence for withholding for TCS in SD (Copy the existing access sequence J1AW and create the new access sequence)
4.    Create condition types corresponding to Tax collected at Source in SD
5.    Assign withholding tax types to SD condition types
6.    Define withholding tax codes
7.    Assign GL accounts for withholding tax types
8.    Add TCS conditions in pricing procedure (assign TCS conditions in pricing procedure as a statistical conditions)
9. We will need to define a new condition type and add this to the pricing procedure to post to the FI. This condition type will be manual and can be manually filled at the time of creation of sales order. This can also be copied from the statistical TCS condition types in the pricing procedure

Different sender address and automatic, configurable signature per address?

I use Mail.app 4.0 on Snow Leopard (10.6) and I have a problem to configure it.
How can I define different Signatures per sender address. I know how I can define more than one sender address, and i know how can i define more signatures. But I can't configure any dependency between sender addresses and signatures.
Isn't it possible in Mail.app? Anybody know a solution?

Hi Supriya,
Whethere the system is calculating Overhead on the basis of Input Raw Materials or on the basis of Output Materials, completely depends on the Cost Element what you assign in the "Base Row".
If it is to be on Qty Consumption of Raw Materials, then, you need to assign the RM Consumption GL Account in the Base Row. If it is to be on the Output Quantity produced, you need to assign the GL which you created for External Settlement (22 category).
*Note: SAP only accounts for input materials and activities with units of quantity for quantity-based overhead that are updated in CO. Assigning the Output Qty GL will help you only for Actual Overhead calculation.*

NPD Admin data configuration as per business unit

NPD Admin data eg. Brands is configured at admin level. Is there any way to provide security as per BU? Because user is able to see all brands and it makes complicated to select brand in NPD project window. He is able to see all brands of company which is not issue but if he can see only brands of his BU then it will be simple.
What is the reason that for most of NPD objects we can not provide BU wise security?

ORACLE configuration as per RAM.

I want to prepare a chart in which as per the RAM size i should have all the details regarding the oracle process & memory configuration to apply. This should be followed at the time of database creation.
for example - i have 8 GB of RAM at one server - so i will use 1 GB for OS,
1GB for anti-virus & other software if any,
4GB for SGA,
1GB for PGA,
n process,
n cursor's,
n session's
other parameters.....n many more.
Overall i need to have a set process for all size of RAM's at each server. I need some experts view. Please also suggest me if any parameter setting will help my database improve.

My database has many transactions per session in which it uses small data to work on. Its with small size transaction but many transactions per minute.

Just one note here - Windows 32b os can use much more than the 4 gig, allowing for very large buffer area. It is a bit involved, but well worth the results. By using the /3G switch in the boot.ini file you will immediately give back 1G of ram to the os, causing the kernal to load in the lower 1st G of ram. The /PAE switch allows os and oracle to use above the 4G line. You should also research the /userenv switch to give back a bit more to the kernal for user connections.
Also, turn off shared server and all associated shared server settings, i.e., dispatchers, etc.
Disable any areasize parameters in your init file
Add USE_INDIRECT_BUFFERS=TRUE to init file
Instead of db_cache you must revert back to db_block_buffers which is a calculation of blocks rather than a set G or M figure
You must also set "lock pages in memory" to the oracle user which starts the oracle service. This is set in the admin tools in the local security settings.
There are a few more items you must tweak in the inti file as well so do your homework, but it is possible to have a 32b windows os with 500 plus connections and large buffer cache and an efficiently running DB
Google AWE and PAE and VLM and use_indirect_buffers should give you much of what you need.

I found the VI in the VI.lib under FieldPoint\Configuration\Configure Range.llb
It looks like it will work - for clarity here is a picture of the VI and the Input Range constant and the Channel numbers that would apparently be needed. Module address would need to be 1-to-[max module #] depending on which module in the system it is.
I don't have a module right now to test this VI with, so if someone does have one and can verify that this VI works with the cFP-QUAD-510 as well as the original intended target of the FP-QUAD-510, I would appreciate it.
I am really interested in knowing if this will work with cFP-QUAD-510 modules in a cFP-1804 chassis.

Web.xml configuration for initial servlet load

Hi all,
I have heard of entering some tag into web.xml file (deployement descriptor) if we need some servlets to be loaded wheneve the app server starts or restarts. can some body help me regarding what to write in web.xml.

I am having some problems with the same issue although specifying the load-on-startup param is not working for.

I know the app is reading the right web.xml because i put in a bad value and saw the error being outputted in the startup log.
There are some servlets being initialised on startup but not the ones I want. These servlets don't seem to be in the web.xml.

one internal with a proxy PAC configuration (automatic/ proxy.pac URL ...)
and the second one external without a proxy PAC configuration.
when I swith from the first one to the second, the Wifi connection is OK,
but the proxy.pac configuration is not set.
I should do a manual proxy configuration (networksetup -setautoproxyurl Wi-Fi http://.....)
I try with lion 10.7.4 and mountain lion 10.8.1 and I experience the same problem.
please could you help to solve this problem?

How To Configure JRun Classpath--Servlets Not Found

How do I get JRun to pick up my classes in Unix? I have a WAR
application that works fine in Windows on a local copy of JRun4. If
I deploy it to Unix (making sure I haven't introduced any issues
such as ^M characters, of course), I find that my JSPs can be
picked up but the first time I attempt to access a servlet, it
turns up not found. The Servlet .class file is located in the
correct package in the WEB-INF/classes/ directory. Although I
should have been able to access it by mapping the URL in the
web.xml (which doesn't work even on the Windows copy, subject of
another question), even when I give the explicit name of the
servlet, i.e. /servlet/com.myco.myservlet.MyServlet, it is not
found.
Please explain to me what I have to do to permit my Servlets
to be picked up. I have tried putting an explicit classpath in the
startup script, i.e.: -cp
./.../servers/default/mywar/WEB-INF/classes/ but it does not make a
whit of difference. What gives? What must I do so that my classes
are picked up?

You can use <error-page> element of web.xml. Add an element to your web.xml like
<error-page>
<error-code>404</error-code>
<location>/404.jsp</location>
</error-page>
or
<error-page>
<exception-type>java.io.IOException</exception-type>
<location>/myException.html</location>
</error-page>
Both of them work when I try 10.1.2. This mechanism is a j2ee standard. You might want to search the web for "error-page" and "web.xml" or look at the j2ee specfication. Hope this helps you.

Configuring separate axis velocity/acceleration within a vector space

Is there a way to separately configure axis velocity/acceleration when using vector space motion control? My axes motivation are very diverse and I can not simply use a vector velocity/acceleration.

I guess that your application should not use Vector configuration then. The purpose of Vector Spaces is to group axes and define vector moves, the board will calculate each axis parameters in order to achieve the vector move.
If you require different velocity and acceleration per axis you might want to try to make up your own Vector algorithm in which for the eyes of the board you are treating each axis independently, but in your software you are actually grouping them. That is, you will configure each axis by its own, and you can do multi-starts and multi-stops. The Position/Velocity/Acceleration will be calculated by your own algorithm.

Possible to configure per connection timeout values?

hi,
please, does anybody know how (or whether or not it is even possible) to configure a "PER CONNECTION" timeout on the connections - created by jndi - to an ldap server?
my understanding is that setting the "com.sun.jndi.ldap.connect.timeout" property on the javax.naming.directory.InitialDirContext sets a _global_ timeout value for _all_ connections created/managed by that InitialDirContext (that is, with a "PER CONTEXT" scope).
however, what i would like to do instead, is somehow configure a different timeout value for each individual connection that a InitialDirContext might know about.
the first solution that will probably pop in your head is "connection pool". however, the app sets "java.naming.ldap.factory.socket" property to a custom socket factory class. according to the following paragraph from the jndi tutorial, that disqualifies the app from using connection pools:
"There are a couple of environment properties that automatically disqualify a Context instance from using a pooled connection. A Context instance cannot use a pooled connection if it has its "java.naming.ldap.factory.socket" property set to a custom socket factory class, or its "java.naming.security.sasl.callback" property set to a custom callback handler class, or its "com.sun.jndi.ldap.trace.ber" property set to enable protocol tracing."

even if we could use connection pools, we still wouldn't be able to set "per connection" timeout values. would we?
one proposed solution is to completely rip out jndi from the app and replace it with the netscape directory sdk for java. to me, that seems like too drastic a measure though - given the project's time-constraints (the way the app was originally designed does not lend itself to a straight-forward "pop-out/drop-in" type replacement). i was hoping there would be a simpler alternative (a jndi-based configuration type solution, for example).
