Verizon My Domain billing

We terminated our Verizon residential when we moved in August 2012 but retained our email accounts by paying the annual domain service fee.  Last month I got notified by the following email:
Upon review of our billing records, Verizon has discovered an error in your billing.  Your Verizon Your Domain  has remained active at no charge. As of "September 8, 2014" we plan to correct this error and want to let you know that:
On or after "September 8, 2014", we will begin billing you for Verizon Your Domain.
The charge for this service is $19.95 annually.
Your bill will be sent to:
If the billing address is incorrect, please call us at 1-800-VERIZON prior to "September 8, 2014".
If you wish to have your charges billed to your credit card, visit your Billing Help page and provide your information prior to "September 8, 2014".
If you wish to cancel this product please call us at 1-800-VERIZON.
As always, if have any questions, please visit us at Verizon.com or give us a call at 1-800-VERIZON.
Sincerely,
Your Verizon Team
The address is my old one and when I called Verizon customer service I get transferred to the Domain desk and the recording tells me to call 1800 verizon for address changes.  I thought that once Sept 8 came and went that the billing would be available online to pay, but it only shows my old residential account as being paid in full.
We have called Verizon at several times and have spent hours on the phone.   The domains support desk says they can see the account but then transfer us to another number to get it updated and then those people say they can't help us without our residential phone number which was terminated.  We must have talked to ten different people so far and the only people that get the issue can't help us - it's another departments responsibility.  I would like to get the $19.95 paid, but I don't know how, and I don't want to lose my email addresses.

  • What is the software stack for Verizon Your Domain Pro?

What operating system and software packages are included in the Verizon Your Domain Pro hosting product? If Linux, is shell access provided?

FYI, you're primarily talking to other customers here.
As you've seen, Verizon doesn't do support by email.
When I call Verizon I try to do it during weekday business hours.  That often gets me a helpful representative located in the states.  It helps if you get to the retention people by selecting the options to cancel service.
If you have an issue that you think other customers can help with, please post the details.
    Good Luck.

  • Registered with Verizon My Domain and cannot access email

I have spent the past TWO DAYS trying to get assistance from Verizon customer support.  I have talked with EIGHT different representatives and none of them know how to help me.
Last week I registered my verizon.net email with Verizon Your Domain and paid the $19.95 annual fee to keep my email address.  After receiving a confirmation that my transaction was successful and complete, I proceeded to cancel my Verizon home phone and internet service.  Verizon cancelled my email when they cancelled my phone and internet.
I was told via email from a Verizon Your Domain specialist that I needed Broadband Essentials to keep my email.  I DO NOT NEED INTERNET SERVICE.  I HAVE INTERNET SERVICE.  According to Verizon Your Domain I do not need Verizon internet to keep my email!
If this isn't bad enough, I've been charged TWICE and I still have no email!
Can someone please help me?  I followed the instructions to a T and have spent two hours on the phone with absolutely NO RESOLUTION!
    Solved!

  • Verizon Your Domain - how do I get started?

I see that you can keep your existing verizon.net email address by using Verizon Your Domain. When I go to purchase it asks me to enter  a domain name to check availability?  What do I do here to get me existing email accounts to carry over? Do I just create and domain name? HELP

Yes, you will have to choose a domain name as part of the service. You will link the domain service to your existing @verizon.net accounts.

  • I tried to pay my bill and My Verizon says my bill is paid in full but they never charged my bank account.

Title says it all.  For some reason Verizon never charged my bank account for my bill but it says it is paid for.  I'm all for getting a free month of cell service but I think it would be best if I get this fixed so I don't spend the money I was going to use for the bill and then have Verizon randomly charge my account lol.  Anyone else have this problem in the past or know what I should do to fix it?

    Try this

  • NEED TO SPEAK WITH CUSTOMER SERVICE REP -- Verizon sent my bill to collections

My name is Timothy.  I would like to dispute a Verizon Wireless debt on a closed account.  The account in question was opened in July of 2011 and suspended over the phone, due to unemployment, in the year 2013. Prior to the suspension of the aforementioned account, I was current on all payments, not once having any late payments associated with the account.  I was told that suspending the account could be handled easily over the phone, however, I was uninformed at the time that the suspension of an account was only allowed for a certain amount of days before the account resumed repayment.  I received no verbal, or written communication (e.g. bills, letters, e-mails) to inform me that the account had been resumed, so a debt continued to collect with the Verizon account without my knowledge.  The phone never had service, even while I was apparently being charged, so I assumed my account was still suspended. I only became aware of this debt when I viewed my credit report through Credit Karma. Once discovering the debt, I then purchased a full credit report through all three credit bureaus and found that I have a debt to Verizon Wireless totaling $607.00 for the account in question.  I now have a derogatory mark on my credit report, due to a bill that I did not know existed. I then attempted to contact a Verizon representative in order to dispute the charges, and I was unable to reach a human representative.  I did however find the address for the Verizon Wireless NRO. I sent a my dispute letter March 30th, 2014, and have yet to hear from a representative.  Therefore, I would like to request that I be contacted about the debt to discuss my options. I would prefer to speak to a person, rather than be shuffled around electronically or on the customer service line. Please help ASAP, as this is greatly affecting my credit, and thus various aspects of my life. I know that if I post my phone number on this forum that it will be edited out, so if any representative can email me, I will gladly provide my contact information as well as my account number (which I just found today by using a loophole I found on this forum to reach a human representative on the phone by calling the main customer service line, pressing 6, and then pressing 4.) Please make this process easier for me than it has been, as I am very displeased with the customer service I have received so far. Thank you, and I look forward to hearing from a representative.

Elector, I have seen you posting similar things to other posts throughout this forum. While I appreciate that you are trying to help, it seems that you did not read the entirety of my post.
I received no communication regarding this bill. Nor did the representative I spoke to about suspending the account tell me that there was a time frame for suspension. Nor was I informed that there is suspension with billing. There were absolutely no letters, no phone calls, and no emails about the charges, or about my account being sent to collections. The phone had no service, so I was unaware that it was continuing to be billed. It doesn't make much sense to be billed for a phone that I cannot use.
I do not appreciate you attempting to discredit my post (and others like it) by telling me there is absolutely nothing that can be done, when I have seen others in this forum, with the exact same problem, who have had their issues resolved. I will be persistent in finding resolution for this issue, because Verizon was not persistent in contacting me, despite the fact that I was a loyal customer who was always current on their bill until the suspension. Regardless, Verizon should have contacted me to tell me the bill was not in suspension anymore, and I would have gladly paid the bill, as I had with every bill prior to that. The issue is not non-payment, the issue is their lack of communication with their loyal customers.
People who try to invalidate customer complaints (without complete information on the matter) are the reason that Verizon can get away with negligent customer service, and I'm sure I'm not the only one who would appreciate it if you would only post in this forum if you have ACTUAL assistance to offer. Again, thank you for your help but I would prefer to speak to a Verizon Representative about this matter.

  • Verizon email domain back after disconnect

    Dearest Verizon-
Been on hold too many times with too many tech reps and nobody can help me.  I contacted you about moving months ago and was not aware that I had to register my email on the domain and pay in order to keep it PRIOR to disconnection...now my service is disconnected and I can't retrieve my emails.
I am willing to pay the $19.99 in order to keep my email I need it to be reactivated or speak with someone that can take my card over the phone.  Can anyone help me? My verizon email account is connected to a lot of personal military correspondence and I need it back.
    Thank you in advance.

  • Why can't Verizon lower my bill more than $40 by changing plans? Do I need to drop service and find another carrier?

I went to Verizon last night to change my plan and the customer service rep was very rude and un helpful. I want to lower my bill and when he couldn't I told him I would have to look into another carrier and his response was okay you can do that but they won't have the coverage we do. Really??!!! That's all you can say to your customer who is about to drop your service??

customer service can only offer you what's available. They can't just willy nilly offer you discounts. I'm not sure why people don't get this. $40 a month is $500 a year. That's nothing to sneeze at.

  • Is it possible to get a response from anyone at Verizon about my bill?

I need to speak with someone about getting an adjustment to my bill. I have called 3 times, and each time, I get put on hold for various amounts of time anywhere from 5 minutes to 20 minutes, then there is a sound of a ringing phone, as if I'm being transferred, then the phone goes dead. I have to start over. This is appalling service! Is there no way to speak to a human or even email a human? Is there a special number to call? If so, it's hidden on the website. This is ridiculous.

  • Verizon wireless billing error

i have been with Verizon wireless since 2006,With two lines, cell phone and broadband/laptop.2010 my 2 year contract period for the third time had been fullfilled.I upgraded to the Droid 1-phone line w/data,By doing this i no longer needed broadband #/laptop line. The Verizon employee doing my new contract/upgrade advised me that she was putting my broadband # on suspension for one day to avoid being charged  a fee for early termination. The end result is Verizon has been billing me for broadband line that has no attached equipment rendering it useless for over two years. When I contacted customer service they assured me this issue would be resolved and admitted this oversight was due to Verizon employee error,in the amount of over $1,200 dollars. One week later i contacted customer service once again to check statis of refund this time I was talking to a location in Washington state and was informed my previouse contact was with a south carolina location ?.After a fourtyfive minute conversation with a Verizon rep.she came to the same conclusion,But told me Verizons policy allowed no more than six months reimbursement,I requested to speak with a manager,She confirmed my request put me on a short hold and returned offering me twelve months reimbursement even though this was against company policy.I said thank you and requested a supervisor once again.Put on hold and than greeted by floor manager "Nate".Nate then informed me that again Verizon protocal would only allow A six month credit.I then inquired about twelve month offer I had recieved moments ago.Nate states";you should of taken that offer now all i will do is six months.".I was not provided a service or product in any shape size or form and was being charged for nothing.

I changed accounts within Verizon. They told me I have a refund coming of $58. Then they BILL ME for $58. I told them exactly what the customer service rep said that a refund of $58 would be made because I "paid ahead". Well, guess whats on my credit report? Unbelievable, lying corporation. P.S. They didn't post three of my payments to the correct account, too. I wish I could just Sue them without all of the freaking hassle of doing so. They report to the credit bureaus, but we can't report them. Unjust freaking system.

  • Why are reliable Verizon customers being advance billed

I just switched to the all in one plan and added the internet jet pack and got billed for this month and next for all of may phones also.  When I asked a Verizon store rep, she replied that it was to protect Verizon against people who don't pay their bills.  BUT ... if I have been a loyal Verizon customer for many years, why should I be punished for those who don't pay their bills. I recommend Verizon renew their policy and REWARD good customers and exempt them from this practice.  I would be good customer service.

As Horses547 has said, Verizon has always billed you in advance. If you go look at your old bills, you will see that you have always paid a month ahead for service.

  • Using your own domain name on your Verizon personal website

If you go to the Verizon Site-Builder page and then click FAQ, you read this for #13:
    13.  Can I use my own domain name?   Answer:  If you own a domain name and would like to use it as the main address of your site, you will need to make arrangements with your domain name provider to redirect visitors to your Verizon Online mysite.verizon.net address from your current domain name.
Verizon Online does not currently offer personalized domain name registration, but we are working on providing this option to you in the near future.  Updates will be provided on the Site Builder home page, so check back often.
The above statement has been listed for quite some time.  Does anyone know whether this option is now available?  (There's no updated statement about it on the Site Builder home page, and there is no one to ask!)

  • Outrageous bill and excessing usage

Are we signed up to play the role of "the rich and ignorant?"  Evidentlywe are, bc I have been getting outrageous bills and claims that I am using 20 g each month all of a sudden and there is no way.  Before the 4g (4th generation) service, my family had no problems doing what we wanted through our tablets or phones.  Now, we have to "starve" our enjoyment of the digital age and education time due to being charged these fees.  We see no difference that would validate Verizon's outrageous bill.  The service is no faster than it was and it actually drags like it s r struggles to load our pages.  So Verizon's answer is always to check to see if this is running in the background, etc.  NO....WE CHECKED EVERYTHING ALREADY.  EVERYTHING IS TURNED OFF LIKE WE HAVE A BASIC PHONE AND ITS STILL HAPPENING.  Why should we have to spend countless hours doing what verizon should've done before they pushed these phones and service in our faces.  It's Verizon's job to give their customers the best Problem-free service.  Not ours.  We have jobs.  The Times we have to spend on our devices is supposed to be for our enjoyment or whatever else we may choose to do with it.  Not working for verizon and receiving A bill for it.
Anyone care to fix this?  verizon perhaps.....
