View Usage Reports on search site

Hi,
In Sharepoint 2013, I have a Staff Directory based on a Entreprise Search. I found Popularity and Search Reports but I would like to  know the requests with : who do to request and what kind of request is done.

    We don't want to go trough each site collection and run the site collection reports to see the statistics.

    Unfortunately, Usage Reporting capabilities in SharePoint 2013 have been greatly reduced and I suspect they will be further reduced in coming versions.  Here are some third-party approaches in varying levels of complexity:
    Google analytics
    HarePoint
    DocAve Analytics for SharePoint
    Webtrends

  • Search REST API - Usage reports

    Hi,
    We use the Search REST API to execute queries. 
    The Usage reports on the Site Collection under Popularity and Search Reports do not contain any data.
    Is there a way to get usage data for queries executed by the REST API?

    You suggest running queries directly against the SP log database? I see it described at http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/hh769359(v=office.14).aspx as well.
    I always thought this was strictly prohibited in a production environment and will void warranty, but is the logging database an exception to this?

  • Usage Report Shows Zero (0) Hits

    All:
    When I view the Excel Usage report for my site collection as described here
    here, it shows zero hits.  Same for my top-level site page.  I've gone into Central Admin and confirmed the Usage and Health Data Collection service is running
    as described
    here and that it is properly configured.  Via PowerShell, I've also confirmed the EnableReceivers property is set to true as described
    here .
    Still no luck.  Nothing but 0 hits reported.   Any other suggestions on how I can get this working?

    User analytics take 24 to generate data so check after 24 hours.

    id you configure Usage Collection from the SharePoint Central Admin.
    Central Administration > Monitoring > Configure usage and health data collection
    Please ensure Enable usage data collection (is checked)
    Events to log:
    Content Import Usage
    Content Export Usage
    Page Requests (This option must be checked)
    Feature Use
    Search Query Usage
    Site Inventory Usage
    Timer Jobs
    Rating Usage
    After you enable Web Analytics , SharePoint automatically does not start making analytical data unless we specify data that needs to be captured and saved on the analytics service application database.
    SharePoint will created a service application database typically named as "WSS_Logging" after you provision Usage Collection Service.
    If this service is already present , then I would suggest to reconfigure usage and logging service once again. It should work.

    To get usage reporting of the sites in SharePoint 2013,do we need to enable search?
    I am looking for basic reporting like no of hits and no of users monthly and weekly. can we get this with out search.

    required reports and my advice is to investigate one that suits your needs best.

  • Number of Page View is showing zero for Site web Analytics Reports

    Hi,
    We have enabled Site Web Analytics reports in our Site Collection but the Number of Page views is showing zero for all the dates. We have checked all the events to capture in Site Collection Audit settings, Reporting feature is also activated but still the
    count shows 0 for all the dates.
    There are other Site Collection that exists under that Web Application but they show the count for Number of Page views in Site.
    Any help would be appreciated.

    find usage proxy id with following command:

  • Switch usage reports to reflect public site on iTunes U?

    Our school started with a private iTunes U channel, then we converted it and went public (Thunderbird School of Global Management). All my usage reports are coming to me with 0 views. I think it is still giving me stats from the private site, which is no longer being utilized. How do I switch this over to see stats from the public site only?

    I'm tootling my own horn here, but if you like, you can just use Woolamaloo to tell you what the aggregate sizes are for "anything" in iTunes U. Woolamaloo already knows how to parse that ginormous XML file. Be sure to grab the latest copy on the Woolamaloo website.
    If you select something in the main window, a little field at the bottom of the window says how much storage it consumes. You can also find out storage sizes by selecting something in the main window, then opening an inspector for that "thing" (there's a site inspector, division inspector, section inspector, course inspector ... etc., etc.). Each inspector shows all the info the XML returns -- even values that aren't yet fully realized in the request XSD (XML is grabbed "maximally" by Woolamaloo using the web service).

    every two weeks by some users who do

    Is there any way for me to know how many total subscribers we have in the on our Public Site? I see on the site disk usage reports the number of people who have subscribed that week, but I want the overall total.

    Hello,
    Our college just went through the migration so i am speaking from this experience which, hopefully, might help you.
    1. Make sure your Apple User ID is the same as in your iTunes U Admin site primary admin's ID.
    2. You need to enter your school's primary admin sign in URL in Safari. The URL for your institution should be something like this: https://deimos.apple.com/WebObjects/Core.woa/SignIn/cwu.edu
    3. A new window will come up on top of iTunes requiring you to sign in using your Apple User ID and password. Enter them and click Sign In.
    4. Now you should see on the upper right hand of the screen in your iTunes admin site, a new button you never saw before. I do not remember the exact name but it is something like Migrating to Public Site Manager. And it is in red color. When you click that button, it will walk you through the process step by step.

  • Popularity trend/usage report is not working in sp2013. Data was not being processed to EVENT STORE folder which was present under the Analytics_GUID folder.

     I am working in a sharepoint migration project. We have migrated one SharePoint project from moss2007 to sp2013. Issue is when we are clicking on Popularity trend > usage report,  it is throwing an error.
    Issue: The data was not being processed to EVENT STORE folder which was present under the
    Analytics_GUID folder. Also data was not present in the Analytical Store database.
    In log viewer I have found the bellow error.

    I have verified few things in server which are mentioned below
    Two timer jobs (Microsoft SharePoint Foundation Usage Data Processing, Microsoft SharePoint Foundation Usage Data Import) are running fine.
    APPFabric Caching service has been started.
    Analytics_GUID folder has been
    shared with
    WSS_ADMIN_WPG and WSS_WPG and Read/Write access was granted
    .usage files are getting created and also the temporary(.tmp) file has been created.
    uasage  logging database for uasage data being transported. The data is available.
    Please provide pointers on what needs to be done.

    According to your description, my understanding is that you could not use popularity trend after you migrated SharePoint 2007 to SharePoint 2013.

  • Usage Report not showing data

    Hello,
    When I am opening usage reports under Site Settings > Site Administraton > Popularity Trends, i cannot see any data after 9th May 2014. It stopped working and all the numbers coming to zero after 9th may. 
    I tried many solutions that are given on internet for this issue like restarting timer job, enabling usage on usage service application, permission on log files, etc.. but none of them worked for me.
    Please help me out. Is usage report depend on any service? search is working fine, usage service application is working fine.

    For troubleshooting your issue, please take steps as below:
    Make sure the Web Analytics Data Processing Service and Web Analytics Web Service are started on each server.
    Make sure web analytics service application is started
    Deactivate and Activate the site collection Features on Reporting.
    Check the detail error message of ULS log  to determine the exact cause of the error.

  • Usage reports - Can we increase the number of days to show in the daily report?

    Hello Friends,
    When I navigate to site setting >Popularity trends>Usage report and generate the excel report, I get to see the Dialy report and Monthly report.
    In Dialy report I can see only for 14 days, which I would like to alter to show me 30 days of data rather.
    Can you please let me know how to do this and/or whether is this possible.

    In Usage report, number of days is determined by RecentPopularityTimeFrame property, and it is 14 by default. You could change the recent time period to be anything between 1 and 14 days.

    I want to get usage of my SharePoint site. What I've learnt is that in SharePoint 2013, analysis of the data has been completely redesigned and is now a component Search Service Application. Just for getting the number of hits on my website I don't want
    to configure the entire Search Service Application. Is there any alternative way from where I can get the information. By reading any Database tables or anything... ?

  • 4g VZAcess uses SMS for usage reporting

    The new VZacess ver 7.6 uses SMS to retrieve data usage from Verizon. I had to turn on SMS on my Data Stick to get usage via VZAcess and for messages about usage. Then I started getting unsolicited messages that I have to pay for. I contacted VZ support and they turned off premium message. They believed that the Verizon messages would not be blocked. I am not sure if Verizon messages are blocked but VZAcess will not retrieve usage since the change. I will put up with not being able to retrieve usage via VZAcess and have to just logon to the web site to check usage.
    I do not have a block on one of my other lines and I added that number to the SMS list of phones to send usage messages to.
    I wish that they did not change the usage reporting, in the older version they uses HTTP to retrieve usage data.
    I also wish that they would fix the WEB page so that if you have a 10 gb plan it says 10 and not 0. They are cutting off the 1 in 10 so it say I have a 0 gb plan. The usage bar on the WEB page doesn't reflect usage either.
