Views not created in Oracle.

The Migration process did not create views in the oracle schema. The access source database has 60 queries. There are no errors in the error log about view creation. As I understand, the migration process should convert the queries in access 2000 as views in Oracle 9i. Any ideas? Thanks in advance.

Hi,
You mention that the MS Access database contained 60 queries. Can you please verify the following:
1. In the Source Model of the Migration Workbench, a node titled "Queries(60)" is displayed in the database tree.
2. In the Oracle Model of the Migration Workbench, a node titled "Views(60)" is displayed in the Users | <database_name>.
Basically for each captured MS Access query, there should be a corresponding view created in the source model. If errors were reported during the mapping phase, then such errors will not be reported in the error.log file. I would suggest reviewing the contents of the Log Window and check for any parsing errors reported during the Capture phase of the migration process. You can access the Log Window via the Tools | Log Window menu option of the workbench. From this window, select the Edit | Preferences menu option and select "Error Messages" to just display any reported error messages. Please refer to the documentation for further information on the migration of queries. Some may require manual changes, if they failed during the parsing process.
I hope this helps.
Regards,
Hilary

  • Invoking a web service not created using oracle web service lib

    Hi All,
    I have a need to invoke my web service from oracle sql command. My web service not created using oracle web service library, but it is created using axis c++ libraries. Is it possible to do so,
    Thanks in advance,
    Regards,
    Monica

    In order to call out from the database process, is SQL (or PL/SQL) you need to generate some client code, that understand the details about the specific of the service you want to invoke and can produce the correct SOAP request. Once this proxy is uploaded in the Database, you can use it.
    There is a set of Database Web services samples that should help you get started. You can also take a look at the developer's guide - see Developing a Web Service Client in the Database.
    Hope it answers your question.

  • Downloading/ Viewing Notes Created on a N96 to an ...

    Hello All.
    Does anyone know of a process where one can:
    1) View 'Notes' created on my N96 on an Apple Mac (i.e. using the Nokia Multimedia Transfer app).
    2) Download/ Sync the Notes file(s) to an Apple Mac.
    Please note that I've installed the Nokia Multimedia Transfer application. It's a very powerful app, but I can't see where Notes are stored.
    Thanks,

    You can sync your phone with Outlook, export the Notes in Outlook as vCalendar, import those vCalender to the Mac.
    Mac iCal allows the vCal importing. I'm not sure if it allows a batch importing, but you can check "Exporting calendar to a phone"

    Hi,
    I'm trying to install webcenter suite installation on windows 2008 R2 server.
    As a starting point installed oracle db 11.2.0.1
    As a second step, tried to run rcu script and found that the ODS and ODSSM schemas are not created as a part of the installation.
    Any idea why they are not created or how they can be created?
    Thanks,

  • Webservice not created in oracle application server after deployment

    Hi,
    I just tried to deploy fulfillmentESB project(SOADemo Projects) from Jdev to Oracle App server control. But there was no webservice created in Oracle application server control under webservices link....plz help me...
    Actually the steps which i had followed to deploy that fulfillment project are:
    * right-click fulfillmentESB
    * select Register with ESB, Integration connection
    after which the fulfillment webservice can be seen in ESB control as well as application server control. But i could not able to see webservice created in application server control.
    Also i tried deploying the fulfillmentESB using EAR file - no use
    So kindly give me some steps to solve this issue...

    I can see you also posted in the (proper) SOA Suite forum.
    Please do not cross-post unless you really have to (for example when in the other forum no one seems to have the answer).

  • CUA: Model view not created automatically in Child System

    Hi, I try to create a CUA with just a child system thru txn SCUA. The result of generation is good and all green. The part that is not right is I do not see the model view created in txn BD64 of child system, I can see it created in master system. Both RFC of master and child system are working fine. I do not see errors at WE20 & WE21 as well. Under this situation, I can see CUA active in master system but not child system. Hence, CUA is not working as it says in master system.
    I have setup CUA couple of times before but this is the first time that I encounter such a weird situation. Does anyone has any clue where could have gone wrong?
    Edited by: Annie Chan on Jul 25, 2008 5:23 PM

    Hi Everyone,
    It is indeed a RFC issue but it was a silly mistake with the incorrect hostname that I am suppose to connect to. Hence, the Distribution Model doesn't exist in the child system. Nervertheless, your advise does point to the right direction.
    Thanks so much for your input. Points are granted as accordingly.

    However, I selected the stock price measures and it worked ok.
    Is there a size limit here? I am looking at Oracle OLAP and BIBeans to replace our Cognos installation,

    I suspect your metadata is incomplete. Please refer to the bi_checkconfig utility to test your metadata. This can be found on the documentation section of the BI Beans section of OTN:
    Displaying Information about your BI Beans Client Configuration using the bi_checkconfig utility
    http://www.oracle.com/technology/products/bib/htdocs/904/tech_notes/bicheckconfig/bi_checkconfig_tn.html
    This will allow you to test the structures in your metadata to ensure each object (dimension, cube) can in fact be queried.
    Hope this helps

  • BIB-9505 Oracle OLAP did not create cursor

    Hi, I am in New Presentation Wizard trying to create a new Cross tab and receive these error messages:

    Actually I am following the example downloaded from www.iafsoft.com (http://www.iafsoft.com/downloads/index.htm presentation number 32106). The example involves only a one dimensional and one measure simple cube which resides in Analytic Workspace. It was demonstrated in one of the Oracle OpenWorld sessions in SF back in November 02. So I trust that it will work.
    The environment I have is
    Oracle 9.2.0.2.1 (Enterprise Edition)
    JDeveloper 9.0.3
    Windows 2000 (SP2)
    256M memory
    (all these run on the same laptop)
    In this environment JDeveloper can connect to the database, can access the catalog owned by BIBCAT, can display cubes owned by BIBDEMO, can query data residing in AW through OLAP_TABLE, and can also see the dimension and measure that reside in AW from the presentation wizard. So all this convinces me that installation is ok.
    Here's how the error occurs: In the presentation wizard, I select the measure from the left window and move to the right window. I then click the "Next" button to display the layout editor. Then when I click the "Next" button, the wizard won't go to the next step. If I click the "Finish" button instead, the error message will show up.
    I am really stumped (for the last several days already) as to w[i]Long postings are being truncated to ~1 kB at this time.

  • Pl/sql Procedure is Not Creating With the CLOB data Type

    Hi,
    I am Using Oracle 10g Express Edition Release2.... My Doubt is While creating a table With CLOB Data Type the table is created successfully,but while Creating a Procedure With the CLOB Data type i am getting an Error Message
    2667/5 PL/SQL: Statement ignored
    2667/24 PLS-00382: expression is of wrong type
    then i tried With the Varchar2(30000) the Procedure is Created Successfully note i have not changed any thing in my code except the data type.
    I am Just Confused ......Why the Procedure is not Created with CLOB Data type?
    Please advice ...
    Thank U
    SHAN

    hi,
    Thanks for reply....Another Example
    CREATE TABLE USER_MAS (USER_ID     VARCHAR2 (20 Byte),MAIL_ID     VARCHAR2 (255 Byte));
    set serveroutput on
    declare
    atable varchar2(64) := 'USER_MAS';
    acolumn varchar2(64) := 'MAIL_ID';
    avalue varchar2(64) := 'NEWYORK' ;
    dyn_sql clob;
    begin
    dyn_sql := 'update '||atable||' set '||acolumn||' = '''||avalue|| '''' ;
    dbms_output.put_line(dyn_sql);
    execute immediate dyn_sql;
    end;
    commit ;
    Error at line 2
    ORA-06550: line 9, column 23:
    PLS-00382: expression is of wrong type
    ORA-06550: line 9, column 5:
    PL/SQL: Statement ignored
    When i Changed the Data type to varchar2(64)
    update USER_MAS set MAIL_ID = 'NEWYORK'
    PL/SQL procedure successfully completed.
    Commit complete.
    I like to Know the Reason Why the Procedure is Not Created in Oracle 10g XE DB
    Note :the Same Script i used in 11g DB the Procedure is Created Successfully....
    Why you need use CLOB or VARCHAR2 in your temp_num variable as you sending parameters as number?
    In the Procedure we are create some run time queries while executing the procedure. There are around 10 run time queries created.
    The size of each query is more than 4000 characters . We then add all the queries using union all after each query  to the clob variable as the normal varchar will not support.
    Please Advice
    Thank U

  • WS not created in application server control after deployment

    Hi,
    I just tried to deploy fulfillmentESB project(SOADemo Projects) from Jdev to Oracle App server control. But there was no webservice created in Oracle application server control under webservices link....plz help me...
    Actually the steps which i had followed to deploy that fulfillment project are:
    * right-click fulfillmentESB
    -Indhu

    Here is an example of the two steps required to deploy a Web Service application, using the ant task for the 10.1.3.x release.
    <project name="CalculatePrice" default="all" basedir="." xmlns:o="antlib:oracle">
      <property file="build.properties"/>
      <property name="deployeruri"        value="deployer:oc4j:${oc4j.host}:${oc4j.admin.port}"/>
    <!--
      <property name="deployeruri" value="deployer:oc4j:opmn://${oc4j.host}:${oc4j.opmn.port}/home" />
    -->
      <property name="bindweb.website" value="default-web-site"/>
      <property name="app.name" value="sdots"/>
      <target name="deploy">
        < o :deploy file="${basedir}/dist/${app.name}.ear"
                  deploymentname="${app.name}" deployeruri="${deployeruri}"
                  userid="${oc4j.admin.user}" password="${oc4j.admin.password}"/>
        < o :bindWebApp deploymentname="${app.name}" deployeruri="${deployeruri}"
                      userid="${oc4j.admin.user}" password="${oc4j.admin.password}"
                      webmodule="webservice-web" websitename="${bindweb.website}"
                      contextroot="/sdots"/>
      </target>Not sure if this applies to your specific scenario.
    ps. cross posting on the different OTN forums is generally not a good idea as you get threads out of sync. In this specific case, you are running into an issue with a specific ESB demo, and the ESB-SOA forum is definitly a better palce to get specific help.
    WS not created in application server control after deployment
    ps2. I guess you should got it by now, as I am not the first one to make this comment.
    Webservice not created in oracle application server after deployment
    ps3. We still don't have details about the versions you are using and the specific about THE SOADemo Projects - provide the information someone else would need in the forum that best correspond to your issue; the SOA one in this case ;-)

    Is it a bug in 11g or 10g?
    It was reported earlier in now archived beta forum. {thread:id=2214092}
    The current doc lists MV sites only (and "No" for Advanced Replication feature):
