Wait step in leave workflow wait for 20 min

hi friends
I have designed a multilevel ESS leave workflow. After 1st approver the status need to change from approved to sent after that i am using a wait step with condition REQ.STATUS = SENT. This condition is met immediately but it still waits there nearly 15 to 20 min after that only it goes to the next approver. I dont no y its happening even after the condition is met. There is background job SWWCOND is directly related to this wait step. I have scheduled this job for every 3 min. But its long time to execute. If i remove the wait step its shows dump. How to minimize the time of execution of the wait step.

Let me know if I've understood the problem correctly.
You have a workflow with two wait steps.
These wait steps rely on the running of SWWCOND
to check if the conditions have been satisfied.
The workflow takes 15-20 mins to pass the first condition, even
when already true, but takes little or no time to pass the second
condition.
SWWCOND is scheduled to run every 3 mins and doesn't run for more
than a couple of minutes.
My questions:
- Are you absolutely certain SWWCOND runs every 3 minutes?
Do you see that happening in SM37 while your workflow is waiting?
- You've said that the first condition is REQ.STATUS = SENT,
what is the second condition?
- Is REQ.STATUS a virtual attribute?
- Where is REQ.STATUS set to SENT? Outside of the workflow?
Does it do so without an error? Is a commit work done?

Workflow Manager for 10G min requirements

Besides having Workflow itself installed, does anyone know the minimum requirements for accessing/using Workflow Manager (e.g. required installed components, processes/services that must be running)?

We were under the belief Enterprise Manager 10G Grid Control was required. I found and tested that it can be accessed through the "Enterprise Manager 10G Application Server Control" when it's installed properly (see Metalink note: 265554.1).

Forms Timeout - Screen turn to blank if leave it idle for 5 min

Dear gurus,
I have a problem when ever i connect our oracle form through our OAS 10g, if the forms leave it idle after login more than 5 min and try to access again, the form will turn to blank screen and i have to force end task to re-connect again.
How do i overcome this problem?

It's the timeout of the http server (default value is 300 sec).
You can modify the timeout parameter with ASControl or in OHOME\apache\apache\conf\httpd.conf and restart the http server.

Workflow - WAIT for Condition not working

Dear All,
This is regarding the WAIT step of workflow. It was used as WAIT for Condition. The condition is to check the application server's time (system field) with some local variable of time. Till this step meets the condition specified, the workflow will wait for some x hours. If this condition is satisfied, the workflow is expected to continue with the next steps.
During the execution of the workflow, the wait step history shows that it is created successfully. But in ready status only. In the graphical log it shows No Agent along with this wait step.
There is no field wherein I could assign this agent. Also the job SWWDHEX is working fine.
Kindly help in sorting out this issue.

Thanks for your response. I tried using the Deadline monitoring in Activity step. I tried using the Requested Start tab with Expression for this step. The requirement is to hold the processing for some x hours depending on following business requirements -
If there is a ticket for issue with New status then wait for X hours. During this X hours the technician is supposed to acknowledge the ticket. So hold the workflow for X hours and as the X hours are over, check for ticket status. If the ticket status is still new then escalate it to managers saying ticket not acknowledged using Send Mail step.
Hence I had to ask the workflow to wait for some X hours.
The Requested Start tab requires the reference Date/Time + a direct input value (ZZ) for min or hour or day etc fields.
Now here the Time field is either a reference time AT which the activity will start with a delay of the ZZ Min/Hours/Day that we give in the next field OR this Time is exact value of time for which the workflow should hold.
e.g.
1.
Date 27-Dec-06
Time 00:10:00
+ 1 min
then here it is either 11 min, the workflow should hold for processing or
it is on 27th Dec 2006, 12 past 10'O clock time and when this time reaches, the workflow should wait for 1 min and then proceed.
As none of the above logics were working. So I couldn't exactly make out what this Time field actually requires. I thought it was time when reaches the workflow should hold for some ZZ min.
Again, the time value what I can give to this workflow is of application server time. But in the log of the workflow shows that work item refers to presentation server time everywhere. Hence it is difficult to compare also.
So finally I took a wait step wherein both the variables of the time were given to starting event of workflow.
Kindly help me in sorting out this issue.

I am trying to use the Mini Bridge in Adobe Photoshop CS6 (desktop) and all I get is "Waiting for Bridge CS6 ..." in the panel at the bottom of the screen.

I am running on a Core i7 iMac with 20GB or RAM and have already done the two applicable steps in the main Adobe help area relating to Switchboard (Error: Waiting for Bridge | Mini Bridge panel) to no avail. Any ideas?

Have you tried to start the bridge CS6 then open Photoshop CS6 try to use the mini bridge.
I have a problem on windows too. Sometimes when I open CS6 version 13.1.2 and try to use the mini bridge Its panels has a message Bridge must be running and there is a launch bridge button. When I use that button Bridge gets launched but may hangs before displaying its application window or anything in the mini bridge panel. I can terminate the bridge when this happens with windows task manager and start the bridge. After doing that the mini bridge launch button became a reconnect button using it mini bridge then work.
I can also start Bridge CS6 before Photoshop CS6 and mini bridge works as soon as Photoshop is up and running.

"waiting for GPS" forever

Hi,
I bought my nokia 5800xm 6 months back and back then i dint use the maps on it at all. Recently i tried to use it and updated the software n downloaded the maps for the region and all but the phone can't find GPS. I waited for 30 mins but still nothing. It cant even find my position. I checked all the settings n ive enabled even the A-GPS to lock the gps for once but without success. Please someone help me on this. Thanks

as input use the businessobject and the key. This will give you an overview of all workitems which worked whith this object instance.

GB 09 - MBP locks up for 3 mins after hitting record

Basically the whole computer locks up and I can't do anything. Get the spinning beach ball etc. Then after approx 3 mins the playhead starts and I can record and switch to other programs etc. This is incredibly painful and annoying to the recording process...waiting for 3 mins after I hit record.
I have a USB mic (AT2020) and thought this may be the issue however even with the internal mic it does the same thing.
The even bigger quirk in all this is that if I reboot the MBP and load GB 09 I can record instantly on the first try...every subsequent attempt invokes the 3 min lockup...
FYI I have a Mid 2009 MBP with 500gb 7200rpm HDD, 2.8Ghz Core Duo, and 8gb of 1066 RAM
Any help or suggestions will be much welcomed!

JMS unable to connect MQ after idling for 10 min

I have come up with a working Async/Sync interface which is MQ->XI->RFC->CRM and CRM->RFC->XI->MQ again.
I sent several messages to create tickets in CRM and CRM created the tickets successfully and sent back reponses back to MQ. MQ received the reponses messages.
The problem is that after sending the messages, I waited for 10min or so and I started to send messages to create tickets in CRM. The tickets are again created successfully and tried to send the reponses messages to the receiver MQ but in the Communication Channel Monitoring, error is shown:

So I have to stop the particular JMS channel and start it again in order to send messages over to the receiver MQ.
Anyone has an idea why is it so? Is it a MQ problem or JMS adapter problem existing on the XI part?
Appreciate if someone can give some acruate info to solve the hassle of restarting communication channel everytime.

I have identified that the problem lies with sending messages to remote queue.
For local queue, I am able to send messages anytime. Eg. sending 10 messages, wait for 30 min and send another 5. The JMS communication channel works fine.
For remote queue, I sent 10 messages and wait for just 5 min and sent another 1. The communication channel again threw out such error message again. In short, it is unable to put the message in MQ. I have to restart the com channel again, in order to send the message over to MQ.

So is there any way to configure the JMS adapter to connect the MQ as it wish with success and send the messages anytime of the day? The MQ queue admin has decided to use remote queue and it's hard to convince them to switch to local queues and I am not an expert on MQ technologies, I can't list out the pros and cons of having local queues.

Workflow WAIT FOR EVENT STEP deadline not working

Hi,
Need some inputs for the experienced people;
I have a wait for event step in a workflow with deadline monitoring (Latest End) but it doesn't seem to work.
Ofcourse, all the required setting are in place and deadline works fine for other Activity steps.
The problem is specific to Wait for event step.
The alternative is having a fork but I just want to know why the wait step with deadline doesn't work.

I'm facing the same thing in my project now, I'm wandering if you could help me with this one.
I have this wait for an event step wich is configured to wait 4 minutes since the work item creation. I've also selected 'Modeled' on the Action field, and a display text for the outcome.
But in one of my tests, the event hasn't occurred and the workflow stuck in this task forever.

I am unable to implement the wait for event successfully in my workflow..
Sceanrio: I have created a container element in the WF with of type a BOR(ISUPARTNER) whose CREATED event is being waited for in the workflow.
Then in the WAIT FOR EVENT step in WF I m giving putting in the details of the event..
Then putting a send mail after this.
Problem: Now my workflow is throwing error and the send mail task is not executed even after the said event is done in the system..
Plz... suggest as to how to do it..

Now for this I m actually creating a container element of type BOR B in my workflow n putting a step WAIT FOR EVENT in which I m putting the CREATED event. For triggering the CREATED event no instance is required...
- Once again, Wait For Event step is only possible when the Object Key is available to the Workflow container when the flow reaches the event (are you waiting for a specific ISUPARTNER to be created or you don't care as long as some ISUPARTNER is created).
my event CREATED is not getting triggered automatically...
- First check if the standard system triggers the event for your object. If not explore different options for doing that.
For your scenario, check if you can trigger a custom event BORB_Created for BORA when BORB is created and use BORA in the Wait step.

Wait for a few minutes before starting a backgroung step in workflow

Dear All,
I have a requirement where in I have to make sure the user has completed a particular workitem. The workitem is to open the transaction PP02. I cannot make it asynchronous and use a terminating event as I could not see any logical place where I could trigger the terminating event on SAVE.
Now, I am trying to check if the database is updated on save of the transaction and before I do that I would want the workflow to wait for a few mintues.Is this approach correct?
Is there any way I can make the workflow to wait for a few mintues before it starts the next backgound step?
Please suggest.

I think it is better option to use the WAIT Step
as you said that until you save the data in the trabsaction you don't want to proceed further then, try like this
Create a wait step and use the option wait for condition.
define a element in the workflow of type char01( assume TEST) .
Pass X to this element from the transaction when ever you save the data.
and define the condition for the wait step in such a way that until the value of TEST = X do not proceed further.
