Waited for 2 months for E51 and it died 3 days lat...

I dont know how to describe how angry I am.. I have read one million reviews about buying a cellphone, and the uninamos winner was E51... after having bought I realised it was the truth, E51 is a powephone, a true bussiness model for those who dont care about a camera and games...
But one question.... WHYYYYYYY does nokia put "software updater" option open for any1 if the mentioned process is able to kill the phone???? I did the software updater and did EVERYTHING by the book, and still my phone died by itself in the MIDDLE of the updating process... Now when I turn my phone on it just says "mode mode" and NOKIA logo below it.... the hard reset doesnt work, left the battery out for a while now, nothing happened, went through a bunch of discussions here on nokia forum, and nothing.... now I have to send it to a nokia store and wait for a month for it to be delivered to me back.... dead phone......

My device "died" during an update. What should I do?
Firstly, it is normal for the Nokia device display to go blank during an update.
However, it may be that the Nokia Software Updater application has lost contact with your Nokia device and the device display is suspended.
* Disconnect the Nokia device from the PC's USB cable and remove the device's battery for 5 seconds.
* Re-insert the battery then press and hold the device power button for 1 second.
* Re-connect the Nokia device to the PC's USB cable and wait for 10 seconds.
* Try the Nokia Software Updater again
If there is no response from your Nokia device, try to recover the device by formatting it:
* Press and hold the following device keys: 3, green and *
* Press the device power button for 1 second
* Continue to hold down 3, green and * until you hear the device start-up tone.
If there is still no response:
* Take the Nokia device to your nearest Nokia Care point. If the device is within its warranty period, Nokia will repair the device under the usual warranty terms and conditions.

    What turns the trial into the live software is signing in. If you sign in with the Adobe ID that has the subscription, the trial becomes live. First check your account on Adobe.com to make sure that the subscription is live.

    The Time Capsule has a defective power supply and it needs to be exchanged as soon as possible. Soon, you will not be able to power it back up at all after it shuts down.
    Take the Time Capsule to an Apple Store, if you have one near you, or contact Apple Support to get the process started.

    Updated to OSX Lion and about 3 days later I can't acces my own website from my computer, but it works on other computers. Using a java wordpress site, can't even access my admin panel. Anybody else have this problem. What might have caused this. Even tried reinstall Lion, no success

    reinstalled 10.6.3 and now several days later the mail buttons 'send' 'reply' 'reply all' are frozen (not greyed out, just completely unresponsive).  also every other keystroke or so in the body of the email returns an alert bleep (but the charactor seems to be entered without a problem).  i can recieve mail and all the "connection status" checks in Mail Connection Doctor return posative connections.  so far i tried removing the com.apple.mail.plist permissions from my library and then repairing permissions with disk utility, as well as running applejack.  no luck.  any suggestions?

    Hmmm, interesting problem & not on 10.6 at the moment, but quit Mail & in the Finder go to...
    Users/YourUserName/Library/Mail
    Do a Get Info & see if it's locked or what rights are there.

  • Waiting 2 months for broadband-already paid activa...

    Was just wondering if anyone has experience this level of poor customer service and terrible organization from BT. Its so bad I'm considering turning this into a legal matter.
    I originally ordered my phone line and broadband service from BT in mid January. I initially waited just a week or so before the engineer came around and sorted it all out. I was then charged £63 from my account for the activation fee and also first month rental. I shortly had to move houses after the activation due to an issue with my house and was completely fine knowing that I would have to wait addtional time for the engineer to come to my new place. The engineer previously came in 1 week so it should be quick right? WRONG. I called up BT to request a change address, the **bleep** on the phone cancelled my services and package - he claims it was a "miscommunication" - and said that he will call back the next day to sort it out. He didnt call the next day. And I had to call and be put on hold for roughly 3 hours all together to get a date for my services to be installed-note that this was no longer a simple address change-they had to create a whole new order and service for me. The date given was 12th of February. Shortly after, someone else on the BT customer support team messed with my account-probably trying to sort this out-and the date got pushed to the 17th of February which is today. I thought fine, its been 1 month but I can wait 5 more days. Today at 1 PM I get an email saying that my broadband will be activated on the 3rd of March. I have paid a total of around £63 for around 2 days use of broadband. I honestly never knew that a company such as BT could have such poor management skills and customer service skills. This is absolutely ridiculous. Im hoping some moderator on the forums will be able to help me out here. Has anyone experienced something like this?

  • Ipod touch 2g not used for months, battery drained and taking way too long to charge

    I had an ipod touch 2g that got wet a couple of months ago. They were inside a jacket pocket when the rain started pouring. After that, the screen only turn white when turned on. I just had the LCD replaced, but since i havent used it in months, the battery has been drained. I plugged it into my PC to charge for a couple of hours already, but its still not enough. The lowbatt icon is there, but iTunes still doesnt recognize it despite being plugged in for a few hours already.
    Does it really take this long to charge an ipod touch that has been completely drained and not used for months? I'm worried there might be other problems besides the LCD when it got wet before. Should I have it checked again for battery charging problems? Or am i just being impatient?

    I tried charging it through the adapter, still got the same problem. So i had it checked again and the battery apparently also needed to be replaced. Haven't had any problems with it since then!

    The story is, I need to wait more than half hour to get online representative, then they will tell you to call someone.
    That takes another half hour! So, after I fininshed this, I am still waiting for this POST SALE TEAM answering my phone.
    I am sorry I cannot afford so much time on this.

    What is your fiscal year ? Jan to Dec / Apr-Mar?
    Depreciation has to be posted month by month and unless postings are made for Jan and Feb, you cannot post to susbsequent months Mar etc.
    If Depreciation is already posted for Jan / Feb - check whether any unplanned Depreciation ncan be posted.

    Make 3 different iCloud accounts and use ONLY for iMessage.   That will permanently fix your issue.

  • Why does mail insist to "organize by conversation"? I uncheck it and a few days later it is checked.

    I don't want my mail sorted by conversation yet I have to uncheck the choice every few days.... why does apple insist that you organize by conversation?  I hate it. 

    Unfortunately, something is just not right even though I pretty much always keep my Macs in good health. When I move that folder (~/Library/Containers/com.apple.mail) and let it create a new one, Mail stops remembering ANY preferences. I can move and resize my windows and change my Prefs, but when I quit and relaunch Mail it goes back to some default state with none of my changes honored. Furthermore, when I search for the string "DisplayInThreadedMode" with BBEdit within that folder and all its subfolders, nothing is found.
    Maybe it has to do with how many things I disable on the recent OS X versions. I routinely disable Spotlight, Notification Center, Dashboard, Auto-Save & Versions, Gatekeeper, Automatic App Termination.... you know, all that stuff that I never asked for and don't need/want ;-)
    Maybe I could try re-enabling Auto-Save or something. Still, no other apps ever seem to behave strangely when I set all these "hidden preferences" to disable these unwanted OS features. Who knows, maybe the Mail team (programmers) just started assuming something was available which they didn't used to assume in 10.8.

    This is what I wrote:
    Over 9 months and 20 openreach appointments and my broadband is still not fixed.   They have tried the "put up with it or we will just say your line is too long and we will stop all broadband service" about 3 times now, but when I point-out my next door neighbour is with TalkTalk, and their BB is fine, and also point out I've had much faster BB for years, they back down.
    My speed has gone from 2Mbps to 384Kbps, and every time the phone rings the broadband disconnects.
    I am an IT engineer that works from home and about 5 times a day I have to tell my customers that my BB has dropped out and then I explain that I've been waiting 9 months for BT to fix it.
    Also I used to set up my customers on BT Broadband but obviously I haven't been doing that for the last 9 months. 
    I'm sure that the fault is in the old aluminium cable that Openreach don't want to touch (in fact that is what the last engineer told me) .
    When you add up the cost of all these engineers calls, and the loss of business from the bad name you are getting, it would have been far cheaper to replace the cable.
