Web CRM Contact management

Does WEB CRM provide a facility for manually creating, grouping, and maintaining organisational contacts/ individuals, and within company hierarchies?
Can contacts may belong to various properties? (such as in B1)

Hi Lisa,
You can add users to a contact list using a filtered search  on the users form under bulk operations.  This should get you most of what you need.

  • I need a true multi-user contact management that do not involve the web

I have over 11,000+ contact in my contact data base and it is getting really slow, especailly when it try to update with iCloud.  I need a  true multi-user contact management that do not involve the web. i.e. I prefer thety sync as most of the time, I do not have access to internet at all!  I would perfer it wil work with apple contact in some way, but I need a robust contact data base... sort of the older style CRM without the web, but with sneaker net ablity and true client server speed!  I really do not feel like wriitng it in a relationship data base and do the hard work and prefer to just pay and get a top notch product.  Address book server seems to be great except I am running moutain lion and it does not work under that OS!
Any suggesytino would be sincerely appreciated.

As my friends above have pointed out, the sweet spot on the JVC is the size of a postage stamp; move a few degrees in any direction and the image takes a trip into the dumper. Even that can be worked with except when you're cheek to jowl with a producer and dp - one of whom had extremely bad breath - looking over a cut for approval. The screen is incredibly reflective so you'll see something from the next county over. Other than these two rather large problems, the imaging of the JVC looks nice.
The Flanders are decent products and I would like to see them in use other than the horrid conditions at NAB, but I wouldn't go overboard with praise for them like some of the grazers do on the Creative Cow. They have a 30 day no questions asked return policy and that gives you a chance to use them which is nice. I really hate their big white logo, if I was to get one I'd have them remove it first.
$3,000 to $4,000? You really want my opinion? Find a good used Sony BVM or Ikegami HTM, something with low hours on the tube or something that has been recently retubed. Those animals are still out there. Maybe by the time it dies all this flat panel bs may have worked itself out.

  • How do I get to the contacts manager on VZW web site? I last used it months ago but it doesn't work now.

A family member has an LG Revere flip phone, and when we need to add several or remove several contacts, it USED to be easier to go into the contacts management page on the VZW web site, but when I went to look tonight, it kept showing the Backup Assistant information for the wrong phone, and ONLY showing me the (nonexistent) contacts for that other phone. The Revere is the only non-smartphone on the account, so it's the only phone I have ever wanted to use the backup assistant and online contacts manager for.
Now that I think of it, tonight it was also asking me to agree to use the Backup Assistant, which I thought was strange because (as I said) we were already using it for that one phone but not the others. But when i agreed it showed me the (default -- generic Verizon) contacts for MY phone, not the one I was looking for. When I have tried several different ways to get to the other phone information, I have been seeing more and more website errors.
I guess there was a glitch somewhere... I will try again but I'm putting this out there in case someone has an answer.

I have tried clicking all around and I cannot get to the contact manager at all anymore. Now when I click to it I go to My Verizon Online Sign In - Verizon Wireless (not sure if that link works here) and the web site says:
You are seeing this page for one of the following reasons:
    1) The Sync & Connect feature does not appear on your account. To add this feature click on Home above, then click on the Change Features link.
    2) The Sync & Connect feature has recently been added to your account and the request is in process or pending completion. Please sign in again later.
There's no "Home" or "Change Features" visible on that page. The more I do the stranger the site has gotten. This time it kept telling me I needed to sign back in, but then it would continue acting as normal (I AM signed in).
    I suppose there's a glitch.

  • Best Contact Management Software for Mac

I'm sure this question has been asked before but I can't find it anywhere. Plus, I'm not sure if I'm even in the right place. But, can you tell me what contact management software works the best for Mac?
Also, I'm new to using such software, is there anything specific I should be looking for when choosing one?
    Thanks!

I'm sorry to say there isn't much around. It has been a bit of a weak spot for Mac / OS X for ages - but things are possibly improving.
Any CRM solution for OS X needs really to co-operate with Address Book and iCal - so you can sync your stuff out to PDAs or whatever, and use them in Mail / iWork / Office 2008 etc. that are already written to work with such info in AB and iCal. If it doesn't, you end up with a closed-off app that can't easily work with you on the machine, and which then has to re-do code that already exists. Odd design constraints in earlier versions of iCal and AB made this harder - they were not very aware of other systems / apps. But this is changing in Leopard, and there are some promising things on the horizon (though none really useful solutions avail yet).
Of those out there, probably the best notional app is (in my view) Now Software's Nighthawk (http://www.nowsoftware.com/nighthawkSubsite/index.html). It is written by a team with a solid track record of CRM development on Macs, and is apparently designed to play nice with iSync and the rest. Trouble is it doesn't yet exist - rumours of a public Beta have been out there for months, but the date keeps slipping. Could be a good thing, or signs of major problems - who knows. Realistically you'll not see anything commercially viable from them before April next year I reckon.
But waiting could be good. The other attempt we've seen is SOHO Organizer by Chronos Software. (http://www.chronosnet.com/Products/sohoorganizer.html) In description it does the business - iSync / iCal / AB compatible. But it has had a troubled development, and there is lots of grim sounding reports of trouble with the app on the net. The developers are not very kind to themselves with not much disclosure and (at least last time a looked) a restrictive demo / preview policy (you get one trial period, and that's it, for ever! Even if they bring out a major version number change). My personal experience is that they tell a much better marketing story than they deliver in software - but I've steered clear of the app for a long time now (after a seriously bad experience) but who knows, they might well have caught up with their ambitions by now.
There are many others about that are really central web-based systems - which is fine provided you don't want to use Mail / AB / iCal or sync any of this to your phone / PDA / .Mac or whatever.
So, nothing much going on now. But ever hopeful...
If anyone knows more / other stuff - would be good to know about. We're still travelling hopefully.

  • Can users display only own documents in Web CRM?

    Hello
is it possible to have a limitation for users in diplaying documents (sales order, quotes, tickets, and so on) in web CRM?
Each user can access to own documents with a super user able to display all.
We are in the situation where sales reps do have to displays only own orders, while the Sales Manager can display all.
    Thanks
    Paolo

As a default, users with the Sales Rep Role will only see their own assigned customers and assigned customer documents in the Sales View.  However, they could still search for customers assigned to other reps in any of the search fields.
If you wanted to go further than that you could create a custom role that keeps them from accessing pages or components that allow searching but I doubt you could disable them all without seriously affecting some pages and functions (like searching for a customer's name and contact when creating an activity).
I suspect it would take some custom work to truly isolate every rep and his/her customers and documents from every other rep in every situation.

  • Replication CRM contact person to R3 as contact person

    Hi,
I'm trying to replicate CRM contact person from CRM to R/3 via MW.
First initial created from R/3 to CRM.
In the daily business the agent will create a new contact person thru the Call center transaction in CRM. (web client)
How I can be sure that the contact person create correct in R/3 and attached to the correct Customer?
    Please advice.
    Ety

    Hello Ety ,
I would like to explain how contacts are exchanged between CRM and R/3:
1.If you create a contact person in CRM and save it ,bdoc is sent to
R/3 but it is not processed,as it is not possible to create a contact
in R/3 without a Customer. Therefore you see an information message
in the Bdoc and it doesnot indicate any problem.
2.When you assign this contact to any other BP like any  sold-to-party
then the BUPA_MAIN bdoc of the contact and also the BUPA_REL Bdoc
containing the relationship are sent to R/3.Then these bdocs are
processed and the contact is created for the Sold-to-party(Customer)
      in R/3.
Incase you want to upload contacts, you should use the TXn.CRMM_BUPA_MAP
for the Business Partner to which the contact is assigned to.(i.e the sold-to-party)

  • Business Contact Manager

I have the 2010 version of Outlook and BCM on my office and home computers, both running Windows 7. I want to set up a database so that I can access from either location. I have created the database on the Office PC, but cannot locate either the Home PC
as shared user, or the Office PC as remote user.

    Hello Dave,
You are right, BCM has been tested only in local network.
Please find excerpt from following article
    http://support.microsoft.com/kb/953745/en-us
    Unsupported scenarios
In Business Contact Manager, databases were designed and   tested to be shared over a Local Area Network (LAN) in a domain or in a   workgroup environment.
Microsoft does not support sharing Business   Contact Manager databases in the following scenarios:
You connect to a Business Contact Manager database over the Internet. In this case, Internet refers to public networks that are external to a corporate network or home office network.
You use a virtual private network (VPN) or dial-up connection to connect to a Business Contact Manager server.
Some potential problems with the previous scenarios include the following:
Inability to control whether required ports will be available between the Business Contact Manager server or client
Poor performance because of bandwidth or latency when you access or synchronize large Business Contact Manager databases
You share Business Contact Manager databases across versions. In order to share a database, both the Business Contact Manager server and client must be running the same version of Business Contact Manager.
Note Business Contact Manager databases are separate from Exchange   stores. An Exchange store cannot access Business Contact Manager databases and   Exchange cannot pull data from a Business Contact Manager database. In   addition,
you cannot access Business Contact Manager databases through Outlook   Web Access.
Please let me know if you have additional questions.

  • Duet Enterprise 1.0 with CRM Sales Management

    Hello,
we heard that Duet E 1.0 with sp2 with Business Packs releasing in June 2011.
    1. Any idea when Duet Enterprise BP1 will release  ?
    2.  is CRM Sales Management and Oppertunity Management is covered in this
    3. before implimenting bp1 do we have to impliment duet enterprise 1.0 with sp2.
    4. Can we directly integrate CRM and SharePoint 2010 with duet E.
    Regards,
    Shashank

    Hi Shashank,
    1. Any idea when Duet Enterprise BP1 will release ?
The plan is to release BP1 (or Feature Pack 1 as it is called) in Q3/Q4. The nomination for the Ramp-up has started. If you are interested you can apply via the [Online Scoping|http://service.sap.com/~form/sapnet?_SHORTKEY=01100035870000715662&]. Enter your customer data and select "Feature Pack 1 for Duet Enterprise 1.0 " in the next step.
    2. is CRM Sales Management and Oppertunity Management is covered in this
Feature Pack 1 will cover some contact-based scenarios of CRM.
    3. before implimenting bp1 do we have to impliment duet enterprise 1.0 with sp2.
You can start with Duet Enterprise 1.0 SP02 right now and later update to Feature Pack 1 (by this you will already have done some mandatory steps like setting up the trust between the SharePoint and the SAP system already). If you do not want to start now, you can also wait for Feature Pack 1 and then start a fresh installation.
    4. Can we directly integrate CRM and SharePoint 2010 with duet E.
There will not be a "full-out-of-the-box-scenario" for CRM integration in SharePoint. However, the focus is much more on providing building blocks that makes the integration of CRM simpler and faster.
    Regards,
    Holger.

  • Add new contact person in contact management

    Hi All,
I have been created email in contact management(SRM).
in Tab "General", Contact person field, i cannot select new item/New contact person from combobox.
I have read at HELP file, then i found to add new contact person in contact management, go to SRM menu -> Customizing(UCUS0) ->in the left panel -> clik contact - > double clik contact person.I can direcly add new contact person.
but after i added new contact person.i still can't select new contact person in "General tab(Contact management)".
can u tell me how to solve this problem?
    Thanks,
    Siandari Lim

    Dear William,
There are some notes for enabling the b2b flag. E.g. 1263919 and 1263915 and likely some more. So, that might help you figure out if perhaps you have missing settings for this feature.
But based on the limited information you provided it seems that "Segmentation based on relationships" would be suitable. You can check [SAP help|http://help.sap.com/saphelp_crm700_ehp01/helpdata/en/37/fc60e3bebf4a9ba7121c00e295b3fd/frameset.htm ] for this topic. I was not sure what you meant by "but how to replace the contact person function?"
    Quick excerpt:
Segmentation based on relationships offers you maximum flexibility when modeling target groups, especially in business-to-business scenarios. You can select business partners using filters for both personal data as well as data relating to the business partner's organization. The system saves all required information on the business partner, such as contact person, organization, and relationship type, with the target group. In the campaign, the contact person is contacted using the address data of the contact person's organization.
    Hope this helps!
