How can I show a website in my app? Such as, how can I show the contents of http://www.google.com/ in my account? Or, at least the text found on the website?

That depends on what you mean by "the text from a webpage". If you want to see this:<html><head><meta http-equiv="content-type" content="text/html; charset=UTF-8"><title>Google</title><style>
</style>
<script>and so on as the contents of http://www.google.com/, then you don't need anything fancy. You can use a URL object to download that and a JTextPane to display it.
So, it would be nice if we had a more precise description of your requirements.

Dynamic Columns in Web forms

Hi
Web form is a Account ( Rows) X Period ( Columns) Webform.
I want to have dynamic columns in the web forms. For example, In the month of March the User should be able to see Jan, Feb and March in the columns. And in the month of may.. Jan, Feb, Mar, Apr, May should be the columns.
The remaining months are not required .
Can this be achieved??

Dynamic row selection based on Page member selection in Planning web-form

Hello experts
I have requirement where, user dont want 10 webforms to enter 2 accounts line for various sparse members. Below is the dimension detail and web-form current design
Account - Dense
Period - Dense
Year - Sparse
Scenario - Sparse
Version - Sparse
Entity - Sparse
Product - Sparse (600 level 0 members)
Product dim has family1 as parent and 40 level 0 mem like that there are 10 family level 1 members, now to enter account member (only 2 member) for 6 years projection ( it means 12 periods and 6 years in column ) , i can build 10 web-forms with one web-form has one family level-0 mem in rows,
however my question, is how can i achieve this in one web-form, instead of 10 web-forms for 400 products ?
your help is greatly appreciated.

Im not sure there is any simple way to get dynamic row selection based on what is selected in the page.
If I were designing the form based on what you have stated, I would probably stick both Account and Year in the page, and the 400 products in rows. This would require the user to select the different combinations of Year / Account, but would mean only 12 columns (instead of 72).
Alternatively you could stick Account in rows too - meaning 800 rows, but less combinations to select in Page....all depends what is deemed acceptable to the user.
Probably other approaches that may be better than above (put Product in the Page for fun!!)

Planning Web Forms

I have a Planning application where the users are inputting data into a web form for both direct and indirect employee information. The form has the employee dimension in the row and the account dimension in the columns. The employee dim in the form is set for Level 0 of total Employee and based off of security the user only sees his level 0 employees, which would be all his employees (direct and indirect). Here is an example of the employee hierarchy.
Total Employee
........Position 1 (security is @idesc Position 1 and web form is set for Lev 0 of Total Employee)
.............Employee a
.............Employee b
.............Employee c
.............Position 2
..................Employee d
..................Employee e
So…currently the Position 1 user will see all level 0. His directs (Emp a,b,c) and indirects (Emp d & e).
The users would like two distinct web forms. One illustrating direct employees and the other indirect employees. How can this be accomplished without having to create individual web forms by user account? There are several hundred users…

Hi,
You can do this by assigning attribute to all level 0 employees (direct, indirect) and placing attribute members to the rows section of the form.
So in the first form, place Direct only to the rows and in the second one place only Indirect.

Customer Visible in Sales Order Screen.But not visible in the customer Web form in R12

Hi all,
I have created a customer of organization type using the customer API.I have also created a location and a customer account and account site as well
The created values are loaded into the HZ tables and are visible in the tables such as hz_parties, hz_party_sites, hz_party_sits and so on.
But the issue is that I cannot find the customer in the customer web form in the receivables.but at the same time it is visible in the sales order screen in the order management.
so please, someone help me resolve this issue.

Web Form Errors?

Hi, sorry if this is in the incorrect section, couldnt find one specifically tailored to web forms.
I am attempting to edit the content of a web form. When laying out the design of the form in the web form editor, the html is not being updated with the changes I make. (I understand that the form needs to be inserted into a page, I am refering to html generated by the form editor) Specifically, when I drag an input field up or down to rearrange the order. The input field will 'click' into place, and I get a message saying that the layout has saved. Everything looks fine until I check the html code, the changes are not updating. If I check back to the form editor, everything looks fine again (in the correct order.)
I have tried everything I can think of, deleting and recreating the incorrect input fields, using the 'update' button at the bottom of the screen, etc.
The one thing I have found to work is that if I insert the form into a page, then rearrange the misbehaving input fields in the page html. This has worked, but then I am running into another problem that the data collected is still out of order. When a form is submitted, everything is in the wrong order in the email recieved by our accounting. This makes it very hard for them to sort it out and use the data.
I have noticed that each 'custom input" field has a unique number, possibly it sorts them according to this?

Web forms can be inserted into the page as html or as a module. If as the html the edits and changes you do there will only be there. Anything done differently in the admin will not appply to that for in terms of its layout.
In the admin you have two things. Customise web form which runs updated changes so if you add as a module then what you change there will update in the module.
The other, the get html is just a static non changing raw html source output which is there to be used if you were giving someone the working code for that form to be on a different website.
If you are viewing that this will never change.
In terms of what you see in the admin and the form order.. If you make ANY changes to the html of a form the system will not try and take control of the source of the form so the ordering will not change. This is for you to do in the html yourself if you want custom modifications to that form.

e.g.

alias 9: Bail out money we didn't spend
alias 10: My big fat bonus
There is an option in the web form definition to show alias, but not 10 of them, and AFAIK you can't add an alias via a web form.

I’m a newbie to hosting and forms please help.
My scenario: I have a WINDOWS hosting account with GoDaddy. I am designing a simple little website that I want a form attached to it. You can view this website at palmertraditions.com/contactus.html. This will be the second website I have with Godaddy so they don’t support/help with any forms with “the secondary” website. I am using Dreamweaver and a friend to assist me in my design. I have done everything they have told me to try regarding their provided form mailers,
( ie <form action="_gdForm/webformmailer.asp" method="post">). I also tried their php one and that didn’t work either.
I talked to another guy at GoDaddy and he said that I should try a 3rd party script. ??? (and I should use asp.)

Need a process to update BSO Planning Web form into an ASO Cube

Need a process to update information from the BSO Planning Web form into an ASO Report Cube every (5) five minutes.

Design Question:
In the ASO Reporting Cube
AAAA and BBBB are both at level 0 in both cube
TTTT and ZZZZ are being loaded to a parent which is Level 1
MY Issue with the Design Question ???
ASO Cubes can only be load at a level 0.
So how can I complete this task, what are my option:
My thinking process is the XRef Calc Script could push data the cube, than by built a maxl scripts that would run the Calc script and put this scripts into some kind of system scheduler running the Maxl Scripts Every (5) Mintues
or am i way off base here ????

Opening web form in SmartView 11.1.2 - decimal formatting

I have a web form that consist of regular rows (accounts) and formula rows. The form is setup to display minimum 0 and maximum 2 decimal places for all cell types and this format is correct when I display the web form in Planning. However, when I open this web form through SmartView, these cell type precision does not retain. In fact, it always display round up whole number for regular rows and 2 decimal places for formula rows. Is this a default for SmartView? I am aware of the setting in Options > Formatting that allows me to change the decimal places, but it seems to apply to the entire grid instead of a particular row.
My client is very specific on their format and they want to open up the web form via SmartView. Ideally we want the format that shows up in Planning to be the same in SmartView. It will be greatly appreciated if anyone can shed some light whether this can be done or not.

Click on File>Preferences in the workspace and you get the preferences window. If you choose Planning from the left hand side, then navigate to the "Display Options" tab, you can change the "Allow Search When Number of Pages Exceeds:" setting to be a very high number (e.g. 99999999). Click OK and return to the form and you will be presented with a "normal" drop down list. Note this is a global setting for every form.

Update Access to Web forms in Planning

We have issues in all of our Planning applications, all databases on both production and development. We have had the applications in administrator mod since September. We are ready to start testing to prepare for this year's budget cycle. I created a test native user, and granted the appropriate access in Planning and refreshed the security filters. The web form is coming up read only. I looked at the filter in Essbase, and it shows as read access even though Planning has write access. I ran the Planning Access Report through Shared Services, and it shows write access to all of the dimensions to which we have security applied. According to an Oracle analyst who is working on my service request, it is normal for these to go to Essbase as read access, but the user should still be able to update data.
Since we closed the budget cycle in September, no changes to dimension security have been made, so I'm not sure why the access dropped. We tested with an existing account and had the same issue. We are on version 9.3.1. We recently applied patch 9.3.1.1.9. We did not test the web forms after applying this patch. I'm not sure if this could be causing the issues.
Has anyone ever experienced this problem, or have any suggestions?

I faced some issue similar to this in past with version 9.2, As iam updating security on planning and it works fine for data forms when i perform security refresh.
but when user access those from excel the filters doesn't get update on EAS filters. after two hours investigation even though i update some filters on planning
side after security refresh it doesn't get affected on essbase filters. the reason when security refresh is done the filters getting in to cache memory and doing nothing on essbase, so work around is to delete one particular filter on essbase and then perform security refresh so that it gets updated.

Posting Percentages in planning Web Form

I have a web form where in i have all the percentage accounts. When i type in the value 0.02 it takes in the value as 2%. Is there a way to change the setting in which i can directly type the percentage values as 2%?

Hi,
The dimension of the member you want to show as percentage is the one you want to set in the evaluation order, which is usally account.
It depends what plan type your form is against, if it is the plan type 1, you would use plan type1 and set the dimension against it.

Hiearchy in Planning Web Form Collapes after user Submits in SmartView

We currently have Hyperion Planning 11.1.1.3.0 & SmartView 11.1.1.3.00
I have a end user who opens a Planning Web Form via SmartView. When form is opened the Hiearchy in the rows are fully expanded.
When the user hits "Submit Data" the hiearchy collapes to the top Parent level.
I have confirmed that the Planning Webform does NOT have suppress hiearchy selected.
Is there some setting in SmartView or Planning that I am missing that would account for this?
I would appreciate it if anyone had any suggestions.

Web Form - Text

Hi,
In my workforce plan type I have an account member set as data type text. In the web form you can type anything to that member and it will store as a number in essbase which is great. In the other plan type for the same application, I just created another member as data type text, but when I try to type text into that member in the web form I am getting an error - invalid value. I can enter numbers just fine, but letters give an error.
The two members have the exact same properties, but one is in workforce and the other is in plan 1, that's the only difference. Anyone know why I can't enter letters into a member with data type text? Is there another setting on the web form that needs to be set?

I am not sure where you are going wrong because I can't replicate the issue, maybe it is around the evaluation orde as you need to set it for all the plan types you use.
I created a new account member against plan1 with a data type of text
I created another account member against workforce with a data type of text.
Set the evaluation order for account against plan1
Set the evaluation order for account against workforce
Created a form against plan1 and included the plan1 text account member
Creared a form against workforce and included the workforce text account member.
Both forms I could enter text against.

Web form delivery error

I tested a web form in the staging environment (villagekidsdentistry.businesscatalyst.com) and it worked perfectly. Then I pushed the site live and now the form will not deliver to any of the notification e-mail addresses. The form is sending using a Yahoo e-mail address and I get a delivery error notirication in that Yahoo account from "[email protected]" saying, "An error occurred while trying to deliver the mail to the following recipients:"

I'm having the same sort of trouble, but a little different. We have group email addresses and a contact form we have on our site (www.adam.co.uk) - it flings emails out to everyone in the group, even though only one email is used. We're having some mailer daemons ping through to those people in the group who have a slightly different email designation/ending.
For example this is everyone in this [email protected] group:
[email protected]
[email protected]
[email protected]
[email protected]
[email protected]
Everyone received the email who has the 'adam.co.uk' designation, but anyone who has another (in this example 'centerprise.co.uk') gets a daemon. Does anyone have any ideas why this might be?
