Web Gallery Scroll Bar Slider Problem

Hi,
I'm running Windows XP Professional and Lightroom 1.3.1. I seem to have a problem with the functionality of the sliders in the scroll bars of the web galleries that I make. I use the Flash templates.
I can drag the slider to move through the thumbnails. But when I click in the open area of the scroll bar to scroll forward or backward a page at a time, nothing happens. That functionality seems to be missing. My cursor will change to a pointed finger when it moves across the slider bar, and the up and down arrows at the ends of the scroll bar. It will not change when I place it in the open area of the scroll bar, indicating that the functionality does not exist.
This seems very odd and contrary to the global behavior of slider bars in all other applications, including within Lightroom.
Any idea what's going on and any solutions?
Thanks,
Steve

Hi...
Please check in your application parameters. Did you declare wdtablenavigation parameter?
and check table properties like scrollbarvisible always  or none...

  • Web Analysis - Scroll bar goes up by itself

    Dear all,
We have some reports build on top of Hyperion Web Analysis.
The report has several graphics/tables and a scroll bar in the IE window is necessary to see all graphics/tables.
When we scroll down the bar and select (click) a graphic/table the scroll bar goes up (to the report home) by itself. That happens every time that we do the action described.
Does anybody have ever seen that?
    Many thanks,
    Thiago Gabriel

    Hi,
I have also same problem in WebAnalysis reports. Except this, I more problem is-
In WA reports, we have to put lot of graphics/tables in a single page.
As there is no scroll bar in WA pages in designer mode, It is creating the problem for us. We are able to use only the space that is visible(Computer screen) to us.
    does anybody face this problem....
is it a bug in WA ?
We are using the Hyperion WebAnalysis 9.3.1.
    any help will be appreciated.

  • My scrolling bar/slider for songs is missing on my iphone please help

I call it a scrolling bar but it is the slider that can search through the different time points in a song or podcast. I listen to podcast a lot so I use the 30second back button when i need to write information down that I have heard. I also like to search through the podcast later for information. I noticed that the slider over the song being played has disappeared about a week ago after a physical sync to my macbook. I have been using 3.0 since it was introduced with my last year's 3G iphone. I cannot find any options that might have disabled this feature any help would be appreciated. I even tried a reset and resync & I am still missing the slider.
    Any help would be appreciated.

I'm having similar problems with my iTouch. It seems to be random when it appears and disappears for use. Since I do a lot of audio books, its something I use a lot to reset back in time when the phone distracts me for a bit.
I do notice it has happened a lot more since I've purchased a clock for docking and listening by the bed.

  • Web gallery navigation bar

I like being able to upload a designed web gallery but find that it really begs for a way to add a navigation bar to the top or bottom with predefined hotspots. I didn't want to break anything by editing the .html file in Dreamweaver and unfortunately don't have a hotspot addition tool in Contribute. This is the one important feature I have found lacking when trying to integrate a web gallery into an existing site.

With the version 1.0, and 1.1, I could make a navigation link to my existing home page in html templates by entering my web site domain address in both Contact Info and Web or mail Link fields to make it link back, but it will not work under the flash templates. I do not know whether Adobe is willing to make the change or is capable of making links for multiple albums created by using LR or we just have to find another software to create our web pages?
Hope we can find a fix soon!

  • Web Analysis Scroll Bar in HTML

While manually resizing my window (making it smaller) for a WA document (9.3.1)opened in HTML mode I can see that there are scroll bars present in the bottom and right hand side. But when I finish resizing, the scroll bars disappear! Is there a way to retain the scroll bars?

  • Image Gallery & Scroll Bar

Just exploring flash as a beginner, still.
    I've come across this website:
    http://www.jeremiahshoaf.com/
I'm a fan of the scrolling portfolio idea the designer has used in the centre of the website's front page.
Any ideas how this is produced?
My presumption would be a MovieClip with images various other MovieClips inside (holding images etc) and then a scrollbar controlling how far across the screen the images are shown with actionscript?
Knowing me I'm wrong, but any ideas would help me out to explore and learn further.
Thanks for your great advice, as always.
.. Also, I wondered if this could be produced, and as well as the scrollbar, the ability to add scrolling with the keyboard, left and right keys? Again, only a presumption, but I was thinking this might be simple with actionscript? Simply a piece of code to tell the scrollbar to move to the next MovieClip, if my initial presumption was correct.
The above is only a small side note for those who feel they can assist - but thanks again for any help you can provide!
This forum has been a huge help to me, in learning Flash so far.
    Thanks a lot.

Well first you need a really long MovieClip with some graphics inside on it. That should be simple enough to do. Then you need a scrollbar. Just a rectangle should do for now. On this MovieClip give it a MOUSE_DOWN event listener and on that event use the "startDrag" function to add dragging functionality. Add a MOUSE_UP event listener to the stage and when that happens call "stopDrag" on the scroll bar clip. Then you can have an ENTER_FRAME event that actually updates the scrolling. On this event, check the scrollbar's x position and do some math to figure out the percentage you have scrolled. It might look like this:
    var percent:Number = scrollbar.x / (stage.width - scrollbar.width);
Then update the main image container by the percent:
    var minPosition:Number = -500;
    bigImage.x = percent * minPosition;
Hopefully that should be enough info to get you started.

  • Thumbnails in a slideshow/gallery scroll or slide in groups  so you don't have to have all the  thumbnails on the screen at once

I am looking for a way to make my thumbnails be able to scroll or slide when I build a slideshow I don't like having all the  Thumbnails on the screen at one time. So I'm trying to get the effect that you would have eight  thumbnails below the main  picture viewer then you could click a button and a new group of eight would appear is there a way to do this

  • Scroll Bar state Problem

I'm trying to implement a new control that needs a scrollbar, worked fine until I tried to collapse few properties..
The scroll bar must appear only if the BlockOffset (which is an integer that draws properties, and if the last property was drawn below the maximum window's client height, it enables the scrollbar and gives it a nMax value as great as the last drawn pixel's

After the expand and collapse events, you have to recompute the document height and set the scrollbar info.

  • Web Gallery not updating - wierd problem

    Hi
If I export a re-made LR Flash gallery to my web server small changes do not show up when viewed on the web.
I made some caption changes and the old captions still show up. I deleted the original gallery files before uploading, checked the new version was correct and uploaded it. The changes do not show up.
Are there caching issues on servers that I may be unaware of?
I'm using LR 1.3.1, WinXPSP2, viewing in Firefox and IE6.

Did you clear the cache and reload your browser. Sometimes that is what it takes to see an change.

  • Removing Scroll Bars in WEBI Report

    Hi All,
I want to remove scroll bars from my WEBI reports. I have observed that even if you have only one column in the WEBI report, scroll bar still appears. Is this anything to do with page layout properties of WEBI where you can set minimum limit for horizontal records per page as 20? Can anybody please help me with this?
    Thanks,
    Shweta.

    Hi,
We also wanted to have the same thing,we tried to reduce the size of the report and tried to change the page size.
We did everything to remove that scroll bar and did not achieve it, hence we loged a case with SAP BO and they said  " this is how the tool is".
But they took it as the enhancement request dont know what is the status on that.

  • Problem creating web gallery

I ran into a problem with web gallery creation.  The problem is that LR uses the image file name, without the extension, to create the small images and the html documents.  No image renaming is done.
Now I am trying to create a website, and conflicts occur between files generated by different cameras, and even by the same camera since because it restarted counting at 0000 several times over the years.  The resulting website is useless.
Obviously, i could work around the issue by exporting the images, renaming them, and then re-importing.  This takes hours!!
So please, can Adobe do some file renaming while generating a web gallery???   Hope someone listens!!!

    **Update**
Working now. We were doing javascript:; browser pop to this page and if the Height of the window exceeded the ie6 laptop screen size the flash gallery would fail to work. When I changed the height to 690 (from 800) it worked fine. Go figure...
Is this a known flash issue that I was out of loop on? Do we need to keep window sizes in mind?
I have LR 1.3 and IE6 is not showing thumbnails on my flash gallery output.
Also note that I had to remove the xml doc type (line 1) from the index file or I would get a parse error on our server (it worked fine locally and on my leopard MAMP websrv testing environment.)
Seems to be working on all other browser/platforms but IE6 is by far the most popular for our website.

  • Blurry Scroll Bar in Cover Flow. Help?

Well... i've had my new macbook for about 3 weeks. have about 100 songs in there so far. on itunes. today my friend sent me mp3 files and the moment i got them i put them in itunes. the problem is i discovered that after putting the songs on itunes, the scroll bar on the cover flow became blurry.
i quit itunes and started it again and the scroll bar was normal again. but then i went into the itunes store and came back to my music, in cover flow and the scroll bar was blurry again.
    what does this mean? VIRUS?
obviously something is not steady here. any words? thanks.

This definitely isn't a show-stopper, but it is annoying (Don't fret -- its not a virus. Nor does it have anything to do with your Music collection.). I have the same glitch with Cover Flow. I've found its relatively easy to (temporarily) fix: all you need to do is resize the iTunes window (by just 1 pixel will do).
Hopefully this is more permanently fixed in a future version of iTunes.
For those who are wondering what I'm talking about, when I open iTunes in Cover Flow mode the horizontal scroll bar (slider) is nice and crisp. However, if I switch to another application, or simply click into another section of iTunes (like Movies, or the iTunes Store) and then click back to my Library of Music, the Cover Flow horizontal scroll bar often appears fuzzy, or blurry. Resizing the iTunes window temporarily fixes the glitch (at least, until I switch sections again).
Here's a screenshot comparing the crisp and blurry scrollbars:

  • Bug? scroll bar hides behind filmstrip in Grid view

In Library Grid view, when scrolling to the bottom of the grid, the scroll bar slider gets hidden behind the film strip at the bottom of the window.
    OS: WinXP SP2, 4GB RAM

Okay, I will answer my own question in case anyone else sees the problem.
When I am viewing my large catalog with only three thumbnails across in LR, I lose the little button to slide up and down. When I change Grid View to show four or more thumbnails, the button reappears. I'd suggest this is a bug needing fixing.
