Webgate not intercepting when port defined in WLS

We have seen an issue -- thinking it is apache related -- that when the client deploys their application on WLS without using a managed server and directly on the AdminServer... then the webgates do not appear to be catching the app request. This is especially true with SSL (port 443) since 443 is often used as the SSL port for AdminServer.
We have the apache server set up with the following in the httpd.conf file along with the webgate includes:

</IfModule>
<Location /AppA>
SetHandler weblogic-handler
</Location>
We did not notice this until a client was using 443 as their SSL port for AdminServer. Most clients use the default of 7002 for the AdminServer and then use 443 within their apache or OHS setup. We set the Listen ports to 80 and 443 within the httpd.conf file -- also completed the creation of certs for the webgates to use SSL Ports. If we have the user change their WLS ssl port to 7002, then the webgate catches the request and redirects to the SSO login. Otherwise, the request goes directly to the application with no SSO intervention.
This concerns us since we thought we had the reverse proxy setup correctly -- which means that other client may have the same issue.
Is it possible we are characterizing this incorrectly? Is this a reverse proxy issue or just a configuration issue? It appears that whenever the WLS ports are part of the url (SSL and non-SSL) that the webgate is bypassed. If the non-SSL port is the default 7001 and we include the host/port combination in the HostID and then the URL is http://<hostname>:7001/app... the webgate does not get accessed...
Therefore it is not just SSL ports, but non-SSL as well...

this is a more SSL config relevant.
have you ever tried with the OHS/OAMwebagent to protect the app on WL SSL 7002?
The same story for port 443, I think.
There are more involved in the configurations.

causes the profiler not to work/load anymore...
Is there any fix for this problem?

The profiler is probably hooking up to logo.swf instead of your application swf. You will probably have to not use a SWF in a SplashScreenImage.

JPDA - Port not listening when running app on Unix box

Hi,
I am launching my app on JDK 1.3.1_05 with the following JVM params:
-Xdebug -Djava.compiler=NONE -Xrunjdwp:transport=dt_socket,server=y,address=1044,suspe
nd=y
however when I run a "netstat -a | grep 1044" I get nothing.
Why would the JVM not open the port for listening?
Can't think what I am doing wrong.

Which operating system is this? Did you try to telnet to port 1044 to see if it connects (if it connects it means that something is listening on 1044).

MBP will not boot when a USB/USB2 Device is plugged into either USB port.

MBP hangs on the initial Gray Screen when anything is plugged into either of my MBP's USB ports on boot and reboot. I've tried it with a USB mouse, USB2 Hard Drive, USB Memory Stick and USB RF Mouse. It DOES NOT happen when anything is plugged into the Firewire 800 port, only either USB port.
It happens on reboot and a fresh start whenever something is plugged into either of these two USB ports. I've let the gray screen sit overnight, just to see if it would enter the Login Panel. Didn't happen.
As soon as I unplug the USB item, the HD whirls up and a few seconds later the booting continues as normal. I have booted in verbose mode just to see what the system says. It stays on the gray screen, again, until I unplug the USB device. However, the screen does note the following:
"The IOUSBFamily is having trouble enumerating a USB device that has been plugged in. It will keep retrying. (Port 3 of hub @ location: 0x6000000)."
The above error may or may not be related.
........AND BEFORE ANYONE SUGGESTS IT, YES I HAVE ZAPPED THE PRAM and reinstalled the OS from new MBP Install Disks from scratch! Still occurs.
Hope someone can also validate what I've wrote with the newer MBP, as well.

I'm having exactly the same problem with my MacBook Pro.
It's either the usb hub or simply the iphone... every time I need to boot my macbook pro I have to disconnect every device. It's getting quite annoying.
The previous 17" Powerbook G4 had no issues.

iMessage uses data not your messaging plan. You need to have either Wi-Fi or cellular data turned on to use iMessage

Business Functions of type Validation/Constraint not used when defined in the Glossary

Hi,
the problem is the following: in the Glossary, we have some Business Rules defined. They are of type Validation or Constraint and shall be used to validate the data in the system. These Business Rules are used in Domains in a CDM model.
From that CDM model we are generating a PDM model (for HANA, but it's not working for any of the databases available for selection). Now: I would expect, as this has been defined in the CDM, the Business Rules replicated in the PDM model and used as constraints.
This is unfortunately working only for Business Functions, which are directly defined in the CDM model, not for those ones, defined in the Glossary and reused in the CDM model.
Working case:
- define Business Rule in CDM
- define Domain in CDM and assign Business Rule
- assign the domain to a attribute
- generate PDM from the CDM model
- the Business Rule is replicated in the PDM model, the check constraint for the table is generated correctly
NOT working case:
- define Business Rule in Glossary
- define Domain in CDM and assign the Business Rule from the Glossary
- assign the domain to a attribute
- generate PDM from the CDM model
- the Business Rule is NOT replicated in the PDM model, the check constraint for the table is MISSING
Do you think it's a bug, or am I doing something wrong?

Looks like a bug to me; I would expect the source of the rule to be irrelevant, assuming the PDM has access to the relevant metadata at the time of generation. Perhaps Glossary shortcuts don't have access to all the metadata?

10g webgate not protecting the IIS application but protecting base IIS page on the same Default website

Hello Gurus,
I have an 10g webgate installed on the IIS server application that I am trying to protect using OAM 11g which is running on a separate server. There is OHS as well running on a separate server which I have set as a proxy to the OAM access server.
My problem is:
          Whenever I try to access the http://IIS-server-host/ url, the webgate intercepts the request and shows me the OAM SSO login page. Once I provide correct credentials, I can see the basic Windows IIS 7.5           welcome page.
          But whenever I try to access the protected application page http://IIS-server-host/abcd/** where abcd is the protected application, then the OAM SSO login page doesn't show up and the application directly           throws an error. When I see in Fiddler trace the webgate does intercepts the request but then since I have OHS server setup as a proxy to the OAM server, the request stops at the OHS server URL.           http://ohs-server:ohs-port/.
          The /abcd application is hosted on the "Default Web Site" iitself. I can see in the IIS manager that, there is a separate sub-branch just below default website /abcd.
What could cause this issue? and how should I resolve it? Please advise to the earliest as this is holding up my other activities!!

if request stops at OHS server url then issue must be at OHS level   ideally you should see two urls in Fiddler trace before login page is loaded one is /oam/server/obrareq.cgi and then /loginPage .. you see these URL in Fiddler trace ? anything you can gather from IIS / OHS / OAM Server logs ?
whats error application is throwing ? is it Webgate error (Oracle Access Manager Operation Error) ?

For those who would have the same problem, here is how I could eventually fix it.
Since the Flex Test Drive is sometimes out of sync with flash builder 4, I recreated a project using other help pages on Adobe site :

As suggested, I used the New Project wizard to create a new project, with :
Application server type : J2EE
Check the radio button "Use remote object access service : BlazeDS"
Then, as indicated in following pages (section "Accessing BlazeDS")... :

Are you talking about the English dictionary? Mine seems to work ok on the AZ republic web page. Does yours not work on all webpages? Does it not work when you type an English word in Notes and then do select and define?

My hp deskjet 1510 series does not print when connected to my hp lap top (windows Vista), it says the printer is not active, although it is default printer, connected and on. However, it does work when connected to the (also HP) lap top (windows 8) of my husband. I did everything the hp print and scan doctor advised and also what I could find at HP support (like switch of fire walls, reinstall everything, check printpooler ec etc)... it still does nothing except that I managed to print a diagnostic print which should give information about the condition, but it only gives numbers and letters like : 11. SN = [Edited for Personal Information] Yr 12 PER = 05YR etc, that does not really help me :-). It won't print any testpages. H E L P!!!

Grid Control performance tab not available when on the target home of ASM

I noticed recently that the "Performance" tab/link is not available when you are using 10g Grid Control and you are on the home page of an ASM instance. Can this be explained?

I try to help you. The OEM Grid Control in some times not discover the Oracle 9i databases and you must to add manually.
First, check in your target machine that the user owner of agent software have rights of read and write in the ORACLE_HOME directories of Oracle 9i databases.
Go to Grid Control Console
Select Targets ---> Databases
Press Add --> Select the host ebisdb2.oneshield.com and press continue
The automatic discover process begin. When finished is very normal that nor discover the Oracle 9i databases. You press the Add manually button
in the page that appear you must entry all the configuration information of database:
ORACLE_HOME directory
DBSNMP USER
DBSNMP PASSWORD
HOSTNAME
PORT
SID
Check that the dbsnmp user in your database is unlock and press the TEST button to verify the connection work fine.
After this many windows appear of configuration process, and you will put the sys password and host credentials.

Page with PartialTriggers is not working when it loads for the first time

Hi All,
I am experiencing unexpected behavior when using partial triggers and this recurres every time the page loads and the second time it works fine.
Here is the requirement, The page has a check box, when checked, two text boxes should be disabled. When unchecked the two fields should be enabled.
(The fields are Start Date Time and End Date Time in the code below). I am also handiling the Date Validations on value change listener of Start Date time and have no issues on that.
When I try to enter the dates on page load (The check box - "Process Full Indicator" is not selected), I enter the required fields (PEID, Dates and check the Process IAF and Process SMS check boxes and click on the ProcessRFI Button, the date fields are emptied and nothing happens. When i redo the same thing the second time, it works.
The button invokes a BEPL process.
One of the links suggested that I use the partialTrigger tag in the parent layout, I used in the panelFormLayout and it sill did not reflect.
I am facing the same issue in an other page that is reteriving data from a DB Table. As I notice, both the pages are invoking dataControlls. Not too sure if it is related.

My page is not a part of a task flow. The whole app is an Admin app comprising of multiple individual pages navigated using Menu.
I have tried to run this page individually on my local machine as well as when deployed on the WLS server. The behavior is the same.

Report with JDBC connection does not work when they includes CommandTable

I am trying to render using the new version of Crystal report java component - CRJ a report contains Data base Fileds of type Command Table (Row Set) which seems to be not working.
when i use the previes version of crystal SDK it works fine.
after deugging the Sample CrystalHelper.java file which contains the method .changeDatasource()
i found that the DataBaseController.setLocation() method changes the CommandTable class to Table when using it on CommandTable instance and as result all the fields defined into that CommandTable were disappear.

Ssrs parameter default value not showing ,when available values is binded to query dataset

I have developed a report using sql server data tools for vsiual studio2012 ,i have defined few parameters ,on one of the parameter when available values is binded to a dataset query, the report default value is not showing in report preview .

According to your description, you have set the default value for a parameter, but it's not displayed when initially running the report. Right?
In this scenario, since you have set the available values bind to query, so your default values should be within these available values. If these default values are not within the available values, the default values will be not displayed. So please check
the default values.

When I define a variable in BO it automatically turns it into a detail

i have made a user prompt in my report
so the user can input a value that does not exist in universe so i can use it as condition or a filter,
i have done this by using the followiing condition in the query
object = object
or
object = ToPrompt("Give number")
As you can see by the logic this condition will ALWAYS be true because object = object is always true. So this logic will not impact the rest of the query it will just allow to enter any value in the user prompt
in the report when i try to create a new variable
=ToNumber(UserResponse ("Query 1 with NEW_UNIV" , "Give number"))
it automatically turns it into a detail and i cant change it to measure or dimension.
is there a way to fix this
