Weblogic and RPAS Fusion Client -- ..DeployerException: '127.0.0.1' is not
Hello all,
I'm trying to install 'RPAS Fusion client' but I'm having some problems with weblogic 10.3.2.
Here some details:
- windows xp
- my laptop (Dell E6400)
- weblogic server 10.3.2 (11g)
- Oracle application developer (required by Fusion client, I guess)
I installed weblogic server on my laptop, and I'm able to connect to it and to log on to the management console [ok]
Here a few lines from installation log:
install-to-appserver:
wls-deploy:
[echo] Deploying ORPAS_FusionClient_[13.2] to server(s) 127.0.0.1 on host 127.0.0.1 at deployer URI t3://127.0.0.1:7001
[wldeploy] weblogic.Deployer -verbose -noexit -name ORPAS_FusionClient_[13.2] -source c:\Oracle\temp\tmp\configured\rpas.ear -targets 127.0.0.1 -adminurl t3://127.0.0.1:7001 -user adm -password ******** -deploy
[wldeploy] weblogic.Deployer invoked with options: -verbose -noexit -name ORPAS_FusionClient_[13.2] -source c:\Oracle\temp\tmp\configured\rpas.ear -targets 127.0.0.1 -adminurl t3://127.0.0.1:7001 -user adm -deploy
[wldeploy] weblogic.deploy.api.tools.deployer.DeployerException: '127.0.0.1' is not a configured target.
wls-install:
install-next-steps:
[echo] Application installation complete. You can access the application at the following URL: http://127.0.0.1:7001/rpas_13.2. Application logging messages will be written to the directory c:/Oracle/temp/fusion.
install:
BUILD SUCCESSFUL
So, it seems that everything has been installed properly, but when I try to connect to the URL http://127.0.0.1:7001/rpas_13.2 I received "Error 404--Not Found".
I'm not able to understand if the message " DeployerException: '127.0.0.1' is not a configured target. " is a warning or an error.
I never used weblogic so it also difficult for me try to debug where the error could be.
Any help would be greatly appreciated
thanks
Matteo
Hi Metteo,
There is something wrong with your "weblogic.Deployer" command Please see the Highlighted Part:
weblogic.Deployer -verbose -noexit -name ORPAS_FusionClient_[13.2] -source c:\Oracle\temp\tmp\configured\rpas.ear <b><font color=red>-targets 127.0.0.1</font></b> -adminurl t3://127.0.0.1:7001 -user adm -password ******** -deploy
The target Must be The Name of a WebLogic Server/VirtualHost/WebLogicCluster....Not the IP Address.
Example:
-target AdminServer
-target MyTestCluster
So even if your Output is saying *"Application installation complete"* it is actually not Deployed...And The Installation Actually failed.
Thanks

The two IP limit not withstanding, the EULA for ColdFusion prevents you from legally using Developer Edition in any production environment. Using it for development is fine, though.

Getting error while hitting weblogic server from EBS client instance
Hi,
We are trying to hit weblogic server from EBS client instance.
Steps Done from our side :-
1. Created a self signed key store and certificate (.cer file) with server host name and used it for SSL enabling on weblogic server.
2. Created a self signed key store and certificate (.cer file) with client host name and used it for SSL enabling on oracle EBS client.
3. Imported client certificate .cer file in Server Side Trust Store.
4. Used Server keystore for client side verification.
We are getting these logs from Client Side (Oracle EBS AS) :-

HowTo:Publish Msg to JMS queue deployed in a Weblogic Cluster from a client
Hello All-
I am new to Weblogic and need help from this forum. Forgive me for my ignorance. I am learning.
Below is a brief about the context and the issues that we are facing:
Background
=======
1. We have Oracle Service Bus (OSB) installed on top of Oracle Weblogic Server (ver 10.3). In OSB we have developed a proxy service that listens to a JMS queue for an incoming message
2. The Weblogic environment is a cluster having 2 managed servers listening to different ports and it is front-ended by a Apache Load Balancer.
3. Our requirement is to post an XML message from a Java client to the JMS queue which will then initiate the proxy service deployed. We are using t3 protocol to post the message from the client to the JMS queue
Issue
====
1. To post an XML message from the client, how do we give the address of the JMS queue in the clustered environment to enable failover/loadbalancing if one managed server goes down. I understand from your earlier posts in this forum that directly hitting the JMS queue on a particular managed server will not enable failover/loadbalancing in case one of them goes down
2. Do we need to modify any config file in the Apache Proxy Plugin?
3. Do we need to provide the address of the Apache proxy in the client to send the message?
Kindly clarify and let me know me know if you need any additional information.
Greatly appreciate your help!!!

Apache 2.2 21 forward Proxy 2 way SSL for weblogic server as a client
Hi All,
Currently, i am trying to implement a forward SSL proxy. The client will hit my apache server which in return will hit a IIS Server.
scenarios 1
client(weblogic)--*2 way SSL*Apache(forward proxy)*2 way SSL*-- IIS
If i were to implement 1 way ssl, i am able to see the content of the website.
client(weblogic) --- Apache(forward proxy) --- IIS
If i were to launch the web browser from the client machine (with the client certificate imported in the browser), i am able to view the content in the IIS. But if i were to simulate the connection from weblogic server, it just give me end of file exception (response contain no data) on the logs.
Below is my configuration
Listen 8080
<VirtualHost default:8080>
ServerName serverA
ErrorLog "logs/ssl_error_log"
CustomLog "logs/ssl_access_log" common
SSLProxyEngine On
SSLProxyMachineCertificateFile /certificate/servercert.cer
SSLProxyCACertificateFile /certificate/rootCA.cer
SSLProxyVerify require
SSLProxyVerifyDepth 10
ProxyRequests On
ProxyVia On
AllowConnect 12345
<Proxy *>
Order allow,deny
Allow from all
</Proxy>
</VirtualHost>
For 2 way SSL, will the client forward their client certificate to my apache proxy server and apache will on the client behalf forward the client certificate to the IIS server for authenication?
Or the SSL authenication still happen between the client (weblogic) and the end server (IIS) bypassing the proxy server.
Please help.It is a domain wide setting. Can you not create a new domain? I do not think that you can handle it from web.xml. I have never seen such thing in web.xml.

OS user ids for weblogic and OBIEE11g
Hello Experts
One of our client asked us whether we should use the same OS user credentials OR different for installing weblogic and OBIEE11g on AIX server. If yes why , If no then why.
I know that we need to install weblogic first and then OBIEE11g - SOFTWARE ONLY .
Also if could provide the link for the step by step installation /configuration of weblogic and obiee 11g on AIX 7.1.

ThanksRefer to this link for instructions on installation: http://satyaobieesolutions.blogspot.in/2012/08/obiee-installation-on-aix-obiee-11g.html
It is usually recommended to use the same user because of the issues with permissions on the files and folders when using different accounts for installating different components. -
Hi
We are looking to link weblogic and PeopleSoft. I have noticed that
there is an eLink product for PeopleSoft, but that only talks about
linking it with Tuxedo.
Does anyone know how we would go about accessing the data in PeopleSoft
from within our weblogic application?
Any Help appreciated.
PeterPeter,
If what you want is to get at the Peoplesoft services from , say , a java
client, you could use Weblogic Server to Manage Jolt Session pools that
allow you to access Peoplesoft Services. Peoplesoft Services are really
Tuxedo Services. Jolt lets you access these services. Weblogic Server
managers Jolt connection pools.
Hope this helps.

Weblogic and Websphere communication!!
Hi Friends,
I have an EJB HelloWorld deployed on both servers(Weblogic and Websphere) and these beens are accessible easily from their respective client servlets, which is the easy part.
Now what I want to try is access the bean's methods on Weblogic server from a bean on Websphere server and vice versa. This is where I want some ideas from the gurus please.
e.g. hello() method of the EJB (HelloWeblogic) in Weblogic server prints the message "Hello from Weblogic" and the hello() method of the EJB (HelloWebsphere) in Websphere server prints the message "Hello from Websphere". Now I want to know what do I need to do so that I am able to execute hello() of the HelloWeblogic EJB, from HelloWebsphere EJB and vice versa.
I am also new to EJB, but I think I am making my way slowly.
Any help/ideas/code samples would be really appreciated.
Please feel free to ask any questions.
Regards
RajeevAs far as I can see the standard way would be to lookup
the ejbs-home in the others JNDI context. After that proceed
as you are used to.
Troubles (or some unlikely behaviours) could occur if your beans are
served by the same interfaces.
But Dynamic Stub loading via RMI should prevent you from any problems with non existing stub/skels, etc.
You could only run into problems when stub/skel-implementation-classes where named equally (by full qualifier) in both app-servers. This should never happen. (weblogic.SomeWLStubClass != ...websphere...SomeStubClass)
Read RMI-Specification for further details on dynamic class-loading in
the RMI process:
http://java.sun.com/products/jdk/1.1/docs/guide/rmi/spec/rmi-arch.doc.html
or j2ee-tutorial on how to resolve JNDI-Contexts.
Hope it helps!

SSL Between Weblogic and IBM MQ
Dear All,
I would like to know the SSL configuration steps between Weblogic and MQ Communication.
The existing setup is, To put message in MQ, We are using MQ Java API directly. To get message from MQ, We are using JMS API with binding file.
Now, we are in a position to enable SSL in those communication between Weblogic and MQ. Here Weblogic is Treated as Client & MQ is treated as Server. If any one throw some light here would be greatful for us to enable 2-way SSL.
In High Level, Initially we planned for One-Way SSL like below,
1. Create the Trust Store in MQ Server
gsk7capicmd -keydb -create -db "/var/mqm/qmgrs/WLMQTest/ssl/WLMQTest.kdb" -pw serverpass -type cms -expire 365 -stash -fips
2. Create Self-Signed Certificate Initially for MQ Server
gsk7capicmd -cert -create -db "/var/mqm/qmgrs/WLMQTest/ssl/WLMQTest.kdb" -pw serverpass -label ibmwebspheremqwlmqtest -dn "CN=WLMQTest,O=,C=" -expire 365 -fips -sigalg sha1
gsk7capicmd -cert -extract -db "/var/mqm/qmgrs/WLMQTest/ssl/WLMQTest.kdb" -pw serverpass -label ibmwebspheremqwlmqtest -target "/var/mqm/qmgrs/WLMQTest/ssl/*WLMQTest.crt*" -format ascii -fips
3. Create the Key Store in Weblogic Server
keytool -genkey -alias mydomain -keyalg RSA -keystore keystore.jks -keysize 2048
4. Copy the Public SSL Server Certificate to the Weblogic Server
Copied the WLMQTest.crt from MQ Server into a directory under Weblogic Server Domain
The below command list the content of the keystore.jks
keytool -list -keystore keystore.jks
Keystore type: JKS
Keystore provider: SUN
Your keystore contains 1 entry
mydomain, Dec 26, 2011, PrivateKeyEntry,
Certificate fingerprint (MD5): E7:B6:4C:02:A7:DE:A3:66:27:66:38:A1:87:DF:8F:0F
And tried to import the WLMQTest.crt
keytool -import -alias mydomain -file WLMQTest.crt -keystore keystore.jks -storepass serverpass
We got the error like below,
keytool error: java.lang.Exception: Public keys in reply and keystore don't match
5. Configuring the Channels.
Please advice, Is it a right way? Positively expected your valuable comments

What is difference between Weblogic and OSB
Hi,
The title says it all.
What is the difference between Oracle WebLogic and Oracle Service Bus?
Assuming both products are part of the Oracle strategy, when would I use each product?
I am really struggling as I cannot find a link with this information.
Many thanks
JasonJason,
Weblogic is application server. Service Bus is a product which runs on top of Weblogic.
You can find plenty information about both products on the web.

mvh Kenneth Knudsen MCSE 2003 HP ASEHi Kenneth,
Here for your case suggest you to configure RDP session time limit so that your user can disconnect\log off once the specific time limit reached.
You can setup the session time limit in different method.
1. Open the Server Manager, select Remote Desktop Services.
2. In Remote desktop Services, in right side you can drop down to collections.
3. Select the collection which you want to edit the settings.
4. Under collections Properties, select Task and then Edit Properties.
5. In Properties dialog box, select Session.
6. You can find all thetimeout settings under session collection properties; edit according to your requirements and then OK.
And apart also by group policy setting as below.
Computer Configuration\Policies\Administrative Templates\Windows Components\Remote Desktop Services\Remote Desktop Session Host\Session Time Limits
User Configuration\Policies\Administrative Templates\Windows Components\Remote Desktop Services\Remote Desktop Session Host\Session Time Limits
- Set time limit for disconnected sessions
- Set time limit for active but idle Remote Desktop Services sessions
- Set time limit for active Remote Desktop Services sessions
- End session when time limits are reached
Please check which setting suitable for your environment and you can apply for your case.

BO XI 3.1 SP3 SSO with CMC and Webi Rich Client
Hello,
Is it possible in BO XI 3.1 SP3 to use SSO with CMC and Webi Rich Client ?
It works fine with InfoView, Designer and Desktop Intelligence.
RegardsHi,
What kind of SSO authentication are you trying to set up? (AD, LDAP,...)
I think it's AD regarding your command line.
But be aware that in SSO, you don't need to configure the command line to run the client.
Have a look at the following guide.
[Configuring Manual Kerberos Authentication and-or SSO in Distributed Environments with XI 3.1 SP3.pdf|https://bosap-support.wdf.sap.corp/sap/support/sapnotes/public/services/attachment.htm?iv_key=002007204200000183782010&iv_version=0005&alt=2BCE4CB10DF674B172F4F3F7B32A284F49333135358877720E883731B332AF34CACD2AB52C0A2C8DCACA09084EF4CB494E4E0F2ECE8E2F89772908C9CE70CD2DF77675F7F2D1750C09514BCECFCFCE4C8DCF4BCC4DB5F575F4F4F3F57771F571F6F70B01B25D83D4120B0A722092A599504EB16D715E3E00&iv_guid=DF838310BFAAE8F1B486001A64C54696]
Regarding accessing CMC with SSO, it's not recomended at all as if you break this access, than you can't connect anymore to the CMC and modify settings.

I am using Lookout 4.5, build 12, and I am having a problem concerning pots. I have data tables created for the different size sewer stations my system monitors. For each station, there are setpoints for starting and stopping of the pumps. I want to be able to change the setpoints for a station on the client file using a pot and have it change on all other machines running Lookout. I did this in 3.8 using DDE, but I don't want to use DDE anymore.
I created a pot on the client file and URL'ed it to a pot on the server. On the server I created a table with a generic member "A" named "Lead Setp" and then created a member "A1" named
"C5_1LeadSetp" then a member "A2" named "C3_1LeadSetp" and so on....
In this table I connected the generic member "A" to the Pot I created on the server, and I connected A1 to its corresponding setpoint signal coming in from the field.
On the client file I connected (in the table similar to the one on the server but with all signals for the station) the "A1" member to the setpoint signal coming in from the field, and I connected the "A" member to the Pot I created on the client file which is URL'ed to the pot on the server file.
But, when I change the value of the pot on the client file, only the pot on the server and the "A" member in the table on the server change to the value of the pot on the client. The "A1" member whose screen I am changing the values from on the client does not change! This is the last thing I have to do and my file will be completely converted to 4.0. Does anyone have any ideas?
Thanks for any responses..

Jason PhillipsHi Jason,
If I understood your task correctly, you want to change the Setpoints on the Server DataTable using Pots from different clients. And also reflect these changes on the clients locally.
You correctly remoted the Pots on the Clients to the corresponding Pots on the Server. However, you do not need tables on your clients. All you need is Expressions on each client to the particular cell of the Clients.
So, to summarize: On the Server, the Pots write to the DataTable. And since the Pots on the Clients are remoted to these Pots on the Server, you can affect any change using these Pots. Because of the common remote source (Server Pots, i.e.) all of these Pots will always be in sync. Finally, to get the Setpoints on the Clients, just insert Expressio
ns to the Server's DataTable.
I am attaching a simple example (exmpl.zip) which does this. There are three processes -- My_Server, My_Client1, and My_Client2. I had them setup on the same machine so the paths are all process relative, but you can always change those to computer relative or absolute and move the client processes to diff machines.
Hope this helps.
Rgds,
Khalid
