Weblogic for freebsd
Can anybody tell me which setup of weblogic 8.1 SP6 for i386(32 bit) will work with which version of FreeBSD for i386(32 bit)... its urgent.. Thanks...

We don't certify/support FreeBSD, but the server should run fine.
The server is all-java with some optional native code.

Do you think this will happen?
if they port to Linux these binaries should run on FreeBSD as well, right?
It would be cool, got to say that,

How to create a second OracleBIApplication in WebLogic for OBIEE 11g?
I want to create a second OracleBIApplication in WebLogic for OBIEE 11g. The default one is called "coreapplication". I can create a new one but it doesn't show up in Enterprise Manager. Anyone can help?
I have been trying to create a second OracleBIApplicatino in WebLogic for OBIEE 11g without success. I don't want to end up installing it twice as it is going to consume a lot of resources and also because I want to have a single WebLogic Domain. Has anyone faced the same situation?
What about deploying the "analytics" web application as a new web application with a different context-root (e.g. analytics_test)? I am also trying but I can't make it work. Anyone available to help? -

Check below:
http://www.oracle.com/technology/deploy/security/wls-security/2793.html
The page mentions that the web server plug-in is available for download via Doc ID # 7825156.

Oracle port for FreeBSD?
Hi all!
Can someone please tell me if Oracle (e. g. 9i) is going to make a port for FreeBSD of the Oracle server?
Regards.This has been discussed on the freebsd-databases mailing list (www.freebsd.org, search the mailing lists). The LINUX version will install using the LINUX emulation port, and I think that 9i and 10g have both been installed. Another method is to install on a LINUX box that has the installation directories NFS mounted from a FreeBSD box using the same names. In both cases the installation is, of course, unsupported by Oracle if that's what you're really looking for.
I haven't done this, since my interest in Oracle is at work where they use RH LINUX (ES 3?). -

Wrong url in weblog for RSS, all entries and others
I created a weblog for myself and have been writing for a while and didn't notice anything wrong.
Now when I click RSS or all entries, I get a url to an IP adress that the machine had when it was configured the first time, befor it was moved to the hosting location.
The weblog is at http://xserve.internetfabriek.be/weblog/internetfabriek/
when I hit All entries it links to http://192.168.11.100:16080/weblog/internetfabriek/
Maybe this is due to the recent upgrade to 10.4.6 or maybe I never noticed.
I tried disabeling performance cache but the url stays the same.Nice one
At last somebody who posts a solution to the problem they have...
I was having this trouble since 10.4.3 and forgot about it... Not only did you remind me but you fixed it too.
I did enable the admin concole on the development servers with 10.4.3 and i'm pretty sure half the options were not there.
A theme plus pack would be nice too -
Where to download Weblogic for linux 64
Hi,
Can you please provide me with the link to download Weblogic for linux 64.
RegardsHi ebitar,
afaik, there is no version of WebLogic 10.3 that is just for 64-bit Linux. You would need to install a 64-bit JVM and then download the generic weblogic installer from http://download.oracle.com/otn/bea/weblogic/server103/server103_generic.jar (I.e. the link located under the HP column of the download page).
Someone please correct me if i'm wrong.

Weblogs for different message mapping needed
Hi,
I want to do scenarios using XSLT mapping, ABAP mapping, Java mapping.
Can you suggest me some weblogs...
Thanks,
RamHi Ram,
thought i will start of from scratch.Mapping is basically done to convert one form of xml into another form. This can be done using either of them mentioned below.
- Graphical mapping
- XSLT mapping
- JAVA mapping
- ABAP mapping
To know more about each of them please go thru the following links. And if you ask me your which is better, it depends basically on the scenario you implementing and the complexity involved. Anyways please go thru the following links:

Using Log4j2 in weblogic for logging in OSB
Hi All,
I was trying to use log4j2 logging in OSB. I did below mentioned steps:
Copied external jars "log4j-api-2.0-beta7" and "log4j-core-2.0-beta7" into %Domain_Home%\lib directory.
Placed wllog4j.jar into same location.
Created log4j2.xml and placed it into %Domain_Home% directory.
Modified setDomainEnv.cmd in %Domain_Home%\bin directory to include log4j2.xml location(set LOG4J_CONFIG_FILE=%DOMAIN_HOME%\log4j2.xml) and enable log4j logging by setting java option(-Dwlw.log.Log4jLoggingEnabled=true)
Content of log4j2.xml looks like this:
<?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?>
<configuration status="debug" name="MyApp" packages="">
<appenders>
<RollingFile name="RollingFile" fileName="C:/Oracle/MiddlewareNew/user_projects/domains/base_domain/servers/AdminServer/logs/services.log" filePattern="logs/$${date:yyyy-MM}/app-%d{yyyy-MM-dd-HH}-%i.log.gz">
<PatternLayout>
<pattern>%d %p %m%n</pattern>
</PatternLayout>
<Policies>
<TimeBasedTriggeringPolicy/>
<SizeBasedTriggeringPolicy size="10 MB"/>
</Policies>
<DefaultRolloverStrategy max="10"/>
</RollingFile>
<Async name="Async">
<appender-ref ref="RollingFile"/>
</Async>
</appenders>
<loggers>
<root level="debug">
<appender-ref ref="Async"/>
</root>
</loggers>
</configuration>
After setting all the above things, when i am starting weblogic server then i am getting parsing exception in console with error like below:
log4j:ERROR Parsing error on line 3 and column 44
log4j:ERROR Document root element "configuration", must match DOCTYPE root "null
log4j:ERROR Parsing error on line 3 and column 44
log4j:ERROR Document is invalid: no grammar found.
log4j:WARN The <configuration> element has been deprecated.
log4j:WARN Use the <log4j:configuration> element instead.
I am not able to figure out what is going wrong here. In my information log4j2 has done away with namespaces, schema/dtd references and looks like still weblogic is using log4j 1.2 reference. I would really appreciate of one can tell me what is going wrong here.
There was reference to log4j-1.2.8 in my setDomainEnv.cmd as
set POST_CLASSPATH=%POST_CLASSPATH%;%ALSB_HOME%\lib\version.jar;%ALSB_HOME%\lib\alsb.jar;%ALSB_HOME%\3rdparty\classes;%ALSB_HOME%\lib\external\log4j_1.2.8.jar;%DOMAIN_HOME%\config\osb
could this be causing issue? If yes then how can we remove old references of log4j 1.2(if i am removing this entry from here then log4j is giving error for classes not found).
Any input will be helpful.The log4j:ERROR messages are not coming from Log4j 2 and are most likely from Log4j 1.x. Somehow Log4j 1.x must be getting the log4j2 configuration.

Problems creating Datasource in Weblogic for E-biz R12 DB
Hi,
I've got an instance of E-Business Release 12 on a 10.2.0.2.0 DB which I am trying to create a Datasource and connection pool for in Weblogic Server 11g. I have successfully set up connections for other DB's but I am unable to connect to this Ebiz DB. I go through the settings but when I click on 'Test Configuration' at the end, I get the following error message:
Connection test failed.

I am wondering whether the DB version is compatible with this version of Weblogic Server and whether it may need to be patched if it isn't?
I appreciate your help
