Webservice Solution

Hi,
I'm developing RESTful webservice using Jersey an RI.
Can I use Jersey a Reference Implementation in Production environment?
Please suggest.
Thanks,
Kiran

Ok
So it seems you need to integrate a 3rd party service desk with solution manager.
In this case please goto spro transaction in solman here
expand
solution manager->scenarion specific settings->third party integration->external service desk
Here visit all the IMG help for the documentation
Goto to these steps one by one with IMG help and implement the same you can then connect the external service desk with yours.
In addition you can check this guide for Webservice API...
https://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/scn/go/portal/prtroot/docs/library/uuid/e3eeb4a8-0b01-0010-bd99-f4a700a49d32
Hope it solves your problem

  • Efficient reverse proxy for Schema based BizTalk webservices

    I've got a few webservices hosted on BizTalk I'm wanting to expose with a reverse proxy.
    Checking through this article it seems there is some disconnect.
    http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/magazine/cc748658.aspx
    The article outlines how to do this with a webservice generated from an orchestration. But I created my webservices from schemas. The structure of my asmx.cs doesn't appear to be the same. See Figure 8 in the article.
    When I try to do
    AZDHS_AIE_Internal.AIE objWebServiceMethodCall new AZDHS_AIE_Internal.AIE();
    objWebServiceMethodCall.Url = "real URL goes here";
    There is no Url member inside the instance of AIE that is created. It is the proper class which contains the web methods, so I was surprised to not see it there.
    Anyone else tried to get this scenario working before? I'm not finding much resources for schema based webservices, only orchestration based ones.

    Alright, got it working.
    Here the short story of how to get this working. Make a copy of the generated webservice solution from BizTalk. In it you'll see there is a
    DataTypes.cs class.
    Next, you'll generate a proxy class of the target webservice using the visual studio command line wsdl tool (wsdl http://url/svc.asmx?wsdl). Make sure this class is named differently than the actual webservice is since that is the same
    name you've got in the BizTalk generated webservice solution.
    In the new proxy class replace the return and parameter types in the web methods to be the corresponding types in the
    DataTypes.cs class.
    In the BizTalk webservice code go to your web method where it currently puts the received message into the messagebox database. There you will create a new instance of the new proxy class and call the corresponding web method, which now has the same type
    definition in both the proxy class and the BizTalk generated class.
    And that's all. Build and deploy to a server anywhere with access to the actual BizTalk server and your calls will bounce off the webserver and go to BizTalk.

  • How to get webservice result as "e4x" format in a professional solution?

    Hi. I want to get data from a .Net webservice as "e4x"
    format. It works when i use <mx notation to define the service
    in flex. However i want to build a more professional solution and
    want to implement the webservice as a class. But I can't get it to
    work such that i return the result as "e4x". Instead i get an
    object with arrays etc. The problems might be that i need to use
    the flex class operation to define "e4x" and then i need to bind
    the operation with the webservice but it seems that the webservice
    still doesn't know about to return the result as e4x. Here you see
    the code in <mx notation which is working fine:
    <mx:WebService id="WS" wsdl="
    http://localhost/testservice/service.asmx?WSDL"
    result="WS_onResult(event)" >
    <mx:operation name="HelloWorld" resultFormat="e4x" >
    <mx:request></mx:request>
    </mx:operation>
    </mx:WebService>
    And in the WS_onResult procedure i get the result by doing
    this:
    var xmlResult:XML = XML(event.result);
    As i said the above code is working fine but the code below
    doesn't work well because it doesn't return the result as "e4x":
    WS = new mx.rpc.soap.WebService();
    WS.wsdl = "
    http://localhost/testservice/service.asmx?WSDL";
    WS.addEventListener(LoadEvent.LOAD, load_listener);
    WS.addEventListener(ResultEvent.RESULT, result_listener);
    OP = new mx.rpc.soap.Operation(WS,"HelloWorld");
    WS.loadWSDL();
    And in the load procedure to perform the call:
    public function load_listener(event:LoadEvent):void {
    OP.resultFormat = "e4x";
    WS.HelloWorld.send();
    And in the result listener i get a result as object and NOT
    as "e4x". Can anyone help?
    Btw. here i add the .Net code:
    [WebMethod]
    public XmlElement HelloWorld() {
    XmlDocument doc = new XmlDocument();
    string xml = "<Test>this is a test</Test>";
    doc.LoadXml(xml);
    return doc.DocumentElement;
    }

    Hmm, try setting the resultFormat at the WS level. But what
    you have looks like it should work.

  • Need Urgent Solution for error in presence webservice

    Hi Folks, I am new to ocsg , i got stuck with a serious problem
    I am working with presence web service
    As from documentation , i understood that watcher should subscribe with attrbiutes which he wants to look up for presence user's information , so i tried to give subscribe information, in that tab, i gave sip uri as tel:1234
    and click on start button .Initially i got error that No plug in created
    Then i tried to create the plug in from pluginmanager for presence webservice , but it is not allowing to create saying that "you cannot create plug for this service ( presence web service)"
    then I started using the already existing
    presenceservice = Plugin_px21_presence_sip and existing
    ================
    presence instance = Plugin_px21_presence_sip#wlng_nt_presence_px21#4.1
    then again i got error while I click on start button , saying that No Route Exists
    then I added a route by taking Plugin_px21_presence_sip as input value and values given as tel:^.*
    and I also set setrouteconfig as below values
    ================
    Plugin_px21_presence_sip
    ================
    <?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?>
    <route xmlns:xsi="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema-instance" xsi:noNamespaceSchemaLocation="route.xsd">
    <destAddress defaultResult="true">tel:^.*</destAddress>
    </route>
    =================
    it has accepted . then I again started the subscribe presence by clicking on start button .

    Hi, if this is urgent I would suggest logging the issue on My Oracle Support in the Communications Service Delivery Community where Oracle and customer/partner/developer experts will advise whether this is a configuration issue or a bug that requires an SR to deliver a fix.

  • HP webservices tab not available when using HP Jetdirect 2700w wireless print server

    I recently bought HP Laserjet Enterprise 500 m551 dn color laser printer with HP jetdirect 2700w wireless print server ( one day old at this time).
    I was able to configure the device and enable/ use eprint services using the embedded server with a wired connection.
    However when I attach a the mentioned wireless print server, the "Webservices" tab disappears from the configuration website, the printer reports that the eprint services are not enabled and ofcourse hp eprint or google cloud print do not work. The printer appears offline at eprintcenter. Everything else works fine.
    On the product website for the wireless server, it clearly states that this is compatible with eprint services.
    What am I doing wrong.

    This seems to be a commercial product. For the best chance at finding a solution I would suggest posting in the forum for HP Business Support!
    You can find the Commercial Jetdirect board here:

  • Oracle db to SAP R/3 synchronous solution ?

    Hi,
    I am looking for some comments from SDN members to come up with a solution.
    <u>Requirement:</u> Automatically update the R/3 system based on the updates in the "external" Oracle database.
    In order to accomplish this, currently we are working on the JDBC (Sender)> XI> R/3 ( RFC receiver) asynchronous scenario using poll interval to pull the data from Oracle db to R/3.
    Instead we are looking for a synchronous sort of solution where Oracle pushes the data into R/3 as soon as update happens in the Oracle tables.
    One of the possibility is to have a trigger in the database to generate the XML files using XMLGen.getxml utility.
    Thanks for your time,
    Sunil

    Hi Sunil.
    If I understand correctly, you want to push data from Oracle to XI rather than polling the database from XI and retrieving data.
    You may consider exposing your outbound interface in XI as a web service and then calling the web service from the triggers in Oracle. Thus data would be passed from the Oracle trigger to XI over SOAP.
    This link would help you on how to call web service from PL/SQL
    http://www.oracle.com/technology/tech/webservices/htdocs/samples/dbwebservice/DBWebServices_PLSQL.html
    These links would help you on how to expose a web service from XI.
    http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw04/helpdata/en/31/daa0404dd52b54e10000000a1550b0/frameset.htm

    You can write the trigger for the appropriate action (INSERT, UPDATE, DELETE) on the database table and then call the web service.
    Hope this help ,

  • Calling Webservice from Netweaver Portal to SAP XMII 12.0 using SSO

    Hello,
    we have a Netweaver 2004s based Portal and a Netweaver-based SAP XMII (v12.0) System providing Webservices.
    What we try to do is to call a webservice out of the Portal EAR Application using SSO.
    SSO-Konfiguration between Portal and XMII is done and works fine. I tested this using an URL-iView, which calls a https-URL on XMII and SSO-Authentification is done in the background.
    Now I want to call a Webservice using SSO.
    Without SSO (prodiving UID/PW), the webservice-call works fine.
    In order to use SSO with Webservice, I created a "Deployable Webservice Proxy" with "HTTP-Authentication" and "use SAP Logon Ticket" turned on.
    Then I remove Login/Password from my SOAP-Request and unfortunately it doesn't work.
    What do I have to consider in addition to the topics above?
    Can you provide any useful links with tutorials, hints, documentation, ...?
    Thanks in advance
    Andreas

    If you search the forum here for the terms you have used, then you will find many of them and interesting discussions about advantages and disadvantages from different views. I think that in 1 or 2 hours you will be a guru
    > I am thinking more of using Kerberos authentication for SAP GUI and using OpenSSO (Sun's product)solution for EP 7.0.
    >
    > Do you know what SSO technologies are other companies implementing these days?
    I only know which solutions I have been involved in doing the security evaluations for and implementation support.
    I don't want to do any direct or indirect comparative advertizing here, but only wanted to point out to you that there is plenty of information if you use the search. What you need to understand is that other that SAP proprietary mechanisms and newer standards based initiatives (search for 'SAML'), this is often a 3rd party vendor question (and resulting discussion...).
    If you find a solution and want to specifically discuss it here, then this can most of the time be done in a civilized way...
    Cheers,
    Julius

  • SSO from non-SAP J2EE to NW04 ABAP WebService

    Hello,
    I currently have issues establishing SSO from a J2EE (which is NOT a NetWeaver system) server to a WebService that resides on a AS ABAP 6.40. When I look over the options I see no obvious SSO solution. I cannot be the only one in this situation. Which solution have you managed to implement.
    I must stress that username/password is not a solution.
    Withouth really understanding the different scenarios, I would prefer to make som sort of trust relation. And then just let the calling application supply the username in a header variable
    Best regards,

    Well, the best solution would be using message-based authentication (WS-Security) - either "X.509 Token" (digitally signed message) or "SAML (1.1) Token". Unfortenately you are using an older ABAP system where this feature is not available.
    Especially regarding Web Services it is definetly worth to consider upgrading to NWAS 7.0 Enhancement Pack 1 (or at least: NWAS 7.0 with SP14 or higher).
    But it also depends on the capabilities of "your" J2EE server. Does it support WS-Security and SAML Tokens? Can it servce as SAML Source Site?
    Transport-level security (e.g. SSL with X.509 client certificates) will not help in your scenario (system-to-system calls). It would only be an option if the WS Consumer is an User Agent (-> SSL client represents a single user); only then X.509 client certificates can be used for SSO.
    Best regards, Wolfgang

  • Using SOAP to access middleware webservice

    URL SOAPUrl = new URL(url);
              SOAPConnection con = SOAPConnectionFactory.newInstance().createConnection();
              ByteArrayInputStream stream = new ByteArrayInputStream(xml.getBytes());
              SOAPMessage message = MessageFactory.newInstance().createMessage(null,stream);
              SOAPMessage reply = con.call(message,SOAPUrl);I am using the above mentioned code to send a SOAP message object to a middleware webservice.
    But im getting the following exception:
    javax.xml.soap.SOAPException: org.xml.sax.SAXException: WSWS3357E: Error: operation description is missing parameter description.
         at com.ibm.ws.webservices.engine.soap.SOAPConnectionImpl.call(SOAPConnectionImpl.java:115)Could anyone suggest me the reason for this and an apt solution?

    Hi Paul
    I have access to all the documents (JavaScript via Mozilla, Adobe JavaScript API, XFA API etc etc) but none are specific enough to cater for this issue.  I will work this out before too long but it would be very useful if someone who had done this already could shortcut my journey!
    Thanks

  • Creating PL/SQL webservices in Workshop

    Hi,
    I am very new to workshop. In jdeveloper we can able to create a PL/SQL webservice.
    Is it possible to create a PL/SQL webservice Workshop?
    If so, Please let me know the steps & documentation.
    Please help me.
    Regards,
    Latha

    Hallo again,
    Asking the question the other way round.
    Is it possible to use the "PL/SQL WebService Assistance" of JDeveloper as some kind of command line tool (like JPublisher)?
    Some background information:
    We work a lot with PL/SQL and Generation of PL/SQL code. The final product should be some WebServices that will be driven by the PL/SQL packages. To facilitate the creation of WebServices we search for some solution to generate such PL/SQL WebServices. JDeveloper in the Version 11 offers here a very cool and uptodate tool the "PL/SQL WebService Assistance" - but is it possible to use this assistent for "Generation" of WebServices? Could we use some JDeveloper APIs to "remote" controll this feature.
    Thx a lot for every hint,
    Willi

  • Error at creating Client Proxy of external webservice (WSDL)

    Hi Experts,
    I try to create a Client Proxy Object out of an external webservice. Here is the WSDL URL:
    [http://www.webservicex.net/CurrencyConvertor.asmx?wsdl]
    I try to create it with this URL and then I get the error message

    Exception of class CX_SIDL_INTERNAL_ERROR
    I found two other threads with a similar problem:
    cunsuming external webservice in ABAP
    Problem while consuming external webservice
    But there is no solution that worked for me. In the first thread it is mentioned, that the code between
    <wsdl:binding name="XXXXHttpGet" type="tns:XXXHttpGet">
    and it's closing brackets should be removed in a local file. I tried that and was able to create a client proxy object out of this local wsdl-file. But then I called the webservice with the folling coding for testing:
    report  z_currency_converter.
    data: convert type ref to zzzco_currency_convertor_soap.
    try.

    The same code worked fine in another system. In this "older" system could also create a client proxy, I think because it has a newer Support Pack version.
    SAP says the following:
    The problem is that this WSDL uses two bindings different from SOAP
    binding which is not in conformance with Basic Profile 1.1 -
    http://www.ws-i.org/Profiles/BasicProfile-1.1.html#WSDLBINDINGS .
    I looked in the document, but I do not know where the problem in the WSDL file exactly is. What have I to change? Or can somebody give me the URL of a free webservice, that you used for creating a client proxy with a new support pack standing? In the "old" system there is not yet the SOAMANAGER but in the one where it doesn't work.
    I hope you have an idea.
    Thanks a lot in advance!
    Best Regards,
    Ingmar

    I think it is the problem of version.U need to ask SAP to release some patch levels to correct it.

    do you connect to internet via proxy? if yes you have to either code proxy authentication or simply maintain it in transaction SICF.
    go to
    SICF->client->proxy settings
    go to http_log tab
    host name: proxyhost.domain.com
    port: <portno>
    user - > proxy user id
    pwd -> proxy pwd and save it .
    and this setting is per client , so you have to do that for all clients.

    Raja
    I am working on getting the proxy settings completed and will update the post when i am through with all the findings.

  • How to configure service endpoints of custom webservice in SharePoint 2013?

    Hi,
    I have created a custom webservice in SharePoint 2013. I placed it in a sub folder under the ISAPI folder. I followed the instructions of this article: http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/office/ff521581(v=office.14).aspx. The webservice works
    great, however when I try to send a large file I get the message "413 Request entity is too large".
    After some searching I found out that you can create a web.config in the subfolder and define the endpoints and bindings, after which I get an error that there is already an endpoint defined for the specified URI. I believe this has something to do with
    the BasicHttpBindingServiceMetadataExchangeEndpointAttribute but I'm not sure.
    Can anyone help me solve this issue?
    Regards,
    Sander

    Hi,
    According to your post, my understanding is that you want to configure service endpoints of custom webservice in SharePoint 2013.
    Per my knowleadge, after you add a reference to Microsoft.SharePoint.Client.ServerRuntime, you can use the BasicHttpBindingServiceMetadataExchangeEndpointAttribute.
    In VS  go to the add reference and paste the following: C:\Windows\assembly\GAC_MSIL\Microsoft.SharePoint.Client.ServerRuntime.
    In addition, please make sure you create the custom web service correctly.
