Webtools 2007 Theme Samples

Can someone point me to some Webtools 2007 Theme Samples? I'm trying to build a site based on extracting what CSS data I can find from the basic theme that came installed, and I'm not being very successful.
Specifically, the beginning of my implementation is at <a href="http://vpn.seatability.com/b1webtools">http://vpn.seatability.com/b1webtools</a>, and I want to make each plugin in my slot look like the corresponding widgets in the header sample code. I just can't figure out how to deal with the widgets individually.

What if I want to change the look and feel of things outside of the plugins? For instance, I've included below how I am changing some information on the My Account screen (\common\account\myaccount.aspx). Basically, I want to add this same header (CSS STYLING INFO) to every page of the account management process, as well as the commerce transactions and almost every other page on the site. I don't see how I can make those changes without editing the .aspx files.

How can I create my own page in webtools 2007 that will inherit the theme? I was able to do this in 596 using the sample below but this doesn't work in WT. Am I inheriting from the wrong class now?

WebTools 2007 - Messaging Set Up

Hello everyone,
Are there any instructions to setting up messaging in WebTools 2007? I am using patch 4, but cannot find any documentation out there to set this up. If someone could please point me in the right direction it would be greatly appreciated.

Hi Fristen,
I just been working through this and finally have most of it working. The key for me for outbound emails was to use the local SMTP server instead of trying to send straight out to an external smtp server.   If you haven't done this I'd suggest:
1. admin/common/webconfig/webconfigs.aspx - Messaging options
    - Make sure you have C:\Inetpub\mailroot\Pickup (or relevant path for your local SMTP server pickup dir).
    - Make sure you have no value in the SMTP server host field (so it uses the local pickup dir)
    - Make sure you have any options tcked you need for sending emails (campaigns, orders, deliveries etc).
2. In IIS, for the SMTP server properties, go to the Delivery tab (windows server 2003) and choose advanced. You need to
   set the smart host value to the external SMTP server.
3. To test from here, firstly stop your local SMTP server and run your scenario. WebTools should generate the outbound
    emails and leave them in the Pickup directory. Open one and check the content is as expected.
4. Restart your SMTP server and it should send out the pending emails. If that works, but they never arrive you may have
    spam filtering or something else outside of webtools intercepting them.
The only loggin I know of is under Program File\SAP\SAP Business One Web Tools\Installer\logs. The current.log is an XML log capturing the high level steps of messaging. It will only tell you which phases of messaging it's going through though - I don't believe there's any way to enable low level loging.
Good luck with it. I have all the above working fine, but have not been able to get processing of bounce emails working - which is needed for campaign reporting. If you get that working I'd love to hear that!

Webtools 2007 Admin/Developer Guide

Do anyone know where I can find an Admin/Developer guide for Webtools 2007? It has been almost impossible to set up webtools without any guide to explain how to start.

WebTools 2007 Released?

Has Webtools 2007 been released yet (in Australia). I couldn't find it on the portal? Is there a substantial difference to the 2005 beta version?

2007 will not be released before spring 2008 (ouch!). I can not give you as date as that has not been deteremined.

I expect you mean 5.9. I believe that is was was demoed in Australia. Is this what you are referring to?
Is so, the answer is yes. 5.9 and 2007 are functionally similar, but the look and feel is entirely different. 5.9 is built on the .NET 1.1 framework. 2007 is built on the .NET 2.0 framework and does not run on SQL Server 2000. The upgrade between the two is problematic and any customizations will need to be redone.

WebTools 2007 B1 database requirements

I know SQL 2005 is required for the WebTools database, but is it also required on the B1 side as well?
I'm doing a WebTools install. The WebTools DB is SQL 2005. But the Business One side is using a SQL 2000 server. The Synch Manager does not give me a SQL 2000 option on the B1 side, and will not connect to SBO-Common if I leave it at SQL 2005.

Unfortunately, Webtools 2007 does require that Business One be on SQL Server 2005.

Items Group Code - Synch Between WebTools 2007

Hello everyone,
I am simply trying to find out the intent of how the Item Group synchs over to Web Tools. I know how it works upon initial synch, it goes into the Online Catalog (or whichever you choose) and goes into a category with the same name as the Item Group. Once it is there, however, does it (or should it) ever get kept up-to-date in that onlinecatalog? I have gone back in and changed the Item Group on the items and nothing synchs over. I don't believe that it should since someone could manually change it on the Web Tools side, but I just wanted to be sure. I didn't see it on the synch spreadsheet, but I do know that the initial synch puts it in the correct place. If someone could please clarify that woudl be great.

Hi Kristen,
I am glad you brought this up, because it was a huge change we made.
The item group in B1 is NOT synonomous to a category in WT, so we stopped synching them in 626, and I expect there are some rough edges.
There are two primary problems:
1. Catalogs are a display mechanism for WT and have completely different properties in B1.
2. WT can have multiple catalogs (ie, itemgroups) and B1 has only one itemgroup. This causes problems with synch objects that require an itemgroup (because you can create WT subcategories that do not exist in B1).
The OnLineCatalog is created as a convenience so you do not have to replicate your item groups from B1. After that, changes no longer synch.
If you look at the catalog table, there is a "b1ItemGroup" catalog that synchronizes with B1 item groups. This is a one way synch, B1->WT, that allows us to populate the dropdowns that require itemgroups to synch back to B1. There are only two--the itemgroup on the Item and the itemgroup on the service contract.
This may be a very dirty fix, so your disparaging comments are more than welcome
I can get into further gory detail on the issue if required.

Webtools 2007 cart page

Hey All,
I am trying to add some additional shipping expenses using the NPOrderExpense object during my clients check out process. I can add the OrderExpenses with no problem and they show up in the database after the shipping page. But if I go back to the cart page at any point during my flow ecommerce deletes all of my Shipping expenses and just adds its own back into the database.
Any ideas why it is doing that?

I should probably not used the word "override".
You can not override the NPOrder.Calculate() that runs on cart. You need to let the cart re calculate and then run your calculation to correct it.
At this point I have assumed you have written all of the code to get the order/expenses/payments the way you want them (when you did the verify page).
Am I right here?
The cart will run the Calculate() and override your work, so you will need to re-run your calculation code to reset the order back to your calculations.
You can do this either on the cart.aspx by adding a prerender event to the aspx:

or to your plugin--if you have created one for this.
At this point, the UI data has been set, so you will probably need to update any totals that are incorrect.

Shipping Cost in Order Sync webtools 2007

Hey All,
Can anyone tell me what the synch does with the shipping rate expenses and shipping total from the NPORder object in regards to how that data is used in Business One?
IE: Do the shipping expenses items get created as additional expenses in a Business one sales order? Is the shipping total column used in the B1 sales order anywhere?
WHere can I find some documentation about this?

Shipping expenses are synched to additional expenses. So are handling and paymentmethod. The expense it synchs to is based on the mapping in OEXD.U_PRX_SID.
There is an Excel file in the SDK that makes an attempt to map the synch fields. This is the closest we currently have to documentation.

Webtools 2007 - SynchManager Error message

I cannot get a green flag in the configuration screen, I get this message...

Richard, I know I tried doing this on a box w/out SAP B1 installed and it threw the same exception. This is definitely due to the DI API .dlls not being registered (see MSDN posts [here|http://forums.microsoft.com/MSDN/ShowPost.aspx?PostID=765439&SiteID=1|Error 80040154 retreiving COM Class factory]). If you didn't install the DI API either by installing SAP B1 or some other fashion, make sure you do that. If you did install the DI API, then Bryce is probably correct in his assertion that something went wrong during the installation.

Porting from Webtools 5.9 to 2007 - Page problem

Hi,
I am trying to port a couple of pages from the old Netpoint and running into some difficulty.
Basically it's a custom Catalog and Category Browser system.
So I have a plugin on the left hand side that renders my top level catalog categories, that's ported OK.
Then each of the categories has a link to a page called "CategoryBrowser.aspx" which then renders the subcategories and so on.
Now, theis page is inherited from NPBasePage ( inherits=netpoint.classes.NPBasePage) so that any defined plugins (i.e the left hand plugin) will also be displayed when the page is loaded.
All worked well in 5.9, however in Webtools 2007, even though the page inherits NPBasePage, it comes up without any of the plugins displayed.
I even made just a simepl test page that inherited from NPBasePage, and its the same issue.
Is there something different that needs to be done fro Webtools 2007?

The architecture changed in WT 6.
The NPBasePage no longer loads the themes.
Now this is this responsibility of the master pages.
