Webutil .dll problem

Hello,
Using Java 6u32 and FireFox 12.0 on XP.
See below, I don't understand where 'null' is coming from. As I understand it should point to the JRE directory (or the \bin inside the JRE dir)?
(I think a solution is placing the .dll files manually in WINDOWS\System32 (java.library.path))

Hi Stephan,
The webutil-related DLLs (jacob.dll, JNIsharedstubs.dll, d2kwut60.dll) are automatically downloaded to the Jinitiator\bin folder on the client machine.
The error "Unable to write to local file ...Jinitiator\bin..." indicates that the attempt to make a local copy of a server side file failed. This could happen if there is no sufficient space on the client side disk and/or the user does not have permissions to the specified directory.
Please follow the metalink note for the same.

I installed LV 7.1 on new Dell with XP.While running the LV application, Windows shuts down to prevent damage to computer as result of "nixsrk.dll" problem. What is the fix?
    Thanks,

How is your application architected? Are you making calls to DLLs using a Call Library Function Node? It might be that for some reason some of the components for your application were installed correctly on the Dell computers. I would suggest that you try some other application and make sure whether the issue is with your application or LabVIEW installation.

    Hi,
since my last itunes update, it won't launch because of a "AVFoundationCF.dll" problem. I'm on a Windows XP system. Can anyone help me please?

Taken at face value, you're having trouble with an Apple Application Support program file there. (Apple Application Support is where single copies of program files used by multiple different Apple programs are kept.)
Let's try something relatively simple first. Restart the PC. Now head into your Add or Remove programs control panel, select "Apple Application Support", click "Change" and then click Repair.
If no joy after that, try the more rigorous uninstall/reinstall procedure from the following post (although it's for Vista and 7, just read "Computer" as "My Computer", read "Uninstall a program control panel" as "Add or Remove programs control panel" and assume the system is 32-bit, and you'll be doing the right things):

Out of respect for Darren, and to clear up the misunderstanding, Darren
is checking in with R&D to get the problem resolved; thank you.
The original response, however, did not state anything about checking
with R&D, or about resolving the problem in 5.1.1. The answer I got
    was:
    Mark,
I tried your VI, and was not able to reproduce the memory leak in
    LabVIEW 6i.
It looks like my test goes along with the individual you spoke of from
    the

    Sincerely,
I was not entirely happy with the response I was given. Rather than
wait until I contacted Darren again, I posted this message with the
response in it, which I am sad to say was careless of me.
What has transpired since then is that Darren did not realize that I
don't have the means to upgrade to 6i. It was then in his message back
to me that he stated that R&D is looking into the problem.
I apologize for the misunderstanding, and will not make such posts

  • MSVCR80.dll problem

Has anyone had a MSVCR80.dll problem when installing the latest version of iTunes? I now am unable to open iTunes at all and cant download a new version either. Help please!

  • Help me please dll problems with Windows XP

My first time installing itunes was a desaster. A messsage appears saying dll problems. And another message " error 0x80040702 IpodFormatSupport"
    My ipod is 4gb.
MY SYSTEM IS A WINDOWS XP PROFESSIONAL.
    Thanks for any help.

First, let's make sure your Windows XP is compatible with iPod. Click on Start, Right Click on My Computer, and then Click on Properties. You want to make sure that you have Service Pack 2. (This is the last line of the first section on the "General Tab")
-If it says Service Pack 1, go to www.microsoft.com and search for Windows XP Service Pack 2. Find it, download it, and then install it. Once you've done that you can try to install your iPod/iTunes software again.
-If there is no service pack listed, go to www.microsoft.com and search for Windows XP Service Pack 1. Find it, download it, and install it. Then you need to go back and search for Windows XP Service Pack 2, and then download and install it. Then you can try your iPod / iTunes software again.
If you do have service pack 2 and you're having these issues, try a quick antivirus/spyware/adware scan, and make sure you don't have anything like that.
If that does not resolve the issue, it could be that your antivirus software is causing interference and not allowing your software to install. Follow the steps in this article, and then try the install again:

Once you've gone through all of this, reply and let us know what's going on.

  • Problem downloading webutil DLLs to the client

    Hi all,
when a PC has never used the application it will be missing the DLLs for use with webutil
    (d2kwut60.dll, jacob.dll, JNIsharedstubs.dll)
our initial screen uses WebUtil and so these 3 files are downloaded as expected
now we start another form (our main form remains open)
then he tries to download again
but that only works for jacob.dll, the other 2 DLLs give this error: WUC-19 : .. cannot write to ... <name of DLL>
    ...DLL is not downloaded
What he says is true, we can not delete this DLL with windows explorer, file is locked by java
    c:\Documents and Settings\MEAAI33\ webutil.WP0606.waak11.properties
    contains the following:
    # WebUtil File Properties
    # Fri April 27 2012 2:37:19 p.m. EDT
    syslib.jacob.dll = 1.10
only solution is to manually add remaining 2 DLLs in this file, which really is not an option as we have over 500 PCs
    how to fix this ?

    Hello,
The <FORMS_HOME>/server/webutil.cfg is located on the Application Server, so that you have nothing to download manually on the clients.
FYI, here is what I have in mine (Forms 10.1.2.0):
    # Change size and version if necessary, like when upgrading the library.
    # Normally this would not be required since most of these libraries come with
    # install itself.

  • Webutil dll path

I am trying to implement OLE using webutil in Forms6i. I have placed the 3 dlls (jacob, JNIsharedstubs and d2kwut60) in the <ORACLE_HOME>/forms60/java/ oracle/forms/webutil/lib directory. I have also created a virtual directory called webutil which points to the above path.
What is the install path I need to give in the webutil.cfg file for the parameter install.syslib.location? If I leave the default which is /webutil, it builds up the path as http://IP addr/ servlet/webutil. Why is it adding servlet in the URL? My form is able to download the dlls if there is no servlet in the URL.
If I place a hard-coded URL as http://IP addr/webutil in the parameter, it works correctly on the intranet but is not able to do so from the internet since the IP addr used is different.
How do I set the parameter value so it works from both intranet and internet? And what does relative to documentbase mean, as indicated in the .cfg file?

I am using Oracle 9iAS 1.0.2.2.1. Where does my webutil directory need to be located in order to leave the default virtual path as /webutil instead of a URL? It does not seem to have any problems getting the JAR files (webutil.jar and jacob.jar) which are also in the webutil/lib directory. It does not seem to append servlet in front of that path. So if it is doing that only for the dlls (which are downloaded only for a form that has webutil.pll attached), then where do I need to place these dlls?

  • WebUtil DLL files location with OAS v10.1.2.3 with Sun Java 1.5

Question about the future Client (under MS Vista) which works with OAS.
With MS Vista on the client, the certified versions are:-
-Clientside: Sun Java 1.5_10 and above
-OAS: v10.1.2.3 (apparently to be released in March 2008)
    See table and notes at
    http://www.oracle.com/technology/products/forms/htdocs/10gr2/clientsod_forms10gr2.html
Our application uses Oracle Web Util 1.0.6.
When this first starts up the server attempts to copy three DLLs (jacob.dll JNIsharedstubs.dll d2kwut60.dll ) to a particular directory (eg c:\program files\oracle\J-Initiator 1.3.1.18\bin ).
This has been a problem for my company's infrastructure since that directory is not writeable for most end-users. We got round the problem by creating a script run just once by the end-user which placed the DLL files in position before application is first run. The application still tries so copy the files, and fails - but this does not matter.
In the MS Vista client envt we will have the Sun Java 1.5 client instead of the J-Initiator.
Is it clear into which directory those three DLL files will be placed with this new client-side setup?
    Thanks.

    Hello Jacob,
Oracle itself can fix the WebUtil issue with downloading DLLs to an appropriate location. However, there's more to running a Forms application on Vista - some of which Sun needs to find a solution for:
If Vista's User Account Control (UAC) feature is activated - which it is by default and which provides additional security compared to XP - Internet Explorer runs in protected mode, i.e. the iexplore.exe process is started with a LOW integrity level. In Vista every securable operating system "object" is assigned an integrity level - process, files, directories etc. each have an integrity level which can have the values low, normal / user, high / administrator or system. Every process started by a normal user will be assigned normal / user integrity level on process creation and thus is able to access all the files to which the user has access rights. The exception to the rule is Internet Explorer which is started with a low integrity level so if any malware / Javascript / IE extension takes control over Internet Explorer it cannot access any files or directories outside of its low integrity level "jail" because process with a lower integrity level aren't allowed to access any objects which have a higher integrity level. This means any program - including the Java plugin and any applet whether signed or not - which runs inside the iexplore.exe process cannot communicate with any process the user started (think about WebUtil's OLE2 to communicate with Office applications) and it cannot download any files to a user-specified directory (think of WebUtil's download features or even client_textio). Furthermore any processes you start e.g. through WebUtil's client_host command will inherit IE's low process integrity level and thus will not be able to do anything meaningful either. The same goes for your own DLLs which run within iexplore.exe.
Java 1.6 Update N will change the Java plugin architecture so that the Java runtime will execute in its own process with a normal / user integrity level and communicate with Internet Explorer via IPC instead of running within the internet explorer process. If you need more information look at the early access release of Update N:
    https://jdk6.dev.java.net/6uNea.html#Overview
I think it would help if you also opened an SR so Oracle support knows there are more customers waiting for a solution.

  • WebUtil dll download error: Unable to write to local file

    Hi,
Hopefully I'm putting this in the correct forums.
I'm setting up a Forms application that uses webutils.
We're running Forms and Reports standalone (10.1.2.3.0) running on Solaris Sparc (64bit) and have just applied patch 7703734.
As per Oracle Support doc [ID 783937.1], I'm trying to set the download location for the webutil libraries:
    install.syslib.location.client.0 = C:\webutil
However, I'm gettting the following error message in the Java 6u16 console (repeated for each of the 3 webutil files)
*2011-Feb-07 12:24:16.988 ERROR>WUC-19 [URLDownload.pullFile()] Unable to write to local file C:\webutil\::dev\d2kwut60.dll. Failed to download URL http://appdev02:7787/forms/webutil/d2kwut60.dll*
I've done a bit of searching and most of the answer's I've come across refer to Vista or Windows 7 and UAC. Unfortunately the SOE for this app is XP Pro SP3.
It's probably something simple I'm missing , but would appreciate and pointing in the right direction.
If you need any more info, let me know.
    Cheers,
    Matt

    Hello
the problem also appears with windows vista
i found a solution but it's not a good one
if you download the files into the java directory
you can modify the userrights and give the user "everyone" the right 'write' for the bin directory.

  • Application/DLL problem on Windows Server 2008 R2

I have an issue with an application which needs to run on a Windows Server 2008 R2 environment.   The issue concerns "msvbvm60.dll" which results in an "APPCRASH" when I try to run the application.
The APPCRASH reports the issue is with msvbvm60.dll version number "6.0.98.15".   We have another customer with Windows Server 2008 (not R2) which has version "6.0.98.2" of the same file and the application works fine there.
    I've got 2 questions really then ...
Could I replace the .15 version with .2?   There appear to be 2 "system" folders on the server "C:\windows\system32" and "C:\Windows\syswow64" - would both of these need to be addressed
Would a later version than .15 cure the problem?
I've trawled this site but unable to find an exact solution or advice that fits my situation.
    Thank you.

Which application? Is that a Microsoft product? If not, I would suggest you contact the software developer for assistance.

Yes, you may give it a try. Usually, put it in WoW64 folder if it's a 32bit DLL. Otherwise, put it in System32 folder.

Again, this is only happening on machines running the Client version.
All machines are Dells running Windows XP SP2 and have at least 1 GB of RAM.
    Please respond A.S.A.P.
    Thanks!

I am aware of the fact that you cannot copy the updated lkworks.dll file to the client version - if you do you will get an "evalutaion version" dialogue box everytime you open the client.
This problem is occuring with all of the updated files, except "lkworks.dll", copied to the Lookout 6.0 folder.
I found out late yesterday afternoon that this crash is occuring on machines running the client version and running my client process file. On machines running the client version but not running the client process file, the crash does not occur. For example, I have one machine running the client version and a logging process file which does not crash. Also, on machines running the server version and the client process file, the crash does not occur. So, it appears that the problem has to do with machines running the client version and the client process file. This process file is much bigger than the logging file I had previously mentioned, about 11Mb. Attached are my client and server files to assist you in diagnosing and correcting this problem.
    Please respond A.S.A.P.
    Thanks!

  • Symcjit.dll problem on Windows2000 - Installation of 8.1.6 fails

    Hi,
I've seen a lot of reference to the JIT dll causing problems
    with P4 chips.
I'd just like to make note that it can (but not always) cause a
    problem on P3 systems.
I've confirmed the problem on Windows 2000 Pro and Windows 2000
Server, using P3 733MHz system with 256 MB RAM, installing
    Oracle 8.1.6 Enterprise Edition.
The exact problem seems to occur when the OUI tries to launch
    the Database Setup Assistant.
Just for the sake of being complete, the solution that worked
    for me was:
    1. Copy the entire CD to the HD.
    2. REMOVE (or rename, doesn't matter) the offending file
    (symcjit.dll)
    3. Run Setup.exe
Contrary to other posts on this site, no other modifications to
any other files were required. Your mileage, of course, may vary.
Wow.. what a frustrating 3 days.

    Sorry Eric,
I posted this as a notice, and never came back. :)
But since I did leave it vauge, I'll answer the question for anyone else that comes along.
The file version (obtained by right-click and Properties, Version tab) for the 8.1.6 install is:
    3.10.0.107
    and is 410 kb.
And the other part: No, you don't need to replace the file. Simply deleting it forces the installer to use a regular java interpreter from the jre on your system, the one currently being used by the Universal Installer perhaps (?), rather than the JIT one you have just deleted.
It's such an easy fix and appears to cause no problems, I wonder why the installer makes a switch to using it, half way through the install.
p.s. The reason I came back here is because I need to perform a second installation on a different box, and I had bookmarked this page. :) For once, I was thinking ahead.

  • Error: libxml2 version 2.6.11 or greater required+php_oci8.dll problem

    Dear all,
While i'm trying to compile php5 for installing on Linux AS 3, I got the error message related to xml lib "configure: error: libxml2 version 2.6.11 or greater required".
although i download libxml2-2.6.22-1.src.rpm from xmlsoft.org and rpmbuild --rebuild this package, i still got the same error message?
How to solve this? My purpose of this installation is to get php_oci8.dll and ora_logon.dll because i can't connect to oracle from php!
    (oracle 9i, linux as 3 and php5)
    Very appreciate for anyone help..,
    iKhmer

Does the ext directory have the php_oci8.dll? In the original steps the PHP dir is renamed. In the given php.in the extension_dir looks like it has been updated correctly. Since PHP distributes php_oci8.dll by default I reckon there would be a very good chance that the problem was somewhere else. Since this is an old thread I don't think we'll get much value from speculation.
