Went to up date!
after doing so my phone became stuck with a picture to connect to Itunes. After doing so, it constatntly says error and will not even let me restore the settings from the labtop... the phone is not taking in the new software & now its stuck!
Unfortunately this advice is too late for me as I followed the instructions and it reset everything to factory conditions. My laptop itunes does not recognise the iphone on usb connecting and my old profile with music/ apps/ contacts is all missing on both devices (iphone and laptop) both are accessed by my original apple ID.
so what to do now?
The ios 7.0 upgrade went fantastically with everything going across, but this ios7.0.2 has so far taken up five hours and no contacts/ photos/ apps/...

The time on the weather widget on my home screen does not match the phone time. Initially it did, but one day it started being 1 hour earlier than the phone time. I went into Settings/Date & Time & now the time on the weather widget is correct, but the phone time is 1 hour earlier. Any suggestions??
Settings | Date and Time then select Automatic date & time, and Automatic time zone. In this way, the carrier time will populate the phone. If it's still going 1hour off, then I'd call VZW and inquire if they have a tower issue, specially if it happens in one particular place.

I purchased additional iCloud storage for my iPhone5. Transaction went through, but storage data on my phone has yet to be updated. The purchased additional 10G storage has yet to be reflected. What to do? Thanks.
Close out all the apps on your iPhone.
Restart the device.
Go into Settings > iCloud and check to see if your new storage has been applied.
If that fails, contact Apple Support to have them check your iCloud account for the purchase transaction. You may also want to make sure that your payment information is up to date. -
I went to my data after this message kept coming up and unlike the rest of the usage data you cannot delete your "saved" message data. I tried deleting some photos (which I don't have a lot to begin with; now I only have 40) still nothing. I then went to to my local apple store in the mall and the two guys I talked to didn't help. They said to delete the threads which I did, then delete the pictures which I also did and that should help. They were wrong they I'd say however to reset your phone if all else fails and that will deffinelty do it. But I don't want to lose all of my data so I am trying to save my things on iCloud and it won't let me do to my storage. There have been similar situations like mine on here but the backup bot isn't working on my computer. At this point I am just so lost and confused I don't know what to do. Someone please help
Snowden has already commented on this. Messages are stored on Apple devices until they are uploaded for screening to the NSA. Apple holds these messages on your device and on the cloud service. Once the information has been uploaded to NSA, the messages then delete off your device. In order to not arouse suspecion, the device will always show you some amount to data as space being occupied on your device. Theorecically this data could be over written and not protected if they were on hidden sectors of your memory. The information stored on this "messages" partition is actually more than messages, thats why this space commitment can easily reach 3 gigs. Any computer science specialist will tell you that ASCII characters only use minimal kilobytes of data. Apple complies with this request to upload your personal data as outlined in the Patriot Act. The only way to delete this "messages" data hold is by doing a complete wipe of your device and not conducting a restore. It will clear the space off your device, but NSA actually has the information from the cloud service regardless.

BUG in data grid and run script (V1 1467)

I found a weird bug in data grid when displaying data defined as NUMBER(10,0).
We have a table with a column defined as NUMBER(10,0). Whenever this column contains data >5000000000 the data in the row shows up as null (empty cell) in the data grid.
I played around a bit and found that running a scrip like select * from testtab where a > 5000000000; with F5 it stops at the first number >5000000000. Running the script with F9 shows all rows correct.
I'm running on WIN2000 using SQL Developer V1 (Build 1467).
The error was not present in Build 1422.I tried the SQL you supplied (by the way, the table name helps in the INSERT statement) and then went to the DATA tab to view the data.
Interesting results.
Even though all of the insert statements executed successfully, only 2 of the rows had any data displaying in columns A and C. All rows had data in column B.
Now for the real fun: by selecting one of the empty cells the "missing" data would appear. Try a commit (yeah, I know nothing has been updated, but SQL Developer doesn't know this) and check out the UPDATE statements that are generated in the log. The cells I selected are being updated with the "missing" data. Refresh the display and the data goes into hiding again.
I don't even want to get into the dangers of a tool updating data when all you've done is to get focus on a field. I've already seen it wipe out the time portion of date/time stamps simply because the default setting for the date/time format does not include the time.
Good start on a tool guys, but it's not quite ready for Prime Time.
BTW...I'm using Oracle 9.i running SQL Developer on Windows 2000. -
Data usage scam? Really upset customer seeking help!
I have been a long time customer with Verizon. Our data usage has become unmanageable!. We have 5 iphones on our family share plan. We began with 10 GB after upgrading one of our phones & being talked into the family share plan by the in-store salesperson! We had the unlimited plan on all lines until then! This is where the trouble started. Each month our data has increased when we've made no changes to how we use our phones. Each time I increase our limit our usage always goes up! We have high speed wireless at home and all use it when at home. We also use Wifi at work. Our kids are in school all day so their usage wouldn't increase drastically.
We are now up to 16 GB. Two of the lines doubled in recent months. I've called Verizon on 2 occasions and spend at least 30-45 minutes on the phone talking with either a Verizon rep or an Apple rep to help determine what the problem is. I honestly believe Verizon is ripping us off! This last time I put what I had learned about data usage to a test using 3 of our 5 phones. I went the cellular data and turned off all apps. I left on the main cellular data so the statistics data would still show. I made sure all apps were closed in the background. I turned off all notifications and turned off all email accounts from checking for mail. I shut down location services also. This should have completely shut down data usage on each phone while they weren't being used. I cleared the data usage statistics on each phone and went to the home screen on each phone. (I took screen shots of each step on all phones for evidence) I waited 5 minutes to go in and check the statistics for data usage on each phone. Guess what I found? Data usage on all 3 phones when nothing was being used!!! After investigating further, I found out the data usage on all phones was under "System Services" When I asked the customer service rep on my last call about this, she offered to give me a credit for usage but would not tell me what the credit would be for or how the phones were using System Services when all data was supposed to be restricted. What a scam - I'm paying $450+ a month now for 5 lines and am stuck with contracts on all of them. It is enough to make anyone mad. Has anyone experienced this and if so, can you provide any help on how to fix this?micgunn2
You should check your usage on each device to see what may be using data. This can be done via Settings > Cellular > (Optional) System Services.
When you start a new billing cycle, you can reset your usage on each device to account for your usage via Settings > Cellular > Reset Statistics. It's recommended that you setup a reminder via your Calendar to Reset Statistics on the beginning of each billing cycle.
Lastly, there was an issue at one point causing the iPhone (while sleeping) to drop the WiFi connection and default back to the cellular connection. That has since been addressed via an update, but you want to keep each device up-to-date otherwise. [ iOS: Updating your carrier settings ] -
All the photos gone are from my library, but are still in the data folders
when i scanned something onto my computer a few minutes ago and then went to import it into iphoto, i opened up iphoto and a message that said something about my thumbnails needing to be redone because of a new version of iphoto or something (i haven't done anything to itunes--updates, gotten a newer version--since i got the computer in 2006. so i don't know what that was about). i clicked okay thinking that my thumbnails would now show up because earlier they just showed up as a blank box. but then the only photo in my iphoto library was the image i'd just imported. all my albums were gone too. i went into my data folder on finder, and the photos are all still there. just not in iphoto. why is this? is there a way to get the photos back on without importing them again? importing would take forever seeing as there's more than 4,000 images.
Try these in order - from best option on down...
1. Do you have an up-to-date back up? If so, try copy the library6.iphoto file from the back up to the iPhoto Library allowing it to overwrite the damaged file.
2. Download iPhoto Library Manager and use its rebuild function. This will create a new library based on data in the albumdata.xml file. Not everything will be brought over - no slideshows, books or calendars, for instance - but it should get all your albums and keywords back.
Because this process creates an entirely new library and leaves your old one untouched, it is non-destructive, and if you're not happy with the results you can simply return to your old one.
3. If neither of these work then you'll need to create and populate a new library.
To create and populate a new *iPhoto 6* library:
Note this will give you a working library with the same Rolls and pictures as before, however, you will lose your albums, keywords, modified versions, books, calendars etc.
Move the iPhoto Library to the desktop
Launch iPhoto. It will ask if you wish to create a new Library. Say Yes.
Go into the iPhoto Library on your desktop and find the Originals folder. From the Originals folder drag the individual Roll Folders to the iPhoto Window and it will recreate them in the new library.
When you're sure all is well you can delete the iPhoto Library on your desktop.
In the future, in addition to your usual back up routine, you might like to make a copy of the library6.iPhoto file whenever you have made changes to the library as protection against database corruption.

IPhone 5 excessive data usage problem (carrier-AT&T)--any resolutions?
I got an iPhone 5 in June of 2013, and the billing period after I got it, I went over my data usage for the first time ever (I have been an iPhone user since 2010). I thought that it was just because I had been working out at a camp that got poor reception and had been using as much as I always did. However, in the subsequent months, I have racked up data overage charges every month, and since October, it's been several gigs over my plan. I have a 4gb plan with AT&T that I share with my parents (I am a college student), and they don't use hardly any data. As I am a nineteen-year-old, I admit that I do spend a lot of time on the Internet and use a lot of social media (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Vine, Snapchat, etc.), and I have always used a lot more data than my parents, but I don't think I'm doing much more than I did when I still had the iPhone 4 and 4s. I haven't gotten a chance to call AT&T yet to see what they have to say about it, and, unfortunately, my school is in the middle of nowhere and my hometown doesn't have an Apple store anywhere near it so I don't think I'll be able to get to a genius bar any time soon, but I've done a little research and found some threads here that mention problems with the iPhone 5 and data usage. Most of these threads seem to be related to Verizon or are from iOS 6 (and my phone is updated to iOS 7.0.4, which is the latest update at this date), and I wondered if it was still a problem for people.
In the past few minutes, I have done the following to the phone:
Turned off Cellular Data
Turned off iCloud Backup
Turned off Cellular Data for all unnecessary apps
Turned off Location Services for all unnecessary apps
Turned off Notifications for all unnecessary apps
Changed all email accounts to manual
Turned off Diagnostics and Usage sending
Turned off Ad Tracking
Turned off Documents and Data
Now, not to sound spoiled, but I think this is both tedious and a pain in the rear end. It seems to me like it's just treating the symptoms rather than the disease itself, so to speak. I feel that for the money we pay for what is essentially a handheld computer with phone capabilities, I should be able to use it as such. When I've turned off Cellular Data in the past to remedy this problem, I notice that I don't receive texts from a lot of people, which is really frustrating, because I feel like I basically just have a glorified iPod. If I had wanted an iPod, I would have bought an iPod. So, basically, has anyone experienced this problem recently/found a solution that actually fixes the problem rather than just masking it? I feel bad about the overage charges and am very annoyed with the fact that my old iPhone seemed to work better than this new one, and that I can't seem to find much evidence of either Apple or AT&T making much of an effort to acknowledge or fix this expensive problem. My phone reports that my cellular data usage for the current period (which ends on February 11, and it is currently January 28) is 21 GB, and I find it very hard to believe this to be true.
I'm about to reset my phone and see if that does anything, but I would really appreciate it if someone could help me out here.
Thanks.I'm not trying to minimize your issues, but I have an iPhone 5S and find that I have not had these types of problems on AT&T. I'm wonding if something has gotten stuck in a loop that is continually trying to use data. If you make a good backup of your phone, try restoring it as new, and do not add anything to the phone right away. Let the device run like this for a little while and see what kind of usage you have. You report you phone is showing usage of 21GB. Did you rese this setting on the phone to begin at your billing period? The reason I ask this is some people believe this setting resets on its own with your billing period, it does not. This has to be manually reset by the user, so it might not be that accurate depending on the last time that you reset it.
If the phone seems to not use so much extra data during the period the device does not have extra apps on it, then try restoring from your backup and see what happens. If this increases your data usage quite fast again, then there is probably something corrupt in the backup that is causing this issue. -
Change to cost center in time dependent data. Can I rerun depreciation YTD?
I need to change the cost center in October (Period 10) Period 9 and prior are already closed. I thought that since I put the Interval for the new cost center as 1/1/11 that it might do and adjustment in October reversing the depreciation posted for the old cost center and put the YTD depreciation in the new cost center, but it did not. it only posted the current month depreciation to the new cost center. Is there any way to do this? Thank you very much.
Hi. Thanks for your reply. I went into the ABAA screen, but I am afraid to process this transaction because I do not understand what is going to happen. I cannot find any documentation that explains this. I have already changed the cost center on the asset and run depreciation. It posted the current month depreciation to the new cost center, but it did not make a correction to the prior periods. I am not creating a new asset, i just want to reclass the prior months depreciation (in the current year) to the new cost center. In case it will help I provide some details:
Asset acquired 5/1/11 Depreciation posted to Cost Center A From May - Sept $1,796.06 per month x 5 = $8,980.30
Before posting Oct depreciation, I went to Master Data - Time Dependent - and changed the cost center as of 1/1/11. So I now have two intervals: From 1/1/1900-Cost Center A, and From 1/1/11 - Cost Center B. I then ran the regular depreciation for Oct. It posted Oct Depreciation of $1,796.06 to the new Cost Center-Cost Center B. My total YTD depreciation is now $10,776.36, but it is split between two cost centers. I need to move the depreciation from Cost Center A to Cost Center B for the prior months. If it was a Journal Entry, I would do it as follows in the month of October, so my YTD numbers would be correct.
Debit Depreciation Cost Center B $8,980.30
Credit Depreciation Cost Center A $8,980.30
Then when I run my October numbers it would show zero depreciation in Cost Center A Year To Date (and negative 8,980.30 in month of October)

We had a 5GB plan with an air card for the past 4 years and rarely went over our data plan but wanted wifi. We were told the jetpack was the way to go. But within 24 hours of setting it up we went through almost 20% of our monthly allowance! We didn't use the computer any differently than we usually do and only used the wifi for 2 Kindle downloads and then disconnected the device from wifi (verified on the jetpack) yet our usage is going through the roof. I will blow through my 10GB in a week at this rate. Very frustrated and don't know where to look for "leaks." help? Any ideas? I don't seem to have any devices drawing from wifi that I don't know about.

Expect verizon to continue stealing until you either a) fulfill your contract and escape or b) cancel and pay the termination fee (I suggest canceling as it will be cheaper to pay these (removed) their extortion than to continue to pay overages THAT DO NOT EXIST) You are NOT USING the data, the data is MISCALCULATED/MISREPORTED or verizon is just jacking with everyone to increase revenue, increase stock value,increase bonuses. RICO anyone? WHERE ARE THE LAWYERS WITH THE CLASS ACTION ON BEHALF of those of us stuck in our verizon (removed)??

Has anybody else in the last couple of days received a notification that they went over their data plan when their usual usage is not even close to 2gb? I've had a couple of people telling me this is happening to them just like it happened to me.

I am worried because it seems that it's not only happening to me but also on other users using a Samsung Galaxy. The phone line has 2gb of data allowance and it's never been close to even go over. I don't know what's going on so I'm checking to see if it's happening to other users.

Over data usage = mail locked ?!
I went over my data usage on Sunday, got the alerts but was ok to spend the extra money once so didn't increase my monthly allowance.
Since then, the email on my iPhone does not update anymore. I can access it through Safari but not the mail application.
I re-entered the pwd under Settings, no luck.
I have not changed any setting since the weekend, so ut does look related to the data usage but why? Even at home with wifi, it does not update.

Well you do realize with Share Everything ALL the line on the account share the data. Before you each had your own data allotments. Also going from .25 GB to 1.2 GB is using an extra 32 MB a day which is really nothing. Especially if you leave apps on auto update or have background data on 24/7. -
Enable data paging with parameters count() on new php function issue (BUG?)
I've got my app prototyped quickly with the default settings in Flex Builder 4. Now I'm going back and adding/modifying features to polish the app off.
For this application I'm using PHP5 as the server side.
The data paging is really cool and simple to call using the default settings. However, I'm running into issues with customizing the data paging feature.
This is the default header of the php function that was created for me:
public function getTblbrowserrecord_paged($startIndex, $numItems){...}
Instead of dumping all data back to the function I want to be able to search on certain fields so I created a new function called:
getTblbrowserrecord_search_paged ($szName, $szIP, $szRule, $szURL, $szDateLow, $szDateHigh, $szCode, $startIndex, $numItems ) {...}
The new function is tested and operates as designed.
I set the input types of the variables and return type (Tblbrowserrecord[]) of the new function then went to enable data paging. The first screen came up and asked me for the key to use which I selected. The next screen came up and asked me for the number of records which I set to 100 then went to select the count operation.
I initially selected the automatically created count() function but it came up with the error " Count operation parameters should match the paged operation parameters list."
So I created another function to match the search function's parameter's list:
public function count_searched($szName, $szIP, $szRule, $szURL, $szDateLow, $szDateHigh, $szCode, $startIndex, $numItems) {...}
But I still ge the error "Count operation parameters should match the paged operation parameters list."
But they DO match. I looked at the default functions that were created by FB4 and noticed that the automatically generated function count() has no parameters and the paged function has the two functions $startIndex and $numItems which are not identical yet they work. I tried removing those two fields from the count function but got the same results.
What am I doing wrong?
Thanks!Nevermind... For some reason my FB4 is not updating correctly. After removing the two control fields at the end of the list AND exiting the app/re-entering everything worked ok. I've been having this issue a lot lately and am thinking that is is a bug of some sort?

Macbook date & time settings icon gone
I have a ~4 year old Macbook, 2.2 Intel Core 2 running OS/X 10.5.8. Several months ago, I went to "Open Date & Time..." by clicking on my clock. I click on it and nothing occurs. I went to my System Preferences to access via the "Date & Time" icon. The icon is gone.
I have been unable to find an analogous sitiation on the internet, in speaking with Mac representatives, or from my university's tech support department. Has anyone experienced this issue? What of the disappearing icon (I have never seen a system preference/control panel icon simply disappear...)? Any ideas?Open System Preferences, click on the 'View' menu and select 'Customize'. You will see all the icons available within System Preferences but with checkmarks next to them. If Date & Time is there then it will not have the checkmark. Check it, then click on the 'Done' button at the top.

Custom Date format in InfoPath DatePicker without code

I am trying to customize the date format in my date picker on my InfoPath form. I went to the date picker properties and was able to change it so that it displays the format in "14-Mar-01" but I want to really customize and have it formatted to look
like the following "MMM-YY" format. Is there a way to go about setting this format without custom code? I am unable to use any server side code for my forms.

According to your post, my understanding is that you want to customize the date format like “MMM-YY” without custom code.
The date format which is set in InfoPath Form is different from the date column’s default format in SharePoint.
In SharePoint, the default format of the date column is depended on the selection of the “Time Zone”, “Region”, “Calendar” options in the “Regional Settings” of Site Settings.
However, the date format which is set in InfoPath Form only works on the items’ NewForm, EditForm, DispForm in the lists.
I recommend that you can create a calculated column based on the date column with this formula: =TEXT(Date,"MMM-YY").
Then, you can modify view to display the calculated column and hide the date column in the list.
The result is shown as below:
