WF Copy from ECC 6.0 system to 4.6 system - sww_wi2obj

Hi,
We are trying to copy a work flow objects from ECC6.0 to 4.6C...where we found the following Select statement.
*Determine Top WorkItem Instance
if im_top_wi_id is initial.
select wi_id top_wi_id wi_rh_task into lw_top_id from sww_wi2obj

As table sww_wi2obj can't be found in 4.6C, can any one help how to replace or implement the same logic as above statements.

The code what I a gave u is in the function module for which only imported parameters are :
BUKRS
BELNR_D
GJAHR
SWW_TASK
SWP_WF_ID
so if im_top_wi_id is initial. then they calling the select statement.
So this case as you suggested to use function module SWL_WI_HEADER_READ, for which what parameter I can pass as Import to get the same result of Select statement.
Sorry for the trouble...

we have developed soap-soap scenarios in XI and we are sending the data from ECC 6.0 -> XI ->3rd party webbased system.
Due to some security reasons we are looking for options of doing the same with out XI ie directly from ECC 6.0 to 3rd party system.
can somebody explain or provide the links for doing the direct connection and also suggest the advantages and disadvantages of eliminating XI completly from the design

Yes, using standard Enterprise services from SAP you can communicate with 3rd party systems also,
Even you can configure the HTTPS communication with R/3 to 3rd Party system. For this you need to install the client Certificates and have to use valid User ID and Passwords.

Disadvantage of communication without XI
1. XI provides the re-usability concept. i.e. if you have just R/3 to 3rd party and tomorrow you may need to add another 3rd party or sap system to communicate, then you just re-use the existing scenario.
But in case of direct communication is leads to point-to-point connection.
2. R/3 can't directly support to the open Standards, either you have to use ABAP proxies or RFCs to convert it to XML format. But XI is an Centralized Integration Platform with Open Standard. In current world, Openness is important.
3. XI has the Ability to communicate with other messaging systems/products may be JMS or any other 3rd party systems also which has the limitations with direct communication
4. Complex processes for communication possible instead of only sending and receiving (business process management) (connect e.g. asynchronous and synchronous steps, define complex communication scenarios)
Mapping etc possible to accomplish in Java. Platform independent Java components.
5. XI has Java & .Net support. which is not possible with directly R/3

Problems if code copied from ecc 6.0 to ecc 4.7

HI Experts,
If i copy code from ecc 6.0 to ecc 4.7 any problems will arise. like function modules not exist. Please let me know the basic problems which i can face if i do this copy from 6.0 to 4.7.

why don't you just test it? Copy it over and do a syntax check.
If there was no difference then SAP would not need to provide different releases.
Of course there are function modules in current system which were not written when 4.7 was launched at the market. When we implemented ECC6 we upgraded as well to Unicode which forced us to change coding in old programs.
There are ABAP commands which have not been there at 4.7 times.
You can't get a clean bill of health for such generic question, you can just test it, and if there is trouble then you need to fix it to make it run.
If you have read some OSS notes for new developed functionality then you could know how rarely SAP offers the option to implement such function in a lower releases.

Customization copy from ECC Prod to Dev

Hi gurus,
There is a complaint from our BI team that so much of customization was directly made in QA in the early phases of the SAP Implementation Project and this was not re-developed in DEV and moved to QA and Production. This has resulted in loss of customization in development and is not suitable for Unit and Product testing.
To put Prod and Dev in sync with customizing, I propose to export Prod / QA client 100 (with SAP_CUST profile) and import into DEV client 100. What are your views on

Data copy from infocube to infocube in two different BW systems

Dear All,
If i have a scenario like i have an infocube for sales in two different bw systems, and if i want to send the data from one infocube to another infocube what would be the strategy we have to follow. Is it that i need to send it as a flat file or is there any other mechanism with which i can send the data into the other infocube.

no, you have no need to send it as flat file if you have these 2 bw connected,
you can use datamart scenario, where one bw act as source system for the other bw, we have such discussion several times, you can check the steps

CRM Return/Complaint - Manual Condition not getting copied from ECC Invoice

Hi There,
I am creating Return/Complaint Request and referencing <i>ECC Invoice in TRANSACTION DATA > Referenced Documents Tab.</i>.
All other condtions are getting copied except the <b>manual fixed price and manual discount.</b> These condtions are present in the referenced ECC Invoice. So while referencing ECC invoice all the condtions should get copied to CRM Return/Complaint Request.
Please suggest.

Replicating Quotation overall status from ECC to CRM

Hi,
we're using quotation management replication scenario A in ECC6 and CRM 5.
when the quotation is referenced to sales order in ECC, the overall status becomes "completed" in ECC. but somehow, the overall status of the quotation in CRM remains "not processed".
is there anyway i can get the overall status in ECC replicated to CRM for Quotation Management?

Hi Susana,
i got reply from SAP mentioning that this is standard behavior. unless i replicate the referencing sales order document from ECC to CRM, then the CRM quotation system status won't be set to completed whenever it is referenced to sales order in ECC. we do not have any business need to have the sales order in CRM, but that's the way it is.

Problems when trying to transfer location from ECC to APO

Hello,
I am trying to transfer some locations from ECC to APO via CIF, but a system error appears: "Message no. SR053, data error for the location address 1000". For this reason I have not been able to transfer any location to APO. Could anybody tell what could the problem?

Based on your answer we changed some settings and now we are able to transfer locations from ECC to APO, but the error message is still showing, so even tough the error is not stopping the transfer now, we are not able to find what could be the problem. Any more ideas about what we need to check?

System copy for ECC 6.0 system no j2ee process under MMC

Dear support,
This has been observed in many of our clients system which are on ECC 6.0 abap+java system, that after we perform system copy from one system to another
whether it is Oracle platform or mssql server platform ( system copy for oracle using controlfile script ) ( system copy for mssql with restoring .BAK file from source )
systems are running fine but j2ee process table showing no processes like
SDM, dispatcher , server0
even configtool and go.bat are unable to connect.
Is there any specific settings we do after system copy for java side
Please let me know at earliest, as it is most strange thing i have seen in almost all my system where system copy is performed.I have already raised a post against this error but at that time i was not aware of this system copy reason behind the same.

Your main problem is not, that you don't see anything in MMC (the system can be added manually without much hazzle) - but is, that you database content of schema SAP<SID>DB does not match the data found on the filesystem.
If you copy the filesystem structure from production to test/qa, you need to make sure, the database and filesystem are in sync. You will have two problems if you "just copy them":
- They are out of sync because your production was going on running since you copied the backup files
- all configuration (all java property sheets) is/are set to point to the production system instead of the test/qa system
I doubt, that it will work if you copy it over. This also explains, why you can't even start configtool, because it points to the wrong system/schema. You MAY be able to fix all that manually, but you may encounter subsequent errors because not all configuration is documented, you would need to step into the whole j2ee tree and look at each and every propertysheet to find out, whether it's correct or not. Additionally, the database may have other information (see above) and all that may become overwritten during bootstrap.
So - the best way to get your system up and running quickly is to start sapinst on the source system, export your Java instance (not using ABAP but the Java dump) and re-importing that to your test/qa system.

Pass batch number from ECC system to GTS

Hi Experts,
I want to pass material batch number(MSEG-CHARG) to GTS system while creating the material document(GR) in ECC system. This batch number should be displayed in item level at custom declaration screen and should be stored at table /SAPSLL/CUSWLM.
Could you please help me how to do this? actually at ECC side i m not getting the api where i can pass batch number. also at gts how to retrieve the same even if we able to pass the same from ECC

Warehouse 001 does not exist to copy from in our ERP system

Trying to create a new warehouse in warehouse management. Went to the class SCM630, they said to copy from warehouse 001. But we don't have warehouse 001 to copy from in our ECC 6.1. Where can we go to acquire that warehouse 001 setup?

Client copy (export/import) from ECC to BW

It is technically feasible to import a client exported from a NW system installed as ECC 6.0 into a NW ABAP Stack (designed to be a BW system)?

1. SAP_ALL profile would not copied using export/import method (SAP ECC --> BW ABAP) as most of the tables of ECC are not present in BW (mismatch of data dictionary structure).
2. You can copy SAP_USER (user master record)
3. If your ECC and BW systems are not in same transport landscape/shared transport directory (trans group), then copy/ftp the export files from ECC (data and cofile) to BW system (same path - usr/sap/trans) and add the transport requests manually to import buffer of target system/client.

Error in phase import Homogeneous system copy from a BI 7.3 dual stack ABAPJAVA

I'm doing a Homogeneous system copy from a BI 7.3 dual stack ABAP+JAVA system with an Oracle DB (11g version, 11.2.0.3.0 patch level) with AIX ibm OS.

Before anything update DB shared lib, R3load, R3ldctl and R3szchk in the target system. Also Check in source system if you have any tables o index missing in db02 transaction, If this system wa upgraded from a previous release please check TAORA and IAORA tables in source system and check all the tablespaces named in those tables are created in the target system.

Stock value is not getting updated in APO system From ECC automatically but if we do it manually from transaction CFM2 it will get updated.
for this we are using EXIT_SAPLCSTK_001.
I am using VL10A for delivery and VL06G for PGI
I have also checked integration model for material and stock.
Please help me out as it is very urgent.

for transferring the stock data from R/3 to APO automatically, you need to have the integration model for material and stock activated.
please check the same.

Loading failed from ECC to BW due to sharing port with XI system

Hi,
I need some help here, currently my company has 2 sandbox systems, one for ECC(R/3) and another one is for XI/BI netweaver 2004s. Since the BI box is shared with XI, we have problem everytime we load the data to the BI master data/ods/cube .
It seems there is something wrong with the data port setting/configuration.
The error message that was given in RSMO transaction always showed:
"Errors while sending packages from OLTP to BI
Diagnosis
No IDocs could be sent to BI using RFC.
System Response
There are IDocs in the source system ALE outbox that did not arrive in the ALE inbox of BI.
Further analysis:
Check the TRFC log.
You can access this log using the wizard or the menu path "Environment -> Transact. RFC -> In source system".
Error handling:
If the TRFC is incorrect, check whether the source system is fully connected to BI. In particular, check the authorizations of the background user in the source system."
Now after checking this in TRFC in source system and BI system, there was nothing wrong, no IDOCs was listed there or got hold up. We have checked the user authorization with our basis here, we use id called PIREMOTE that has same setting as SAP ALEREMOTE id. So we are not sure what went wrong since the connection in SM59 seemed to be working fine.
When we checked into Details tab at the RSMO screen for detail explanation, we got the following message under Transfer (IDOCs and TRFC) section:
"Request IDoc : Application document not posted
Info IDoc 1 : sent, not arrived ; Data passed to port OK
Data Package 1 : arrived in BW ; Processing : Selected number does not agree with transferred n "
We believed that the error could be related to the partner profile and data port setting in WE20/WE21 in source system (DEVCLNT150) and BI system (NWDCLNT001). It seems that the data is pointed to XI port rather than BI port since the ECC-XI work demo worked fine and ECC-BI work demo ended up in trouble.
The R/3 system partner profile (DEVCLNT150) and BI system partner profile (NWDCLNT001) has setting as following
in outbound parameters:
with Message type RSINFO (IDOC basic type RSINFO) and RSSEND (IDOC basic type ZSNB004),
both message types are pointing to BI data port (NWDCLNT001)
The inbound parameters cointains message type RSRQST (process code RSRQ).
I have been trying to search the solution for weeks, but i couldn't find the right solution.
I tried to change the partner profile setting but instead it didn't work for XI and BI so i set the setting back to original after complaint raised by XI team.
We don't want to lose the current connection that we have for XI system since they use it for XI demo, but in the same time we need to send data to BI system for our demo purposes.
Please advice any steps or solutions that work. Do we need to clean up some SAP tables that setup the port or do we need to run some transactions?
